  Alan walked slowly and looked at the face of the person lying on the left bed. He jumped and almost fell down by the sight of what he saw. It was him. It was Alan lying on the bed and these people were conducting experiments on him. For a second he stood there not knowing what to say or think.

  “Alan, it is you on whom they were experimenting until the present day. It was you, who gave them the location of the Warrior's last meeting. You were the only subject who survived their experiments. Everyone had a mental break down and the scientists had to leave them in a mental home. It was you, who gave them a green light for the biggest project of the human history for controlling the population. Based on your responses and reactions they concluded that this was possible. You were carrying out every one of their assignments implanted by them and you even don't remember when that happened. Now when you know this is possible, you must find a solution to stop the manipulation. Later in the experimental stages, the scientist decided to implant a chip inside your head, to continue the tests with more advanced tasks because you were also a part of the secret society, which was fighting against them. Unfortunately, they probably know what you are planning to do and will be prepared for it. Be careful. You need to go deep inside yourself and try to remember. Only then you will be able to find a way to stop them.”

  Alan was feeling dizzy. All efforts he was putting were probably useless. He now remembered, the loss of time sometimes was a result of him being controlled by the “Company” and serving their needs. The whole world was collapsing in front of him. He started squeezing his head, in an attempt to understand or feel the chip inside his body. The ground around him started spinning. He lost consciousness and fell down.

  CHAPTER 17

  We all Believe

  On Saturday morning around 6 a.m., lying on the floor in Alberi's house, Alan was awoken by a phone call. It was Kane.

  “Alan, I have bad news. The “Company” discovered that Azmo was stealing information from them and they have captured him. Erion contacted us. He got the disk with all the data that Azmo found for the experiments. They want to meet with us in one hour.”

  “Kane, I cannot come … It was me Kane, it was me all the time. They have been experimenting on me for years and I have been giving them all the information about our activities. I was the one who gave them the location of our last meeting. I would not risk this time Kane. I need a time to think.”

  “We know that Alan. Erion told us everything. He found secret documents of the experiments they were conducting and your name was there as a top subject. It's not your fault, don't blame yourself. There is a way out of that. Erion has a device, which could stop the signals coming to you and he will remove the nanochip from your head. We need to move fast. I am coming to pick you up in thirty minutes. Stay put.”

  “Thanks Kane.” Alan dropped on the ground screaming of despair and anger. It was clear that because of him they knew what Azmo was planning to do. It was his entire fault. In about thirty minutes, Kane arrived and helped him stand up from the ground. Supporting him on his shoulder both went up and got into the car.

  “I am sorry Kane, I am so sorry. I have failed everyone.”

  “Before we go, I need you to put this helmet on and also I have to sedate you.” Alan stretched his arm and slowly sank into a deep and relaxed sleep… When he woke up, he found himself lying on an operation table, and saw Anika next to him.

  “Try not to talk. You underwent a surgical operation of your brain. We had to remove the implant, which was designed to control your thoughts. Now you are safe. Unfortunately, when they had you in the “Company,” they found your unique brain frequency and could send emotions directly to you, not affecting anyone else. We had to put a little device in your head, which is changing your brain frequencies, thus they would not be able to affect you with their signals. Until all is over, you must carry that… how do you feel?”

  “I feel…ok, lighter than before. As if I had heaviness in my head, which is now gone. Where are we? Where is Azmo?”

  “He was captured by the “Company” and is being held there. We have no further information about whether they will terminate him or will be kept captive. As for where we are, come and see for yourself. I brought you some clothes and put them on the chair. We will be waiting outside when you are ready.”

  Alan managed to lift himself and walked slowly to the chair. He dressed up and went to fresh up in a bathroom. He looked at the mirror and saw himself with shaved head because of the surgery. Looking straight at his reflection and into his eyes, he saw a living spirit inside them, spirit that was waiting to come out and express itself. Alan stood upright and went out of there. He slowly opened the exit door and found himself in a little corridor. Anika was there waiting. They walked through the little corridor into a huge room. Everyone slowly stood up when they saw Alan. The King stepped up and greeted him:

  “Welcome back Alan. I am Erion. I guess you have heard about me and you are aware of the things we are doing. The situation has changed and we are on the same side, fighting for the same cause. I admire your courage and I am proud to stand side by side with you in that battle. Let me explain briefly, what has happened. As you know, a young man called Azmo joined us. We know he was in your group years ago when he switched sides by joining the “Company.” However the young man was not satisfied with their goals either, and decided to find out by himself whether they fight for a fair cause. He decided to help you when he stumbled upon information, which revealed to him that the humanity was in danger. Luckily, at that time, he sent us the same information before he was captured. We have our ways when it comes to the “Company,” and managed to get secret files, which had more information, filling the missing puzzle pieces of the whole picture. We understood you was their main experiment and was going to conduct the attack on Monday. We also heard that you found out the same yesterday. Fortunately, for all of us, we managed to remove the chip from your head, which was manipulating your moves and thoughts. We replaced it with a device that will change your brain waves into different pattern, thus they will not be able to control you anymore. This was the easy part. From now on, we must decide how to prevent their plan from happening. They found out that we know about you. We also know that Azmo has been captured and probably they have been torturing him for information. We are no longer certain that the experiment will take place at the exact time and day. What we could hope for is to be able to stop it before it is too late. We have the plans of the building and the access codes for the security systems. We must act fast and we must act soon. We are here today to find out the way to stop that from happening. It will be dangerous and there would be no way out, but if we do not try, the world will be forever changed and will never be the same, as we know it.” He called everyone to gather around the table in the center of the room. He placed the plans of the building in front of them and let them go again through their assignments. “The operation will start tonight at midnight. Alan, we already discussed the plan with the rest of the group. You will be now briefed about what we are going to do.”

