My Beating Hart_A Vampire Rockstar Reverse Harem Romance Page 4

I am so close, my body is vibrating, and I can see my body start to glow. Caspian starts to go harder, faster, and my breathing is coming in so fast. I feel myself levitating from the table with them.

Caspian’s hand glides down to my clit and all it takes is a touch and I am screaming, a burst of light leaving me. Caspian roars his release, and we slowly float back down. I press my hand to my chest, feeling my rapid heart.

“We were in the air.” Zeke looks at the ceiling, licking my blood from his lips.

“I get something new to happen to me each day. I should really start to write a manual for the next person who gets this power,” I joke but when I look at Caspian, he stands, pulling up his jeans. “You know I was joking.” I know it’s a sore subject when it comes to me and me not being here anymore.

“I know, but I hate thinking of you not being here with us forever.” He looks at the ground.

I get up and walk over to him, entwining our fingers together. “I am going to be with you for as long as the world allows me. Be it fifty years or a thousand years.”

“I vote for the thousand,” Zeke says behind me, placing his chin on my shoulder. I reach up hugging his head to mine.

“I vote for that too,” I sigh. We stay like that for a moment before I remember Kayleigh. “I’m going to wash up then I’m going to visit Kayleigh. See what her gift is and see if she opens up a little.” We head up the stairs until we are in the grand foyer. Zeke and Caspian kiss the top of my head telling me they just need to say hi to someone. I watch them walk over to a couple of guys talking to them.

Remembering that Fae in the nightclub that was a safe haven. I wanted that for us. I wanted a place that isn’t just for us but for those who need a place to go, somewhere they feel safe.

Our home was a hotel; when we were on tour, the guys were busy with their music and it gave me time to think about everything. I remember when I spoke about my idea to them, and a week later they surprised me with a hotel they’d bought.

  ###

“You can’t buy a hotel. I was just talking about ideas, something we would eventually get.” I sit on the couch.

Slate kneels, taking hold of my hands. “I know, but it’s an amazing idea, just think of the good that hotel will do; people won’t have to go on the run or hide. We will be keeping people safe. Besides, the hotel needs a lot of work so that’s where we thought you could come in.” I look at him in confusion.

“You want me to help build and paint?” I half joke.

Slate kneels and sits next to me. “We thought maybe with your new magic, you could fix up the place. I have already pulled some strings, and we are getting the place magically protected so no one can do harm when inside.”

“You know I don’t know what magic I can and can’t do. What if I accidentally burn the place down?”

“You are the source of all magic. I bet with a click of your fingers, the place will look like a five-star hotel,” Zeke says from behind me.

“When do we head there?” I ask them.

“Once you click your fingers and take us,” Rush says, coming closer to me from behind and rubbing my shoulders.

I sigh, standing up. “Great, I’ve turned into a magical taxi,” I say sarcastically.

“A very cute taxi.” Zeke winks at me and I stick my tongue out at him.

“Petal, what have I said about that tongue.” Rush looks at me.

“You are a bunch of horn-balls.”

“Like you can talk,” Rush answers. I don’t reply to him.

“Okay, everyone hold hands and think of the place you want us to go…” I don’t have time to say anything else as I feel a whoosh and when I open my eyes, I am standing in the middle of an abandoned hotel that looks like it’s ready to fall down on us. “I bet you got this for a bargain.” I look around; hell, it’s a little scary looking.

“It’s a good location. It’s not a bad area and there are restaurants and bars a ten-minute walk away,” Zeke says, walking around broken furniture.

“This is going to take a lot of magic; I don’t know if I can do it.” I doubt myself.

“If you can’t, we will do a floor at a time, a room at a time if need be. We know you can do it.” Slate takes hold of my shoulders, looking into my eyes.

