I Plan on Forever (Never #3)

by Stefanie Jenkins

Kyler and I turn to watch him slowly approach the bar.

I look up at Ky, who is watching Finn and Lauren with narrowed eyes. “Babe, who is Finn, and why would Lauren care if he’s back?”

He exhales loudly before clasping our hands together and bringing our joined knuckles to his lips. “He’s the love of my sister’s life. Well, he was. Come on, let’s go say hello to some more folks.”

It hits me like a ton of bricks that Finn Reynolds is who Lauren was talking about last night. He was her once-in-a-lifetime love. But if I had to guess just from this interaction just now, I think it’s safe to say their story isn’t quite over yet.

Kyler and I are deep in conversation with his Uncle Ed and Aunt Carmen, who traveled here from New York. His aunt is telling us about how she accidentally killed all the koi fish in the pond in their backyard when I feel two hands gently touch my shoulders.

I look up to find my brother smiling down at me. Even with these wedding shoes on, he still towers over me. “Sorry to interrupt, but any chance I can steal my sister away for a dance?”

Kyler laughs. “Of course, just remember to give her back.”

He leans down and presses a brief kiss on my lips.

“All right, all right, you two. There’s plenty of time for that,” my brother jokes.

I turn to face my brother raising an eyebrow. “Says the man who just disappeared with his wife for twenty minutes.”

Kyler throws his head back in laughter. My brother has no shame. He just shrugs before leading me to the dance floor.

Zach spins me around the dance floor to the sounds of “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers before pulling me into his arms. I watch various couples dancing, but one couple catches my attention. I find the last two people I expected to see. Lauren and Finn. I notice the way they sway side to side with Lauren’s head on his chest. Yep, I will definitely be asking her about him.

“You know, I’m proud of you, little sister.”

I tilt my head to the side. “You are? For what?”

The smile on my brother’s face widens. “Yeah, I am. I mean, look at all you have overcome these past few years.”

I chuckle. “I could say the same about you too, Zachy. You’re married and a father. We’re both happy.”

  Happiness.

If you had told me six years ago that it would be an emotion I would feel every day, I would probably have laughed, but that is what Kyler Lawson brought into my life. I was lost, lonely, and too selfish to realize that life was moving on whether I wanted it to or not. I had pushed everyone from my life away, and it didn’t matter to me that we all were dealing with the same loss. I missed out on so much, but I’m so thankful that I came home when I did and met Kyler. Sometimes I wonder, had I not left or come home, would we have still ended up together? I remember his words that day sitting on my parents’ porch that makes me believe that everything honestly did happen to bring Kyler and me together.

“But…if we had met then, I would have been attracted to you. That much was clear the moment I opened the door when you were standing on the porch, but you weren’t ready then.”

“And you think I’m ready now?” I sat up straight and turned my head toward him, looking deep into those chocolate-brown eyes. Seriously, those babies should be illegal.

“Yes, baby, I think you are. It’s not always easy, but no matter what, I’m here for you to get you through the good days and the bad. I’m not going anywhere.”

My brother leans down and whispers in my ear. “He’d be happy for us, you know.”

My grip on my brother tightens. A part of me will always love Emmett, which will never change, but my love for Kyler runs stronger and deeper.

The only words I can find are, “I know.”

I soak in this moment as we continue to sway.

There is a throat-clearing behind us. “Mind if I cut in?”

A smile crosses my face, as I know that voice. I turn around to find my sexy husband standing there with the sleeves of his dress shirt rolled up his forearms. I look him up and down, and he seriously looks like sex on a stick.

I am so lost in my perusal of him that I don’t even notice that my brother has walked away until strong arms wrap around my waist and I am tugged into the hard chest that I had so much fun exploring yesterday morning.

  “Hey, baby. I missed you.”

I blush. “You’re so cute. How could you miss me? It hasn’t even been five minutes.”

Ky shrugs. “I just did. You know I always miss you when we’re apart. You’re the other half of my soul.”

“Ooh, quoting your vows already?” I smirk.

“You know it, baby. I’ll quote them every day for the rest of my life.”

I lay my head on his chest as he kisses my temple. I close my eyes, and I can’t believe this is my life now. I’m a married woman.

“You look absolutely stunning, you know that, Mrs. Lawson?”

