“I don’t suppose I could convince you to wear the leather again.” I leaned back in my chair and chuckled.

“No, that was who I was when I was a young man. After I couldn’t ride anymore, I decided this was a much better life for me.” He slowly pushed himself to his feet, barely able to stand on his one good knee. “It’s a good thing, too. If I wasn’t such a damn good lawyer, you’d be sitting in prison for the rest of your life.”

“Five years was enough.” I exhaled sharply and stood. “It feels strange knowing that I’m going to see the outside world again.”

“Yeah, luckily you didn’t get off many shots, otherwise you’d be looking at those stone walls forever. If there was a dead cop on the other end, it wouldn’t even matter.” He motioned for me to follow him. “I set you up with a place to stay. It’s the least I can do.”

The outside world was nothing like I remembered. Technology had changed, people had changed, and the town of Silver Springs was no longer friendly to the Devil’s Favorite Sons. It didn’t matter if I tried to rebuild the MC, because we didn’t have anything left to protect. There were drug dealers on every corner, people wearing patches I didn’t recognize cruising through town, and when I tried to get a cup of coffee, I was refused service. Even the family that agreed to take me in seemed hostile and I got the feeling that I wasn’t exactly welcome. I decided that it was time to start over and put my past behind me. There was nothing left for me in Silver Springs except for bad memories and tombstones.

  ONE YEAR LATER

“If you’re looking for a good time, there are plenty of other clubs that will cater to a cheap fuck.” The ravishing blonde proprietor of Club Infinite Fantasy leaned back with a smile. “If you just want to earn some money, I can probably find a few fantasies you would fit into quite nicely. One of them might even be mine.”

“I’m tired of that.” I shook my head back and forth. “I came to Club Infinite Fantasy because I hear you offer something a little more intimate.”

“Ah, so you’re looking for a custom fantasy?” She nodded. “If you’ve got the money, we can build anything you want.”

“Can you erase these?” I slid my jacket off my shoulder and pulled down my shirt to reveal my scars.

“No, but if you’ll give a little time, I’m sure I can find something to help you forget they even exist.” She slowly stood to her feet. “Come with me.”

I felt out of place in New York. I had couch-surfed my way up the east coast, spending time with other clubs that were friendly, but I was tired of the MC life. None of it felt right without my brothers riding behind me. I ended up in the Big Apple, working at a bike shop and finding peace for the first time in years, but it just didn’t scratch my itch. I always dreamed of finding someone to settle down with, possibly having a couple of kids, but with the MC life at the forefront of my existence, it wasn’t possible. I couldn’t raise a family while I was dodging bullets. With that life slowly fading into the rear-view, I looked at other options.

I kept hearing about Club Infinite Fantasy. It was talked about in whispers, but I never went more than a couple of days without hearing someone mention it.

Club Infinite Fantasy was supposed to be a place where you could find anything. If you had a lost love and you wanted a carbon copy to fuck, you could get it. If you were looking for something that went deeper than that, they could craft any fantasy. The problem was that I didn’t exactly know what I wanted. I had hopes and dreams, but I felt like those days had passed. It wasn’t hard to find a date. I could usually find someone that wanted to fuck.

Fucking is easy. Love is hard.

It was easier to find a cheap slut than an actual date, but I didn’t really remember how to take someone out. I patched into the MC when I was sixteen and dropped out of high school. I never had any of the normal shit like a homecoming dance or a prom. I didn’t miss it until I was sitting in prison, reflecting on what could have been. There were no regrets about my club, but I wondered how my life could have been if things had turned out different.

“Ah, yes.” Angelina walked around the table, letting her fingers drag on the leather. “You have a complicated idea of life.”

“So do you.” I tugged at the cuffs on my arms. “I’m not usually the one getting tied down. I thought it was going to lead to something fun, but I’m just feeling teased at this point.”

“Would you like for me to do something for you?” She moved her hand across my stomach. “Maybe give you a little release?”

