Making Her Mine (Player Loves Curves Book 1)
Page 3
I feed Max and let him out.
I call my assistant and ask him to please make sure that Trinity’s car is towed to the mechanic and gets fixed as soon as possible.
After that’s done, I start breakfast. My thoughts stray to Trinity and how refreshing she is. After women constantly throwing themselves at me, it’s nice to find one that doesn’t seem to be after me for my fame or money. I get it she’s worried, but I’m willing to prove to her the type of guy I am. I am the guy that’s in it for the long haul. I’ve never been the type to sleep around with just anyone. I’ve been searching for someone to spend my life with, and even though we just met, I can’t help but wonder if we could be more. I can wait for sex; it doesn’t have to be now.
I get the turkey bacon started and pull out eggs from the refrigerator. I’m not sure what she likes, but I figure I can’t go wrong with bacon and eggs.
I finish cooking and plate the food. When I turn around from the counter, she’s leaning in the doorway, watching me, with Max at her side. My dog seems to have good taste in women. I smile at her. She’s still wearing my T-shirt and she looks even better than she did in the dream I had of her the night before. It’s long, hanging almost to her knees, and covers all of her body, but just the thought that it’s my shirt covering her soft skin makes my heartbeat pick up a little. Keep it together, Jasper.
I stifle my longing and walk toward the table in the connected dining room. “Breakfast is ready.”
She follows behind me and sits down at the chair I’m holding out for her. “So you cook too?”
I shrug my shoulders. “Yeah. I sort of have to if I want to eat.” I grab the orange juice carafe off the counter and bring it over, pouring us each a drink. When I sit down, she is looking at me with confusion on her face.
The corners of her lips lift. “Well, if this is as good as it looks, you just might be every woman’s dream come true.”
As soon as she says it, her face flushes a deep red. Instead of calling out her flirtatious words, I let her know I had her car towed. “It’s at my mechanic’s. We’ll pick it up in a few hours.”
She’s bringing a piece of bacon up to her lips and stops. “You really shouldn’t have gone to so much trouble, Jasper. I fully intended on taking care of it.”
I take a bit of food, weighing her words. Obviously she’s used to doing things on her own. I look at her, wondering how she would feel if she knew I wanted to help her.
“All you have to do is say ‘thank you.’” I take a bite and then push her plate toward her. “Eat up.”
She takes a few bites and I can see that her brain is working a mile a minute. We talk about the day, my practice and her having the day off. But I can tell something else is on her mind.
She finishes her food and grabs both of our plates, taking them back to the kitchen. I follow behind her. “I got the dishes.”
She sets them in the sink and turns around, but she must not realize how close I am because when she holds her hand up, it’s right against my chest. I try not to smile as she grips onto the front of my shirt, her fingers curling into me.
“No, I got them. You cooked, after all.” She turns back around quickly, rotating the nob on the faucet.
I stand behind her, looking at my name on her back. I want to reach out to her; it’s like her body is a magnet and I want to be next to her. I know I’m in her space, but I can’t bring myself to back away. “I’ll help.”
She nods her head, and I grab a towel to start drying. “So we have a few hours until your car’s ready. Is there anything you need to do?”
Trinity
I spent the whole night tossing and turning in his big spacious bed. Regret filled me and it’s even worse today. I want him like I’ve never wanted anything in my life. Every second I spend with him makes me want him more.
He asked me what I want to do. I should run. I should go and never look back. But that’s not what I want. What I want just cooked me breakfast and is now drying the dishes. What I want took care of getting my car fixed. I hand over the last dish and turn to him. “What do you want to do?”
I’m looking him right in the eye. He sets the plate down on the counter and then reaches for my hands. He pulls me to him until I’m flat against his chest. “I really like you, Trinity.”
Whatever I thought he was going to say, it wasn’t that. But his words cover me like a soft, warm blanket. “I like you too.”
He leans down and as soon as his lips touch mine, it hits me. My life will never be the same. I thought I was living, but whatever that was wasn’t living. This is almost like I’m flying and I have my whole life before me. His hands go around my waist and he pulls me in even closer to him. My mouth opens and he deepens the kiss. The taste of him on my tongue filtrates my system and I gasp, pulling away from him. “Oh my,” I say with my hand over my mouth.

Trinity
He’s breathing hard and he’s staring back at me with wild eyes. “I want to be a gentleman with you, but I want to tell you everything that’s in my head. Everything I want to do to you.”
His words sink in and I know exactly what he means. “I want that. Tell me.”
His hands tighten on my hips. “Are you sure? Are you ready for that?”
Now’s my chance. I can run if I still want to. And the Trinity from yesterday would do just that. But not the me today. “I’m sure.”
He doesn’t even hesitate. He bends over and picks me up, cradling me in his arms. I wait for him to grimace or make a face at my weight, but he doesn’t. He just stares back at me with heat in his eyes.
With my arms wrapped around his neck, I tell him, “I would say I’m too heavy to carry, but you seem like you’re all right, and I have to admit I like being in your arms.”
He starts walking out of the kitchen and up the stairs, without even breathing heavily. “You’re definitely not too heavy. But it’s good to know, because I like having you in my arms.”
