I slowly shook my head, in awe of his thought process and his ability to obsessively focus on sex while still being very aware of everything else happening.

“Twenty minutes, and I’m yours,” I said, anticipation shooting through me.

As soon as everything was finished, I plated dinner and carried it upstairs with Tor stalking behind me. And if I’d forgotten the direction of his thoughts, he thoroughly reminded me by smoothing his hands over my hips with each step I took. When I reached the hallway, he stopped me, pressing his erection into my back as he wrapped his arms around me to fondle my breasts through my shirt.

“Are you very hungry, my June?” he asked, the question rumbling against the side of my neck where he trailed kisses.

“Let me put this plate down, and I’ll show you how hungry I am.”

He growled, his hips arching into me briefly before he released his hold. I could feel him behind me as I hurried into the room and set the plate on the dresser. The moment it was out of my hands, he picked me up and tossed me onto the bed.

I laughed as I bounced. That laughter died, though, as he fell onto me like a starved man. He had my pants off in seconds and buried his face between my legs, inhaling deeply.

“I thought of this all day.” He kissed me there, then rid me of the thin barrier. There were no more words after that. Only long licks and rumbles of satisfaction. I was panting and making small sounds of my own.

He growled and used his fingers to prepare me. My core clenched around him at the first touch. I knew what was coming, and that only made my need climb higher and faster. He’d barely inserted the third finger before I came apart with a gasp, falling into the abyss. The pace of his wicked tongue slowed in time with the waves of pleasure pulsing through me.

Sighing, I ran my fingers through his hair and played with his ears. He grunted and placed a light kiss on my clit before rising to fetch the plate.

  “Eat, my June.”

While I struggled to hold the fork, he stripped off his clothes and settled his shoulders between my legs again. The tender kisses he placed on my inner thighs graduated to light nips. My insides clenched even as I struggled to focus on eating.

I tried to put the plate aside, but he wouldn’t let me. Crawling up my body, his muscles temptingly undulating with each move, he insisted I hadn’t had enough. He fed me a bite then dipped his head to take my nipple into his mouth.

The slow assault was killing me. How was I supposed to eat? There was no way.

I swallowed and let my head fall back to arch into his mouth.

“I can eat later,” I said. “Please, Tor.”

He grunted and took the plate from my hand, setting it to the side before returning to his favorite spot between my legs.

“Once more,” he said. He held my gaze as he leaned down and circled my clit with his tongue. “No screaming.”

“I’m not a screamer. Never have been.”

He grinned wickedly at me. “The noises you make tell me you are, my June. You’re only waiting for the right moment. That is not tonight, though.”

The warning barely registered as he lapped at my core, drinking me in with long curling strokes of his tongue. I gripped his head, pushing and holding him in place at the same time.

He teased me, bringing me to the edge, one finger at a time, until he gave my clit a final kiss and withdrew. In the room’s fading light, his gaze held mine as he positioned himself above me.

“Will you tell me if it’s too much?”

  “It won’t be,” I said.

He looked doubtful and tipped his head to look down between us. I did the same and watched him position his thick cock at my entrance. He eased in, one inch at a time. I clenched around him, still tender from last night’s use, but it felt too good to tell him to stop.

After a few shallow strokes, he fully seated himself with a growl and lifted his head.

  “My June,” he said tenderly.

I peppered kisses across his face and arched up to meet his careful thrusts.

“I won’t break, Tor. You can go a little faster.”

He grunted, slipped a hand under my hip to change the angle, and picked up speed. I climbed higher. Reaching for that long tumble.

Before I could get there, he clasped a hand over my mouth and stopped moving, buried to the hilt.

“Stay here, my June. I will be right back.”

He kissed me lightly and gave one more quick thrust before he left me spread out and alone on the bed.

Pulse racing, I lifted my head and watched him slip from the room.

It was then that I heard the murmur of voices downstairs.

  Chapter Twenty-Two

My gaze darted to the windows. It was barely dusk. The realization that the men had already come sent a jolt of panic through me. Before I could move, I heard a series of thuds and rustles of noise. Then, there was silence.

When Tor suddenly reappeared, I almost screamed.

“You are safe, my June,” he said, striding to the bed.

My mouth fell open when he climbed back onto the bed and reached between us to position himself. I pressed both hands against his shoulders. He paused and looked at me with a heated gaze.

  “What’s going on?” I demanded.

He blinked at me, glanced down at the hand he had wrapped around himself then back at me.

  “We are having sex?”

“No, we are not. We were having sex, and then you left. I heard noises downstairs. What happened?”

“The men came to take your food. Vorx and Turik helped me put them to sleep. They will watch them for us. We will take them to Matt as soon as you and I are finished.” He nudged my entrance, sliding in an inch before I pushed at his shoulders again. He immediately stopped and gave me a puzzled look.

“Should I lick your pussy some more?”

I sputtered as I tried to process everything that was wrong in this moment. His gaze shifted to concern, and he immediately withdrew.

“I hurt you. June, my heart. Forgive me.” He shifted us so we were both lying on our sides and he had me cradled in his arms. “I thought your beautiful pussy would remain wet and ready. I didn’t—”

He blinked at the sudden press of my hand over his mouth.

