  Chapter 8

  Owen

She left, and I don’t know how I’m going to make it the next couple of months without her. Casey wants to play it cool and pretend that she wants time for us and I’m giving her that as best as I can. The second she ran away the first time, I knew I had to have patience.

She may not be ready to admit it, but she loves me. Casey mutters it in her sleep every single night. Nothing in my life has ever felt as magnificent as when she utters those three words so freely.

I’m going to let her get away with a week without me and see how she’s doing then. I want her to know what her denials have felt like. She gave me her body willingly even to the point that we haven’t used one form of protection. Casey’s probably attending her last weeks of class carrying my baby, and yet she’s holding back from me.

I’ve already planned ahead for the next two weeks, but I’ll cancel every meeting or project I have to, to be with her when she needs me and I sure as fuck will be there when she graduates.

“Damn, boss. Stop looking like you’ve lost everything. The guys are worried that you’re going to jump off the edge of the unfinished building,” Mike jokes halfheartedly. I can see he’s concerned.

“I miss her. I love her, you know that, right?”

“Of course, I do. She’s easy to love, but hey, she’ll be back. She’s finishing school not running off with some other dude.”

“Easy for you to say. Try being without the woman who makes you feel insanely happy.” Mike scoffs like there’s something to my words. I wonder what’s going on with him, but I didn’t want to turn the worksite into a fucking soap opera. I need work done so I can make time for Casey.

  ****

Grit and effort get me through the first week without her. We hardly talk because she’s off working her part-time job and studying while I’m working into the night. It’s dark by the time I get home every night, but it’s what I’ve got to do to be with her.

I hit the shower, washing off another day’s worth of grime and feel the ache in my muscles. It’s the hardest I’ve worked in five years.

Once I turn off the water, I hear the phone. I barely wrap a towel around my waist and jump out of the shower to get my phone. “Hey, honey. How’s it going?”

“Good. I’ve just finished my last twenty-page paper.” She pauses and asks softly, “Um…how are you?”

“Missing my woman. I just got out of the shower.”

  “Shower?”

“Yes, it’s this invention where water comes out from a sprayer that’s attached to a pipe in a wall.”

“Hahaha. Fucker. That’s not what I meant. I mean…well…are you going out?”

“No. Honey, I busted my ass at work, actually hands-on building. Now, I need one really fucking bad.” I take a whiff of myself, and for a brief moment, I’m glad she’s far away.

“Oh,” she stammers. And this is what makes long distance relationships not work fears and jealousy. I can’t let that happen.

“Honey, I’m not fucking anyone else. Okay. I’m not going anywhere but to bed. I don’t even have the energy to eat.”

“But you need to eat. You worked hard today,” she exclaims. And there’s my sweet, caring woman back. Fuck, I love her.

“I love the way you worry about me. I’ll eat a heavy breakfast.” I didn’t miss the gasp she released when I said love, but when I tell her, I want to see her face. “Are you going to get some sleep?”

“Yeah, I have one more class this week. It feels like forever.

“I know. I miss you. Get some rest. I’ll call you tomorrow.” I look over at my packed suitcase. Yes, I’ll call her tomorrow, but I’ll be closer to her much closer.

  Chapter 9

  Casey

I finish class, feeling miserable instead of thrilled. I should be happy because I’m done with this one. In the next two weeks, I finish my other two classes and then I have a month of nothing to do but get ready to graduate—paperwork and packing. Damn, I don’t even know if I’m still moving back home. I just want to be with Owen. He hasn’t answered any of my messages since he texted me good morning.

David, a classmate of mine, smiles and walks with me out of the building. “Don’t look so disappointed. Is it because you’re going to miss me? We don’t have to let this connection end.”

“You do if you want to live,” a voice warns him. It’s the voice of my manly beast that I’ve grown to need.

“Owen?” I hurry down the stairs and jump into his arms. “I can’t believe you’re here.” I sob and giggle, kissing his face.

“Surprise.” He kisses me hard as fuck. I’m guessing it’s because of stupid David who never spoke a handful of words to me all semester opened his dumb mouth. He pulls his mouth away from mine and growls out, “Who the fuck is he?”

  “Um, just a classmate.”

“Does he normally walk you out?”

“No, actually this is the first time. Which is weird. Maybe he was just being friendly. I wasn’t happy a minute ago.”

“Well, that’s my job to make you happy. I hope I managed that right now.”

“Of course. I can’t believe you’re here. How?”

“See there’s this thing called a plane. And it goes really fast in the sky and can take you all over the world.”