He walks us into his bedroom, kicking the door closed and leaving Max in the hallway. He sets me down on my feet next to the bed. He must see the hesitancy in my face, because his hand brushes my cheek lightly. “You okay? You don’t have to do this. I can wait.”
Instantly, I shake my head side to side. “I want to. I don’t want to wait, but there’s something you need to know.”
He pulls his shirt over his head and I lose my train of thought. His muscles ripple and the little hair he has on his hard belly leads down into his shorts. Shaking the dirty thoughts that are filling my ahead away, I look up into his eyes.
His forehead is creased in worry. “What is it?”
I clinch my eyes together tightly. “I’m, uh, well, this is my first time.”
He takes a step back from me and I wish I hadn’t said anything, but I figured he had a right to know. I fill the gap between us, touching my hands to his chest. He covers mine with his own, almost like he’s wanting to hold me still against him.
“I don’t want to wait… not anymore. But if that—me—is not what you want, I understand.”
His hand touches my chin, tilting my head backwards until I’m looking into his eyes. “There’s no doubt about it. I want you, Trinity. But I need you to be sure. Once I have you, there’s no going back.”
In answer, I slide my hands down his hard stomach and grip the button of his shorts, undoing them. I slowly unzip him, sliding my hand down the front of his shorts. I don’t have a clue what I’m doing, but I’m letting my instincts lead me. I just know that I want to touch him, to feel him in my hand.
I can barely wrap my hand around his girth, but when I touch him, he sucks in a breath. He reaches down, cupping my hand in his and holding me to him. He takes a ragged breath and then pulls my hand free of him.
“I’m barely hanging on.” He undresses me slowly, his hands touching me everywhere. Before I know it, I’m standing before him naked. Every place on my body he looks at, he touches. His rough fingers ignite pleasure sens
ors all across my body.
“Yes,” I breathe out, not wanting him to stop.
His hands slide between us and he coats his fingers as he slides through my wet pussy. A moan escapes me, but I lift up on my tiptoes, wanting to grant him better access.
“You’re so wet, baby,” he says as he slides his finger around my swollen bundle of nerves. I grip on to his arms even tighter, my body coiling as pressure builds inside me. Only seconds go by, and I’m gyrating my hips back and forth. He doesn’t stop, he doesn’t slow down, he keeps pushing me farther and farther until it’s like I’m falling off a cliff and my whole body spasms.
I groan with an animalistic noise, but he kisses me, swallowing the sound. My body limp, he walks me backwards until the back of my knees hit the bed and I fall onto it.
He removes the rest of his clothes quickly and lies across me. He suckles at my breast, and already, I want him again.
He lifts his head to look at me. “You want to be on top?”
I blink, not registering his words. When he moves, and his hard cock presses into my hip, I get it. Shaking my head, I tell him, “No.”
He kisses me again, and when he pulls away, he’s smiling at me. “You have to breathe.”
I start to laugh, knowing that I’m being ridiculous. Every day people do this…. I can do this.
I open my legs to him and wrap them around his hips, rocking into him. He wastes no time. Pulling away from me, he sheathes himself and then is back in a second, lining himself up at my entrance.
His tip barely penetrates me and already I feel full. He pushes in further and my whole body tautens underneath him.
“You with me?” he whispers against my cheek.
I nod my head and he pulls back to look at me. I smile widely at him before planting my feet on the bed and pushing my hips up to meet his. He surges inside me and his guttural groan fills the room. The pain is quick and over in an instant. Afterwards, all I feel is sweet, sweet pleasure. The friction as he moves in and out of me has me panting, pawing at him, wanting more.
The pleasure is so intense, I fear I might pass out from it. “Please don’t stop,” I plead with him, feeling my heart race.
“I won’t. I can’t,” he mutters in between groans as he plows into me. “Come, baby,” he commands as his fingers rub across my already sensitive nub. I come then, like a rocket, my whole body taut, every muscle pulled to an extreme as I lift my hips off the bed.
He keeps rocking in and out of me, his movements slow and sensual. The friction makes my body jerk as little aftershocks wrack my body.
When I have nothing left to give and can barely lift my head, he pulls out of me. He gets up and I should too, cover myself or something, but I don’t. I lie there in awe of everything that just happened. I waited all this time and with Jasper, it was definitely worth the wait.
He walks back into the room and I reach for my clothes to put them on. He grabs them from my hands and tosses them across the room to a chair.
He uses a warm cloth to clean between my legs and I can’t stop the flinch. I’m a little sore.
He tosses it across the room, hitting the laundry basket, and then crawls on all fours across the bed, right up my body. He’s holding himself up on his arms, looking down at me. I know I must have a pensive look on my face. I don’t know what I should do now. Should I leave? Is that what he expects of me?
He leans down, kissing the tip of my nose. “I don’t know what you’re thinking in that pretty little head of yours, but I’m not letting you go. Once wasn’t enough, and I know you’re sore, so instead you’re going to have to lie here and let me hold you.”
I know my smile takes over my whole face, but I don’t care. “I can handle that.”

Three Weeks Later
“I never thought I’d be this kind of girl,” I say into the phone at my ear. I’m walking through the terminal, talking to my best friend Cassie on the phone.
