Brothers Black 2: Noah The Beast
Page 17
It seems things are never dull around here, but we are all here for each other. Our circle has grown so big, with our friends and family here as well as on the East Coast, and let’s not forget the family in Ireland and Scotland. So much has been pulling Noah in every direction and at times I’m being pulled on as well. I long for the simple beginning we had. Those first few weeks were bliss.
So much weight has tested our love and relationship, but this…this may be the straw that broke the camel’s back. Noah is pissed, no he is beyond pissed. I’ve never seen him this mad at me.
He won’t stop pacing and despite holding me tight when we first arrived here at the hospital, he won’t come near me now. He is like a raging bull and I am a cowering mouse right now, because I know part of what I did was wrong. I didn’t like it when he did it to me, so I shouldn’t be surprised that he is so pissed at me now.
I haven’t seen Noah in two months and this is not the way I wanted to reunite. I found out about Lulu and TJ, Toby’s twins, by accident. I wasn’t intentionally trying to hide things from Noah.
There was no way I was just going to let Nellie, Kamara, and the twins get kidnapped and not do something. I had to follow them. Once I had TJ safe, I took action. The others were on their way, but they were too far out. We could have lost valuable time. I did what Nellie would do for me. I will not apologize for that.
I look over at Wyatt and my heart aches. I don’t think this family can take another hit like Nora. Nellie and the baby have to be okay. I will never forgive myself if they’re not.
Wyatt runs his hand through his hair and looks towards the doors the doctors have been coming back and forth through for other families. The doctor with news for Nellie and the baby has yet to make an appearance.
“She’s going to be okay,” I say to Wyatt because I can’t stand the quiet any longer.
Everyone has just been sitting in silence, waiting. Cass is at Wyatt’s side with Lulu in her lap as Cass rubs Wyatt’s back every now and again. He looks like he is holding on by a thread.
Noah stops in his tracks at the sound of my voice. The hard glare he gives me would make another shrink. I almost do…almost. Instead, I lift my head defiantly. Noah narrows his eyes and snorts, shaking his head. He licks his bottom lip as his nostrils flare.
“They both need to be okay,” Wyatt says absently.
“They will be, Love,” Cass reassures him.
“We don’t know that,” Wyatt says and runs a hand through his hair again.
“Yeah, we do. Nellie is a fighter. You’re a fighter. Your baby is a fighter as well. They’ll both be okay,” I say softly.
“Is that why you insist on putting yourself in harm’s way all the time? Because you are a fighter too,” Noah spits.
“Noah,” Uncle Joe warns.
“No Dad, no, she’s been lying to me. Hiding shit from me and then she takes off after armed men like she is Wonder Woman or something. What the hell were you thinking,” Noah growls.
“Noah, she was only doing what I asked. Bean was looking out for my family,” Toby tries to help.
“Well, who was looking out for mine,” Wyatt explodes and jumps from his seat. “You couldn’t trust us to help you with whatever is going on with you? You had my wife lying to me. Now, I could be losing everything, everything I have is on the line in there,” Wyatt points to the doors.
“Wyatt, I’m sorry,” Toby says and pushes his hands in his hair.
“Sorry,” Wyatt bellows and lunges at Toby.
Joe wraps his arms around Wyatt and carries him to the other side of the room as he murmurs something to him. John and Felix follow to see if they can help. Braxton goes over to Toby and wraps an arm around his shoulders.
“He’s just upset. He’ll calm down,” Ryan offers.
“Toby, I think you should take Kamara and the kids back to the house. We’ll call you with any news,” Cass says.
Toby looks crushed, but he nods and gathers his little family. I feel bad for speaking up now. The fact that I can feel Noah glaring at me doesn’t help.
I fidget in my seat and try to ignore his eyes on me. I can feel them burning a hole into me. I lick my dry lips and brush my damp palms over my thighs. My shoes become really interesting. My head snaps up when Cass speaks.