“Tor, I love you. And I need you to be quiet for a minute.”

“You love me?” he mumbled behind my hand. I could tell by the look in his eyes that I was about to lose him.

“Stop.” He stilled. Confusion clouded his gaze.

“Just listen for a minute. Okay?”

He grunted, and I removed my hand.

“You didn’t hurt me. Yes, I love you. No, we’re not picking up right where we left off. We are not having sex when there are people in the house. Please don’t talk about doing things to my private parts when there are other people around. I find it embarrassing. Now, you can talk.”

“Hannah and Merdon have sex with Emily in the house. Vorx and Turik will not care. And why can I not talk about your sweet pussy or your beautiful breasts around others but I can talk about your pretty eyes and your soft, silky hair? They are all parts of the female I love so much it hurts to breathe when I am not touching you.” He dipped his head and trailed kisses along my jaw. “Everyone should know why you are the best female on the planet.”

His hand stroked over my hip, and I rolled my eyes.

“You know what? You’re right. There’s no reason you can’t talk about all my parts. But we’re not having sex right now, Tor.” I slipped from his hold and stood. “I need to know who showed up and if there are still more people we need to find.”

His expression was pure, disgruntled disappointment as he looked from me to the erection jutting from between his legs. Slowly, he wrapped a hand around himself and winced.

“You’ll live,” I said, already grabbing my clothes and tugging my shirt on.

“I will live,” he agreed. “Walking will be difficult.”

“Nice try. You beat up in
truders without a problem. I think you can manage a few steps.”

He grunted, released himself, and stood. But he didn’t get dressed. His hungry gaze zeroed in on my untethered breasts as I gave a quick jump to pull up my jeans. I didn’t miss the way he clasped a hand around himself and winced again.

“I promise I’ll make it up to you,” I said, feeling a little sorry for him. I told him I loved him, but I wasn’t really acting like it.

“Now? Three strokes in your pussy is all I need to make you scream and give you my Mr. Happy juice.”

I shrieked, part laugh and part disbelief.

  “Your what?”

  He frowned at me.

“My baby batter? My love liquid? My scream cream?”

I kept shaking my head to each offered term.

“You know that’s not what it’s really called.”

“Yes, it is. Angel says those are the fun names for my seed and women like hearing the fun names. It makes them happy.” He flashed me a sly smile. “Maybe happy enough for a quick ride on my pony express?”

“Angel and I are going to have a long talk,” I said, heading for the door. He was right on my heels.

“She said my pickup game was strong.”

“Are you going to put on clothes?”

“No. Pants will hurt. Besides, I like when you look at my cock with hunger in your eyes.”

Since I was leading the way down the stairs, he knew I wasn’t looking at him. But darn if I didn’t glance his way when my gaze swept the living room for our would-be assailants. Tor smirked at me. I shook my head and focused on the four men slumped on the couch and the two fey standing over them.

  “Are they unconscious?” I asked.

Vorx and Turik shared a look that worried me.

“Are they breathing?” I asked, instead.

“Yes,” Turik answered. “Matt showed me how to check on the last batch of humans.”

I cautiously edged closer to the couch and peered at their faces. Nat wasn’t there.

“This isn’t all of them,” I said softly.

The three fey grunted, and I considered what we should do.

“Did you see anyone else?” I asked.

  Both shook their heads.

“It’s early yet. There’s four of them, one of me, and not a lot of supplies to gather up. I’m guessing someone will come looking when they don’t show up in the next hour to two. Let’s leave the lights off and see if we can’t get a few more.”

The fey agreed then bound and gagged the men so they wouldn’t be able to raise an alarm if they woke.

“It would be safer if you waited upstairs, June,” Turik said.

Nodding, I told the fey to be careful and started for the stairs. Tor silently followed and closed the bedroom door behind us. I turned to give him a curious look. The unchanged state of his arousal told me his intent.

“Can fey hear through closed doors?” I asked.

He palmed my breast, kneading it with his big hand before rolling the nipple between his fingers.

  “I will be very quiet.”

As he tugged my shirt over my head, I briefly wondered how often in our relationship he would get his way. I grasped his thick length and stroked it firmly, enjoying his hissed inhale. Probably as often as I got mine, I decided, sinking to my knees.

An hour and two orgasms later, I fell onto Tor’s chest, a puddle of loose muscle, as he continued to arch into me. With a groan, he came again. I think we were tied now. Four to four. I ached in the best possible way as he washed my insides anew, and smirked when I thought of his Mr. Happy juice.

His hand stroked my back while he continued to pulse and twitch within me. I loved how big he was and that I could feel every inch of him. Funny how things changed.

  “Are you tired, my June?”

  “Aren’t you?”

The unwavering hardness filling me answered that question.

“I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to face Vorx and Turik again,” I mumbled against his chest.

  “Why not?”

“We haven’t stopped since we came up here.” I lifted my head to look down at Tor. “Isn’t this rude? You said you all want women of your own. Isn’t having sex where they can hear like rubbing it in their faces?”

