  “How bad is it?”

  “Right now it's not bad, but it will, I just don't know when hell it’s going to break loose. When he's depressed you don't know what your going to get, but we do know one thing he's going to start making bad decisions.” That's not good at all. I'm worried about them both I don't know what we can do for them.

  “If there's anything I can do just let me know.”

  “Thank you that means a lot. My boys are going through a lot Logan is depressed because he left Storm and Tessa, Dalson is worried about Emma she hasn't send him a letter in awhile. James is doing alright he's worried about Logan and is trying to help him but there's not much for him to do, Paul is the only one that I'm not worried about he's happy he has his man and kids Paul doing good but he's still worried about his brothers.”

  “Of course he's worried about his brothers he just wants them to be happy.” She gives me a small smile. It's been a rough three months with Storm and Logan not on the same page, Emma is god knows where, dealing with the Shadow Devils who want to takeover it's just been so much shit going on you don't know what to do.

  “With time things will get better for our kids it's like a shitty game of wait and see.”

  “Shitty is right. You don't have to answer this but I was wondering how is everything going with that new MC?”

  “We are still nowhere there keeping a low profile right now plus is doesn't help that they are new and we don't know much about them. We know a little information but that's not going to stop us, they hurt one of my girls and there will be hell to pay for that.”

  “Damn straight.” I love the fact that she understands what needs to be done and she doesn't look at me differently. My phone buzzes I looked at the screen and I saw Joseph name pop up.

  Joseph- Hey I have a favor to ask of you. Elijah has been taken and I can really use the back up.

  Felix- Fuck yeah I'll bring the boys see you in a bit.

  “What's wrong?” Maxie ask with concerned.

  “Elijah has been taken. Joseph asked for back up I'm sorry sorry baby I have to cut this short I will make it up to you I promise.”

  “Don't worry about it go get that boy back, just drop me off at your compound I'll hang out with the girls and the kids.” She can't get more perfect than this she's so understanding and not complaining about anything. I drove us back to the compound I told the boys what I know. Before leaving I lean into Maxie and kisses her quickly before heading out. When I walked out of the compound the boys had big goofy grins on their faces.

  “It's about damn time dad.” They said in unison.

  “Yeah yeah yeah. Let's go we have a man to find.” We got on our bike and ride to the Dragons compound. When we got there Joseph was pacing, he turns his head and stops when he saw us.

  “Thanks for coming.”

  “Of course your family and when family needs help we will be there.” Devin says strongly.

  “We been dealing with a new MC that want to take over our territory.”

  “What the fuck is up with new MC’s wanting to take over shit that don't belong to them?” Rain says angrily.

  “I'm guessing we guys are as well.” Joseph says with irritation.

  “Yeah we are they hurt Rain’s girl and there will be hell to pay but right now it's about getting Elijah back safely.” I told Joseph.

  “I hope she's alright and those bastards will pay for what they did to her.”

  “Thanks man she's doing better she's all healed up now.” Rain says with a smile.

  “Glad to hear it. We have a location on them are you ready?” He ask.

  “Hell yeah let's get our brother back.” We said in unison.

  When we got to the enemy’s warehouse there were a lot of armed men.

  “I have two snipers that going to stay here and cover us we need to be quiet for a little there's a lot of men here, put the silencers on and let's get my brother back.” We all nod our heads and put the silencers on our guns.

  “Me and my boys will go around back you guys go through the front.”

  “Sounds good to me.” Joseph says, we nod our heads than start to move in towards the warehouse. We went to the back I shot the men on the corner while the boys shot at the guys by the door. I open the door and the boys start shooting, when we got in Joseph was running up the stairs and I followed behind him.

  “You go right I go left.” Joseph whispers to me. I nod my head and turn right. I shot three guys when I made that turn. So far so good nobody knows we're here and that’s a good thing there’s a lot more guys here than we thought. I open the first door and nothing. I start listening hoping to hear Elijah, I heard a muffle sound down the hall. Ran to the last door open it and I saw on of the men cutting him. I shot him first than the other two.

  “Damn Elijah what did they do to you?” He looks bad like he was jumped my ten guys. I cut the rope around his wrist than his ankles. I took the tape that was on his mouth off and he winced.

  “Man am I happy to see you Felix.” I smirked.

  “I bet you are.” Marco walks in with his gun drawn.

  “Wholy shit Elijah.”

  “Marco I never been more happier to see your gorgeous face.” Elijah says and Marco shakes his head as he helps me walk Elijah out the room. Walking back from where I came from Joseph run towards us.

  “Jesus what did those bastards do to you?” Joseph asks angily.

