by B. Love

“Don’t do that shit no more,” he ordered into her ear softly. “I’ll give it to whoeva want it over you, you hear me?”

“I know, big brother. I love you.”

“You better. I love you too.”

“How you gon’ tell him you love him before you tell me?” Donovan teased, pulling her from his arms and wrapping his arm around her neck.

“Fuck both of y’all. I’m the oldest,” Pressure countered.

“And?” was Drecco’s reply. As Donovan led her out of the office, Drecco told her, “Aye, make me a pan of them caramel pecan brownies with the sativa in ‘em please.”

  “When do you want them?”

  “Shit, today.”

Christian chuckled as she nodded. “I can do it tomorrow. I’m going over Nash’s folks house in a couple of hours.”

  “Aight cool.”

“What’s up with you and him anyway?” Donovan asked once they’d made it to her car.

Her shoulders lifted casually as she grinned. “I mean… that’s my boo.”

He smiled and nodded as he opened her door. “’Bout time. Took that mane long enough.”

“Whatever.” Donovan’s smile fell as he stared at her. Even if he wouldn’t admit it, Christian knew he was still worried about her. “I’ll be okay, Don.”

Smiling softly, he nodded as his eyes glistened. “I know.”

Looking away, she inhaled a deep breath and started her car. “Gone now before you make me cry.”

He chuckled and placed a kiss to her cheek. “I’m here if you need me, aight?”

  “Aight.”

  “One love.”

  “One love.”

Donovan shut the door of her SUV then made his way back inside the restaurant. As much as Christian didn’t want to admit it, she was glad Audré had snitched. If nothing else came from the moment, she was reminded of the fact that her brothers loved her and was proud of her… and that was enough to have her floating on cloud nine.

Everyone was happy and nowhere near surprised to find out that Nash and Christian were an official couple. They’d decided to wait a full month before telling anyone about the change in their relationship status – though some people, like Leigh and Maria, were able to pick up on it immediately. For them, Christian didn’t hide it, she simply agreed when they observed and questioned her about it.

Christian looked from Nash to his father as they joked back and forth about who would lose their annual bbq cookout. There were certain things about both men’s bbq that she liked. While Nash preferred making sure his meat was tender and dry seasoned to perfection, his father focused more on his sauce. If they combined both, they’d have the best bbq in Memphis.

“Okaaay,” his mother, Dionne, almost sang as she entered the living room. Her hands were behind her back as she walked over to Christian.

Christian smiled as she looked up at Dionne.

  “What I do?”

Dionne laughed as she pulled her hands, and the apron they held, from behind her back.

“Made my son happy.” Her eyes trailed over to Nash. “I want to give you this. It’s your open invitation to join me in the kitchen any time you’d like.”

Christian’s mouth formed an O as she extended her arms to take the apron. The apron she’d coveted ever since she came over for their first family dinner years ago. Every wife in the Owens family had a silver or gold custom designed apron – and you could only get one by marrying into the family.

“Oh she like you like you,” Keisha, Nash’s sister in law, confirmed. “I didn’t even get my apron until I was married to Ivan for three months.”

“Well that was because your ass can’t cook baby,” Ivan, Nash’s brother, offered.

She smacked the back of his head and everyone laughed. Except Nash. All he did was stare at the side of Christian’s face with love in his eyes.

“Thank you so much, Mama. I love this and I feel so special. Thank you!”

Christian stood and gave Dionne a hug as she whispered, “Welcome to the family.”

“Everybody putting me in my feelings today.”

Dionne laughed as Nash stood and took her hand. After giving his mother a kiss on the cheek, Nash led her out of the living room. They went back to the guest room that used to be Nash’s room. When she saw him lock the door, she shook her head as she plopped down onto the bed.

  “No, sir.”

  “No sir what?”

“You are not getting any pussy in your parents’ home.”

Faux offense on ten, Nash scoffed as he sat next to her. “What would make you think I bought you back here for something like that?”

Christian chuckled as his hand slid up her thigh. “Because I know you.”

  “How do you feel?”

Not answering right away, Christian allowed the moment that had just transpired to settle within her. His mother’s acceptance of her meant everything. Even though Christian’s relationship with Porsha was better than it was during her teenaged years, there were still things she didn’t share with her mother that she could talk to Dionne about. Dionne also shared her faith with Christian in a way that made it easier for her to believe.

She was… the kind, spiritual soul Christian wished her mother would have remained. Ricky’s effects on her mother had faded away for the most part, but there were still things about Porsha that showed his damage.

“I feel good. The fact that she gave me that apron… I’m really honored. I mean, I knew she liked me as your friend, but this just makes me feel like she really sees a future for us.”

  “You don’t?”

“I do, but I’m happy that she sees it too.”

“You know what I want to see?” Rolling her eyes, Christian cheesed as Nash stood and pushed her down onto the bed. “That pussy gripping this dick.”

“Nash, no. I’ll give you some head, but we are not having sex here.” Christian sat up and began to unbuckle his pants. “And you better cum quick. I don’t even want them thinking we’re back here having sex.”

  “Mane… they’ll be aight.”