“Dick,” I mutter, slapping his arm as he sets me on my feet. I realize that I must have created one helluva scene. I look around, and some people are gawking, but David is gone.

“Don’t worry, the little twerp left the second you jumped into my arms.”

“I get it now. I must have driven you nuts with my jealousy.”

“Not at all. We’re moving at lightning speed, but I’m old enough to know that’s what I want, and you’re the one I want. I’m even more territorial than you can ever be, but that’s because I found my forever in you.”

He drops to one knee, and I gasp, “Owen.”

“Casey, I love you. I knew that from the first moment our eyes met. Staying away has been painful, but I can’t wait to be with you forever. Tell me you’ll be my forever. Marry me.”

“I love you, Owen!” I squeal loud enough to wake the dead, but it seems we already have an audience.

“Girl, are you going to answer him?” one girl shouts. I laugh realizing I hadn’t said yes.

  “So…”

“Yes, of course. Yes. Kiss me, you brute.” He’s up on his feet, sliding the ring on my finger then I’m off my own two feet, and his mouth owns mine.

“Thank you everyone, but I need to speak with her privately,” he cheers, flipping me over his shoulder.

I hear two girls sigh and their friend saying I need a guy like that. “He’s mine,” I warn them from my upside-down perch before smacking his sexy ass.

“Damn right, baby. Now let’s go celebrate.”

  Epilogue

  Owen

  Four months later…

I pull Casey into my office, sitting her on my desk and kissing her wildly. She has on a dress suit that should be banned. On any other woman, I wouldn’t care, but on my wife, it’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. Her tits are getting even bigger than before she was pregnant, and they jut out above the tight fabric. “My mom wants to throw us a baby shower,” I mutter between kisses. Sliding off the jacket and kissing down her to her shoulder.

“I know.” She moans, pausing before adding in a stammer, “She’s been hinting at it since we found out about the baby.”

My hands skim the side of the skirt and unzip the material. “We don’t need anyone to get us anything. I can get us whatever we need.” She tugs my white tee off over my head.

“It’s not the point, Owen. It’s a rite of passage, mister.” She jabs me with her pretty painted finger into my chest. “You can’t spoil this for her.”

Grabbing her hand I slip her finger in my mouth, sucking on it and watching her squirm. This is going to be quick. I crave her all the time and find any second alone to touch her
. “What about your family?”

“Most of my family lives here so they’ll all show up. It’s my mom that’s iffy. She’s not going to fly up here and fly back down to make the shower especially now that she finally met someone.” Her parents split up when she was little, and she hasn’t seen her father in a decade, but her mother seemed nice and caring the one time I met her.

I freeze and stare at my wife. “Why wouldn’t she? We’d be paying for the flight.”

“I don’t know. I suppose I can ask.” She shrugs then lowers her head to kiss my chest. Growling, she knows that any time her lips are anywhere other than my mouth, I get out of control. The thought of her lips around my cock hits me every time. It’s like an instant trigger.

“No, I’m not even supposed to mention it to you, but I was hoping you’d convince my mother we didn’t need it.”

“Hahaha. That’s what this is about. You don’t want to be in a room full of women babbling about baby things,” she laughs, dropping to her knees. Fuck, I don’t stop her when her tongue slides around my tip. I shouldn’t have her down like this, but I love it too much to be a gentleman.

“Nope…Damn, Casey. You’ve got me close. Let go.” I help her to her feet.

“Well, you don’t have to come. You can hang with the guys.” That doesn’t work with our current position. The thought of other guys on her lips, while we’re half-naked, turns me into a beast.

“Baby, don’t go talking about other men when my cock was just on your lips.”

“Sorry, they’re family though.” I’ve gotten closer to her cousin, and we hang out with some of her family on the weekends, but I still save most of my time for her. It helps that she’s my new assistant. I actually didn’t have a personal assistant. There was just the office admin who pretty much handled everything with the determination of a mean little organized genius.

“No, I’m not leaving your side. This is important to you,” I promise, bending down and kissing her belly. Damn, in over a few months my son is going to be here. It feels so surreal.

“Whatever. This is just a baby shower,” she moans as my hands travel up and down her thighs and tug down her skirt, helping her step out of it.

She’s not wearing panties because I stole them this morning when I ate her out. My fingers slide across her sticky lips. “Our baby shower, wife.”

“Our baby, husband,” she sighs, dropping her head back as my tongue slips into her honey. Fuck, she’s sweeter and sweeter every month that goes by. I have her on my tongue daily, and it’s never enough. I lean her back onto the desk and thrust my fingers into her, stretching her because I’m going to fuck her pretty slit right now.

Standing up, I shove my pants down and thrust into my wife. The desk shakes as I fuck her. “Mine,” I moan against her lips. She’s everything to me, and I can’t hang on any longer. “I love you, Casey. Come with me.”

“I love you, Owen. Give it to me,” she cries out coming with me. I lean my head on her shoulder, trying to catch my breath. I pull back and help her off my desk and over to the private bathroom.

“I’m so glad you upgraded your office with soundproofing materials,” she giggles while washing up and getting dressed.

“Yeah, me too. I don’t care that they know I’m fucking you until we’re both spent, but I don’t want them to hear you,” I add with a wink. I could kill a motherfucker if I knew they saw my wife come undone. I’m crazy as fuck about her, but she tolerates me.

“So what were you and Bree talking about when I came in?” They hushed up when I walked, and it just made me suspicious. I have a feeling Bree finally has a boyfriend or something because she’s always distracted.

“Girl stuff, nosey rosy,” Casey says, cocking her brow at me.

“Well, Mrs. Parker, I don’t pay you to spend all day gabbing away,” I remind her, knowing I’m asking for trouble.

“Oh, I know what you pay me for.”

“I must say that’s the other five percent of the job,” I tease.

“My favorite part of the job.”

“Mine too. In fact, I’ll have to bump that other to twenty percent,” I growl, kissing her neck.

“As much as I’d love that, I really have to get back to work. Bree has a doctor’s appointment soon.”

“Is she okay? She seems different lately.”

“She’s fine, but remember you have a meeting to prepare for, so I’ll leave you to it.” She pats my cock and leaves my office looking no different than before she stepped in here to be defiled. Damn, just thinking about her gets me hard all over again.

  Casey

  Four years later…

The sun beams on my face as I lay out on the lounge chairs. I’m in a bikini, but I probably shouldn’t be because baby number three is almost ready to pop out. Owen hasn’t stopped knocking me up as soon as the six-week period was over. I’m glad he’s my boss because I would have lost my job by now.

“What are you doing out here, sexy lady?”

I roll my eyes behind my sunglasses. I love that my husband is blind to my flaws. “Relaxing, what brings you here, handsome?”

“Brought you a drink, my luscious wife,” he growls, bending down and kissing me. I moan and sip from the fruit smoothie.

  “Where are the boys?”

He takes a seat on the other lounge chair, resting his arms on his thighs while staring at me. “They’re all napping. Do you feel like swimming or would you like some other exercise?” he questions with a devilish grin.

“Um, I could use a nice swim. Do you want to join me?”

I stand up and grimace. “Baby, what’s wrong?” My stomach feels like it’s tearing in two. “Talk to me.”

The sound of water hitting the ground answers his question. “Fuck,” he scoops me up and carries me in the house. Owen’s on the phone with his mother who is going to take the boys for us. My neighbor will watch them until she gets there, but we have to leave before I give birth where I’m standing. I’m over a week late, so we’ve been going at it more often than usual. I cry out and cling to Owen’s body as he helps me into the car.

We are barely placed into the hospital room when my last baby comes out in style. Little Grace pushed through my bits in one damn contraction, shocking us all. None of my labors had been short. “It seems we waited forever for a girl, she had to rush out,” Owen teases.

“Yes, she knew how excited mommy was to have a little princess.”

“Little? They had to stitch your slit, honey. She’s ten pounds on the dot.”

“Really,” I gasp, entirely taken by surprise. She practically fell out of my cooter. I thought for sure that she was tiny. They all make your body feel like it’s splitting in two. “Well, she had more time to cook,” I admit.

“So we’re done?” he asks with a shit-eating grin that makes me want to hit him and kiss him at the same time.

Snarling, I emphatically declare, “You bet your ass.”

“We’ll see.” He leans down and places my sweet little girl in my arms. Immediately all the pain is forgotten, and I wonder why we don’t have twelve more. Not that I’d tell him that. The man is an elephant—never forgetting shit. “The boys are gonna love this little one.”

“Oh yeah. She’s going to be spoiled and well protected.”

“That’s the way my girls should be. Hell, my boys too.”

  “I love you, Owen.”

“Casey, you’re mine forever.” He leans down and kisses me so deeply I feel my body clench wantonly like I didn’t just have a baby.

“Get some sleep. I’ll wake you if Gracie needs you or when the boys get here.” He scoops her into his arms as my eyes droop.

“Thank you. What would I do without you?” I sigh with a yawn.

“I don’t know, but I’m forever grateful that I have you.”
