Rescue Me

“What do say we get out of here?” I reached for her hands across the table, cupping them over hers taking in the warmth from her fresh coffee.

“I thought you’d never ask, Rumson.” Colbie gave me a saucy wink, and I settled our bill leaving a hefty tip for Tempest.

We headed toward Chelsea Piers for the batting cages after we stopped at Colbie’s apartment. She grabbed a sweatshirt and a baseball cap after tying her hair back in a ponytail that begged to be tugged. I settled for wrapping my hand with hers in a protective grip, and she smiled the whole walk there.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” she quipped.

“I want if you want.” My goal was to spend time with her. I didn’t care what we did, but this seemed like a good idea unless she hated baseball. I think I’d die if she hated baseball, so I had to ask. “You like baseball, right?” She paused, and I felt a niggling sense of worry. I was not going to pull a Seinfeld and drop her for this one thing.

Shrugging, she said, “Who doesn’t love baseball?” She bumped into me playfully, and I let out a deep breath.

We looked at each other for a moment and both said, “Rita.” As if my ex was a curse word before we howled laughing. I wasn’t in the market to make Rita the butt of our jokes, but she definitely played into this one.

Chuckling, she squeezed my hand leaning into me. “Well, I don’t want you to worry. I know a little bit about the game, maybe enough to play.”

“Thank goodness,” I murmured, leaning down to kiss the shit out of her on the street right in front of the field house before booking us an hour slot to swing bats at balls in a cage.

Colbie should have told me from the get go that she not only played the game, but her high school won their state group two years in a row, and she batted damn well. Heck, had I taken a good look at her hat I would have seen Roosevelt High Softball Champions embroidered on the brim. Some trained observer I turned out to be, completely distracted by everything Colbie. Watching her bat felt like a privilege each time the machine popped out a ball, and she smiled, cracking the bat against it and watching it fly off hitting the cage’s back net with skills that had to have been honed over years of playing the game.

“You’re a she-devil, Colbie. Remind me never to place a bet against you without having all the information at hand.”

“Awe, come on, Rumson, you would have found out soon enough when we had the PBA softball tournament.” She smiled, exiting the cage, swinging the bat playfully.

“Uh huh. I think I would have hung out just to see you in some tight white pants for that.”

“Stick around long enough and you might. I have an old pair in my closet back at my place.”

“No sexy elves dancing on them?” I teased.

“Nope, but the seam rides my crack nicely with thongs,” she quipped.

“Jesus, you’re killing me here,” I muttered.

“Hey, you said you’re a visual guy.” She tipped her cap at me saucy-like.

“Indeed, I did.” If she liked dressing up, I bet she’d make an interesting Harley Quinn. I looked forward to suggesting it for our station Halloween party.

Where had Colbie been hiding all my life?

Date number two ended with dirty water dogs and burnt cold pretzels from a cart near her place. Nothing showy but we dabbed mustard on each other’s noses and got smiles from a couple that had to have at least thirty years on us, and it felt good. I think it was safe to say we were planning on ending this date tonight in each other’s arms. Nothing had ever felt this good or right before, and I wasn’t letting it go.

“Slow this time,” I murmured against her neck, pulling up her top and exposing her skin inches at a time. Each inhale I tugged it higher, holding it on the exhale and teasing her.

Her hand cupped my dick, tracing her nail over the ridge pressing painfully against my jeans and the zipper. I rolled into her and then gently moved her grabby hands away. None of that for my girl right now, or I wouldn’t last as long as I planned. There was a method to my madness, and she was upsetting my mojo by being impatient.

“Damn it, Theo,” she groused. I loved the hissy, grumpy tone of her voice begging without saying what she wanted. Of course, we could have torn each other’s clothing off, but why rush?

For the last twelve hours of our date I wanted to drag this encounter out as much as possible. I wanted to be drunk off the endorphins of having her under me, thrusting inside her so that my sex hangover lasted well into Wednesday of next week.

“I like when you curse me out, Colbie.” My favorite dispatcher had a dirty mouth. She had a lot of dirty going on for the sweet person she was, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

“Fuck me.” Her filthy tone demanded I do just that, and I halted her rush by stopping her hands from reaching for my jeans again. I’d dry hump her first and exhaust the fight out of her so I could go to town on the rest of her hungry, wet body for the remaining twelve hours until we had to show up for work tomorrow. Hernandez had already texted me about her car still sitting in the precinct parking lot. Nosy rookie.

“I will, but first I’m going to taste every inch of your body.”

She groaned pitifully. “You’re going to think I’m a mouthy shrew by the time you do all that.”

“I already know you’re a loud filthy girl, and I like it. But this is for me. I’ll get you there. In fact, if you want to come multiple times, that’s fine too; right now, this is mine.”

“You’re upset I kicked your ass in the batting cages, aren’t you?” I was just a tad, but that was the competitive side of me. I didn’t care that she actually beat me. Colbie was the equivalent of a pool shark with a bat. Of course, now she tells me I missed her trophy because we’d tossed our clothes over it in her apartment last night.

“I hear a pout in your voice.”

“Then you better turn this frown upside down.”

“Challenge accepted.” I led Colbie over to my bed and stripped the rest of her clothes off slowly, leaving her in her bra only because I was impatient myself this time. I laid back and guided her to sit her musky sweet center over my mouth that watered to taste her.

“Who’s the filthy one now, Sergeant?”