I feel his warm breath on my ear, and it sends goose bumps up my arm. He tips my chin up with his index finger, so I stare into his eyes. I completely forget about everything and am completely consumed by the man in front of me.

“Say it again,” I whisper against his lips, closing the distance.

He pulls back, which is the opposite of what I want. His hand rests on my hip.

  “You. Look. Absolutely. Stunning.”

I close the distance again, wrapping my arms tighter around his neck. “No, not that part.”

I play with the hair on his back of his neck. He closes his eyes and emits a low growl, completely forgetting that we are in the middle of the dance floor. I can feel his smile against my lips.

“Mrs. Lawson,” he whispers before crashing his lips against mine.

The world fades away, and it’s just me and Kyler. That’s how it seems to be for us—nothing and no one else matters.

The kiss deepens as his tongue slips into my mouth, and my hands squeeze the back of his neck, bringing him closer. I don’t ever want to let this man go; however, the change of songs brings me back to reality, and I remember we are not alone. It would probably be frowned upon for us to get it on here in front of all these people. I pull back breathless and flushed.

He kisses the tip of my nose and clears his throat. “I love that I get to do that for the rest of our lives.”

I straighten my dress, thankful that the material hides my hardened nipples.

“Me too.” I take a step back from him and look around.

I notice that Finn is standing on the dance floor, where I had seen him with Lauren before, but Lauren is nowhere in sight. I make a mental note to check on her—I have so many questions.

“How about we finish making our rounds, share a few more dances on the dance floor, and then we get out of here? I am dying to get you out of this dress,” Kyler says.

I walk in front of him and give my hips a little shake knowing that it will drive him crazy. I look over my shoulder at him, bat my eyelashes, and smile.

  “You coming?”

Kyler speed-walks to meet me and wraps his arm around me, pulling my back to his front, and I can feel just how much he is looking forward to getting me out of this dress. He nibbles on my earlobe, turning my insides to liquid.

“Oh, I plan to, babe.” He grabs my hand and takes the lead before looking back and winking to me.

Maybe we should just get out of here now.

I couldn’t wait to get my bride out of the reception and have time alone to celebrate. We quickly said goodbye to everyone and headed to the hotel. I seriously couldn’t wait for it to be just us. Thankfully the hotel we’re staying at for the night was not far. I couldn’t keep my hands off Dani in the limo, and it took all strength in my body to not disappear under her dress and begin to have my way with her.

When the elevator stops with a loud ding, I lift Dani into my arms and carry her to our suite.

“What are you doing?” she shrieks.

  “What does
it look like I’m doing?” I give her a cocky smirk. “I’m carrying my girl to our room, and then I’m going to make love to my wife all night long.”

Dani begins to squirm in my arms, and I laugh.

“Baby, I need you to keep still till we get there, then once I have you naked on the bed, you can squirm in my arms as much as you want.”

I watch as her skin flushes, and I wonder just how far that flush travels down her body. I can’t wait to find out.

As soon as the door to the room is closed, I set my bride down and press her up against the door. I grip the back of her neck as I claim her mouth with my own. She reaches behind me, gripping the back of my suit, pulling me closer to her. If I were any closer right now, I would be inside her, which is exactly where I want to be. Seeing her in this dress, as gorgeous as she is, I have thought about getting her out of it all night.

“Need you out of this dress, now,” I growl against her lips before I swallow her moans.

She pushes herself off the door, and we make our way farther into the suite. Her hands push my jacket off my shoulders and make their way to the top of my dress pants to pull my shirt out. When her fingers graze my skin, I feel like I may not be able to last very long. Every time Dani touches me, it lights a fire in me.

She undoes each button, painfully slow. I’m tempted just to tear the shirt to shreds and send buttons flying.

Who cares if this is a rental or not; it would be worth paying for.

Once the shirt is on the floor, Dani walks us back toward the bed.

The backs of my legs hit the bed, and Dani presses her palms to my chest, forcing me to sit. She nudges my knees, taking her place between them. I groan as she runs her fingers through my hair. My hands trail up her thighs over her wedding dress, pulling her closer to me, but we still have too much of a barrier between us. This dress needs to go.

