All For Show: A Fake Boyfriend Gay Romance

“For an ad-man, you really don’t know how to sell an idea,” I said.
“Yeah, I guess I don’t really get the idea of a wedding, in this day and age. I mean, what are we, seventy-five?”
“Wait, are you telling me you don’t want to get married at all? You just want to live in sin the rest of our lives?”
He scooped the vegetables into a bowl and walked them over to the wok that was sitting on the range. “Oh, wait, before I do this, something came for you today.”
I watched him go to the desk near the door, and pick up a manila envelope. “What’s that?” I asked.
“I don’t know. Looks important.”
I scrunched my brow at him, and opened the envelope. “What...?” Inside were two first-class tickets to the Sao Marcos Resort, with pamphlets full of pictures of a crystal-clear ocean and white sand, smiling couples walking along the shore, and lots of sun. I looked up at him. “We’re going on vacation?”
He nudged one of the pamphlets toward me. Hosting Your Wedding in Sao Marcos was the title.
“Oh, you are kidding me,” I said.
“I promise, it won’t be romantic at all.”
“But wait, these tickets are for next month! Owen! There’s so much planning to do if we’re going to get married there! So much coordination!”
“Yeah, at first I was like, maybe there’s a TV show that could handle all the planning for us, but then I figured, hell, if we can fool the whole nation into thinking we’re in love, surely we can handle putting together a little wedding on a tropical resort!”
My mind was a whirl. There was so much to do. So many people to tell. “Oh, god, I have to tell my folks,” I said. “And what about catering, and tuxes, and who are we going to invite, and will they be flying too, and the hotel, and--”
“Wait, are you sad about this?”
“Are you kidding? It’s the most exciting thing that’s ever happened to me!”
That made him smile. “When we first met, I never could’ve imagined you excited over putting together a social event.”
“People do grow, you know.”
“I know they do. But listen, big planner, we can think about all the logistics later. Tonight, let’s finish making dinner, then enjoy some time with our friends, and our newfound national celebrity.”
My arms were around him, tight. Fortunately, enough time had passed that that rib had calmed down, but that cut on his cheek had resulted in the most interesting scar. It made him look dashing and dangerous. “Fine. But later tonight, I’m going to thank you for this trip. I’m going to thank you till it hurts.”
His lips brushed my ear. “Is that a real threat? Or a fake one?”
“Oh, it’s real. You better believe me.”

THE LAST LIGHT OF DAY
Their love was forbidden by both their families...
Cornell James has come to Marchain House, home of an ancient and reclusive aristocratic southern family, to write the history of the house and estate. Exiled from his own home by parents who cannot accept his orientation, he is thrust into the twisted intrigues of the Marchains. There he meets Hayes, whose hauteur and dark beauty make him so different from the boys back home. Too bad that Hayes clearly despises Cornell, never giving him a second glance.
Trapped by obligation, desperate for a way free...
Hayes has spent his entire life protecting his family from scandal and ruin. Locked into a mutually loveless engagement to preserve the family fortune, he must be married within the year or watch the estate pass out of his hands. He longs for someone he can be honest with, someone he can trust. Cornell may be that man, but how can Hayes trust someone from so far away, someone who doesn't understand the dangers Marchain House faces? He tries to fight the passion he feels for Cornell, but it is a losing battle. After a stormy night of love, he has to make a decision: Will he continue to serve his family, giving up all hope of fulfillment...or will he take a chance with Cornell, and risk everything he has worked so hard for?
Dark forces will pull them apart...
The Marchains have enemies who will do anything to steal away their legacy and wealth. Cornell is the only one who can save Hayes from being locked forever in this battle for the family's fortune, but how can he ask Hayes to walk away from everything he cares about? But he can't let Hayes marry someone he doesn't love, just to protect the house. Somewhere lost in the deep, ancient secrets of the house, there is an answer that can save them and allow them to love...but can he find it in time?
The MARLOWE MEN Trilogy!
Join the Marlowes, strong-willed men obsessed with getting justice and protection for the men they love, in their suspenseful, romantic adventures!
Book One: Unprotected Hearts
Nothing can protect me from the way I feel...
Jace moved to the mountains to get away. He never wanted to be a bodyguard again, never wanted to risk losing another person. But when he was asked to protect Trent Sinclair, a witness to an awful crime, he had no choice but to accept. Now Trent is with him in his isolated mountain cabin, with no one around for miles.
What neither of them realized was that as danger pushed them together, they would find themselves growing closer. At first it was just physical, the way their bodies reacted to having another man nearby. But as the danger deepened, so did their emotions, until they had to admit what they felt for one another.
But there are forces that will do anything to keep Trent from testifying to what he witnessed, even if that means ripping the two of them apart. Now Jace will have to delve into his painful past--into the secrets of the only client he ever lost--to discover what it takes to rescue Trent and keep him safe.
Book Two: Damaged Gods
Every lawyer knows you shouldn’t fall for your clients...especially those charged with murder.
Attorney Harlan Marlowe’s life is so empty, he’s sleeping on the couch in his office instead of at home. But when he takes on the damaged but beautiful Evan Steele as a client, he finds himself as interested in Evan as he is in the case -- even when he hears Evan’s improbable story about being framed by an exploitative, fanatical cult with deep and powerful roots in the city.
Evan is too broken to deserve love. He'd settle for just having someone believe him. He feels a spark of hope when Harlan becomes obsessed with his case...but he knows better than to think that obsession could turn into something more. With the cult hellbent on destroying Evan, he and Harlan need to race against time to clear Evan's name before he's sentenced to a life behind bars.
