Gary didn’t say a word to her, but looked pointedly toward the floor at his feet. Ida took the hint and rushed over to kneel before him, disregarding the state of her stockings. “I’m sorry, Master. I’ll never defy your will again.” Ida threw her arms around his legs.

Gary grabbed her arms to pull her away. “Did you think I would let you get away with it, slave?” he demanded, snorting when he saw the tears well up in her eyes.

“No, no, I knew you would punish me.”

“You’re such a fool, slave. I need to exert my control over the girl; your little show cost us valuable time. Now I have to set about starting all over again. If I’d fucked her before she met with Ben, she might be in a different frame of mind.”

“Don’t you think she might be scared of you now, instead?” Ida Mae suggested faintly.

Gary slapped Ida’s face with an open palm for her question. Ida landed against the desk with a moan, holding a hand to her stinging cheek.

“Shut up, you bitch! As if you really know anything about it. Look at the way you handled getting her here in the first place. Promising the little bastard ten thousand dollars. The fuck you promised him was just fine; we could use another third. But the money. We’ll have to see if you are good enough to use your body to make the boy forget the promise of money.”

Ida Mae leaned forward again to eagerly assure him. “I can do it. I know I can.”

“We’ll see. Now stand up, slave. Tell me what you did to get the boy to help you,” Gary demanded.

Ida Mae stood, knowing just how to get back on Gary’s good side after hearing his request. “Well, first I had him take me somewhere private.”

Gary leaned against the edge of the desk and crossed his arms across his chest. The look in his eyes told Ida she’d better make the telling good.

Ida Mae smiled as she continued her story. “Let me show you instead.” Ida leaned against the desk next to him. She let her hand nearest his thigh slide over to caress him. “I asked him several questions about her, if he’d fucked her.” Ida noticed Gary’s rod stir beneath his zipper.

  “And?”

“He told me he had fucked her.” Ida watched Gary’s response with a mixture of excitement and anger. Since it wasn’t really her causing his response but the thought of a man fucking her daughter.

“Then I asked him what payment would induce him to help us. As I asked him, I did this.” Ida then rubbed her hand over to Gary’s dick. She carefully stroked his shaft. He was at full hardness. He pulsed as she continued her petting and her story. “Besides the money, he said he would agree if I would give him some personal attention. So I did.”

Ida Mae turned toward him to slip her hands up to his waistband, unbuttoning and unzipping his pants. Gary’s eyes were hot when Ida Mae pulled his briefs down along with his pants. She stood before him, holding his gaze with hers. She knelt down, moving closer to his rod, pointing straight toward her. When he saw her open her mouth and let her studded tongue lick the tip of his penis, Gary’s rod pulsed in her hand.

She licked and sucked his cock until he threw his head back and closed his eyes, obviously enjoying the sensations she was creating on his flesh.

When he appeared senseless, Ida rose upward. Gary looked toward her again and he watched as Ida unbuttoned and slid out of her jacket, then doing the same with her blouse. He must have noticed the dried semen still on her breasts, because he made a gurgling sound in his throat. He was turned on now, more than she’d seen him in a long time. She grabbed his hands to bring them forward to push against her ring pierced nipples.

“As he pinched and pulled at my nipples I continued to pump him.” And her actions mimicked her words. And so did his. He jerked and pulled at her nipples and breasts, while she pumped him harder. His hips jerked forward as he was reaching his limit. She felt him coming. “Then I did this.” She slapped his hands away from her breasts as she had young Daniel, so she could feel the hot spurting of his seed against her tits.

“Ah, shit!” he cried out as he jerked in release.

When he’d finished, Ida Mae used both her hands to rub the hot liquid over her jugs and nips.

“I can see how you convinced him,” Gary said. That was the closest Ida Mae could expect as praise from Gary.

Ida gazed down at Gary’s semi erect penis with yearning. She wished she had gotten off too. Her sexual frustration was causing her anguish. With resignation, she began to pull her blouse over her cum soaked breasts.

Gary’s hand prevented her action. “No, don’t. Come here.”