“Okay.” I breathe. I step back, closing my eyes, raising my arms in the air, and I imagine this place all done up, the immaculate floors, the spacious rooms, children running around laughing, growing up feeling safe. I feel this light vibration inside of me, and when I open my eyes, nothing has happened; the place looks exactly the same. “It didn’t work.” Deep down I thought it would.

“It’s okay. Remember, this is still new to you. Clear your head, only see this hotel, see what future this place will hold,” Slate encourages me.

I close my eyes again and picture the hotel full of people. All different supernatural beings. Children teaching each other. Friends being made, romances blossoming. A place the guys will remember me if anything ever happened to me.

A single tear falls down my cheek; this electric current runs through me, vibration surging all around me. I open my eyes, and I am floating in the air, light shooting out of me, shooting through the whole hotel.

I watch as the walls fix themselves, the floors turning immaculate. I watch in awe as the room we are in becomes spotless, chandeliers being placed, and then out of nowhere, furniture is appearing, being placed.

When I think it’s almost done, I am moving. I can’t control it; I am floating toward the middle of the room and lifted higher. I look at the guys, and I can see the concern written all over their faces.

I feel something bubbling inside of me, then I hear the whispers. I have to concentrate to understand them but they say to keep them safe and this feeling takes over. My head falls back, and this big light shines out of me. It’s a huge shield moving away from me and then out of sight. Then I am slowly lowered until I land on my feet.

The guys run to me, each of them reaching for me. “What was that?” Rush asks.

“I don’t know. I heard it again though; I heard the whispers.” I look at them, and they step back.

“The ones that told you to turn Rick human?” Slate asks me.

I nod. “They said to keep them safe and then boom this energy pours out of me. I think it’s a shield. I think this was meant to happen. A haven for those in need. I am meant to keep them safe.” I dig my fingers in my hair, pacing. “Fuck, this keeps getting even crazier.” I look at the guys, and all their eyes are on me.

I look down and I see I have turned back to my magical self, but I am kind of naked. Well, no wonder all their eyes have gone black. I pose, smirking at them. “Take a picture, it will last longer,” I giggle.

I close my eyes and then quickly open them. I look down to see I’m back to me. I smile to myself. I like this me.

Looking around the place, I can’t believe I did all this. You wouldn’t know it was basically a dump ten minutes ago.

We walk around, looking in each room, and the guys say the place is bigger. That my magic has created more rooms; it even created what looks like a courtroom in the basement. Also in the basement are cell rooms, which gave me the shivers.

We step outside looking at the building and Slate swears it looks the same on the outside, but on the inside more space has been created. Walking back in, we head to the middle of the foyer.

“We are going to need to hire staff. Keep this place going,” I say.

“Our thoughts exactly,” Caspian says. Now, it’s the joys of interviewing.

  What fun.

  ###

Thinking back to that day, looking at people walking around now, it feels a little surreal. This is going to be our first night here. We have the penthouse, and the place is huge. Well, there are five of us, so I guess the space is needed.

I say a few hellos to the people I walk past and head to the elevator. We opened the hotel just over a week ago, and I’m happy to see the place is
working out so far. When the doors open, I step inside, hitting the top button, and I wait patiently until I arrive at my floor.

Walking into the living area, I call out to see if anyone is here but when I get no reply, I head straight to my room and to the bathroom. Turning on the hot water in the shower, I quickly lift my dress and place it on the floor, then step under the steaming hot water. I sigh with appreciation.

  This feels so good.

The water hitting my skin feels like heaven. I am in my own little world when I feel hands slide around my middle, pulling me into them. I turn my head to see Rush.

“I’ve heard that everyone has had a taste of you apart from me. That seems a little unfair don’t you think?” His stubble rubs along my jaw and he smells my neck.

“Depends if you mean my blood or my pussy. Zeke hasn’t fucked me yet.” I get pushed against the cold tiles, the water descending only on Rush.

“I want both. You know I need my fix of that tight little pussy of yours or I’ll go crazy.” I feel his erection press against my ass. “Starting to think it’s a pattern with you and me and showers.” He quickly turns me around, his eyes piercing into mine.

