Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series: Box Set 1

Plus, the stability of being in one place would also help the band as we established our own label.
All of us could use a little stability. At least for a little while.
As everyone quietly climbed in the party bus that was about to take us to the airport, several of our friends looked to be in desperate need of stability or something like it.
Cleo and Tansy looked none the worse for the wear. They were bright eyed, and they chatted animatedly with Jett who sat between them. He seemed relaxed and satisfied. His fingers were linked behind his head, and his legs stretched out into the aisle.
Sky had on dark glasses and no makeup. She was quiet and didn’t do more than give Izzy a weak smile when she greeted her. It seemed she might have partied too hard last night.
Gina sat rigidly next to Maddox, her eyes narrowed. The expression on her face as she spun her engagement ring around her finger was unreadable. Maddox’s eyes were filled with sorrow and regret. Every few minutes he glanced up at Sky. He looked so tortured that I was truly concerned for him. Things always hit him harder than anyone I knew. I needed to make time to talk with him, just the two of us.
Wilder sat with his arm resting around Brittany’s shoulders, but their vibe was incomprehensible. Their melodies weren’t quite in harmony. Maybe something was going on between them.
“What’s up with everyone’s weird expressions and vibes?” I finally asked when no one had said anything for several minutes.
A chorus of “nothings” rang out. I shook my head incredulously.
Britt glanced at Wilder then at everyone else. “You can’t ask that, Daw. You know that what happens—”
Everyone else joined in with Britt and said, “—in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”
I turned to Izzy, and we both shook our heads at the absurdity of our friends. That was the saying, but I had a bad feeling that it was a lie. That what happened in Vegas for a few of the people we cared about would not be staying in Vegas.
I couldn’t think about it anymore at the moment. For now, I was anxious to get back home. I had a song to finish writing, and Izzy and I had a wedding to finish planning.
I couldn’t wait for our new chapter, our new melody to start. We were already living our forever. But I was beyond ready for it to be permanent.
Sneak Peek
Turn up the Tempo, book 4 in the Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series is scheduled to release early in 2020.
One sweltering night… and morning after. He set the tempo, and she matched him step for step. No strings. No hearts.
HER
It was supposed to just be a one-night stand. I wasn't supposed to catch feelings. He's a rock star and having feelings for him would be devastating. And I'm already struggling — no job, no home, no love life. Besides, I don't believe in love or happily ever after. Fun and orgasms are much more concrete.
HIM
Just one night. Usually just one round. That was all I was good for. It was all I ever wanted. It kept girls from getting clingy. Of course with her, I wanted multiple rounds and the next morning. But when I left, that was supposed to be the end of it. So, why can't I get her laugh out of my ears? Her smile from behind my eyelids? Her touch off my fingertips? Her moans out of my dreams?
What happens when love turns up the tempo? Can the rocker learn to keep up?
Thank You
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Dawson and Izzy’s story. As a reader, I know just how many book options are out there for you to spend your time and money on. It means a lot that you gave me a chance. Their story means so much to me. My first published story. I’d love to hear from you about what you thought of my brand of love story.
I want to explain how this story came to be. One night as I was trying to go to sleep, a new character started speaking to me in the form of a letter. It was Izzy. So, I immediately set out writing Dawson and Izzy’s story, putting my other book on hold. This second chance romance was destined to be my debut story. I never intended for it to be a trilogy. But Dawson and Izzy had a lot to say and work through. I hope you love them as much as I do.

About the Author
So, I know these things are generally written in third person as if someone else is talking about me. But I just can’t do it. LOL. It may be “unprofessional,” but I’m just me. And I hope that’s OK with you guys.
I’m a Carolina girl, through and through. I have lived in North Carolina my whole life. I’m a wife, a mom, a scientist and a freelance editor. And I’m really excited to add author to the list.
For as long as I can remember, reading has been my favorite way to pass the time. I always have a book with me and usually am reading more than one at any given time. Editing for indie authors gave me a unique glimpse into the indie publishing world. It’s a world I’m really enjoying becoming a part of.
Let’s Keep in Touch
I’d love to hear from you guys. Tell me what you think of Dawson and Izzy. Recommend a great book for me to check out. Let me know what typos you found within my pages. Whatever you want, I want to hear from you.

Acknowledgments
Wow. I never imagined I would be doing something like this. Writing was never really on my radar until a couple of years ago. It’s been a long process, and I’ve learned it really does take a village to do something like write and publish a book. I’m going to do my best to thank everyone in my village. If I miss someone, it isn’t because you aren’t important. It’s because the list is monstrous.
First to my husband, Brian, who has always encouraged me in any endeavor I decided to undertake; thanks isn’t enough. You’re the inspiration to every romantic thing that pops in my mind. And to my son, Matthew, for being quite understanding when work for Mommy seems to never end, I love you.
Thank you, Leslie, for being by my side for nearly three decades, loving and encouraging me and offering your expertise on all things art related in this story. Your willingness to read and give honest feedback as I went was invaluable. And thank you to Leslie’s other half, CJ for your help on the music side of things.
Thanks to Alora for starting my feet moving down this path with a shove of encouragement after a brainstorming session for your books. And thanks to you and your daughter, Elora for your help with the photo edits for the covers for Dawson and Izzy’s story.
Susan, lady, I don’t even know what to say. You have been my backbone a lot. You are my voice of reason, my confidant, my friend and my cover designer. Thank you first of all for giving a beautiful face to Dawson and Izzy’s story. Your work is stunning. Thank you for your friendship and support. I’ve needed it so many times to keep putting words to paper. Without you, I probably would’ve let this thing sit in my computer forever.
My beta team has grown and changed over the course of writing this story, but each member has been critical to making sure I nailed each chapter of Dawson and Izzy’s tale. Leslie, Crystal, Krysta, Yanette, Jill, Heather, Amanda, Marcy and Michelle, you all have been wonderful with giving advice, feedback, encouragement, and fr
iendship.
So many authors extended friendship to me on this journey. Ann Marie, Tempi, Athena, Anne, Kennedy, Elizabeth, Arell, and so very many others, your friendship and wisdom were vital during this experience. Thank you all for inspiring me and encouraging me to pursue this dream.
Rebecca and Heather, thank you both for pushing me to write my best version of this story. I can’t even begin to thank you for your ability to drive me to be better.
Nathanie, thank you so much for not only polishing my words, but also loving my characters and worrying about them.
Karen and Silvia, you each had a hand in editing parts of this story, and I greatly appreciate your elbow grease and red pen when it came to helping this story shine.
Special thanks to several authors who were willing to allow me to shout out their own creations within my story either by having Dawson and Izzy “read” their books, having their characters tattoo mine or perform songs within my storyline. As a reader myself, I highly recommend the books.

Thank you to Whiff for helping me create something so very unique. Izzy’s special perfume mentioned in the story is an actual perfume that I worked with a perfumer to design. It really is called Happily Ever After, and it is amazing. If you want your own bottle of it, here’s the link to it https://www.whiff.com/products/charli-happily-ever-after
My ARC team, there are not enough words to thank you for all your help and encouragement. You all mean so very much to me. I think I have the best ARC team out there.
