Glorious Sinner: A Lawless Kings Novella

I pounded into her harder, faster. “I can’t hold on,” I gritted out.

Her mouth tore from mine and she cried out, her inner walls squeezing my dick so hard my head spun. I grunted, slamming in deep, grinding my hips into hers, chanting her name, and came so hard my head was spinning.

When we both finally came down, I turned off the water, lifted her out of the shower, and carried her to the bed. I quickly dried her off. “Climb in.”

She did, and I got in behind her and pulled her into my arms. She turned so she was facing me, hugging me back just as tight.

She pressed a kiss to my shoulder. “How was I walking, talking…” She shook her head. “How was I breathing without you?”

  “Steph…”

She lifted my hand and kissed my knuckles. “You’re my oxygen, Tomas.”

Fuck. My angel knew how to destroy me with just a handful of words. I had none, none that could ever adequately express the way I felt about her.

  So I kissed her.

  I showed her.

  Three months later

I sat at my usual table at Stilettos. I came in whenever Stephanie worked, only a couple of times a week now. I hung out, worked. Mainly, I watched her. I didn’t love that other men got to see her beautiful body, but that was my issue, not hers. She wasn’t giving lap dances anymore; she was strictly on stage only. She was fine with that. Steph just liked to dance, and I lived to make her happy.

Which was why I’d asked her to be my wife.

I was still waiting for an answer. Yes, I’d asked her to think about it before she made her decision, not because she might have doubts, but because maybe marriage wasn’t something she wanted again. I wanted her to take my name—I could admit that—and yeah, a week with no answer had me more than a little antsy, but I understood the hesitation.

It fucking stung, but I got it.

I saw her walking toward me through the crowd and I ate up the sight of her like I always did. She leaned in when she reached me, her beautiful mouth brushing my ear. “I’m up next. Make sure you stay right where you are.” She was grinning when she lifted her head, then she winked at me, and strode away again.

I leaned over to Raul, who was sitting beside me with his woman, Fay. “What’s she up to?”

  He shrugged. “No idea.”

  Fay just grinned.

There were a bunch of questions on the tip of my tongue, but I forgot them as the room went dark, all the lights dipping for several seconds.

The room went silent, and I shot to my feet, fear slicing through me.

I was about to storm the club in search of Stephanie when a single light hit the stage and she walked out. She was dressed in one of my black pinstriped suit jackets, with one of my white shirts underneath. Her long legs were bare, leading the eye to sexy black heels.

A black-brimmed hat was on her head, tipped forward, obscuring her face, and her beautiful red hair was down and wild around her shoulders.

The sound of her heels clicking on the shiny black stage rang out in the now silent club as she made her way to the center.

The song started and my gut tightened as a woman’s voice rang out, filling the club.

She kept her head down and slowly undid her borrowed jacket, sliding it off her shoulders and letting it fall to the floor. She was left in only my shirt. It swamped her body and, fuck me, was the sexiest thing I’d ever seen. Stephanie knew how much I loved her wearing my shirts.

The way she moved had my mouth going dry, and finally she lifted her head, her eyes finding me where she knew I’d be, where I always was when she was on that stage. She threw off the hat and I took a step closer, unable to stay where I was another moment. I walked right up to the edge of the stage. Fuck, there was no one else in the room.

Her eyes found mine and locked on as she worked the buttons on the shirt, letting it fall to the floor as well. She stood there in only a delicate pair of white lace panties and a white tank knotted at her waist. With a small smile, she took to the pole, performing a routine I’d never seen before. She was amazing. So fucking perfect.

As the song drew to an end, I crooked my finger at her.

Her face was flushed and her eyes were bright, but she stayed where she was and turned away slowly. Her hair reached halfway down her back and I watched as she reached around and pulled it forward.

On the back of her shirt in gold lettering was Mrs Mendoza.

I sucked in a sharp breath, heart fucking pounding as she spun back, moved to me instantly, and jumped into my arms. She wrapped herself around me and the room erupted into cheers as I carried her away, heading backstage.

The changing room was empty and I kicked the door closed and flicked the lock, pressing her against it, then I kissed her, devouring her gorgeous mouth.

“Yes?” I said against her lips. “You’ll be my wife?”

“I wanted to give you your answer in a way you’d never forget.” She grinned up at me. “Did you like it?”

“Like it?” I rasped, my throat getting tight. “You just made me the happiest man alive.”

Her smile grew wider. “It has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Mrs. Mendoza.”

“Sounds perfect to me.” I stared down at her. “Jesus, you were amazing up there.”

Her fingers were at the back of my neck, her nails lightly grazing my skin the way she knew I liked. “That was my last dance.”

I frowned. “You sure about that? I know how much you need it.”

“I don’t need it anymore,” she said, gazing into my eyes. “I don’t need to lose myself, and I don’t need to check out. I want to spend my life with my eyes wide open, with you.”

I had to clear my throat to fucking speak. “Do you have any idea how happy it makes me to hear you say that, that I gave that to you?”

Her eyes got bright. “I have a pretty good idea.” She licked her lips. “I have more news.”

  “Yeah? What’s that, Angel?”

“Willa’s expanding her salon and she offered me a job running reception.”

“Did she?” Fuck, the look on her face. I loved seeing her so happy.

“She also asked if I wanted to go in with her on the expansion. We’d be partners. It’d be my business as well.” Her face lit up like a goddamn sunrise.

“You like that idea?” Anything that made my angel happy was a good idea as far as I was concerned.

  “Yes. Do you?” she asked.

“I love it.” I grinned. “Can’t you feel how happy I am?”

She rolled her sexy hips against mine. “Oh, I feel it. What I want to know is are you going to do anything about it?”

Her lush tits were pressed against my chest, the heat of her pussy snug against my hard cock. Yeah, I was going to do something about it. “What do you think?” I said, so close our mouths brushed. “Free my cock.” Her hands slid between us and she did as I asked. “Now, slide your panties aside.”

As soon as she did, I slid home, nice and deep. I fucked her hard and fast, taking her like she needed, like I needed, kissing her when she screamed my name, swallowing her cries then fed her my own.

“You’re the best thing that ever happened to me—the beat of my heart. You know that, don’t you, pretty girl?” I said when I had my breath back.

She smiled up at me with her heart-stopping smile, eyes bright. “And you brought mine back to life.”
