  Zeususedhisintimatepositioninhisfather’sroyalcourttoobtainan opportunityto“poison”Chronos,aplotsaidtohavebeendevisedbythe goddessMetis,whomHammer‐PurgstallidentifiedwithMete/Baphomet.As younodoubtremember,thiscausedChronostovomitupthechildrenhehad swallowed,whichincludedallofZeus’siblings,thegodsofOlympus.Theythen defeatedChronosandtheTitans,lockedthemupinTartarusbeneaththeEarth, andthenruledhappilyeverafter.Or,atleast,that’swheretheGreeksbrokeoff theirtale.

  Cometothinkofit, Isaidtomyselfmentally, theRomansdidimplythat Apollo wasthefirst‐bornsonandsuccessortoZeus,orJupiter,astheycalledhim.

  ApollowastheOlympiansungod,incontracttoHelios/Sol,whoplayedtherole

  of theSunduringthe“GoldenAge”ofChronos/SaturnandtheTitans.Most writers justchosetosaythatHelios/Solbecame‘syncretized’withApolloinlater years.

  Butwhatiftheywerereallyseparatecharacters? Iwondered. Whatif Apollo supplantedHeliosasthenewsun,andtheformersunheoverthrewwas locked upinTartaruswiththerestoftheTitans?Maybethat’sthemeaningofthe symbolofthe‘blacksun’that’s‘inthecenteroftheEarth.’

  ThenIthoughtaboutthefactthatinthelateRomanEmpire,Mithraismfinally gainedsupportfromtheemperorsbysyncretizingMithraswithSolInvictus, thusmakingagodalreadyidentifiedwithSaturn/Chronosasolarfigureaswell.

  AndalchemistshaveconsistentlyidentifiedSaturnwiththeblacksun,Ithought.

  Inthepresentaeon,whichistheonethatsupplantedtheruleofZeus from Olympus,theSunistheundisputedrulerofthecurrentorder.ButZeusused to playthatrolesomehow,andbeforehim,Chronosdidit.Butduringthattime, Helioswasaseparateentity,playingadifferentrolethanhedoesnow.TheSun wasnot,backthen,thecentralpower.Orrather,someoneelsewasplayingthe roleof‘theSun.’

  NowthethingsthatRosenbergsaidtotheDukeofRothesaymadesensetome.

  TheDuke’sbodywasbeingusedtodrawdownZeus/Jupiterintomortal incarnation.ThebodyofBaronCarrickferguswasbeingusedtodrawdownthe spiritofthenewsun,hissuccessor.

  Zeuswasdefeatedbythenewsungod,Ithoughttomyself.Iwonderwhen that happenedexactly.TheeraoftheworshipofJupitergavewayattheendof the empiretoApollo,SolInvictus,Mithras,andofcourse…toJesus.

  Andthereitwas.TheanswertomyquestionofwhentheaeonofZeus/Jupiter hadgivenwaytothatofthepresentsunwasobvious:year1 Anno Domini.

  ThetransitionmarkedbythecollapseofRomeandthedescentoftheWest into long‐termintellectualdarknessmaynothavebeencleartoeveryoneback then,I thought. ButlateritbecameconnectedwiththeadventofJesusChrist,and it cametopassthatthereckoningoftimewasstartedoverfromthatpoint.So fate devisedanappropriatewayofmarkingthepassagefromtheAeonofoneSun to thatofthenext.

  AllofthiscametomeasIsatthereinthewheelchairattherooftopterraceof NewCourt,promptedbythecommentsthatRosenbergwasmakingtotheDuke ofRothesay.

  ZeusisbeingenticedintotheDuke’sbody,Irealized ,withthepromiseof having Apollo,hissupplanter,serveinthehumiliatingpositionofcupbearer,as Zeus hadoncedoneintheefforttotakethethronefromhisfather.Also, pederasty withveryyoungboyswasaknownproclivityofZeus’,goingbacktohis kidnappingofGanymedetoserveashisowncupbearer.

  Myattentionsnappedbacktothesceneinfrontofme.LittleSaintGeorgewas beingguidedbyMilestostandbetweenthelegsoftheDuke,whohandedthe diamondovertoRosenberg.HelookedatthemanintheLionmaskwithfear, clearlynotrecognizingthatitwashisowngrandfather.ThenMilestappedthe boy’sshoulder,andhesanktohisknees,obviouslytrainedforthejobaheadof time.