Harlan knows it's wrong to desire Evan, but he can't help it; something is growing between them, something he has never felt before. Will their growing feelings give him the strength to take on Evan's enemies...or will it give the cult just the weapon it needs to destroy them both?
Book Three: Work of Art
Private eye Derek Marlowe wishes he'd never agreed to hunt down this stolen painting for a wealthy client. He can't tell a Van Gogh from a Picasso. Fortunately, he finds art historian (and sometimes nude model) Theo Stanton, who's the expert he needs. Unfortunately, from the second they meet, Derek finds himself hopelessly attracted to the younger man.
Theo is frightened. The truth is, he's the thief who stole the painting, and he has plans to steal another. The last thing he needs now is to get close to the detective who is hunting him down. And yet he can't get Derek out of his mind. As they work together, he realizes how much of an emotional connection is growing between them...a connection that could be destroyed if Derek ever found out the truth.
Derek knows he shouldn't say anything about his fe
elings. He knows Theo is too cultured, too hot, and too young for him. But if he doesn't take the chance and tell Theo how he feels, he might never get another chance.
Torn by trust issues in their pasts, can Derek and Theo's budding relationship survive the deep secret that lurks between them?
The FRANKLIN DRAGONS Series!
Dragon shifters fight for their rights--and for the love of their men--against a world that cannot accept their magic.
Book One: Red Dragon’s Mate
Kit just got busted. His family found the dragon-shifter dating app on his phone, and now they're insisting that he get counseling, saying his attraction is unnatural. But when a dragon saves him from a near-fatal accident, and he finds himself wrapped in the shifter's arms, he realizes there is no other place he would rather be.
Red Henry is the life of the party in the local dragon community, with a long string of omegas vying for his attention. But something's wrong. His endless nights of partying, and squandering his hoard on material possessions, is covering up a deeper need...a need he can't admit to himself until the day he saves Kit.
It should have been perfect. But when Kit discovers he is carrying Red Henry's child, his entire world is turned upside down. Bewildered and confused, he obeys his family's insistence to attend a shifter-addiction support group. But when he discovers the group has a darker, more covert agenda--sparking a war between humans and dragons--can he protect himself and his unborn dragon-baby from their vile plotting, or will he need the help of Red Henry, the one dragon he never thought he could face again?
Book Two: Iron Dragon’s Thief
Who could come between a dragon and his hoard?
When dragon shifter Tyson discovers that millions of dollars have been stolen from him, he needs the best investigators he can find. He's the controversial developer behind the biggest skyscraper in the city, and the theft threatens his building and his entire future.
Jason is a petty thief. Or at least he used to be, before he became an investigator for Securitas Vipera, a security firm specializing in shifter clients. But the pressure is too much, and he cracked under his last three cases. Solving the theft of Tyson's hoard is Jason's last chance to prove himself.
There's just one problem: They hate each other.
Tyson expects an old-fashioned investigation--detectives and interrogations. He's appalled at the way Jason skirts the law, hacking into the bank where Tyson's money was stolen. And if Jason has to hear one more criticism coming from the stuck-up dragon, he's going to go crazy!
But when they argue one night on the roof of Tyson's skyscraper, each reveals more than he meant to, and they begin to see a deep connection. What happens next is unexpected...and unprotected.
That's when things get complicated...and dangerous.
Jason's life is turned upside-down by the news he is carrying the dragon's child. And all the while, the forces that have targeted Tyson and his hoard continue to close in. But now they've discovered Jason too, and he and his unborn baby are in danger. Unseen enemies threaten to tear his relationship apart, planting seeds of distrust and suspicion in this new love.
Will Jason, his body changing from the pregnancy, be able to discover who stole Tyson's hoard? Can Tyson overcome his deep distrust of humanity and admit his love for Jason? And can this love draw them back together when everything around them threatens to pull them apart?
Book Three: Gold Dragon’s Spark
A dragon with a troubled past
Dragon shifter Ric wants to make amends. After a foolish stunt in his past left an innocent bystander badly hurt, Ric spent every penny he had taking care of the injured man. But it's not enough, and the guilt weighs heavily on him. When his father offers him a fortune to provide an heir for the family, it should be the perfect plan...except Ric isn't interested in relationships. He just wants a way to pay for his mistakes.
An omega trying to do what's right
Bradley is trying to escape his past. The young omega used to be a member of a violent anti-dragon cult, but he has broken free, and all he wants is to put his life back together. But his family is broke, and about to lose their home. And now a dark figure from his past has returned to pull him back into the fight against shifters.
At first the future looks bright...
When Ric and Bradley meet, they realize they can help each other. A fake, temporary marriage will get Ric back in his family's good graces, and he'll have the money he needs to help the victim of his accident. And Bradley will be able to save his home, as well as get protection from the cult.
...But the past always catches up
But what was meant as a fake relationship turns real, as the dragon and omega begin to open up about the guilt they carry from their pasts. Neither wants to admit it, but this may be the deepest connection either has ever felt. And when Bradley realizes that a night of unprotected love may have left him pregnant, he feels even more bonded to the alpha. As close as they feel, though, there are secrets neither has shared. And now someone is revealing those secrets, one by one, to tear them apart. Will they give in to suspicion and guilt? Will they let all their history come between them? Can the power of forgiveness, understanding and love overcome the evil scheming of the people who would see them separated?