“No. My brothers are truly happy for those of us who have found females of our own. Hearing you with me gives them hope that there is a female waiting for them. And now, they will know what true happiness sounds like.”

I buried my head against his chest. I wasn’t naïve enough to believe the culture I grew up with was the only “right” way to behave. Public nudity hadn’t been frowned upon in many parts of the world. And there had probably been many cultures with family-unit living where sex would have been heard. It was just hard to set aside what I knew and the shame that tried to pull me under at going against what I’d been taught.

“Rest, June,” Tor said. “We can have more sex when we are home and no one can hear.”

Lifting my head, I gave him a tender kiss.

“I love you, and you love me. There’s no shame in sharing that love with each other behind closed doors. As long as they don’t mind, I don’t mind either.”

Tor gave me a heated look, his hands sliding down to grip my butt tightly as he ground into me.

“I have no words to describe how I feel when I look at you,” he said.

  “Desperate?”

He nodded and withdrew enough to thrust up into me.

  “Obsessed?”

His agreement was more adamant, and I grinned. My next suggestion was cut short when he rolled us, pinning me under him.

“Quiet, my June,” he said softly. “More men are here.”

  My eyes widened.

He grinned at me and kissed me ravenously. And I didn’t just let him. I kissed him back. By the time he pulled away, I was breathless and considering rolling my hips. He made the decision for me, though, by withdrawing.

  “I will be back.”

Like last time, he disappeared downstairs without putting any clothes on. There were a few grunts and some scuffling before everything quieted once more. I didn’t wait for Tor to reappear before hurrying for my pants.

“You can come down now,” he called, surprising me.

What surprised me more when I rejoined them was Shelby, Nat’s wife. Unlike the men who were all unconscious, she stood silently crying between Vorx and Turik. All three fey watched me expectantly. Their gazes darted between me and Shelby, who was watching the floor at her feet. Was that due to guilt or Tor’s nudity?

I decided it didn’t matter and went to check the faces of the newcomers. Her husband lay among them.

“The fey don’t want to hurt anyone,” I said, facing her. “They only knocked these men out to prevent them from hurting me.”

She nodded and quietly sniffled. The tears weren’t coming fast. The slow trails were more resignation than fear or panic.

“Is anyone else going to come? Or is this everyone willing to steal food at the risk of exile?”

She dropped her head a little more but not enough to hide her pained expression.

  “This is everyone.”

  “Why are you here?”

“He wanted a lookout.” She lifted her head. “He knew something was wrong when the others didn’t come back. He meant to beat you like he did your man and shoot whatever fey he found trespassing.” She swallowed hard and glanced at Turik. “My husband’s words. Not mine.”

Turik looked like he wanted to comfort her. And maybe he was right to want to. She didn’t strike me as the violent type. More of the domestically abused type. But her fate wasn’t for me to decide. That was in Matt’s hands.

“Go get Matt,” I said to Turik. “Don’t let anyone see you, okay?”

He grunted and reluctantly tore his gaze from Shelby. She didn’t watch him leave or she would have seen how he’d looked back three times. I glanced at Tor.

  “Matt might need your assistance
carrying these guys wherever he wants them. You’d make a better impression on the people here if you had clothes on while you helped.”

Tor flashed his teeth at me and stalked closer.

“It will be painful, but for you and my brothers, I will force Mister Boopsy into pants.”

“Nope. You don’t get to call it that.”

“Would you like to name it?”

“You’re stalling. Go put pants on, Tor.”

“Tell me if she looks at my tight backside,” he said to Vorx before winking at me and strutting his way upstairs.

I shook my head, watching him with a smirk like I knew he intended.

“I thought you were with a human,” Shelby said hesitantly.

“I was. But it didn’t work out.” I gave a small shrug. “It happens sometimes.”

The look she gave me was full of understanding.

“I’m glad you got away then.”

Her comment revealed so much about her relationship with her husband.

“Why don’t you sit down? It might take Matt a while to get here. Are you hungry?” She shook her head, but I was already moving to grab a bag of chocolate candies I’d found. The festive red and green colors had probably been intended for some kind of holiday baking. Comfort food was comfort food, though, no matter the form.

I held up the bag and lifted my brow. Shoulders slumped in defeat, she resolutely sat.

“I’m not angry,” she said, watching me open the bag. “You don’t need to feed me.”

“Why would I think you’re angry?”

“Because I was caught helping them try to steal food and hurt you. I know I’ll be kicked out now. It’s not your fault. I made my own choices.”

I took a handful of candy and pushed the whole bag toward her. She needed it more than I did.

“Sometimes the choices we make are the ones we feel obligated to make.” As I said it, I thought of Adam and his blind insistence to leave me. How he’d thought he wasn’t enough to keep me safe.

“I don’t think your husband was a good man and can’t imagine he was ever kind to you. But you’re right; you made your own choice not to stand up to him. You also chose to be nice to me when we were out on supply runs, and while you might have been here when they hurt Adam, I doubt you laid a hand on either of us. Because of all of those actions, I don’t hold a grudge that you’re here tonight.