  TheDukehandedtheredcrystalinhislaptoRosenberg,whothenhandedittoa trustedRaven.Ilookedaway,upatthesky,justintimetoseesomethinglikea goldenchain,appearingasthickasatreetrunk,emergedfromthepurpleorb.It dangleddownsomewheretothesouth,seeminglyclosetoourlocation.

  Thebottomofthechaindroppeddownbelowmylineofsight.

  TheGoldenChainoftheZeus,Ithoughttomyself.

  InHomer’s Iliad,Zeussaystotheothergods:Ifyoutiedachainofgoldtothe sky,andallofyou,godsandgoddesses,tookhold,youcouldnotdragZeusthe HighCounsellortoearthwithallyourefforts.ButifIdeterminedtopullwitha will,Icouldhauluplandandsea,thenloopthechainroundapeakofOlympus, andleavethemdanglinginspace.BythatmuchamIgreaterthangodsandmen.

  HereIwaslookingatsuchagoldenchain,quiteliterally,withSpiga‐stylelinks (forgedfromovalstwistedtolooklikegrainsofwheat).Itdroppeddownfrom thepurplespherelikeRapunzel’shair,hangingthereforamomentbetweenthe skyandtheEarth.Thenitslithereddownanddisappearedfromview,likeithad beensnippedfromabove.

  Foraboutaminute,Iheardthezappingsoundsofelectricityarching,and everybody’shairbristled.Thensomethingthatlookedjustlikethepurpleorbin

  thesky,butaboutfiveinchesinwidth,shotthroughtheconstructionchuteand hittheDukeonthetopofhishead.Thereitwasabsorbed,causingarippledown theman’sspine.Heconvulsed,rippedhisrobeopen,andthenarchedhispelvis upward,towardstheboy’shead,whichwasalreadydutifullygoingdowntoits task.

  Now,itseemed,whatgodsandmenbeforehadnotbeenabletoachievewith forceforthousandsofyears,awealthybusinessmaninLondonhaddonemerely byofferingthebodyofapowerfulprinceasthevesselthroughwhichto experiencethecarnalpleasuresofpederasty.Watchingithappenbeforemyvery eyesledmetoarealizationaboutalinefrommyfavoriteWelshpoetRobert Graves’book TheWhiteGoddess.

  AsiftocreateabarriertoblindtheBarontohisfather’sabuseofhisson, Consiviasteppedoutin‐betweenthealtarandthethrones.Shethenbeckonedthe Ravensandmenwithleatherveils,whogatheredaroundthethronesinthespace besideher,fullingcoveringtheDuke’sactionsfromtheBaron’sview.Shesang anotherstanzatotheincarnationofJupiterbeforeher.

  “AndwhattheHellisthat?”Chesterfieldwhisperedtome.“TheNew Jerusalem?Isthistheendoftheworld?”

  “Notyet,”saidRosenberg,andhestoodupquicklytohelpblocktheDuke’s viewoftheentrancetothehedge.TheDukereturnedtohispreoccupation.

  PoorPhilippine,whocouldbarelywalknow,wasbroughtinonagurneybythe

  “Barber‐Surgeons,”which,bynow,Ihadgathered,wasthetermforthemen withthewaxingmoonsymbolsontheirveils(the“Butchers”beingthosewith thewaningmoonontheirveils).Theydumpedher,awakeagainnowandcrying, onthepavementbetweenthehorseandhumanblockadeprotectingthepederast princeonhispurplethrone.Nakedontopofatallbuildinginthemiddleofthe night,Philippinewasshiveringseverely.Sherolledoveronherstomachand emittedahigh‐pitchedsqueal.

  Atthesoundofhercry,BaronCarrickfergusturnedaroundsharply,separating fromtheboyashedidso.Whenhelaideyesuponthegirl—Iswear—Isaw themflashwithagoldenglowforabriefsecond,visiblethroughtheholesofhis sunmask.

  Thentheyelloworbpouredoutayellow‐orangestreamoffluid.Itseemedtofall closeby,tothesouthofus,justwherethegoldenchainhaddroppeddown.It honestlylookedlikethesun‐likeobjecttakingapiss.Afewmomentslater,a miniatureversionofitwasimmergingfromtheconstructionchute,aboutthe sizeofabasketball.