“You two go take a walk. Fight, fuck, and make up, but you get over it and come back here to be here for your brother,” Cass snaps with her Irish lilt heavy. “Yes, she hid something from you. We don’t know Toby’s whole story yet, but we know he needed her help. Like it or not Noah, she did the right thing. The same thing you or any of us would’ve done. So clear the air or whatever and get your asses back here.”
My mouth is hanging open as I look at Noah’s mom in disbelief. She lifts a brow at me and tilts her head to the side. “What lass, you’re looking as if I shocked you. You’ve known me too long to be shocked. Get your feisty ass up and do as I say,” Cass demands.
I close my mouth and roll my lips to keep from laughing. Leave it to Aunt Cassidy to make you want to laugh at the worst moments. My laughter is stifled as Noah grabs my elbow and tugs me gently from my seat.
Noah softens the action by lacing his fingers with mine, but then his long legs are moving so fast, it’s enough to drag me along. I doubled my steps to keep up with him. He drags me into the first open elevator. When a younger guy goes to step on with us Noah gives him a death glare.
The guy steps back and blinks at Noah as the doors close in his face. Noah turns to me and backs me into the corner. He places his hands on the rails on either side of me. His big arms cage me in. I look him in the eyes, but he doesn’t say a word. I can feel the rage rolling off of him. The elevator doors open, but Noah doesn’t move or speak, he just stares.
We both know we haven’t reached the ground floor. Noah just refuses to acknowledge the new additions to the cart, as voices fill the space around us. The elevator stops once more, causing this ride to feel like it’s taking an eternity. Noah crowds further into my space as the elevator begins to crowd with people.
He doesn’t let his stare break. When we reach the ground floor I break eye contact to peek around him. The elevator is emptying out. Noah reaches for my hand again and pulls me out behind him.
Both our phones ding at the same time. I pull mine from my pocket and find a text from Joe. Nellie and the baby are stable and it looks like the baby will be fine. They are monitoring them both. I sag into Noah in relief. He gives me a nod when he finishes reading the text and begins to pull me along once again.
“Noah, where are we going,” I demand.
“To talk,” he grumbles simply.
I huff and follow him. Noah walks out of the hospital and heads for the parking lot he parked the truck in. He was the one who drove to get Nellie here as fast as possible.
Noah unlocks the truck and flings the back door open. I just stare at him as he looks back at me like I should just hop to what he wants. A growl rises from his belly. My mouth falls open and my eyes widen. Noah stalks toward me, causing me to back into the back seat of the truck. He follows me in and slams the door so hard the truck rocks.
Noah doesn’t stop moving towards me until I’m pinned to the door on the opposite side from the one we entered. I place my palms on his heaving chest. I try to speak, but my voice comes out dry and small. I clear my throat and try again.
“You said you wanted to talk,” I squawk.
“I plan to do just what my mother suggested, Bean. We’re going to fight, fuck, and makeup,” Noah seethes.
“What,” I ask with an open mouth.
“Did I say it wrong? We are going to fight, Bean, because I hate the shit you pulled. We’re going to fuck, because you need to remember who the fuck I am. Then we’re going to make up like this shit never happened, because it makes me crazy to even think of the danger you put yourself in. That could be you in there. That could have been our baby fighting for its life.
“You were late up until the day I left,
Bean. All I could think about the whole time I was away, was coming home and making sure that this time I get you pregnant without question, on purpose. The thought of you carrying my baby had me ready to leave my job, Bean.
“You know I’m always focused out there, but this time. This time, knowing that I want something I hadn’t known I wanted so much, before we thought we slipped up. That had my mind here with you.
“So yeah, I’m fucking pissed, Bean. That could be you,” he points outside the truck, towards the hospital. “I could have lost you.”
“But you didn’t, Noah. And Wyatt isn’t going to lose Nellie or the baby,” I say softly.
Noah looks away and blinks back tears. My heart crumbles. I’ve never seen Noah cry, but his lashes are moist. I reach for his face and turn it to face me again.
“I’m not sorry for what I did, Noah. They’re my family. I had to protect them. I had to go after them, but I am sorry if I hurt you, or if you were worried about me,” I say with a plea for understanding.