  All attendees had their tasks and started preparing. They entered a room with weapons and different body armor. Everyone started taking whatever they needed. Shortly after that, the people walked through a couple of different rooms and gathered in an enormous huge hall, which was in the shape of a circle with six symmetrically situated doors. Erion stood on one side and asked for the attention of everybody.

  “The time has come when I have to introduce to you the species, which we call Megor. They will help us get into the building of the “Company.” Don't be afraid, as they all know you already. They have sensed and smelled every one of you. They could recognize a human in the dark from a long distance. Their abilities differ as some of them have developed different skills over time. Some can see in the dark, some could hear from miles away, some are twenty times stronger than man is. I would like to introduce them to you now. Please follow me. ”

  After a five—mi
nute walk, they arrived into something like a huge cylinder shaped cave, enormously wide and high. There were metal stairs attached to the walls, going upwards in a spiral way and large diameter holes on every six meters. Erion stood in the middle and produced the strangest sound Alan has ever heard in his life. Suddenly, strong noise, voices, and echoes started coming out of these holes. The entrances of these little caves were around four meters in diameter. Slowly, strange creatures started coming out from them. They were having elongated heads with eyes covered with dark red membrane, slim humanoid bodies and were moving strangely smooth. They all looked at the people standing down for a couple of seconds when one of them descended from the top. He stepped on the ground and got closer to Erion. They started talking in a language, which was rather similar to the one Alan was using to speak with the Dorgs. In a couple of seconds, Erion moved away and told everyone.

  “They are ready to join us tonight. We need to make sure that everything is according to the plan.”

  The Megor who talked to Erion deliberately turned his head towards the rest of the people and slowly examined them. The Megors were designed by a strange way in the labs of the “Company.” There were only rumors of their creation but most of the people who have seen them say the rumors must be true. The earth was visited by extraterrestrials long time ago, but the military were trying to hide their encounters with the aliens from the people at all costs. They did not want the knowledge, which they shared with them to be available to all people. Some say the population was not ready to meet them. The connection between the aliens and the military was getting better and better until they decided to further improve the already created Dorg race, by designing interbreed species between the aliens and the humans by mixing the DNA of the aliens with those of the Dorgs, thus giving all strengths of the human with none of their weaknesses. That could have been the perfect match. At first, the experiments were not successful, but it took just a couple of months before they find the balance and create the first creatures, which they later called Megor. The Megors were designed to be species that could seal the bond between the aliens and the humans. Soon the military discovered their incredible abilities and it did not take long before they started having plans of their own. They wanted to use these newly created beings to fight for them and do the dirty job instead of the humans. They started doing experiments with the creatures secretly without the knowledge of the aliens. Eventually however, the bubble always emerges on the surface. The Megors had the ability to communicate telepathically with their creators. During one of their visits, the aliens found out about the plan of the military, by establishing mental connection with some of the creatures locked in dungeons. It was clear for them that trust could not be maintained and they decided not to help them any longer. There was no information about what happened then and whether they would come back. This was how the Megors were created. They very much despised human beings. Soon after that, the Dorgs decided that they would no longer be slaves and hit the military base with whatever they could. In the end, most of them were killed and the rest escaped trying to hide in the city. The “warriors” found some of the Dorgs and offered them to join their group, as in return they would provide shelter and food. As for Erion, he was a hybrid experiment between Dorgs and Megors.

  After the Dorgs brake out, the Megors started feeling their power and superiority. They were stronger, bigger, and smarter and were capable of doing things, which the humans could only dream about. They no longer felt fear from them. The day came when led by Erion they broke their prison and escaped. The “Company” used those, which were dead or dying, to continue the biological experiments. Later on, the Megors found the place they occupy now. It was abandoned, but they rebuilt everything themselves. Tonight they were ready to stand against the “Company” and to remind them that the world always seeks to balance itself. After the meeting, the Megors went back to finalize their plan.

  “We are all prepared,” said Erion. “Tonight at midnight, we will commence our attack and join you a little bit later.” After that, the guests left and gathered in front of the house.

  “All right people, we shall meet at the place no later than midnight. I just hope we are not too late for that mission,” Kane expressed his concern.

  They looked at each other and in silence got in their vehicles. Alan and Anika were in their car when Alan spoke:

  “Anika, if you notice something wrong with me during the mission, do not hesitate, and do what you think is right. I hope the device in my head will neutralize the signals from the “Company.”

