Martin Simms, a lonely businessman, meets and falls in love with a hotel maid. Mia Barelli finds, after accepting a dinner invitation with the irresistable Martin, that feels the same-but there’s just one little problem. She’s already engaged.

Mia tries to resist their passionate connection, but is unable to say no to Martin. What is she going to do about her fiance, though? Finally, she has to make a choice, and a heartfelt goodbye letter later, Martin may accept that she’s moved on…but he can’t seem to stop loving her.

And when Mia’s sister steps in to try to “fix” things, things get even more complicated…

Excerpt From MAID FOR EACH OTHER:

Martin finished his breakfast and paid his bill. He slipped a large tip to Leona and then kissed her cheek softly before heading back up to his room. He saw Mia’s cart in the hallway in front of his room. He approached slowly, not wanting to interrupt her job or anything else she may be doing in his room.

He peeked inside his room and saw his bed was made. He heard Mia humming quietly and when she emerged from the bathroom, she was startled to see him standing in the doorway.

“Oh! Mr. Simms, I didn’t see you there!” She gasped as she ran right into him, nearly knocking him off his feet.

“Call me Martin.” He smiled warmly at her. She didn’t make eye contact with him and he could tell she was trembling. ”Everything okay?”

“Yes, Mr. Sim-Martin. Everything’s fine. I’ll just finish up and get out of your way, sir.” She pushed past him and out to her cart.

“You won’t be in the way, Mia. I’ve got some work to do on my computer. Take your time.” He crossed the room toward the couch, turned to look at her and their eyes locked. He felt his heart begin to beat faster and he clenched his fists at his sides. Breaking eye contact with her, he turned and took a few more steps to the couch, then picked up his laptop and sat down.

He could still feel her eyes on him. He glanced up to look at her again and she turned away quickly, walking to the cart outside the room and placing the dirty towels in the canvas bag hooked to the side of the cart.

She bent over to grab fresh towels off the bottom shelf of the cart and she heard Martin gasp. Bringing herself upright and turning to look at him, she noticed he was standing an arm’s length away from her.

“Never, ever bend over like that in front of me again.” Martin reached out and pulled her to him, causing her to drop the clean towels to the floor. He brought his lips down to hers, brushing against them softly before placing one hand on the back of her neck and pulling her in for a deeper kiss.

Martin could feel Mia’s restraint as his tongue teased her lips. She let out a quiet moan and when she did, he plunged his tongue into her mouth. She responded to his kiss by running her hands up his chest and around his neck.

Their tongues danced together as the kiss ignited the fire between them. After several seconds, she pushed him away, her breathing ragged and her heart beating furiously. As his breathing returned to normal, he released his grip before he spoke.

“Have dinner with me.” His voice was raspy with desire.

“I- I can’t,” she stammered, her body still trembling from the most amazing kiss she’d ever experienced.

Mia pushed him away further then bent to pick up the towels she’d dropped. When she stood upright, she locked eyes with Martin again. She could see the desire in his eyes and it caused her heart to beat even faster than it already was. Clutching the towels tightly, she pushed past him and into the bathroom.