“If…if… there is no if, Bean. I was worried about you. God, if something were to have happened to you,” Noah places his forehead to mine. His arms envelope around me and pull me into his chest. “I’d burn a motherfucker down for you, Rebecca. When are you going to get that?”
“I get it, Noah,” I reply.
“No, Baby, you don’t. You wouldn’t do shit like this if you knew how crazy it makes me,” he breathes. “No more bounties, no more stake outs over a level one, and no more secrets.”
Noah crushes my lips without letting me reply. I wrap my arms around his broad back as he devours me. Noah’s presence is already enough to fill this truck, but the way he takes my lips in this kiss, it’s all consuming.
Noah moves his hand to my waist and shoves his fingers into my running shorts. They were the first thing I could grab after getting out of the shower, when I heard the commotion before Nellie and the others were kidnapped. I spread my legs as much as the back seat will allow, giving him access to my honey pot.
Noah groans as I start to soak his fingers. He slides his digits in and out of me with ease. I can’t get enough of his mouth. I suck his tongue into my mouth trying desperately to have more of him. Noah breaks the kiss and starts to nip at my chin and lick at my throat.
“I missed you like crazy,” Noah breathes. “I want to taste you, but we need to get back,” he pulls his hand from my shorts and sticks his fingers in his mouth.
“Noah,” I plea.
Noah reaches to tug my shorts down in one swift motion. I am spread open just for him to view. He looks at me with darken eyes. “Turnaround,” he commands as he moves back to give me room. He tugs at his belt and pants, moving to release is swollen rod.
I shift quickly on my hands and knees. I am soaked with anticipation. I don’t know what part of me I want him to fill more, but I know he will go for my pussy. Noah likes to take his time with my other hole too much to rush. I know he wants to get back inside to be there for Wyatt, but we both need this first.
He places a hand to the center of my back, causing me to arch. I wiggle my ass at him and he grunts. I gasp when he pushes inside me. It has been two months too long.
“Oh,” Noah groans as he slides into me, “Oh, yeah. Ah,” Noah grunts and growls as he sets a pounding pace. I rock back into him as I bite my lip. He feels so good. When he pauses and slows down, then picks up the pace again, I can’t hold back. I cry out his name and reach for the closest seat belt to hold on to.
“Noah, yes,” I whimper.
He grabs my left cheek and squeezes it in his palm as he spreads my cheeks and slides in and out of me. “You feel that? You see what you do to me,” Noah pants. “You drive me crazy. I love you so much,” he rasps.
“I love you, too,” I cry out as his big hands dip under my arms and wrap over my shoulders. His warm weight settles against my back as he continues to pump into me, fast and hard, then long and slow.
Noah shifts again, pulling his weight from my back, but still holding onto my shoulders, using them to pull me into his thrusts. It feels insane and I know it won’t take long for me to come like this. He is thrusting so hard the truck is rocking beneath us. Anyone walking pass will surely know what is going on behind the fogged glass.
I place my hand against the window to steady myself. Noah grunts, releasing my shoulders to thread one hand in my hair. I turn to look at him and he is popping the thumb on his other hand in his mouth. When he pulls it out soak and wet, he watches my face as he places his thumb at my puckered hole.
“I know what you need. Is this what you’re looking for,” he pushes his thumb in and rolls his hips into me hitting my spot. “I want you to come on my cock, Baby. Be a good girl for me,” he says in a dark sexy voice.
Noah bites his lip as he watches me through hooded eyes. I think I come apart from the look on his face alone. Noah tugs my hair a little harder and leans over me to take my lips in a soul searing kiss. He keeps thrusting as I gush around him.
“Remember this the next time you think about placing the woman I love in danger. I’m always in control, Rebecca. So, if something goes wrong, I’ll fix it. You don’t have to do it for me,” Noah growls against my lips. “If it is not a direct threat to you don’t make it one. You understand me, Baby?”
“Yes, Noah, yes,” I say as I shudder. I would agree to anything he says right now.