“Are you offering?” I felt my cock getting hard in my pants.

“No, put that away.” She tapped the head before it was fully engorged. “I’ve seen enough of your past to know you wouldn’t get the happiness you’re looking for, even if I would enjoy it.”

“You learned all of that from my burner phone?” I tilted my head with a smirk on my face.

“No, we had to dig a little deeper, but our program was put together by the best.” She chuckled and started to unfasten the cuffs. “You don’t want a slut or a girl that will give you one night of pleasure. You want something deeper—something that is a little more solid.”

“Maybe.” I rubbed my wrists and sat up. “What does that mean exactly?”

“It means that you don’t get to fulfill your fantasy.” She motioned to the darkness and a beautiful woman emerged with an ice cold beer on a tray. “The only way you’re going to find the happiness you seek is if you become the fantasy.”

“What the fuck does that mean?” I took the beer and sipped it as she unfastened my ankles.

“You’ve had a complicated life and you can’t expect someone to trust you as their happily ever after, but there are plenty of girls that have never walked on the wild side before desperately searching for that kind of adventure.” She reached out and pushed my jacket away from my scars. “You’re perfect for that.”

“What do I get out of it?” I snorted and took another drink of my beer.

“You might just fall in love.” She pulled her hand away and smiled. “It might take a while, but I think you’ll get there when you find the right one.”

“I guess I can live with that.” I nodded and leaned forward. “When do I start?”

“That’s the best part.” She grinned and extended her hand. “If you’ll go into that room over there, you might just start tonight.”

The room she referenced was small, but there was a fridge full of beer and a chair that had a one-way mirror. I sat down behind it and lit a cigarette, watching as she brought a woman into the room. It was a redhead and she was a bit older than me. She didn’t really hit any buttons, so I was glad when she pointed towards one of the other rooms and an older guy emerged. Several women were strapped to the leather table, just like I had been, while their fantasies were revealed. Club Infinite Fantasy definitely seemed to fit the bill, but my fantasy was totally unfilled. I was almost ready to call it a night and forget the whole thing, when a woman walked in that really caught my eye.

Savannah—even her name rolls off the tongue with ease. I’d like to spell it slowly while her clitoris did the dance of pleasure.

Angelina started talking to Savannah and suddenly a television screen next to me came on. Savannah’s life slowly unfolded in pictures as the images changed. She was radiant. Based on what I saw, it looked like she was the polar opposite of me. She led a good life, graduated from high school, and did well in college. She even had a job working for one of the buildings downtown that loved their name so much it lit up the night sky. I continued to stare at her as she rejected the guy Angelina offered, and then I started to realize my place.

I came looking to save myself, but I might just have an opportunity to save her. Any guy that would ignore her as long as that asshole did is a fucking idiot.

The light over my door lit up and I looked at the monitor. It said I was just one piece of her fantasy. I wasn’t sure what she was referencing, but if I could help her heal the broken heart she got from
the lousy bastard that threw her away, I was happy to oblige. I stepped into the room and emerged from the darkness. She looked even better on the other side of the mirror. I felt something churning inside me, something that I had never felt before. I didn’t care about myself. I didn’t care about my own needs. All I wanted to do was help the gorgeous woman in front of me live out her ultimate fantasy.

“Okay.” She nodded and sat up on the table. “I guess I’ll give it a shot.”

“You can’t ride in that dress.” I smirked. “I hope you have a pair of jeans somewhere.”

“We have everything.” Angelina nodded and turned to Savannah. “Go to your room and I’ll have something suitable sent over.”

  Chapter 5: Savannah

I felt my heart beating in my chest while I waited for Angelina to send over a proper change of clothes. I was never the kind of girl that would have gotten on the back of a motorcycle, much less dated a guy that rode one. Jedrek was so different from Dominic that my thoughts confused me. I had no idea why I was attracted to him, why his eyes made my heart flutter, or why I felt a strange desire to peel that jacket off so I could see the rest of his gorgeous tattooed flesh. That wasn’t the kind of girl I was. I didn’t have those kinds of thoughts. I considered another glass of wine, but before I could put much thought into it, there was a knock at my door.