  “You guys please burn this place down and take me home.” He says in pain.

  “You got it.” Storm says.

  “Oh my god you guys don’t know how good it is to see you all.” Rain a thing of gas and put it all over the house. Storm gave Elijah the matches and he set off the fire.

  When we got him home Storm helped Joseph clean Elijah up. I take out my phone a send Erika a quick message.

  Felix- Elijah is safe and at home you don’t need to worry no more.

  Erika- Thank god. Thank you for helping to find him.

  Felix- It’s not a problem he’s family.

  “What’s wrong Storm you don’t look your happy self?” Elijah ask.

  “Logan and I are not on good term right now.”

  “I’m sorry to hear that. I hope things get better for the both of you, you guys are adorable.” After making sure everything was all good, the boys and I went home, I can’t wait to get home and relax.

  Maxie

  Helping Erika take the kids to bed the front door opens Devin and Felix walked in tired. I put Sam in his crib while Erika put Melissa in her bed. I walk back out and the boys were sitting on the couch.

  “How did everything go?” I ask.

  “Elijah is back home it's going to take some time for him to heal up, but he will be just fine as long as he takes it easy.” Felix says.

  “He will if knows what's best for him.” Erika says angering. She takes out her phone and sends a message I believe to Elijah.

  “Give him a break he got his ass handed to him he doesn't need you all over him right now.” Devin says. He grabs her hand and pulls her onto his lap.

  “Fine but someone needs to make sure he doesn't do nothing stupid.” Erika says with a worry tone.

  “Joseph has that taken care of.” Felix says as he grabs my hand and pulls me on to his lap.

  “You boys look tired you should get some rest.” I told them both.

  “That sounds like a good idea. Goodnight Maxie goodnight dad.”

  “Goodnight.” We said together. Felix took me back to the compound with him I wasn't expecting that, but you won't hear me complain about it.

  “Do you mind staying the night at the compound just for tonight?” He sounds nervous asking me and I thought it was cute that he got nervous asking me a simple question like that.

  “Not at all.” He grabs my hand and leads me to his bedroom. Once we laid down it didn't take long for us to fall asleep.

  It's been three days since the boys helped the Dragons get a member back and I haven't been over there since. Th
e last two days Brent has been following me around and I'm not going to give Felix more shit to worry about so I decided to handle things on my own. The boys have enough things to worry about between the new MC trying to take over, Dalson trying to find Emma with Erika’s help and Logan is depressed, to much shit is going on they don't need another problem to deal with. I walked into Logan’s room and he was sleeping I sighed. I don't know how to to help him his depression is in full swing now. For the last week all he's been doing is sleeping he barely eats anything this is going to be rough and I don't know how to help him. I slowly shut his door then walked out of the compound.

  “Mom did you check on Logan?” Dalson ask.

  “I did, he’s sleeping.” Dalson rubs his face with his hands.

  “I’ll keep an eye on him. I got a letter from Emma yesterday she says she’s doing well but it’s still not safe to come here.” I sighed heavily. There's no perfect time for her to come she just needs to get her ass here already.

  “I hope she comes here sooner rather than later.”

  “I highly doubt it but I do too mom. Have fun with Felix.” Dalson says with a smirk.

  “Go inside.” Dalson laughs as he walks towards the door. Driving to the Scorpion compound I notice a car following me and I know it’s Brent he’s really making me nervous. I pulled over at the closest parking lot and got out of my car. Brent got out of his car and he looks pissed for some reason.

  “What the fuck is your problem Brent?”

  “Your my problem.”

  “I haven’t done anything to you.”

  “You left me and you still trying to stay away from me.” He yells.

  “For a good reason. I left you because you got violent and I’m not going to put up with that. I don’t want you, go home.”

  “I’m not leaving without you.”

  “Yes you are. I’m not leaving my family and I don’t want you.” He slaps me and I punched him in his face. His nose starts to bleed.

  “Bitch you broke my nose.”

  “Good now stay away from me.” He grabs me and I start fighting him. I kicked him in his balls, as I’m about to get in my car I get hit in the back of the head and everything goes black.

  Slowly waking up my head is killing me, I looked down and I’m tied to a chair it’s not that tight so I can get out of them I just need to do it at the right moment.

  “Hey beautiful.”

  “You are going to pay for this.”

  “By who? Nobody is looking for you.” He says with a smirk and I just want to punch that smirk off his face.

  “Maybe not at this moment but they will and your going to wish you never came here.”

  “You really need to learn to respect people.” He takes out a knife and cuts both my arms. I bit my lip to muff any hisses I take in pain I won’t give him the satisfaction of hearing me in pain.

