Forever Came Calling Page 6

by B. C. Falls

“Okay, big guy.” Kayden says pulling Dane back by the shoulder.

  “Dude,” Dane groans. “Not cool.”

“She’s our sister just tone it down man,” Luke argues. Dane doesn’t respond and I just flip them both off.

I turn back around and start chatting up Barbie again, Dane keeps his arm around my waist and to keep me against his chest. I love the feeling of being in his arms like this out in the open. Everyone around us can tell he’s mine just by looking at us and I’ve never felt more proud.

Soon the lights go down and the beginning instruments to Dark Paradise start. I get all giddy and start moving my hips to the music. Lana comes on stage and I almost spill my beer when she starts signing.

“This is so awesome!” I yell. Then I become the “woo girl” everyone hates. I sing every single song cause that’s how big of a Lana fan I am. I pay attention to no one but myself and how awesome this moment is.

I’m pretty sure Dane is enjoying himself by the feel of his dick pressed up against my ass.

I turn around in his arms when Without You comes on. It’s one of my favorite songs. Dane smiles down at me when I start singing it to him. Every word rolls off my lips like I’ve sang this song a million times, and I probably have. “You really know how to move your hips,” Dane whispers in my ear. He pushes his hips against me and I moan a little.

I lean my forehead against his and run my fingers through his beard and up into his hair. “I can be your china doll, if you like to see me fall.” I sing in his ear before licking it, his growl only heats up my body even more. I lean back and pull his head down until his lips find mine.

We only make-out for one more song even though we would’ve gone on for longer. Luke spilled his beer on Dane’s boots. I push Luke back making him bump into someone. He apologized, but turns back to me with a pissed off look that I’m sure matches mine. “What the fuck, Luke?” I ask. “Don’t do shit like that.”

“I don’t want to see you two making out,” he says. “It’s not right.”

“Not right?” I ask. “I watched Kayden tongue fuck three girls in one night when I was twenty. You are way older than that so don’t be a fucking kid. Grow up!” I chug the rest of my beer and turn back to the stage.

“Sorry baby,” Dane wraps his arms around me again and pulls me into him tightly.

“Let’s just have a good time,” I run my hand up into his hair and hold on to him. I get back into the music and keep moving my hips. I enjoy the feel of having a man who will treat me right. I needed this badly.

Four songs later and the concert is over. I’m still extremely happy though and as we leave I hold on to Dane. Barbie and I keep talking about the best parts of the concert. “Those fireworks we’re so awesome. Could you imagine being up there? It must be so hot.”

“I know! I would sweat my ass off,” I agree.

“That was so cute when you sang Without You to Dane,” I smile shyly. I hadn’t realized people had been watching. Luke already gave us shit and I’m sure he’ll tell Dallas all about it.

“Yo Puckett!” Someone yells, drawing all of our attention to the left. “Luke!” he yells.

“Shit man, we almost made it,” Kayden sighs. “Go to the bike, Barbie.”

“Go with her,” Dane tells me.

“No,” I say. “I’ll stay and watch you beat those fools up,” he laughs and kisses me quickly.

“What do you want?” Luke asks, pushing the whore behind him.

“You get a new bitch?” Luke doesn’t even seem to care about the whore being called bitch. “What about my sister? She meant nothing to you?” the guy starts walking towards us with two other guys trailing behind him.

  “She left me,” Luke responds.

“Go baby,” Dane tells me. I don’t move though and he pushes me behind him. “Stubborn,” he mumbles.

“You took her eyes!” the guy yells. “I told you if I ever saw you again, I’d beat your ass.” he starts rolling up his sleeves like he’s going to fight.

“I’m a cop and I won’t press charges or fight back, Daniel,” Luke says. “I promised her I wouldn’t.”

“What the fuck do promises mean to you? Huh? Our whole life has changed because of you!” he starts running towards us and before he can even get to Luke, Dane puts his fist against the guys face, knocking him out. The other two guys stop when Dane pushes his jacket aside and holds the butt of his gun tempting them to do something.

