  “Yes, GramMa,” I said. “I will call you as–”

  The screen went black and the call ended.

  “Nice talking to you, too, GramMa,” I chuckled and put the phone back in my pocket.

  “They called me… they called me…” Cherry’s soft sobs grabbed my attention. I looked down to find her looking up at me with tears streaming down her face. Quickly, I leaned down and kissed her. When I pulled away, I smiled.

  “Mom,” I said, finishing her sentence.

  “And GramMa called me mo… Levan, am I dreaming?”

  “No, Cherry. You aren’t dreaming,” I kissed her forehead. I looked down at Claire and Mary, and then back at Cherry. “This is your life. All of this. Is it okay that you aren’t dreaming?”

  “Yes,” she whispered and nodded. “It is absolutely okay that this is my life. I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
