The Way I Heard It
Page 22
I’m equally indebted to everyone at mikeroweWORKS—in particular, Mary Sullivan, Chuck Klausmeyer, and Jade Estrada, who looked on in horror as I vanished from view for several months to impersonate a writer and wondered, quite rightly, if I would ever return. Without their loyalty and support, this book would not exist. I’m also grateful to Sean McCourt and Susan Lee Smith, whose early ideas for my podcast have found their way into the preceding pages. I’m much obliged to you both.
Alex Abramovich (a wreck of a man and one heck of a writer) was instrumental in assembling and shaping the preceding pages. Alex also recommended I use Marcellus Hall to provide the illustrations, which I think are terrific. Thank you both for making this book better than it would have otherwise been.
Finally, I’d like to thank the listeners of The Way I Heard It, and the five million people who continue to frequent my Facebook page. Of my many masters, you are the ones that matter most, with the notable exception of my parents, to whom this book is dedicated, and without whom I’d have no one to acknowledge.