“Go home. Now!” he demands. The two guys pick Daniel up and carry him off. Dane turns around putting his hand on Luke’s shoulder before coming to me. “Let’s go.”

“This was such an up and down night,” I state.

“The best night ever though!” Barbie says.

“Oh hell yes! I fucking love Lana,” I woo again. “Thank you,” I hug her.

“No problem, love. See you on the road.”

“Stay together,” Dane tells Kayden and Luke. They both nod in response.

All three bikes stay within sight of each other the entire way back to Miller Falls. My feet hurt. My whole body aches from being on the back of this bike in the freezing cold and I can barely keep my eyes open as we ride back to my house. Dane has been touching my leg every once in a while to make sure I’m awake. I tap his chest every time in response.

We pull into my driveway a little after midnight. I take my time getting off the bike after him. “Cold?” he asks.

“Freezing,” I say back. I had my hands inside his jacket and against his chest, but even his heat couldn’t keep them from being cold.

“Come on,” he says as he pulls me into his arms and walks me to my door. Before I can get my keys out, he’s unlocking it and pushing me inside. “It’s cold in here,” he says.

“I know. I don’t turn the heater on often.” I pull him back to me just inside the door. “You’re warm,” I smile up at him. “So warm,” I kiss him lightly. “Thank you for taking me with you.”

“I wouldn’t have taken anyone else.” He kisses me. “I should go,” I frown. “I have work early and I’m trying to be a gentleman.”

“Be a gentleman later.” I lift up and smash my lips to his. “I want you,” I whimper when he tries to pull away. “Please, Dane.”

“Fuck Royce, you can’t just…” I kiss him again and that, thank God, snaps his control. He halls me off my feet making my legs go around his waist. He carries me over to the couch and sits down with me in his lap. I moan when I feel his cock push right against my needy parts. “I’m not fucking you tonight,” he says before moving his lips to my neck. One of his hands is in my hair pulling just enough to tilt my head back. “One day we will and when we do it’ll be worth the wait.”

  “Please Dane,” I beg.

“Soon, baby.” He drops lower pushing my jacket to floor behind us. “Off,” he pulls my shirt up and over my head. “Do you think I can make you come by just sucking on your nipples?” I don’t have to answer. He pulls one into his mouth and sucks hard while I grind on his lap, trying to get any type of friction I can.

The sensations running through me could be called amazing but that one word doesn’t even describe how it feels to have Dane touching me like this. “Jesus,” I moan. The feel of his beard moving against my sensitive skin sends shivers through me, and he pulls my other nipple into his mouth sucking harder.

With a pop he releases it. “Like cherries.” He moves back up to my lips, kissing me with a demand I’ve never felt before. It’s like he can’t get close enough to me, deep enough in my mouth to quench the thirst that is running through both of us. Our hips move together, both of us wanting more, but not giving in. “I can feel your heat, Royce. I bet you’re so fucking wet for me.”

“Find out,” I challenge, but he doesn’t.

“Not yet,” I groan as if I’m in pain from not being able to have more of him. He pulls on my hair until my lips are against his again and because he’s so hard, so perfect between my legs, I feel myself getting cl
oser and closer to the edge.

“Dane,” I moan. I’ve never come like this before. “I’m going to—” I don’t get to finish, he pulls one of my nipples into his mouth and tugs on it with his teeth sending me into the deep end. I push down with my hips as I come, fisting his hair in one hand and digging my nails deep into his neck with the other.

“Fuck.” Dane tenses under me and I smile knowing that he’s just as affected by me as I am him. “Jesus fucking hell babe, it’s like I’m a teenager again.” He kisses my shoulder as we both try to catch our breaths. “Your skin is so kissable.” I hold his head to me as he kisses and licks all over my neck and chest.

“I love the feel of your beard,” I tell him. “I can’t wait to have it between my legs,” he chuckles against my skin.

  “Bathroom?”

I laugh, “You built the place.”