He slowly falls to his knees, his eyes trained on me. He lifts one of my legs, placing it on his shoulder, my pussy open for him to take. He leans in, taking my clit into his mouth, sucking hard; it already feels so sensitive that it aches a little.

“Rush, it’s too much.” I try and move my hips, but he pins me harder against the wall, his mouth never leaving me. I grip his hair, almost pulling but it’s only spurring him on. I feel like I’m going to fall.

His sucking slows down, and then my eyes pop open when I feel one of his fangs glide along my clit. I look down to see Rush looking up, his black eyes boring into mine.

Holy shit, is he going to bite me there?

  Will it hurt?

I feel a little prick, and I wince a little, but he closes his eyes and starts sucking. I cry out, feeling how intense it is. He’s sucking harder, wanting to please me but also for him to drink from me.

I feel my clit start to tingle, and then it starts pulsing, my orgasm finally hitting me. My body feels like it’s spasming.

Rush pulls me down to his lap, my legs wrapped around him. He guides his cock inside of me.

I start to move, his fingers digging into my hips. Water hitting us both.

I adjust my legs so I’m almost kneeling; it gives me more leverage, and I speed up, his hands landing on my ass, helping move me faster. I can see the strain on Rush’s face. He wants to come, but he wants me to come again.

I can feel my pussy tightening around him; I am close, but my body won’t let me come again. I need to, knowing how close it is. I just need that final push. I speed up, digging my fingers into his shoulders.

“Bite me,” I beg him. “Bite me here.” I press my breast close to his face, and he opens his mouth. I look at his fangs before he bites down; I feel like I have fallen off the cliff. My release soars through me, light shining from me. Rush grunts his release, and we stay like that, him holding me before he finally pulls out and stands, helping me up.

Like the first time when we had sex in a shower, he helps wash me, looking after me.

After ten minutes we both climb out of the shower, and wrapped in big white fluffy towels, I go to my bed lying face first before I turn my smiling face to Rush.

I can honestly say that some of the tension I was feeling has gone. My body feels limp, and I am very tired. My eyes are starting to feel heavy. “I need to go and see Kayleigh,” I groan.

“Take a nap first,” he suggests.

I really do want a nap but it’s unfair to Kayleigh to wait. If she is asleep, I will leave a note, but she’ll know I did come. I know if I see her first, I can then just sleep. “I’m going to see her first; I won’t be able to get a peaceful sleep if I’m worrying about her.” I stand up, walking over to my drawers, and pull out a pair of yoga pants a long baggy gray t-shirt.

“You are a good person.” Rush lies on the bed, his arms crossed behind his head.

“I like to think so.” I put my wet hair up in a messy bun. I walk over to him, leaning down to press a gentle kiss. “Keep the bed warm, won’t be long.” I head toward the door.

“Will send a search party if you’re not back in twenty minutes.”

I shake my head, moving toward the living area to the elevator, heading to Kayleigh’s floor. I walk to her door, knock a few times, and wait. When I think she must be asleep, she opens the door a little and pokes her head out. When she sees it’s me, she opens the door wide.

“Hi, please come in.” She gestures me in. I walk in and see her bed is a little crinkled, so she was asleep.

“I didn’t mean to wake you.”

“No, don’t be silly, just nice to sleep knowing I’ll be fine. I have to rely on my crystals if anyone nearby is going to hurt me.” She waves her hand above her wrist, and the watch morphs into a crystal the size of a palm.

“I remember seeing that in my vision. Where did you find this?” I take hold of the crystal, examining it.

“I made it. I was born with my gift, but my mom was a witch, and she taught me how to create things with easy ingredients.” She takes hold of the crystal again.

  “Was? She no longer here?”

She shakes her head. “It’s just me; she died six years ago, and I never knew my father.”

  “I’m so sorry.”