I guess my clothes are here.

I changed into jeans, t-shirt, and a thin denim jacket. I assumed I would need it, even if it was warm outside. A few minutes later, I was walking towards the exit of Club Infinite Fantasy feeling like a completely different person. I stepped out into the night and saw Jedrek sitting on a black motorcycle. He smiled and held up a helmet. It was almost like my legs were controlled by someone else as I walked towards him. He slipped the helmet over my head, fastened it under my chin, and tapped the back of his motorcycle. I climbed on and felt the engine roar to life. The motorcycle started to roll and I had to wrap my arms around him. A few minutes later, we were headed towards the interstate and everything inside me was screaming for him to stop. I thought I was going to throw up if he kept hitting the gas.

Oh my god, I’m getting dizzy.

I closed my eyes and leaned against his leather jacket. Even with the wind blowing the hair that protruded from the helmet in every direction, I could smell his scent. It was a rough scent that burned my nose as the combination of leather, smoke and metal filled my nostrils. He blazed onto the interstate and opened up the engine. I slowly opened my eyes and watched the world zoom by. I felt—alive. My heart was doing somersaults and my stomach was desperately trying to push everything I had eaten earlier in the day to the surface in a wine-soaked bath. The metal between my legs was the only thing keeping me from certain death as the pavement zoomed by underneath my feet. That, and the tight clutch I had on Jedrek.

Why does this feel so good?

I had lived a safe life. Every risk I took was calculated. I never told Dominic how I felt because the risk scared me. On the back of that motorcycle, watching the world disappear in a kaleidoscope of color, I felt myself letting go of the past. It was like the skyline of New York represented everything I grounded my reality in while the darkness ahead was my future. My future was uncertain. I didn’t need to forget my past, I just needed to embrace the opportunity in front of me. I needed to have fun. I needed to forget Dominic, Nancy, and all of the things forming a blockade around my heart. I tightened my grip on Jedrek’s waist. He felt like a chaotic version of safety I didn’t understand, but I wanted more.

“UH, THIS IS AN ODD choice for a date.” I looked at the tattered building in front of me with motorcycles lining the sidewalk.

“Yeah, just trust me.” He stepped off his motorcycle and helped me remove my helmet. “This is a rough crowd, but it’s a safe place.”

I’m not so sure about that.

Jedrek removed his leather jacket and pulled out one from his saddlebag that had a demonic skull on the bag. The words along the back Devil’s Favorite Sons and there were stitched holes that appeared to be covered in dried blood. He put it on and I noticed a patch across his heart that indicated he was the president. I had watched enough Sons of Anarchy to know that patch meant he was important, but I never met anyone in real life that was part of a motorcycle club. He led me inside and several guys immediately nodded to him. They had various patches on their backs, and it appeared that multiple clubs were represented.

“Silver Springs.” A guy at the bar snorted and chuckled. “I heard you guys got wiped out.”

“We did, it’s just an honorary patch now.” Jedrek shrugged as he helped me take a seat at the bar. “I wear it out of respect.”

“Yeah, I hear that. My club got patched over a few years ago, but I didn’t want any part of the shit they wanted to do. Let me buy you two a drink.” He tapped the bar and the bartender walked over.

“I’ll take a Bud Light. What do you want?” He turned towards me.

“Uh, I’m guessing they don’t have wine?” I raised my eyebrows and the bartender shook his head. “Okay, I’ll have the same.”

When in Rome? This version, at least.

“Yeah, we’ll have two on draft if you’ve got it.” Jedrek nodded and leaned back on his stool.

“Coming right up.” The bartender nodded and grabbed two glasses.

“So what is this place?” I looked around the bar, taking in the atmosphere. “There are so many clubs represented. You all get along?”