Ignoring him, Christian pulled his hardened shaft out of his boxers. It was heavy in her hand, and just the thought of tasting him had her mouth watering. There was no way in hell she’d be able to get all of him into her mouth, but Christian was confident that she’d be able to please him and make him cum quick.

Christian twirled her tongue around his head, moaning the second she wrapped her mouth around him. She savored the taste of his precum before sliding the length of her tongue down the back of his shaft. Her cheeks locked around him and she sucked, getting a groan out of him. Once her saliva had his shaft slick enough, Christian began to stroke him with her hand as she sucked.

Nash’s hand went to her high bun, squeezing gently as he muttered a quiet, “Shit.” Looking up at him, Christian took as much of his length into her mouth as she could. The tighter his grip got on her hair the faster she went. Releasing him from her mouth, Christian continued to stroke his dick with her hand while the free one began to massage his balls. Her tongue slid up and down the space between his balls and asshole, eliciting the reaction she wanted out of him.

Moaning as if they were in the house alone, Nash surrendered to the pleasure she delivered with no hesitation. It wasn’t long before a low, “Fuck,” fell from his lips as his body jerked. Christian lifted herself up and took him into her mouth, making his orgasm even more intense as she swallowed his seeds.

“You think you not finna give me no pussy after that?” Nash challenged, stroking his dick as she sat back with her elbows on the bed and an accomplished smile on her face. “You don’t suck a nigga soul out his dick and not expect him to fuck that pussy up in return.”

“Nash…” Christian giggled as he tugged at her jeans. “We can’t, boo.”

  “Please, sweetheart. I’ll be quiet.”

“It’s not you I’m worried about,” she confessed through her pout. Christian helped him pull her sh
irt over her head. “I don’t want them hearing me moaning your name.”

“They probably just heard me moan yours!”

Her laugh bounced off the walls as he pushed the cups of her bra down. “Shut up, crazy!”

“Let me just put the head in,” he settled with a grin as he pushed her further into the bed.

“You know that’s not all you gon’ do.” Turning over, Christian got on her hands and knees – his favorite position.

  “You don’t play fair.”

She gave him a wink before removing the elastic bands that were holding her hair. Groaning deep within his throat, Nash bit down on his bottom lip as he pushed her panties to the side.

He made his way into her slowly, and Christian immediately buried her head in the comforter. Her pussy was already soaking wet, so it didn’t take long for the sticky sound of her nectar coating him to mix with the smacking of their bodies colliding slowly.

“It’s so deep,” she whimpered, arching her back more… as if it was even possible to make more room for him. “I don’t know if I can take it.”

“You gon take every inch of this dick.” Taking a handful of her hair, Nash pounded into her harder, keeping his same slow pace. “Where you feel it?”

It took her a while to reply, but when she did, she told him, “Everywhere.”

“I wish you could see how wet your pussy is, Chris. You got my dick wet as hell.”

She buried her face in the comforter again as her toes curled. Clenching her fists, Christian bit back a moan as her body began to heat.

“I’m about to cum,” she warned, looking back at him.

“You cum when I tell you to cum.”

  “Nash, please!”

Leaning forward, Nash wrapped his hand around her neck and pressed her back into the bed. He waited until uncontrollable moans began to pour from her to say, “Cum,” and as soon as he did, she released.

Pressing her shaking body into his, Christian whimpered, “God you have some good dick. Give me all of it.”

His hand wrapped around the front of her neck, pinning her back to his chest as he continued to stroke her through her orgasm. Kissing the side of her face, Nash teased her about how quickly she went from wanting to run from the dick to begging for it before he shot his seeds inside of her.

Falling into the bed, Christian pushed her hair out of her face as she regulated her breathing. Nash laid on top of her, placing a sweet kiss to her nose. She smiled before kissing his lips.

“Can’t believe you kept this from me for years,” she complained, getting a quiet chuckle out of him.

“I’ll make up for it for the rest of our lives.”

There was no part of her that didn’t believe him. No part of her that didn’t believe Nash Owens would one day be her husband. Just the thought of that had her mind returning to Tyrell. She couldn’t believe how she was willing to settle for him just to avoid Nash. Avoid true love. Avoid hurt that wasn’t even promised to her.

Christian didn’t want her mind to take her there, but after the emotion riddled day she’d had so far, she couldn’t help it. A choked chuckle came out of her mouth as she closed her eyes.

“I almost married him, Nash. The hell was I thinking?”

Nash pushed her hair off her neck and placed a kiss there. “You didn’t, though. That’s all that matters.”

“No, it’s not.” Turning underneath him, she paused until they were face to face. “I almost lost you.” Her head shook as he cupped her cheek. “Even for that short period of time I was miserable without you. I can’t believe I did that to you.”

“That’s not a weight you need to carry. I had years to make you mine but I didn’t. That’s on me. But that shit don’t matter now, Christian. You’re where you need to be and I’m going to make sure you never have to question that.”

“You’re too good for me,” she grumbled, unsure of what she even offered Nash to make him love her so much.