“Right.” He lifts me off his lap and places me next to him on the couch before getting up. “Be back.” He walks to the bathroom off the main hallway. I let him get all the way into the bathroom before I get up and follow him. I push the door open after him. “What are you doing?” Hehasks.

“Helping.” I drop to my knees in front of him and pull on his belt and unbutton his jeans.

“Royce,” he warns, “Not tonight.” I push his pants down just enough to free him.

“Oh God.” The front of his boxers are soaked. “Is that all for me?” I ask. I’ve never wanted to taste or touch someone so badly. He’s obviously well endowed, but I have no clue how well with his boxers in the way.

I start to tug them down, but he stops me. “Yes. Now up.” He pulls on my arms until I’m standing in front of him. “We will get to that, baby.” He pulls me against him, molding my front to his. “I want to take my time.”

“I’m throwing myself at you, Dane.”

“Do you think it’s easy for me to resist that? I’m getting hard again just having you half naked in my arms. I want you, Royce, never fucking doubt that. But I’ve jumped into shit with women and found that nothing good comes from that. We both need to be sure where we want this to go before we have sex.” I push my bottom lip out in a pout. “I promise I won’t make you wait forever,” he leans down and sucks my bottom lip into his mouth until I react and kiss him. “I’m gonna clean up.” He let’s me go and I reluctantly step out of the bathroom to let him.

Dane comes out a few moments later. I’ve got my shirt back on and my boots off. “I guess this is it,” I say standing in front of him.

He nods and I walk him to the door and before he goes he kisses me. “Night baby,” he whispers against my lips.

“Night.” I push him out the door making him chuckle. “Call me.”

“Will do.” I shut the door. “Lock it!” he yells.

“Caveman,” I mumble while locking the door.

  CHAPTER FIVE

  Royce

“I don’t know, Blake. I mean, I dress normal and sexy for him and nothing seems to work. It’s been two months! A whole two freaking months of stolen kisses and long damn nights of me masturbating and fantasizing about him. I mean, he sometimes let’s me dry hump him and we make out a lot, maybe he touches me, maybe not,” I’m trying to put myself together for work, but I’m frustrated all to hell by Dane not fucking me. “But that’s it and it only got worse after that huge car pile-up. He was so distant for a week, then he couldn’t keep his hands off of me. That sucked because he still didn’t want to have sex and I still haven’t gotten his dick out of his damn pants.”

Blake sighs, “Have you worn that skimpy dress? That thing could make the Pope sleep with you?”

“Which one? I have three very skimpy dresses.” I decide against doing my hair and just leave it down. It looks like I rolled out of bed, but I kind of like the look.

“The black one, short, when you bend over you can see your ass?”

“Oh shit! I forgot about that dress,” I put my finger up to my lip and tap it. “This could be a good idea. We’re supposed to go to a dinner for the club tonight. It’s some family thing. I wasn’t really paying attention when he told me about it.”

“It’s your Dad’s birthday,” she says.

“What?” I ask. “No, it’s not his birthday. It isn’t until Novem—oh shit.”

Blake laughs, “How do you forget what date it is?”

“I don’t know. I’ve been busy. Kady has a swim meet every weekend and I’m almost never home. Dane takes me out every chance he gets. All we do is freaking talk or make out. I constantly try to fuck him, but he doesn’t budge.”

  “He’s being a gentleman.”

“I don’t know why. I’m anything but a classy lady.” I grab my toothbrush, “Hold on, I have to brush my teeth,” I tell her.

As I start, she goes on about her days and life in general. It’s nice to talk to her. We’ve missed two weeks because of our separate lives. There was a time when Blake and I used to do everything together. We’d constantly be texting or seeing each other every day. I miss that. I miss my best friend.

“So I told Jim to shove the job up his ass, and you know what he said?”

“What?” I mumble through my toothpaste. I laugh at myself. I look ridiculous. I’ve got on a black thong and one of Jeff’s old Navy shirts, one I shouldn’t even have anymore.

