The buzz of the vibrating egg sent a shudder through me. With all of this teasing, I was throbbing with need. Austin had picked one of my favorite toys, and I was dying to have it on me. The egg moved up my thigh, drawing a whimper from my lips.

When it finally glided along my clit, I practically screamed. My legs parted to give him better access.

“You like that, don’t you?” he uttered as he made circles around my clit with the egg.

“Yes,” I breathed out. “It’s so good. I need more.”

“I know you do, baby,” he uttered in a rough voice. “You don’t have to worry about a thing. I’m going to take care of you. Tell me you trust me to take care of you.”

It wasn’t fair for him to ask that question now. With the vibrations moving along my clit, I could already feel myself coiling tighter, preparing for my release. Just as I lifted my hips, pressing closer to the vibrator, he pulled it away.

“Tell me you trust me,” he commanded before quickly adding, “With your pleasure. If you can’t tell me more, tell me you trust me with your pleasure.”

“Yes,” I panted out, writhing and arching to get closer to the egg. With the blindfold on, I had no idea if I was getting close or not. “I trust you with my pleasure.”

“Very good,” he praised, moving the egg in small circles against my clit.

When I was moaning and rocking against the egg again, he increased the speed. Austin knew what he was doing. He’d drive me to the edge and then slow the vibrations. He continued this sensual torture until I was sure I’d die if he slowed down one more time.

As if sensing my need, Austin continued at the right speed to bring me to the edge and send me spiraling over. My scream echoed through the room as the spasms from my orgasm rocked my body.

The buzzing stopped, and the vibrator left me, only to be replaced with the flat of Austin’s palm. He held it against me with just enough pressure to draw out the spasms of my release.

“This is amazing,” he murmured when he finally moved his hand and reached up to remove the blindfold. “I want to look in your eyes when I make you come again.”

My lips curled into an inviting smile as I arched my back slightly, posing for Austin. “Why don’t you slip out of those shorts and join me?”

“That is an excellent suggestion.” He quickly stripped out of his boxers and looked around. “Condoms?”

“Top drawer of the nightstand,” I replied.

I watched as he rolled the condom on before kneeling beside me and leaning in to kiss me. Austin’s kiss was enough to have me aching for more. It seemed I’d never be fully sated if he had anything to say about it. When Austin broke our kiss, he looked as desperate as I was.

When he turned me so I was on my elbows and knees with my hands still tied to the headboard, I let out a squeal of surprise.

“I thought you wanted to see my face,” I said in a ragged voice as he positioned himself behind me.

“I do.” He fisted my hair and tugged gently until I was looking at him over my shoulder. “Tell me if I’m hurting you.

My only response was a needy whimper.

  Chapter 46

  Austin

If I hadn’t been looking at her face, I might have worried I was hurting Piper, but pain wasn’t what I saw. All I saw was arousal.

She pulsed around my dick as I slid into her welcoming pussy, drawing a loud groan from the back of my throat. She fit me to perfection. Starting out slow was a challenge when what I wanted was to fuck her hard and fast. I didn’t want this to end too soon. I’d been dreaming of having her again for two weeks. Piper’s moans grew louder as I increased my pace until she was rocking back against me. I released her hair, but she continued to watch my every reaction.

It wasn’t long until Piper began to tighten and scream with her second orgasm. I wanted it to last all night, but feeling her come around my dick as she called out my name was too much. I groaned loudly as I came hard, gripping Piper’s hips tightly as if to anchor myself to reality.

For several moments, all that could be heard were our ragged breaths as we each recovered. She was amazing. Nothing could bring me down from my sex induced euphoria. At least, that’s what I thought until I pulled out of her.

  “Fuck,” I muttered.

“We just did that,” Piper said with a sated smile.

Tossing the condom in the trash by her bed, I moved to untie her wrists. This wasn’t a discussion I should have while she was on her elbows and knees, tied to the bed.

She rolled to her side to regard me. I rubbed her wrists as I sat on the edge of the bed.

  “What’s wrong?” she asked.

“The condom broke,” I confessed before quickly adding, “I’m clean. I’ve been tested, and I haven’t been with anyone other than you in a long time. Since you already told me you’re on the pill, there’s nothing to worry about.”

Piper was quiet as all the color drained from her face. “I had to go on antibiotics while you were gone. That can make birth control less effective.”

The strangest thing happened. While I should be panicking, I suddenly had an image flash through my mind—one I knew I shouldn’t share with Piper. I could picture her pregnant with my child, and I liked it. Still, I needed to give Piper all the options without pushing her in any direction.

“Do you want me to run out to get one of those morning after pills for you?” I asked, hoping she’d say no.

She hesitated before responding. “You probably should. Would you think I’m crazy if I admit that I’m not sure I want to use the morning after pill?”

“Would you think I’m crazy if I admit that I’m certain I don’t want you to use it?” I asked, worried I was screwing up.

“We are such a mess,” Piper said on a sigh before laying on her back with an arm over her eyes.