Noah releases his hold on my hair and places his hand over my belly. “When shit settles down, we need to talk about making our first son,” Noah says next to my ear.
I smirk. “Really,” I giggle. I think of when we were younger and Nellie said I would have little Noahs someday. Well, she was right and so was I. We are both with our childhood crushes.
“Yeah, Toby’s twins are cute. I can’t wait to see our kids. I can’t believe I’m an uncle and now Wyatt has one on the way. I was honestly excited when you thought you were pregnant before I left,” he murmurs. “I was a little disappointed when you started your period that morning.”
“Yeah, me too,” I admit.
I was late and we honestly thought I could be pregnant at first. I wasn’t sure if maybe I’d forgotten a pill or something and just didn’t notice. We have been so busy lately. Anything is possible.
Before being sexually active, I had been known to skip a pill by just becoming distracted, even after having it in the palm of my hand. My mom has found plenty of napkins with my pill resting inside.
“Rebecca,” Noah calls as he nuzzles my neck, tickling me with his beard.
“Yeah, Babe,” I sigh at the feel of his warmth enveloping me.
“I’m proud of you. Pissed as fuck, but really proud of you,” Noah sighs.
I laugh. “Yeah, I get it, Noah. I understand.”
And I do understand. They would have found Nellie and the others if I hadn’t followed behind them. It’s what the Blacks do, but I would do it my way again. I just won’t be telling him that.
CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX
Get It Straight
Noah
I walk into the house and I know something is off right away. For one, Beans doesn’t come running around the corner to greet us. I shift my weight and adjust Rebecca in my arms. This is one time her ass may need to wake up like a normal person.
I’m reluctant to move further into the house until I hear little voices. Voices I’ve come to know as my niece and nephew. I shake my head. I should have known Toby would bring his ass here.
“Dada, doggy,” I hear Lulu’s little voice say.
“Yes, baby, that’s a doggy,” Toby says to his little girl.
I hear TJ giggle as Beans gives a little bark.
“My doggy,” Lulu coos.
“No baby, he’s your Uncle Noah’s doggy,” I hear Kamara say as I turn the corner.
“You guys can come see him whenever you like,” I say grabbing everyone’s attention.
Lulu gasps and her little eyes go wide as she sees me standing with Bean in my arms. “
Unc- No-ah,” she tries to say, with a look of awe on her pretty little face. I smirk down at my niece; she is adorable and looks a lot like both her mom and her dad. It is crazy how much of Toby I can see in his kids, but Kamara is there too.
“Hey Princess,” I say with a smile.
Lulu’s little face lights up with a shy smile. She gives a small wave, before crawling over to her father. She has forgotten all about petting Beans, who was on his back enjoying a tummy rub from the twins. Toby pulls my shy niece into his lap and looks up at me.
I know he’s here to talk. I nod my head at Rebecca in my arms. “Let me put her to bed and I’ll be back out,” I say.
Rebecca is worn out. We sat at the hospital with Wyatt as long as we could, before getting hungry and needing some rest. I know my brother doesn’t plan to leave his wife’s side until she wakes. I don’t blame him. I would be the same way.
“Okay,” Toby nods and swallows.
I notice TJ watching me closely. I give him a smile. “You coming buddy,” I ask and his face lights up. He stands and rushes over on his little legs.
I chuckle as he and Beans follow me to the bedroom, where I settle Rebecca in the bed. I’ll be back later to remove her clothes and wash her body down. I smirk as I think of the sex we had in the back of my truck. It was just what I needed to relieve some of the stress.
TJ watches me tuck Rebecca in, as he has his little arms wrapped around Beans’ thick neck. It looks like my dog has a new friend. I’m still in shock that I have a nephew.
I lean and kiss Rebecca’s forehead, then I turn for TJ. I lift him into my arms and give him a little toss. He squeals and wraps his arms around my neck, when I catch him and hold him to my chest.
“Your Uncle Noah is going to teach you all the fun stuff. No one will ever pick on you or your sister,” I say with a beaming smile. TJ just smiles back at me. “You’re one handsome kid,” I chuckle.