“There aren’t many clubs in New York, but lost souls drift by from time to time. This is neutral ground. Nobody owns it and you’re free to drink here if you don’t make trouble.” He reached out as the bartender brought over our beers. “Here’s to having a couple of drinks and staying out of trouble.”

Jedrek explained how things worked at a place that was defined at neutral ground while the guy that bought our drinks chimed in randomly. It was fascinating to see it in real life. I had always assumed it was glorified for television, but it sounded like they lived out those moments and then some. Jedrek started talking about his MC and I was horrified to hear how it ended. He was so dedicated to his patch, but it seemed like that life was something he wanted to put in the past except when he honored it at a place like the one we were at. The more he talked, the more interested I was. His voice was rough, his demeanor was rugged, but I found myself getting drawn into his words and captivated by the man he had become after he put his past behind him.

“It takes a brave man to wear that patch.” I heard a voice behind us and I turned to see a large Hispanic man standing a few feet away. “Especially when your club had so many enemies before the police put bullets in your charter.”

“This is neutral ground.” Jedrek turned towards the voice. “I’m just honoring the past.”

“Yeah.” The man snorted and nodded. “Well, the past has a funny of way of not forgetting.”

“Chavo, you know the rules.” The bartender cleared his throat as he spoke. “Nobody fights here.”

“That’s fine.” Chavo chuckled and leaned forward. “I’ll be seeing you, President.”

“Should we go?” I grabbed Jedrek’s arm as Chavo walked away. “I feel like we should go.”

“Yeah, that’s probably a good idea.” Jedrek nodded and stood up. “How about a movie?”

“Sure.” I followed him towards the exit. “That sounds safer than this place.”

“There’s a theater downtown that shows some classic horror movies. Any chance you like those?” He climbed onto his motorcycle and helped me adjust my helmet.

“Actually, I love them.” I smiled and nodded.

“Me, too.” He cranked his motorcycle and helped me climb on the back.

I couldn’t believe Jedrek liked classic horror movies. I devoured them in high school when I wasn’t busy with schoolwork. I loved laughing at them while nursing a slight bit of terror while the lights were out. Dominic hated them. Jedrek bought popcorn and soda before we headed into t
he theater to enjoy a double showing of Scream and Scream 2. I was tired, but once I heard the music, I was engrossed in the film, even if I had watched it half a dozen times. As I sat there next to Jedrek, it dawned on me that the profile match Club Infinite Fantasy used to bring us together must have recognized that we both enjoyed them. I had a few mentions on social media and an old blog I started in high school that never went anywhere. I wondered what else we had in common that was still undiscovered.

“OKAY, I HAVEN’T BEEN out this late—ever.” I suppressed a yawn when we walked out of the theater.

“You must not live, then.” He chuckled and took my hand. “I bet I can think of something that would wake you up.”

“Yeah?” I smiled as I felt his hand clutching mine. “What’s that?”

I wanted the kiss even before Jedrek pressed his lips to mine. Something about it felt perfect. My emotions had been tossed in every direction. I had felt everything from fear to terror before the horror movies made me laugh. Jedrek had made me put more of Dominic in the past over the course of several hours than months of dwelling on the memories had done. I felt passion in his kiss. It was more intoxicating than any glass of wine had ever been. I wanted him. I wanted that beautiful tattooed body against mine. I wanted his muscles covered in sweat as he held me tight in the moonlight. I felt my hands moving underneath his shirt—it was like electricity against my fingertips. He pulled away from me and his eyes had a hunger I had never seen before. He wanted me as much as I wanted him.

“I think we should go back to the club.” He let his hand drift down my arm until he found my hand.

“Your suite or mine?” I couldn’t believe I had said the words, but they were in the air before I even thought about them.

“You have a suite?” His eyebrows raised. “I just have a room with a cot.”

“Then I guess you’re coming home with me.” I turned towards his motorcycle. “Can I drive?”
