Billie’s eyes slid across the room at her girl Novah that was on the dancefloor with Durand. They were happy and it showed with the big grin she wore. Novah stopped dancing to wink at Billie and Billie smiled.

Carter had been detained by the cops and was now awaiting trial. He’d been charged with attempted murder on his wife Melanie along with a handful of other charges. He was facing fifteen years in prison and Billie was certain that he would do time.

As Billie glanced over at Normani, Dreux kissed her neck.

“You good?” he whispered in her ear.

“Yes, baby I’m more than good. I love you,” she murmured.

Dreux kissed her neck again and she smiled.

“I love you too ma,” he promised before going back to his conversation.

Billie watched Tru feed Normani and she giggled. The bullet had changed him so much and she loved how attentive he now was to Normani. Tru had turned out to be a good dude after all and that was why Billie had flown down with Dreux to attend his father’s funeral a month prior. Normani and Tru was now living in Memphis, saying they loved the peace it brought to them and Billie missed them so much. However, she was happy for Normani and all that she’d accomplished. Her DVD and clothing line for River was still going strong.

Billie thought of her own life and smiled with glee. She hadn’t seen Malachi in months. He was now with Reese and they were preparing to have their own child. Malachi offered to sign over his rights to Dreux and Dreux happily accepted. It hurt Billie but she slowly found peace with it and knew that it was Malachi’s loss. In the end Dreux was more of a father to her son than Malachi could ever be.

“Let’s go dance baby,” Dreux said tapping her leg.

Billie stopped reminiscing to stand. She held out her hand and Dreux stared at her as he stood up. He led her out onto the dancefloor and pulled her into his arms. They danced slowly to the song that was playing an upbeat tune. Billie laughed when she realized they were the only people dancing slow.

“Baby we out here slow dancing to this,” she giggled.

Dreux shook his head as he peered down at her.

“Ma, we dance to our own tune. Kiss me with your fine ass,” he demanded huskily and Billie happily did as he requested.

  the end…