Ida jumped to do his bidding. Gary pushed her forward, positioning her with her elbows on the desk and her backside facing him. Ida gasped as he grabbed her thighs to pry them apart and let his hands slide up under her short skirt, until he reached the top of her stockings, so he could yank them and her panties down. As he hiked her skirt up to leave her ass exposed to his view, Ida Mae swallowed, jumping and moaning when his palm cracked across her ass cheeks. He continued her spanking until her moans and groans grew frantic, her body writhing and thrashing in glorious agony. Knowing by the stinging heat suffusing her highly sensitive skin, her butt would be glowing red when he finished with her.

By the time she felt Gary pushing his pole into her wet cunt, he was fully hard again. He slid into her slowly and then pulled out again to rub and slap her slick clit ring with the engorged tip of his dick. As she pushed back against him, he slipped his stiff dick into her sopping cleft. Jerking forward, he sent Ida crashing back against the hard desk. Fucking her in earnest, he reached forward with both his hands to grab her tits, pulling back hard, using them to jerk her back onto him, until he was pumping into her with the force of a jackhammer. Ida Mae groaned aloud, whipping her head back at the exquisite pain caused by his brutality. All it took was two more savage jerks to have her pussy clenching around his rod, which sent Gary right over the edge with a low roar.

Ida Mae knew not to expect any tenderness or loving words from Gary. He got what he wanted and he was done with her for the time being. Pulling out quickly, he left her in her undignified position as he pulled up his briefs and pants. As he walked around and sat at the desk, he looked at her with disgust when he said, “Go away, Ida, I’ve got work to do.”

The phone rang next to her, she looked at Gary, but he said, “Pick it up.” So with her skirt still up over her hips and her panties and stockings around her ankles, Ida Mae grabbed the phone receiver.

  “Yes, what is it?”

“Ida Mae?” the male voice asked.

“Yes?” she couldn’t keep the irritation out of her tone.

  “It’s me. Daniel.”

Ida Mae raised herself back up onto her elbows. She could feel Gary’s eyes on her. “Oh, yes, Daniel.” When she looked up at Gary, she saw the heat smoldering in his gaze again. Just the mention of the name stirred him. “What can I do for you?”

“Well, actually it’s what I can do for you.”

“What would you like to do for me?” she asked Daniel, but looked at Gary to see if she could get a rise out of him. She saw him lick his lips in anticipation of her next words.

“Well, besides the obvious, I just called to tell you to expect a visitor.”

“A visitor?” she inquired, “You, maybe?” Gary’s hands shot forward to grab her bare breasts. He began pulling on them savagely.

“I wish,” he stated, then asked when he heard her moan into the phone, “Are you okay?”

  “Huh? What...was...that?”

“I just got beat up by some rough looking guy. Muscular, short black hair, strange silver-looking eyes. Know him?”

“What?” That got her attention. She pulled her nipples out of Gary’s grasp with a jerk. She gasped loudly, but then stood up. “Someone beat you up?”

“Yeah, the bastard had a fist as hard as a brick. And he’s coming your way.”

Gary was staring at her in question.

  “Our way?”

  “Yeah, he’s lookin
g for Lizabeth. And the fight resulted in me trying to avoid answering his question.”

“Uh, yeah, thanks for the warning,” was all Ida said before hanging up the phone.

“What’s going on?” Gary asked, as he watched Ida Mae pull up her underwear and stockings and brush down her skirt, trying to repair her messy appearance.

“Someone’s looking for Lizabeth and they beat the truth out of Daniel.”

  “Shit! Go tell Ben.”

“I am. I will,’ she said as she turned away without another look at Gary.

  Chapter 12

Lizabeth still sat in the chair in the living room of the Dugas Farm, stunned silent.

“I’m leaving everything to you, Lizabeth,” Ben Dugas had told her.

  “What?”

“When I die, you are going to get everything I own,” Ben insisted.

“What are you saying?” Ida Mae cried from the door.