She shrugs, sitting on her bed, and I follow suit. “It’s ok; I know she will always be in my heart and my memories.”

I think of my parents. I would hate if they ever passed away. In my head, they are going to be around forever. I know it’s not true, but you don’t think of your parent’s death, you see them as immortals, invincible.

  Our own personal heroes.

“You said you have a gift, can I ask what it is?”

She looks at me and back at the ground. “I will need to show you, but you can’t jump to the first conclusion when you see it as there is no way that I am that, okay?”

I nod, but I am really confused. I watch as she stands and takes off her jumper. She looks me in the eyes before looking up, and then out of nowhere, wings form from her back causing me to jump a little.

  I can’t believe what I’m seeing.

  Angel wings.

I stand up, walking toward her. I give her a look asking for permission to touch them and she nods. I slowly stroke along the pearl white feathers.

  It’s so soft.

“Angel wings,” I speak my thoughts.

“But trust me, I’m no angel. The things I have had to do to survive? Trust me when I say I have sinned.”

I walk around her, examining them. “Can you fly?”

“Kind of. I’m still practicing, but it’s hard to do when you’re out there.” I watch as her wings start to disappear, and soon, they are gone. I press my hand on her back where they were, but all I feel is skin.

“You know, when I think nothing can surprise me anymore, something does.” I walk back around her. “Maybe your father was an angel; you could be half angel.” I could be wrong, but it could explain it.

“A half angel-witch. Now, that’s something different.” She laughs, sitting back on her bed. “What are you? I saw you all glowy, seeing your white eyes—that is something I haven’t seen before.”

“Until recently, I thought I was just a shield; it turns out I am something more.”

  “A god?”

I laugh. “I wish,” I laugh some more. “I am apparently the source of all magic.” I try and make it sound like it’s not much of a big deal, but seeing the look in her eyes, I think she knows what I am.

She stands up, looking at me with her mouth hanging open, her eyes wide. “You are the source? My mom used to mention about it. Someone with good of heart will save all the good supernatural beings from the dark power.”

  “Dark power?” I ask, intrigued.

  “My mom used to say
that the dark power has been around as long as the white light, in other words, good power. But something happened and the white light got trapped and hidden away, letting the dark power grow more and more. The dark power is meant to be pure evil, trying to get as many beings on their side. To build an army.”

That doesn’t sound good. “Is this dark power a person? Like me?”

She shrugs. “No one knows, or if they do, no one has ever talked about it. Some say it’s a myth, a reason why there is evil in the world, but my mom believed it existed, that it’s the main power for those who use black magic.”

“What if that’s who was after you? That Mr. Demon downstairs has a boss who is this dark power guy? That I created this hotel in time for a…” I don’t have time to finish when I hear loud whispers in my head.

“Ivory, are you okay?” Kayleigh asks me, but her voice is so faint. “Ivory, what is happening?” I fall to my knees, trying to block my ears; so many voices are running through my head. “I’m going to go and get help.”

I need to calm down. The whispers are good. They are trying to help me. Breathe, Ivory. Breathe. I chant over and over.

“What do you need to say?” I say out loud.

Not everything will be as it seems.

  Don’t give up.

  Always believe.

  Be strong.

The words repeat over and over.

  Then it all stops.

I look around the room, but all I hear is my breathing. It all sounded a little cryptic, couldn’t they use long sentences? I am getting back to my feet when the door bangs open, Kayleigh and the guys run in. When they see I’m okay, they all look at Kayleigh.

“I swear there was something wrong; she was on her knees, and she looked like she was in pain.” Tears fall down her cheeks. I am sure that I have scared her. That’s a great start for us forming a good relationship. I pull her into my arms and hold her.

  Just scare the new girl.

“She is right. I was hearing the whispers, but there were so many, it’s like a hundred people were trying to say a million different things. But a few got through before it all went silent.”

I sit on the bed, Kayleigh at my side. “What did the voices say?” she asks me.