“You’ll be singing a different tune in a moment, sweetheart.” I positioned her over my face and commenced licking her deep and parting her slick lips over mine. She wiggled and squealed as I kept up a relentless pace. Maybe if I exhausted her, she’d lie still enough for me ride her for hours. I’d start here and see how things progressed. Her low moans and fingernails clawing my headboard were an indication that I was on the right track to taking her long and as slow as it suited me later.

“You’re evil,” she whimpered, and I let my tongue respond to her comment by rolling it around her clit and sucking it gently along with the barest penetrations of her with my thumb, grazing her inner wall.

Slow and steady was going to win this race as her hips found a relaxed rhythm, rocking over my chin. My hand reached up to cup her lace clad breasts and squeezed until she was pulling the cups down, tangling her arms in silky straps and grumbling.

“Don’t you laugh. Don’t you dare. You just wait until I get my lips around your cock, mister.”

I stopped licking and sucking to give her a verbal reply. “I’m waiting with baited breath, Colbie.”

Her hand slapped my shoulder, and I resumed my mission of drinking up her juices and letting them coat her thighs. She got louder and breathier until she couldn’t hold herself up, quivering her release.

“Mine,” I said, flipping our positions. I rolled a condom down my shaft and entered her in a slow stroke until my dick bottomed out, and my balls rested against her ass.

“Oh my god.” Colbie’s nails resumed their spot in my shoulders like a kitten in water. I moved with slow precision, savoring the shift in her internal muscles clenching and rippling. Someday I’d do this sans condom, but for tonight, I felt her tight pussy squeeze me mercilessly, and her mouth formed
an O in soundless wonder as I fucked the sense out of her.

“That’s my girl. Take it deep. Oh yeah, I love your cunt milking me with each little breath you make.” I spoke dirty, filthy things to her that could get us fired from our jobs if we ever said them over the radio. I told her how much I looked forward to breaching her tight asshole when she was ready and how I’d play with her clit, letting her soak the bedding while I rocked inside of her. I’d hold her down and make her take my shots of cum and then watch it leak out of her. I’d save it for a night we had to work early so I could fill her up before and put her panties on right after. She’d be filled with me, my load leaking out of her until the end of the shift like a hot mess reminding her she was mine.

“You better hope I don’t forget we’re at work.” She groaned in rigid ecstasy, coming again and again, her voice hoarse and sexy. I’d love hearing it tomorrow over dispatch, knowing I’d done it to her.

  Colbie

What do you do when the best weekend of your life ends and you kiss the man on the steps of the precinct where you both work?

You take the hoots and hollers in stride.

“Something you kids want to tell us?” Hernandez stood in the hallway with a smug shit-eating grin on his face as if I didn’t know he’d texted Theo about my car not even twelve hours earlier. He was such a pain in the ass, but a good friend that you kind of had to forgive him.

“Cut the shit, rookie.” Theo fake punched him in the gut, and a smiling Hernandez gave me a nod. The people I worked with were like family leaving us to spend so much time together enmeshed in each other’s business.

I cleared my throat, which remained raw from last night’s activities. “Someone get bored doing parking enforcement last night?” I teased.

“Nah, I left that for Hudson. Seemed like the least likely thing he’d fuck up.” Hernandez chuckled. We all agreed the guy was a mess and hoped he figured himself out before he caused his own internal investigation.

“Rumson. Hernandez,” Lieutenant called, and we all looked up. The man had a knack for being where you least wanted him. He shook his head, and we scattered from the hall. Theo and I walked down toward the communication center where I needed to clock in.

“So, I’ll see you later, darling?” Theo backed me into the room that was luckily empty shutting the door to give us a hot second of privacy.

“Yeah. You be safe out there.” I pulled him in for a kiss, and he obliged. His hands went to my hips, and I swayed into his embrace.

“I’ve got a reason to be safe.”

“What’s that?” I asked, feeling my cheeks heat and my heart pitter patter softly amid the beeps and whirs of the communication panel that lit up in the familiar blue light of the computer screen. His smile made me feel like I was expanding and floating at the same time.

“White pants, darling. You promised me white pants, remember?” His smile took over his whole face, and I swore the man glowed at the idea of me in those pants.

“How could I forget? I kicked your ass in the cage.” I pulled his shirt none too gently, forcing him in for another kiss. I would happily wear white pants everyday if I got this kind of reception.

“I’ll order take out tonight. My place?” he asked, and I nodded.

“You know where to find me, Sergeant Rumson.”

His chest vibrated with a chuckle. “I know, and now I have to remember to behave on the radio.”

“10-4,” I whispered against his lips, pushing him out the door so he wasn’t late for his own shift. The Lieutenant had it out for all of us, and there was no point in poking the bear.

It wasn’t long before Theo and I found a new apartment that held fresh memories for both of us. We couldn’t stand the long stretches where our schedules were on the opposite rotations because it meant not seeing each other for over a week, sometimes two.

We enjoyed playing house. I dragged him to Ikea and he made a display case for my softball trophies. Needless to say, our closet had a special rack where my white pants hung ready to go on date night or any night of the week he was feeling sporty. I guess dressing up was our secret kink.

On our six month anniversary, I surprised him with a golden Labrador puppy we named Badge. He grew fast and had tons of energy requiring us both to walk him like crazy. Not to be outdone, Theo surprised me with an unexpected baby, a little girl we named Alessandra. The wedding stuff came much later when we were good and ready. By that time, Theo finally made Detective and we considered looking for an even bigger apartment to house our growing family. The Lieutenant eventually retired finding a condo in Florida. He learned how to use social media and posted pics of sunshine and palm trees teasing the rookies.

Hernandez… well, he happily took over the red pen duty.