  “You know that this can't happen, everything will be ok. As long as we stick together, we will survive.”

  Soon they arrived at their place. Outside the weather was cool with small wind, but the sky was clear. The evening was like any other. Both went inside and stayed silent for a couple of seconds when Alan asked Anika to pray together with him. Everything was moving in a slow motion. They could match their frequencies so easily that sometimes they move as one, hear as one, and see as one. Both kneeled against each other and placed their palms on the floor, then slowly lowered their upper bodies touching the ground with their foreheads and at the same time slightly touching their heads. They quietly started whispering the prayer, moving their lips simultaneously, wanting all this to end, to be transformed into a better reality for all human beings, reality filled with new dreams and emotions, positive people and experiences. Now the chance to do that has come. That challenge must be faced and that experience would be their greatest reward for all their efforts. In that moment, they felt the stillness of life, in that single fraction of time they managed to experience the essence of nature. Everything that creation represented was in that timeframe.

  Alan and Anika slowly stood up and looked outside. People were living their lives, following their dreams, experiencing love, sadness and happiness. Sadly, soon everything could end and all that would be no longer real. What could it be if they had to live in a world where everyone is a controlled robot, feeling nothing else than what he was programmed to feel. A world where the word “choice” is nonexistent. A society where everyone is living its life, thinking that it is real. What about the new kids, the new generation that is supposed to build the future. Will the “Company” control them all? Will they be able to express their opinions freely? Would they be capable of waking up and help other people, to realize what they are and the endless possibilities which are in front of them? All these questions came into their minds where the answers were clear. It was a matter of time to find out if that would be where they would live in. After all, everything is a choice.

  It was one hour before midnight. Everyone was getting mentally ready, going through the plan over and over again. There could be no mistakes. Everything had to be perfect if they wanted to succeed. The “warriors” have developed special devices, which acted as a shield for different frequency waves. One of these gadgets would be able to protect against the attack in a radius of twenty meters. Mike and Maria were instructed to stay in their home and use the device that would form something like a bubble around their house. Unfortunately, there was not much time to develop more of them to be able to protect as many people as they could. They left couple of these in the hospital, in the secret bases of the “warriors,” in the houses of their relatives, and with the rest they covered as much area as they could.

  CHAPTER 18

  “Shield”

  It was almost midnight. The group gathered close to the hidden entrances of the “Company'” building. They were built in case of an emergency and have not been used for years. There were four tunnels leading to different places. The plan was to separate into four groups and each group would go through a different tunnel. They had the construction plans of the structure and four different tasks. The first group led by Adonis was going to take control of the command center and would try to disable the alarms and the security cameras. The second group led by Heops was going to the labs and destroy as much eq
uipment as they could, including attracting as much attention as possible. The third group was with Kane. They would clear the path for the fourth group and eliminate everyone on their way. Alan and Anika were the leaders of the last one. Even though the third and the fourth group were going through different tunnels, they were going to end up very close to each other. The last group's aim was to destroy the device, which was located in a different sector. After the first two groups complete their missions, they would group and head to the distant sector with the device. All of them had Dorgs, but most were concentrated in the second and the fourth group. The Megors were coming together with Erion through a different path, which was going under the building. That was another way, which they discovered in the past.

  It was midnight. Kane and Alan gave signals to the groups to go. They looked at each other, then opened the gates of the tunnels and slowly commenced their mission. Inside was wet, the walls had old white tiles, and the ground was covered with mud and dirt. The groups were slowly making their way, passing by stuck mini trucks and a couple of gates with broken locks, covered with rust. From time to time they would contact the others to see how they were progressing and comparing what they see. One by one, the groups reached their destinations and were ready to commence the operation. The first group was the one to start by taking care of the control center. Adonis tried to open the exit door but it was not possible. It had a rotating lock, which was stuck and was not moving. Two Dorgs came close and managed to open it with strength unknown to humans. This entrance was leading to underground canalization under the building. They entered quietly and according to the building plan started going up. Half of this place was filled with gasses and was not easy to breathe. They made their way through that passage and reached a door that was leading to the security level. Adonis slowly opened it and looked around. There was no one in the corridor. He asked everyone to stay put and wait for his signal. After he checked all corners, he called his group to follow him. The control center was supposed to be very close. Soon they spotted it at the end of the corridor. There were two men with a typical “Company” uniform standing in front of it. According to the plan, two ventilation shafts were ending just behind the center. Adonis signaled to two of the Dorgs to go through them and let him know when they were ready to strike. After he got the confirmation, Adonis came out from the corner where he was hiding and started walking towards the guards. Before they could react, the two Dorgs quietly neutralized them and hid the bodies into the ventilation system. The instructions were for minimal casualties only kill if necessary. Adonis took out his weapon and followed by the Dorgs stormed the control center. The rest of the group stayed outside. Inside four people were sitting behind their desks, monitoring the whole building. With their guns pointed at the employees, who had no other choice but to surrender, Adonis and the Dorgs took control of the command center. The four men were tied up next to the wall, when one of the Dorgs noticed that they were not humans. They taught that possibly the “Company” had developed new kind of creatures to replace the people. One of the captured spoke:
