  “Ok baby, yeah your mouth has a power all its own.” Kane looked down at his dick, it was jumping and pulsing big time. “We’re gonna have to explore that later, when I got a little more control.”

  Kane came onto the bed and gathered her into his arms. He found her lips. She tasted of sweet almonds, brown sugar and him. Damn, his dick was aching to slide into her.

  “I can’t hold back. It’s been so long and you feel so good.” Kane told her as his lips left her’s and traveled down to her hard nipple. He roamed her body with his hands stroking at the slick plump lips between her legs. Dawn moaned as Kane raked his fingers back and forth across her clit. Kane felt his cock jump with each sigh, each moan, it was music to his ears.

  “Don’t wait, my beast. Fill me up with that big dick of yours. I need you.” She cried, arching her hips rubbing her pussy against his hands. Dawn bit his shoulder then licked him.   Kane was glad Dawn was now on birth control because he hadn’t brought any protection with him. Neither of them wanted to wait another second.

  Kane’s whole body went stiff. They both sucked in air. A stunning moment of completeness spiraled from their locked bodies. Looking down at her beautiful face, Kane saw tears shimmering in Dawn’s eyes. This was it for him. For the rest of his life he wanted to stay with this brave, loyal woman. His heart swelled and his throat closed.

  “I love you so much, beauty. Will you marry me, be my brave sweet beauty forever?” Kane asked. His body suspended above her.

  Dawn’s eyes widened and she slowly smiled up at him.

  Kane felt his heart start to beat again, he hadn’t realized that it had stopped.

  “Only you.” Dawn said, “Only you would ask that special question with your dick lodged inside me.” She ground her pelvis against his, and moaned. “Yes.”

  Kane threw his head back, and growled out long and loud. He couldn’t speak. Thrusting madly inside her, the pleasure was all consuming. Joy cursed through him in waves. His beauty was truly his.

  “Yes!” She screamed as their bodies climbed higher and higher.

  “Yes, yes, yes.” She canted, gripping him as her body convulsed in spasms around him.

  Kane pulled her hips tight into him as he plunged one last time into the ecstasy that was his Dawn. Gathering her warm damp body into his arms, Kane smiled. Their dark past was behind them. No more hiding, or secrets, the future was theirs.

  EPELOGUE

  Ace relaxed on the sofa. It was movie night at the McAdams’ condo. He watched his friends and their beautiful women. Both David and Kane were engaged to be married. He was happy for his friends. They deserved some happiness for a change. Ace couldn’t get Esteban’s murder out of his mind. It was an unanswered question that plagued his thoughts. Who was the woman? Why did she kill Blanco? It’s not like the man didn’t deserve to rot in hell for all the evil him and his son perpetrated. The detective side of Ace just couldn’t deal with lose ends.

  Ace gazed across the room at David. He was more relaxed than he could ever remember him being. He loved his song bird that much was evident by the way he touched her any chance he could, how sometimes he would close his eyes, as if he was savoring her sultry voice as she spoke.

  Little Jordan was curled up napping on David’s lap. Ace wondered who the big guy loved more, Alex or “his little man”. David would be a great dad to Jordan, far better than his biological one.

  Alex with her wild curly hair and golden brown eyes sat next to David with her head on his shoulder. Alex was a nurturer. She mothered them all in some form or fashion. Right now she was singing a song about love and seeing the true person inside. Ace had a feeling she was talking about Dawn and Kane.

  Dawn was swaying to her friend’s song with a smile. Dawn smiled a lot lately, it was a strange thing to see. He never thought of her as a smiler. Dawn and Kane’s relationship came as a surprise to him. He never saw the two of them close without a fight breaking out, but look at them. They were in love. Fucking love everywhere.

  “Can we start the movie please?” Ace asked, rolling his eyes. “An action movie if you don’t mind. I’m about to choke on all the lovey dovey shit in here.”

  “I told you bro, stop hating, it sours your soul. Cheer up, there has to be some girl out there who can stand to look at your sour puss for more than a day.” Kane joked.

  Ace opened his mouth to tell Kane to shut the hell up when his cell phone buzzed. Unknown caller. Ace frowned.

  “You got Ace.” He said into his phone.

  “Ace Jackson, this is Alana Ruiz. I’m the person who helped you find Dawn Collins.” a woman said. Her voice was low, Ace strained to hear what she was saying.

  “And you’re the one who killed Esteban Blanco, aren’t you?”

  There was heavy silence for a moment. “Mr. Jackson, I have information about a dirty cop in your department. I work for him as his informant. Soon Ace Jackson, he will kill you. He says he owes you for ratting out his brother.” She stopped.

  “Hey, are you there?”

  “Sorry I got to go. He has others on his side, some of them high up in your department. You’re not safe and neither am I. They’re looking for me too. Meet me at the Solo club tomorrow night. We are both running out of time.”

  The line went dead.

  “What was that about?” David asked, standing up. His eyes were stormy gray. Yeah, the man could smell trouble.

  “Apparently, there’s a hit out on me and the informant that helped us find Dawn, it seems,” Ace looked into the worried faces of the only people he considered family. “I’m living on borrowed time.”
