  His lazy-lidded gaze wandered over her face to her lips. “I can see the immediate benefits. But the long run...”

  “The long run is the only race in town worth running.” She leaned up and placed her lips so lightly on his that they scarcely touched. “Haven’t you figured that out?”

  His lips lifted at the edges, brushing sensuously against hers. “You got your sneakers on?”