She has nonstop been poking fun of me since Jasper and I first got together. But I don’t blame her. I’m a mess, a hot mess really. I’m now the girl that misses her boyfriend when he’s away and wants to spend every minute with him since we started dating.
Cassie just laughs into the phone. “Enjoy it.”
I take a deep breath and ask her, “Really, you think I should just go for it and hold nothing back?”
Instantly, she says, “Yes, definitely.”
I start laughing even before I get the whole sentence out. “Good, because I’m at the airport to pick him up.”
My friend laughs. “Oh my God, you are so that girl!”
“There he is, gotta go!” I tell her before clicking the hang up button. I wave at Jasper and barely hold myself back from running toward him. He’s walking out with a bunch of his teammates and although I’ve met a few, I don’t know exactly what he’s told them about us.
Instantly, nervousness fills me. I stop where I’m at, because I know if I keep walking, I’m just going to run to him and the last thing I want to do is embarrass him. He gives me a weird look and starts jogging my way, leaving his teammates behind.
As soon as he reaches me, he wraps his arms around me and latches his lips on to mine. The sound of hooting and hollering has us breaking apart and he just smiles at them, waving them on. He leans his head against mine. “I thought you missed me?”
“I did miss you. A lot,” I confess to him.
“You didn’t seem too excited to see me,” he says with hurt in his voice.
I wrap my arms around the back of his neck. “I was excited, but when I pictured this, I didn’t envision your friends being with you. I didn’t want to embarrass you or something…”
“Embarrass me? That’s nuts. You could never embarrass me. We’re together, Trinity. Let’s act like it, okay?”
I take his words to heart and lean toward him, kissing him. When we finally pull apart, I tell him, nodding my head, “You’re right. Can we get a redo? Or do you take IOUs?”
He sweeps me up into his arms, kissing me like we’re the only two people in the airport. We hustle through baggage claim and he leads me to the parking lot, asking me where the car is. Many people recognize him and he waves but doesn’t stop moving. I trail next to him, pointing him in the right direction, running after him as fast as my legs will carry me, until finally I pull him back. “Hey, what’s the big hurry?”
He doesn’t slow down except to pick me up. “I’m collecting on my IOU.”
I struggle in his arms, but he doesn’t let go. Finally, I have to tell him. “Jasper, I don’t have any underwear on,” I whisper, knowing I have a skirt on and am probably mooning all of Tennessee right now.
“You what?” he asks me. I can feel his chest rumble as he says it and I can’t help but think about how much I’ve missed him these last few days. He sets me on my feet and with his hand on the small of my back, he pushes me forward. When I look back at him, his jaw is tight, but other than that his expression is unreadable.
He sets me down next to the passenger side door and holds his hands out. “Keys?”
I pull them out of my pocket and hand them over to him. He opens the door, practically pushing me inside before he runs around and gets in the driver’s side. Backing out of the parking lot, he squeals his tires as pulls out.
“You missed the exit,” I tell him.
He keeps driving and even from the passenger seat, I can tell he’s mid thought. “I didn’t miss it.”
He pulls us up to the abandoned rooftop level. He reaches for me, sliding his hand up my leg and under my skirt. “Baby, I’ve missed you so much. You’re all I thought about.”
“Me too. I missed you so much.”
Jasper
I planned to wait, but I can’t wait anymore. “I want you to move in with me.” I blurt the words out. I planned to do it nicer, maybe with a little more romance than in the front seat of her car, but I can’t wait any longer. I don’t wait for her to a
nswer me. “When I’m home, I want you with me. When I’m away, I want to know that you’re safe at our home in our bed.”
She’s looking at me in awe and I can see the indecision on her face, but I know I won’t stop until I get the answer I want. I slide my hand along her wet slit. She’s soaked for me. ‘Please say yes,” I plead with her.
I put pressure on her swollen nub, and she moans against my neck. “Yes, yes, yes.”
I don’t stop pleasing her, but I have to ask, “Yes, you’ll move in with me?”
She lifts her eyes to me and they’re filled with desire. “Yes,” she says softly.
Satisfied, I lean in to kiss her and seal the deal.
I know there’s things we need to talk about. Things that happened while I was away at this last game, but I’m confident it will be fine. I don’t want to worry her with it now. We can talk about it after she’s moved in.
With that decision made, I pull her across the seat and into my lap. Nuzzling her neck, I ask her, “Now what about that IOU?”

Trinity
I knew that Sheena wouldn’t be happy about me moving out, especially since I’m usually the one that gets stuck with the rent, but I hadn’t expected her to act so angry about it.
Finally, after she finished yelling at me, telling me how selfish I am, she glares at me.
Throwing my hands up in frustration, I ask her, “What’s your problem? You’re my sister. I thought you’d be happy for me.”
She shakes her head and something changes in her face. She’s been weird since she got back into town last weekend after going to watch Carter play. Jasper had invited me to go, but I wasn’t able to take off work. Unlike Sheena, I didn’t have someone to bail me out—well, maybe I do. I know Jasper would help me if I needed it, but I wouldn’t want to ask him for money.