I laid beside her and gathered her in my arms. “I don’t want to pressure you to make any decisions.” If I was being honest, I wanted to pressure her, but I wouldn’t.

“I had a miscarriage five years ago,” she admitted softly, rolling to her side to rest her head on my chest.

“I’m sorry,” I uttered, holding her tighter. “Do you want to talk about it?”

“It was another case of antibiotics messing with my birth control. We didn’t have a broken condom, that we knew of, but I still ended up pregnant.” She took a deep breath before continuing. “I didn’t want to be pregnant. The guy I was seeing definitely wasn’t good father material. We were thinking about breaking up when I found out I was pregnant, and all of a sudden, he wanted to get married right away. I cannot even begin to tell you what a horrible mistake that would have been. We didn’t even like each other very much by that point. Anyway, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do when I miscarried, so it shouldn’t have bothered me as much as it did.”

“It’s different when you make the choice,” I told her. “The choice was taken from you before you could even get used to the idea.”

“Exactly!” she agreed. “Now, I know that getting pregnant would be a bad idea. I certainly don’t have the best job to be a mom, but I still don’t know what to do.”

“If you get pregnant from tonight, I’ll take care of you,” I promised.

“Please, do not tell me you’re going to propose over a positive pregnancy test,” she muttered. “I’m not marrying anyone simply because I’m pregnant.”

“Was that your fiancé?” I asked. “The one who got you pregnant.” The timing was right for when Harley said Piper was engaged.

“You heard about that?” she asked.

“Harley mentioned it but didn’t give me any details,” I replied.

“It was my fiancé’s baby,” she replied. “We were both idiots for getting engaged.”

“You must have loved each other if you were planning to get married.” I felt a twinge of jealousy.

“Not the way we should have,” was her sad reply. “It says a lot that you didn’t freak out and run for the doo
r when you saw the broken condom.”

“I freaked out a little,” I admitted. “Mostly, I was worried you’d be pissed at me.”

“Why would I be pissed at you?” she asked. “You got that from my box of condoms. Speaking of which, no sex until we get new condoms.”

“So, you’re not mad?” I asked.

“No, I’m not mad,” she assured me.

“I need to run a quick errand.” I climbed out of bed and looked around for my clothes. “Do you need anything while I’m out?”

“An errand?” she asked. “This is a strange time to run an errand.”

“I need to get more condoms,” I explained. “After being away from you for two weeks, I’m nowhere near done with you.”

  Chapter 47

  Piper

I was only working until nine since I’d had to be at Euphoria before noon to handle inventory and ordering. Austin had dropped me off and was picking me up for a late dinner. Since Austin had shown up shortly after opening, he’d been sitting at the bar, fending off groupies. As for me, I was meeting with a local band that wanted to play at Euphoria.

The band consisted of four guys who all had a clean-cut, boy band look. I’d listened to their demo, and they were good. I was seated at a table with Jos, the lead singer, while the other members of the band headed to the bar for drinks.

Jos was cute, with neatly trimmed black hair, hazel eyes, and an olive complexion. He had his share of groupies already, from what I could tell from the band’s social media pages.

“Do you have any questions, Jos?” I asked him.

He shook his head and smiled. “Not related to the show. Are you really Austin Knight’s girlfriend?”

“No,” I replied automatically. “We’re old friends.” What I’d said was true, but not the whole truth. This was the first time a stranger had asked me about my relationship with Austin, and Austin wouldn’t be happy with my response.

Jos looked over his shoulder to where Austin was still surrounded by the slut brigade. I was not jealous. Nope, not one little bit.

“I figured that with the way he keeps glaring at us that the rumors about your dating him were true.” He didn’t give me a chance to reply before continuing. “Do you have any rules about dating members of the bands who perform here?”

Jos wanted to ask me out? I definitely hadn’t seen that coming. Jos had recently turned twenty-one, and I’d assumed he’d think I was too old for him.

“The issue’s never come up,” I admitted. “But dating bands who play here would be a bad idea.”

He nodded and flashed me a mischievous grin. “That’s probably just as well since Austin Knight looks like he’s about to come over here and kick my ass for talking to you.”

“What?” I glanced over at Austin. He was watching us, but that wouldn’t last long. “Austin is too busy entertaining the slut brigade to pay attention to what we’re doing.”

“I see,” Jos mused as he moved to the chair beside me, leaning in until his lips were close to my ear. “So, if I were to move closer, like this, to tell you something, Austin wouldn’t mind?”

I was about to assure him Austin wouldn’t care when Austin spoke from right behind Jos. “Back off.”

Jos grinned and turned to Austin.

“Don’t even think about it,” I warned them both.

“Think about what?” Jos asked innocently.

“You.” I pointed at Jos. “Are trying to start shit with Austin.” My attention shifted to Austin. “You should be more worried about the girls begging you to help mend their broken hearts.”

“Didn’t you call them the slut brigade a minute ago?” Jos asked innocently.

Austin let out a bark of laughter. “Slut brigade?”

“Do you want to play at Euphoria?” I asked Jos.