  “Now are you going to be good for me?”

  “Fuck off.” He lifts my shirt and starts making cuts all over my body. Brent leaves the room, I start messing with the rope trying to untie it. It shouldn’t take that long it’s not that tight. About five minutes later I’m free from the chair, I hear his footsteps I stayed in the chair making it look like I’m still tired to the chair.

  “Are you done being a little bitch?”

  “Go to hell you piece of shit.” He came out me and that’s when I made my move I got up smacked the knife out of his hand it fell to the floor I kicked him I grab the knife and stabbed him than ran as fast as I could with all the pain I was in. I got into his car and drove away. I know he’s still alive it wasn’t deep and he’s a tough bastard. I stopped the car then wiped off my fingerprints just in case he stole this car. I winced when I got out of the car. The last cut he did was deeper than the others and it hurts like a bitch. I put pressure on it and keep on walking towards the Scorpion’s compound.

  Felix

  I'm starting to get a worried Maxie was supposed to be here hours ago and I haven't heard anything from her at all since this morning. I grab my phone and send a message.

  Felix- Hey have you heard anything from your mother?”

  Dalson- Not since earlier isn't she with you?

  Felix- No she's not. I'm starting to worry that's why I message you hoping you heard something.

  I got up off the couch went to my room to grab my keys. I heard a crash and I ran out of my room.

  “Felix.” Maxie falls to the floor, I ran to her she's bleeding a lot and she has bruises on her face and body.

  “Maxie can you hear me baby?” She slowly nods her head.

  “Storm!” I yelled. He runs out and his eyes widen when he saw Maxie.

  “What happened? Please tell me this was not another Shadow Devils hit.” He says irritated.

  “It wasn't. Storm please call my boys let them know I'm okay, watch after Logan please he's not doing so well and with this he just might go a little overboard.” Maxie says softly.

  “Of course I’ll call them now.”

  I took Maxie to my room and Erika stitched her up once she was done her boys rushed in the room.

  “Mom are you okay? What happened? Who did this?”

  “Calm down boys please.”

  “Erika how is she?” Logan asks.

  “She will be fine she needs a lot of rest and plenty of liquids.” They nod their heads and they start to breathe again.

  “My ex boyfriend followed me here I broke up with him a year ago when he started to get violent. I thought I handled it two weeks ago but for the last three days he's been following me around and today I didn't keep my guard up I thought he was down for the count just enough time for me to get away but he hit me over the back of the head and I blacked out. He's not happy that I won't get back with him reason for the bruises and cuts but I got free. I knocked the knife out of his hand stabbed him and got out of there, he's still alive though I didn't have enough energy to finish the job so I just left and made my way here.”

  “Mom why didn't you tell us what was going on?” Logan says angrily.

  “There's a lot of shit going on right now and I didn't want to add another thing to the list of shit to worry about.” I shamed my head but I get where she's coming from.

  “Mom you should've told us no matter what's going on family always comes first.” Dalson says as he squeezed her hand. Storm is standing at the door looking at Logan worried.

  “What I don't understand is why didn't you tell me I'm the one that has nothing going on?” Logan says with irritation.

  “Sweetie that's not true and you know it, out of all boys you are the one I'm worried the most about.”

  “I'm fine mom there's nothing wrong.”

  “That's not true and you know it you might not admit to yourself but we all know what's going on with you, you can deny it all you want but we your family knows better.” Logan sighs then kisses Maxie’s forehead.

  “I'm sorry for making you worry, I promise things will get better.”

  “Can you do me a favor?” She says with a smile.

  “Of course mom.”

  “Stay with Storm tonight.”

  “Mom.”

  “Just for tonight it will help me not worry to much.” He sighs and nods his head.

  “Mom where did you leave him at?” Dalson asks. I would like to know that as well.

  “A warehouse five blocks from here.”

  “Felix we will take care of this one take care of her.”

  “I will.” Even though I want to deal with that bastard I know those boys need to handle this one. After they left I sit next to her.

  “Thanks for letting them take care of him.”

  “I know it's something they need to do. So what are you trying to play at asking Logan to stay with Storm for the light?” I ask curiously.

  “They both need it plus I asked Storm to keep an eye on him. Logan he's not doing good he's depressed and I'm worried he makes bad decisions when he's depressed and we don't know what is going to happen.�

  “I see your point hopefully it will help him come back to his senses.”

  “I hope so too, Felix. Do you mind if I stay the night?”

  I laugh.

  “I wasn't letting you leave anyways.” I told her. She laughs and winces.