Lizabeth’s gaze swung round to see her mother’s horrified expression. Her clothes were rumpled, as if she’d pulled on previously discarded articles. First, her face paled and she looked like she wanted to pass out, then hot, angry color rushed up her neck. When Lizabeth turned to look at Ben to see if he meant to answer her mother’s question, he just looked at Ida Mae.

“Ida Mae, I don’t believe I invited you into this conversation,” Ben’s tone was harsh.

“But what about me!” Ida Mae demanded.

“You’ll get whatever your daughter allows you,” Ben informed her.

“But...I don’t understand.” Lizabeth finally found her voice.

Ben turned to look at Lizabeth now. “I’ve willed everything to you, Lizabeth. If you decide to give your mother a monthly allowance, then you can. If you don’t, she’ll be destitute.”

Ida moved farther into the room. “Why are you giving her control over me?” Her angry tone had turned cajoling.

“I knew if I did it the other way around, my daughter would never see a penny of my money. As she’s been raised away from your influence, I hoped she would see her way to be more generous than you and Gary would be toward her.”

“Oh God, Gary! How are you going to explain this to him?” Ida Mae asked, and Lizabeth could hear the fearful tremor in her voice.

“Why should I explain anything to Gary? I never told him I would leave anything to him,” Ben told her.

“I’m not telling him. He’ll kill me!”

Lizabeth felt her eyes flare wide at her mother’s words. Was the man capable of murder?

Oh, God! Would he kill her too, if he thought she was a threat to his livelihood? This situation was getting out of control!

Ben Dugas’s hands clenched the arms of his chair at her mother’s warning. Did the man also have some diabolical control over her father, too?

When her father remained silent, Ida Mae seemed to remember what had brought her into the room in the first place, “We’re going to have a visitor.”

  “A visitor?” Ben asked.

“I just got a call from Daniel Morrow. It seems some tough guy just beat the shit out of him to get Daniel to tell him where Lizabeth was.”

Tough guy? Had Jonas found out about all this? Then her heart leapt into her throat. Jubal! Could it be Jubal who’d beat up Daniel to get him to tell her whereabouts?

  “Who?” Lizabeth asked.

“He didn’t give me a name. He just said he was muscular, with short black hair and eyes that looked kinda silver.”

  It was Jubal!

Ben turned his gaze toward Lizabeth. “Someone you know?”

Lizabeth didn’t know how much to give away. “Sort of.”

“Have Gary warn him off,” Ben told Ida Mae.

  “No!” Lizabeth yelled.

Ben looked at Lizabeth again. “Is this someone I should meet, Lizabeth?”

What could she say? Yes, you should meet him. He’s the man I mean to marry. What would her newfound father say to that statement?

Lizabeth looked down at her hands. “Yes.”

“Very well, Ida Mae, don’t tell Gary. I’ll meet the young man.”

Ida Mae turned without saying another word to either Lizabeth or Ben.

“She hates me, doesn’t she?” Lizabeth asked Ben Dugas as they watched Ida leave the room with a brisk, angry stride.

Ben gave a weary sigh. “Not any more than she does me, right now,” he admitted, and his voice held a hint of sadness.

What kind of relationship did her biological mother and father have? They’d been married for years, hadn’t they? Or had they? Had the old man married her mother right after her divorce from Jonas was final? These were all questions she wanted to ask, but wasn’t comfortable asking now. She didn’t know who or what to believe anymore. Ben Dugas had knocked the two people she trusted most in the world off the pedestal Lizabeth had lifted them to. Knowing Jubal was on his way gave her hope that he could help her sort through the jumble her life had become.

Only moments later, Lizabeth heard the rumble of Jubal’s Harley come up the drive. She jumped to her feet.

“Your young man, I suppose?” Ben asked her.

  “Yes,” Lizabeth said breathlessly.

  “Connie will show him in.”

“Monsieur Dugas,” the housekeeper, Connie, announced, a few moments later, after she received Ben’s answer to her knock, “c’est un homme pour la jeune fille.”

  “Let him in, Connie.”

Lizabeth’s heart pounded when she saw Jubal walk into the room. Her gaze raked his face and body searching for damage to him. He looked at her as if doing the same thing.