Jeff. I haven’t thought of him in weeks.

“Royce, are you listening to me?” Blake asks, probably surprised that I didn’t react to her telling me what her boss Jim said.

I spit out my toothpaste and rinse my mouth out. “Sorry. I just thought of Jeff.”

“Oh,” is all she says. “I haven’t heard you talk about him in a while.”

“He hasn’t been on my mind. Dane has. I’m distracted, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I don’t know. I never thought that this day would come.”

“When you wouldn’t think of him anymore?”

“Yeah. I know he hurt me, broke us, but at the same time I thought I was going to marry him.” I slide down the wall behind me and pull my knees up to my chest. “I don’t miss him, but then…” I feel the tears coming, “I miss the old days, Blake.”

“I know, babe. It’s better now, though. You have Dane. You are living your life. Don’t sit there and cry about him and what he’s done, because you know as well as I do that if I was there I’d kick your ass.”

I laugh, leave it to my best friend to get me out of a funk. “He would.” I wipe the lone tear that falls for him.

I hear a knock at my door. “Royce?” Kady asks.

“Hey, Blake, I gotta go. Kady needs me.”

  “Okay, keep your head up.”

  “Will do. Love you.”

  “Love you, too.”

I quickly hang up and reach for my jeans. “Come in,” I call out, once I have them on. “What’s up?” I ask Kady. She’s all ready for school, dressed in her normal jeans and a nice top. Today, it’s black jeans and a coral colored blouse. I love the style she has. It’s comfortable, yet cute, and easy to throw together on a rush. I have a similar style, but kind of go for a more adult look than her.

“I heard you talking to Blake,” she frowns, and her eyes go to the floor. Kady knows she can’t tell anyone else about Blake and if she does, to use Leah instead.

“What did you hear?” I worry. I seriously hope she didn’t hear me talking about Dane.

“About Jeff,” her eyes sadden. She knew Jeff, but not what he did to me and if I’m being honest, I won’t ever tell her about it.

“Come here.” I sit on the bed and pat the spot next to me. She comes over quickly and sits down. I wrap my arm around her shoulders and her head falls onto it. “Jeff was good, huh?”

“Yeah,” she pulls the necklace he got her out from under her shirt and thumbs the ring hanging there. “I miss him.”

  I don’t respond.

I met Jeff when I was eighteen. We were friends for about two years before we started dating. Jeff was always the protector. At least, that
’s what I thought. Most of the time when I’d take Kady out, before I adopted her, he’d come with us. He grew to love her as much as I did.

  “He loved us,” I say.

“I know,” she says, and I wrap my arm around her again.

“Kady, you don’t mind me seeing Dane, do you?” I ask, I’m nervous as to what she’ll say. When Kady and I first met Jeff and I were together and now I’m not sure how she’ll feel about someone new.

“I like Dane. He makes you smile.”

“Does he make you smile?” I ask.

  “Yeah. He’s funny.”

  “Funny, huh? Aren’t I funny?”

She laughs. “Yeah, you are, but Dane is so serious all the time that when he is funny, it’s even more funny.”

“I guess he is funny.” I look up at the clock on my dresser. “Shoot kid, we gotta go.”

I’m cleaning up one of the stations towards the back of the class when my phone rings. I’ve got about ten minutes before lunch is over and the kids who were in here, just minutes ago, left a bit of a mess. I pick up the last beaker and put it in the cabinet above the sink on the back wall. My phone keeps on ringing and I run over to it. It’s Dane.

“Hey you,” I say. I check my watch “I have nine minutes.”

“That’s fine. I just wanted to hear your voice.”

  “Oh yeah?”

  “Yeah.”

It’s a good twenty seconds before I say, “So, how’s your day?”

  “Good.”

“Dane, you can’t just call me and say nothing.” Seriously, he has a problem. I constantly talk when we’re together. Unless I ask a question, he doesn’t say much and when he does finally talk or tell me something about himself, its quick and in few words.

“I said my day was good.”