  Themini‐suncameandhoveredovertheBaron’shead,forminganangelichalo behindhim.Helookedupatitlovinglyandsmiled.Thenitenteredhim,lighting uphisbodylikeayellowglowstickasittraveleddownhisspine.Fully possessednow,theBarongrabbedhisfallingtrouserswithhislefthand,raised hisrighthandtotheskyandlaughedexcitedly.

  “Ahyes!Finally,afemaleinthiscastleoffaggotry!”Helethispantsfalltothe groundandthensteppedoutofthem,alongwithhisshoes.Consiviaplaceda horsewhipinhishand.

  “She’sgotthefaceofahorsethough,”hesaid,withoutlookingupathishand.

  “ThengetherinsidetheBrazenHorsewhereyoucan’tseeherfaceandhavea goatherbackside,”saidConsivia.“That’swhatwe’reallheretowitness!”

  TheBaronlookedleftatthecrowdthathadgatherednearhim,unawareofthe sighttheywereblockinghimfrom,andacknowledgethemwithasalute.Then helookedathishandandsawwhatthepriestesshadgivenhim.

  “Alrightthen,thanks!”hesaid.

  Hebroughtdownhiswhipuponthegirl’sexposedbuttocks,shouting

  “Gee!”and“Haw!”atherwithrepeatedblowstogethertomoveinthe directionhewanted.Heforcedhertoclimbinsidethehorse’svelvet‐lined interiorwithherrumplineduptotheholeintheback.Thisopeningalso wrappedaroundthesidepart‐way,providingacross‐sectionfortheaudienceto viewofherpelvisandlegsinsidethedevice.

  TheBaronwalkedupbehindher,andupthethree‐stepmountingblockthathad beenplacedthereforhim.Hepulledhismaskuptohisforeheadforamoment, andspatonhishandforlubrication.ButthenConsiviaofferedhimanopencan ofLyle’sGoldenSyrup.

  “Don’tbevulgar,”sheadmonished.“Thisisaholyrite,notapornmovie.”

  Helookedatherforamoment,probablyfindingthesameironyinhercomment thatIdid.

  “Outofthestrongshallcomeforthsweetness,”shesaid,inallseriousness.

  Thatwasaparaphraseofthecompanysloganonthesyrupcan,whichitselfisa quotefrom Judges 14:14,somethingaboutbeesmakinghoneyinthecarcassofa lion.TheBarontookahandfulofthesyrup,whichwassomehowlessvulgar thanspitforsodomizingtwelve‐year‐oldgirlswith,thensmeareditonhimself, aswellasthegirl’sbehind.Thesun‐likeobjectabovethenbeganpulsating,its brightnessflickeringupanddowntodifferentlevelsatthepaceofanexcited heartbeat.

  “Oooohnooooo,”Philippinedroneddreadfully.Thensheletoutanotherear-piercingshriekastheBaronpenetratedheranus.Above,theskydarkenedasthe Moonandthegoldenorb,stillpulsating,mergedtogetherhalf‐way,forminga

  vesicapisces shapewithasicklyyellowovalinthecenter.Insideofthisoval wasthatroundredsplotchthattheMoonhadacquired,nowtintedtoappear orange.

  Justthen,theDukeusedhisshoetokickRosenberg,stillstandinginfrontof him,lightlyinthebackoftheleg.Rosenbergturnedaroundandlookedathim.

  “What?”

  “Ican’tholdoutmuchlonger,”saidtheDuke.“I’mreadytoblow.”

  TheBaronhadfallenbackwardsasteponthehorsemount,probablydrunkfrom ambrosialblood‐wineand,ofcourse,archonticpossession.Hecaughthimselfon thesecondstep,anddidn’tfallallthewaydown.Buthehadtoreinserthimself intohisvictim.Thenheclimaxedsuddenlywithashout.

  However,half‐waythroughshootinghisload,hepulledout,thenwentbackin quicklytodelivertherestofit.

  “Whoops,wrongholethere,”hesaid,andlaughed,slappingherbehind.

  Thenheglancedovertohisleftandscannedthecrowd,lookingfortheDuke.

  “Daddy,she’sallyours!”hehollered.

  Justintime,RosenbergpulledLittleSaintGeorgeawayfromhistaskandinto theshadowsinthecornerofthehedgebehindus.ThenIsawhimhandtheboy offtoMiles.Meanwhile,ConsiviagrabbedtheDukeandshovedhimovertothe brazenhorse,forcingthecrowdtopart.