“Hello, young man, I understand you’re here to see my daughter,” Ben started.

“Daughter?” Jubal looked between Lizabeth and Ben Dugas, then back to Lizabeth.

“Ummm, yes, Jubal, this is Ben Dugas, the man I told you about.”

Ben looked at her, his eyes misty. “You told him about me?”

“Yes, Ida Mae told me about you when I was sixteen.”

  “She did?” Ben asked.

  “Yes,” she returned simply.

Even though there were other unanswered questions in his eyes, Lizabeth wasn’t ready to go into it now. “Please, Jubal, have a seat.” She motioned him to join them.

Lizabeth could tell Jubal was at a loss. He looked at Ben, trying to fathom whether he could speak or not.

“If you’re here to talk my daughter into going back to the Horville house tonight, you’ve wasted a trip.”

Lizabeth knew Jubal heard what Ben Dugas said by the look he threw to her. A heat filled his eyes. But when he did speak, he directed it to Ben, “I think it’s only right that you let her call her parents to let them know she’s safe.”

Lizabeth looked down at her hands. She knew they would be worried about her, but her anger and resentment was still fresh in her mind. How could they have kept this secret all these years? Why had they forbidden her father to try to see her? It just seemed so out character for the kind of people she always thought they were. Maybe that was part of the reason she was so angry. She’d idolized Jonas and Nikki all her life. She didn’t know if she could speak to either of them at the moment.

When neither Lizabeth nor Ben answered him, Jubal looked at her. “If you don’t mind, Mr. Dugas, I’d like to have a word with Lizabeth—alone.”

Ben looked like he meant to refuse, but Lizabeth said, “Fine, Jubal, but I’m not ready to talk to Jonas and Nikki yet.”

Her father gave a happy smile when he heard her call the people who’d been her parents all these years by their first name. “I don’t guess it could do any harm. But don’t let him convince you to leave, Lizabeth. We still have a lot to discuss.”

Both Jubal and Lizabeth remained quiet until her father moved stiffly toward the door leading to the hall.

As soon as the door closed behind him, Jubal turned to Lizabeth. “What’s going on, Lizabeth?”

Lizabeth stood and walked over to Jubal. She would stand her ground. She
couldn’t let Jubal convince her to leave yet. “Everything is a mess.”

When she reached him, he stood also. “Why didn’t you tell Lauren you were here? Your mom and dad are worried sick.”

She swallowed over the lump in her throat. “They both know where I am?”

“Now they do, I called them the minute I found out where you were. You’ll be lucky he doesn’t storm this place down.”

“I told Lauren I was staying the week with a friend.”

“Well, that just wasn’t enough information for Jonas and Nikki’s comfort. Why did you do it this way?”

“I’m here to get to know my real father, even though I wasn’t happy with the way my mother arranged it.”

Jubal grabbed her by her shoulders, probably resisting the urge to shake her, instead flexing his hands. “What do you mean?”

“She had Daniel, the guy you beat up, blackmail me into coming here.”

“Blackmail!” Jubal barked out, and then lowered his tone, but it was no less menacing when he continued, “What, exactly did he use to blackmail you?”

Lizabeth slipped from his grip and moved over to the leather sofa, trying to avoid his direct gaze. “Well...I...ya...”

“Spill it, Lizabeth, if he has some control over you, I want to know about it—now.”

She sat on the sofa, watching him as he joined her there.

When she remained silent, he turned to face her, letting his arm slide on the back of the sofa. “Well?”

  “You’re gonna hate me.”

Jubal’s eyes narrowed as he looked at her. “Tell me.”

“Daddy forbid me from seeing Daniel last weekend. But I met with him anyway. I’d asked Daniel to keep our meeting a secret, because my parents wouldn’t be happy about it.”

  “You met him, Lizabeth?”

“All right, I slept with him. Is that what you wanted to hear?” Lizabeth lashed out.

“If things are ever going to go anywhere for us, Lizabeth, we need to be honest with each other,” Jubal returned, his tone flat.