Sure… they were friends… and she knew why she loved him… but she couldn’t say for sure why he loved her. It wasn’t because their relationship was one sided and he was always giving more than he received from her… but he’d always been so patient and gentle with her as she navigated her way through failed relationship after failed relationship and this thing called love.

Not to mention the fact that she straight up rejected him the day she told him about her engagement. Yet here he was, not only her man, but loving her and cherishing her as if she’d never done him wrong.

“Now you know that’s not true. If anything, you’re too good for me.”

Blushing she shook her head and closed her eyes. “Don’t try to gas me.”

“I’m for real.” Nash kissed her quickly before telling her to look him in the eyes. “Why would you say some shit like that?”

Christian shrugged and looked away. “I hate how vulnerable I feel after we have sex.”

“That’s what it’s supposed to do. That mean we doing this shit right.” Smiling, she returned her eyes to his. “That means we’re bonding to each other and getting to know each other more in every way possible.”

  “Yada.”

With a smile, he repeated, “Yada.”

During their last devotional date, they learned that Yada was the Hebrew word used in Genesis 4:1 in reference to Adam knowing Eve and getting her pregnant. It didn’t just mean they had sex – it meant they got to know each other intimately. It meant to perceive and see. To find something out and understand something. Ever since then, their random conversations after sex made sense to them both. Though Christian had never felt that type of connection and intimacy with any other man, it felt right even though it was scary with Nash.

“I just want to feel like I offer you as much as you offer me. Like I deserve you. What do I do for you?”

“First, you offer me you. You’re smart, ambitious, loyal, enterprising, fun loving, in tune with your emotions, beautiful and sexy as hell, independent yet submissive, and that pussy is to die for.”

He paused as she blushed again and shook her head. “You give me peace, you increase my happiness, you make me feel wanted, cherished, cared for, and like I matter to someone outside of my family that’s not obligated to give a fuck about me. You make me feel safe with you. Like I can be myself with you. At my highest and lowest. You’re fun and we always have a good time together. You keep me focused, we get enlightened together, and you keep me fed physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

“I feel like I’m a better man because of your influence. You’ve given me a desire for something beyond money. You respect me, you’re truly my life companion and best friend. And the fact that you question if you offer me anything confirms how genuine it is because you do it without even realizing it. I love the fuck outta you, girl.”

“You were so romantic and normal until the end.”

They shared a laugh as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “Whachu mean? That was the most romantic part.”

Smiling softly, Christian nodded in agreement. “You’re absolutely right. And I love the fuck outta you too.” Wrapping her legs around him, she reached between them and stroked his semi hard dick. “Can you come back inside?”

“What about them?” he checked, biting down on her lip as she moaned from his entrance inside of her.

“I don’t even care anymore. All I care about in this moment is my dire need for more of you.”

Fighting to look in his eyes, Christian’s back arched and lips trembled as she inhaled a shaky breath. She cupped his cheeks as she whispered, “Oh my God, Nash.”

His hands went into her hair and he pulled gently as he stroked her tenderly. He lowered himself to her lips, eating every moan she had to offer. She waited for his shit talking to commence but it never came. All he released were quiet moans and groans of his own as he slow stroked her until a puddle of her nectar formed on the bed.

Flipping her over, Nash allowed Christian to take control. There was somet
hing insanely gratifying about watching him submit to her will. From his body jerking to his moans to his closed eyes… she enjoyed the power she received from his surrender. Keeping his same slow speed, Christian continued to ride him until they came together. And when they did, she kept him inside of her as she laid on him.

Showing no concern to the fact that they were at his parents’ house for dinner, they fell asleep in each other’s arms in their own little bubble of peace and bliss.

It felt cliché as hell, but as soon as Leigh’s basket ran into his and her eyes connected with Ransom’s she smiled. Neither of them were paying attention to where they were going, and their cart collision was proof. While she found it humorous, Ransom’s eyes widened and mouth dropped as he rushed over to her.

“Are you and the baby okay?” His hand went to her stomach, and as much as she didn’t want to admit it, her heart skipped a beat. It felt so fucking good to not just have him touch her, but for his hand to be there of all places. This was the first time he’d touched her stomach, and their baby must have gotten a nice show out of the butterflies that began to float around.

She considered pushing his hand away before she got too riled up, but since Leigh didn’t know when or if she’d ever feel his touch again, she wanted to savor it for as long as she possibly could.

“We’re fine. It didn’t hit me.”

Relief washed over his face immediately as his shoulders relaxed. “What I tell you about having your head in your phone while you push the basket? You really need to watch that shit now.”

Rolling her eyes, Leigh pushed him out of the way and leaned against her basket. “What you doing out this way? There’s like fifty other grocery stores by your place.”

“None of those stores have the café this one has.”

That was true. Vanzette’s Grocery was like no other grocery store in Memphis. Leigh used to come at least three times out of the week when she lived downtown. Now, she came once a week if she could. The left side of the store had groceries, the middle was a coffee bar, and the right side was a café. As healthy as she tried to eat around Ransom, she’d had her heart set on a sloppy, greasy, double bacon cheeseburger with fries and a milkshake. If she got that in front of him, Leigh knew he’d give her a hard time about it.