Jos put his hands up in surrender. “Sorry. I’m the youngest of seven and the only boy.”

“That’s his way of saying he’s a pain in the ass,” Kaeden, the drummer, said as he rejoined us. “I can’t believe I’m in the same room as Austin Knight. Don’t judge me based on the stupid shit that comes out of Jos’s mouth. He’s just a kid.”

“You’re not that much older than me,” Jos told him with a laugh, moving to sit on the other side of the table again.

Austin took the seat beside me. His hand moved around to the back of my chair before he thought better of it and folded his hands in front of him on the table. We’d discussed PDA’s in my place of employment when he’d arrived earlier that night. I was glad he remembered the rules.

I decided to make the introductions. “Austin, this is Jos and Kaeden. Their band, Deluded Serenity, will be performing here next month.”

“I can’t tell you how excited we were when you said a slot had opened up,” Jos told me.

“Yeah, we figured it would be months before you even considered us,” Kaeden added. “We weren’t sure you’d even listen to our demo after you had Reckless Release for your opening night.”

New clubs didn’t usually have many bands asking to play their venue, but when we’d announced Reckless Release was booked for opening night, it had attracted the interest of several local bands.

“I’m trying to give more local bands a chance,” I explained. “Your demo is good, and I liked what I saw on YouTube from your shows. You also have an impressive following.”

“How long have you been playing?” Austin asked.

“As a band? About five years,” Jos replied. “We started playing together in high school.”

“I’ll check you guys out,” Austin told them.

  “Really?” Kaeden asked excitedly.

“Sure,” Austin replied. “We play some local shows, so we’re always on the lookout for other local bands to open for us at clubs.”

“That would be amazing!” was Jos’s response. “Sorry about messing with you earlier. Like Kaeden said, I’m kind of a pain in the ass.”

  “No worries,” Austin replied.

“We should get going,” Kaeden began. “We all have work in the morning. Is there anything else you need from us?”

“I have everything,” I assured him. “I’ll email the details for the show, including the times for soundcheck and the club rules.”

“Sounds good,” Jos agreed before they went to get the rest of their band.

  Chapter 48

  Austin

Jealousy wasn’t something I was accustomed to, but I’d definitely been jealous when Jos had leaned in to talk to Piper. It was a ridiculous reaction. Piper was too professional to flirt with a band she was signing for Euphoria. Even knowing that, I’d wanted to yank Jos out of his chair and kick his ass for getting close to Piper. At least, I could take comfort in the knowledge that I hadn’t been the only one experiencing that emotion.

  “Slut brigade?” I asked.

  “We’re both idiots,” she muttered.

She’d get no argument from me on that.

“Are you about ready to head out for the night,” I asked.

“I should be ready in about twenty minutes,” she replied.

“Wanna stop for waffles?” I asked.

Piper groaned. “Not again. I’ve already been dragged to seven diners to try waffles.”

“You have?” I hadn’t taken her to any diners for waffles. “Are you seeing my band behind my back?” There was only one person this obsessed with finding the perfect waffle.

“Harley made me go with her a few times when she was on waffle duty. The other times were with Bentley and Gage.”

“My friend has a problem,” I muttered.

“Yes, he does,” she agreed. “So, you’re on waffle duty tonight and didn’t warn me before getting me to agree to go out with you?”

“In my defense, I forgot it was my turn,” I replied. “Gage and Bentley should also be there. Will you go with me?”

“Fine, but I am not eating another waffle,” she insisted.

“You don’t like waffles?” I asked.

/>   “I love waffles, but I’ve had Cami’s and nothing compares to those,” she explained.

“That’s what I’ve heard, but she hasn’t made any for me,” I complained.

“She’s afraid you’ll tell Xander how good they are,” she explained. “If that happens, he’ll turn into a total stalker.”

“Poor Xan,” I said with a sigh. “He’ll never get in Cami’s kitchen.”

  Chapter 49

  Piper

If I never saw another waffle again, it would be too soon. I wasn’t even excited about seeing one of Cami’s waffles, and they were fantastic. The first few times I’d been invited on the quest for the perfect waffle, it had been fun. I liked waffles, and I wasn’t nearly as picky as Xander. I even liked frozen waffles, though I’d never tell him that. Many of the waffles we’d tried had been good. I’d quickly grown bored with Xander’s complaints, as had the others.

“We should turn this into a drinking game,” Cami whispered from my side, having been talked into joining us by Bentley.

Bentley heard her and giggled, leaning in to add, “Every time he says waffle, we do a shot.”

“That would make this more entertaining,” I agreed.

We all sighed, probably all for the same reason. There was no alcohol served at most of the places Xander dragged us off to. Xander had been ranting about the consistency of the waffles for ten minutes. I’d never even considered whether or not a waffle had the right consistency. These must be really bad since he’d accepted my offer to share my club sandwich.

“You should put him out of his misery,” I told Cami.

Xander stopped his waffle rant, and his focus shifted to Cami. “She’s right. I need waffles, and you’re holding out on me. I’ll bet you’ve even made them for my friends.”