  Therewasnotimeformorelubrication.TheDukeputhispenisintheyoung lady’snow‐widenedanusjustintimetodelivertheseed.Butashisthrusts subsided,hisreliefturnedtoshock.Ahandgrabbedhimfrombehindontheleft shoulderandpulledhimpart‐wayoutofwhathewasstuckin.Anotherhand broughtthebladeofaceremonial harpedownswiftlyontheman’sgenitals, severingtheminonecleanblow.

  ItwastheBaron.Rosenberghadhandedhimtheweapon,thenpulledtheDuke backwardssohecouldmakethecut.

  TheDukescreamedandfellbackwards,bloodpouringoutofhiscrotch,which hecoveredasherolledoverinpain,holleringhorribly.

  “Auughh!Auughh!”

  ThenBaronputthe harpeonthealtarandpickeduphishorsewhipagain,which hehadtemporarilyplacedthere.Consiviasteppedforthandshovedthecutpenis andballs,whichwerestillstickingoutofPhilippine’srectum,allthewayin.

  Thegirlshriekedagain,thensobbedsomemore.

  “Thatwillgiveyourbabysomeextranutritiontonight,”saidthepriestess,asshe smiledpsychoticallyinherclownmake‐up.

  TheBaronstoodovertheDuke,horsewhipinhand,ashisvictimcontinuedto wail.Helandedablowontheman’sface,causinghimtotrytorollfurtheraway.

  ThenhestartedshoutingattheDuke,andpointingatSaintGeorge,whowasstill coweringinthecornerofthehedge,huggingMiles’legandburyinghisface.

  “Soyouusemysontogetyourdickhard,becauseyoucan’tgetitupforagirl anymore?Becauseyou’reafaggot!”

  Hewhippedhimagain.

  “BecauseyouwanttomessuphisheadthesamewayyouandGrandpamessed meup?Thenyou
comeandfuckmywifetoo!”

  Anotherblow.TheDuke,barelyabletospeak,managedtochokeoutan objectiontotheBaron’sdelusionalremark,broughton,nodoubt,bythe possession.

  “Thatisnotyourwife!”hesaid.“ThatisawhoreandaJewess.Yourwifeis backatthePalacewaitingforyou.”TheBaronhithimagain.

  “Donottalkaboutmywifelikethat!”heshouted.

  “She’snotaJewess,”Rosenbergsaid,intervening.Hetookawaythehorsewhip, whichtheBaronreluctantlyallowed,andstareddownattheDuke.

  “Youbothmaythinkshelookslikeahorse,butyouhaveonlyyourowngenes

  toblame,nottheRothschilds.”

  “Whatdoyoumean?”boththeDukeandtheBaronaskedinunison.

  “CrispinwastheyoungestsonofthePrincess,”saidRosenberg.“Yourwife,the oneyouletyourmotherkill,DukeofRothesay.JustasOenomaus,thesonof Ares,disposedofhisdaughter’ssuitorswithafaultychariotwheelthatsent twelveofthemtotheirdeaths.”

  “That’sjustaconspiracytheory,”saidtheBaron.“Andshewasn’tpregnantwith thatArab’sbaby.”

  “No,butshewaspregnantwithyourfather’sbaby,”Rosenbergreplied.

  “Theyhadrecentlyengagedinanintimateencounter,despitetheirdivorce.Isn’t thatright,DukeofRothesay.”

  “Howdoyouknowthis?”theDukegasped,losingbloodrapidly.

  “BecausetheBarber‐Surgeonswerehiredtocutupthebodyonyourmother’s orders.Andtodeliverthehearttoyou,onyourorders.Buttheywerealready workingformeaswell,andwhentheytoldmeaboutwhattheywouldbedoing withthePrincess,Itookthelibertyofhavingthewombexcisedformyself.

  ThenIbroughtittofruitionwiththepowerofmyalchemy.”

  TheBaron’sheadhunglowashetookitallin.

  “Hewasafineboy,really.Intelligentandbeautifultobehold.IlettheMartinas adopthim,thinkingthathewouldbewellcared‐for.Buttheyjustwantedtouse hisexistenceasleverageagainstthecrown.Theyneglectedhismoral instruction.Theinfluenceofbeingraisedbybankersturnedhimintoagreedy, weakpantywaist,fitonlyforfucking.Ithankyouforhelpingmetakehimoutof thepicture.Idon’tthinkIcouldhavedoneitotherwise.Ilovedhimlikeason, inmyownway.”