As if she could read my mind, Dani turns around, looking back at me over her shoulder with hooded lashes. I stand back up to help her out of the dress. My fingers first trail up her arms, leaving goose bumps in their path. She shivers by the time my fingertips are moving across her shoulders till I find the clasp holding together the lace material at the top. I unhook it and push the material to the side. I press my lips to her skin, trailing kisses along her neckline and her shoulder. My hands make their way down over the skin that was shown all night. When my fingers find the zipper, I slowly draw it down. There is no way she can’t feel the outline of my hard cock against the swell of her ass even through the material of her dress.

Dani turns around and instructs me to take my seat back on the edge of the bed. My eyes widen, and my cock grows even harder—which I didn’t even think was possible—at the sight of my wife in front of me. She has pushed the wedding dress down to the floor, revealing a white lace strapless bra and white lace panties. As I take her beauty in, my eyes follow her soft skin all the way to the floor, and I can’t wait to follow this same path with my tongue.

I curl my finger at her, indicating we need to erase the distance between us. Dani steps out of the dress and saunters over to me, straddling my thighs. I brush my thumb over her bottom lip before my lips are on hers, pushing my tongue in her mouth as she willingly opens, needing me just as much as I need her.

I slide her lace panties to the side and insert two fingers into her slick entrance. She fucks my fingers as they pump in and out of her.

“Fuck, Dani, I love how wet I make you.”

The only sounds in the room are the sounds of our heavy breathing and my fingers mixing with her arousal.

Dani grips my shoulders, digging her nails into my skin, and she bites her bottom lip hard.

“Let it go, baby,” I tell her as her pussy walls begin to tighten around my fingers.

I quicken my pace, and Dani loses control. Before she has even come down from her orgasmic high, I have flipped her over and slipped her panties off. I throw them behind me, not even caring where they land. The floor is where they belong.

With one hand I remove my pants and boxers and toss them to the floor as well. There is nothing between us. I kiss my way up her body as her breathing begins to even out. I’m not going to let her relax for too long.

I stop and savor the moment. This woman consumes me. She seriously takes my breath away, looking like an angel of perfection with her hair sprawled out on the pillow underneath her. I am fully lost in my thoughts when I watch her rise to her elbows, chewing on her bottom lip.

“Are you going to stare, or are you going to make do on the promises you’ve been saying all night?” She raises an eyebrow and puckers her lips, taunting me.

A devious smirk turns up on my lips as I crawl over her, settling between her thighs. I drag my cock over her clit and her wet slit, teasing her.

“I love you.” I line myself up to her opening. “And I’m about to fuck you so hard, you’ll be sore for the rest of our honeymoon.”

I slam my cock into her over and over until we are both seeing stars and screaming each other’s names.

Later, we’re lying naked with my wife wrapped around me. Damn, that will never get old calling her my wife. I brush her hair off her face and kiss the top of her head.

“You ready to go on our honeymoon tomorrow?” I ask her as she snuggles closer to me.

“Yes.” She draws out the word, but there is a bit of hesitation in her voice.

I adjust her and she looks up at me. Our eyes meet and I arch my eyebrows at her in question. She has been talking nonstop about this trip. She presses up on my chest, the sheet dropping unveiling the swell of her breasts.

“Don’t get me wrong, I cannot wait, it’s just, I’m going to miss Emme. That makes me sound like a crazy person since she’s not even my kid. I just love spending time with her.”

I cup her cheek, and she leans into my touch as I run my thumb along her cheekbone. “You’re an amazing aunt and will make a wonderful mother someday.”

And I mean it; every time I see Dani with our niece, my breath catches, and I imagine what life will be like with our little one running around.

“In fact, what do you think about having an Emme of our own?” I ask.

She laughs as she settles back into my arms, placing her head in the crook of my neck. “Babe, I’m pretty sure kidnapping is illegal.”

It’s my turn to laugh. Post-orgasm Dani really can’t think straight. She’s so adorable that she hasn’t figured out what I said. I roll her over to her back, and her hair fans across the pillow.

Looking into her baby blue eyes, I say, “I want to have a baby with you—for us to start trying.”

Her smile reaches up to her eyes. “Really?”

“Yes. I want it all with you. I want to see your belly grow with my child, feel him or her kick, and be there when he or she is born. I want the dirty diapers, the late-night feedings, and sleep deprivation. I want all of it. You’re my wife, and I love you. What do you say?”

She shifts so that my erection is lined up directly to her already wet entrance. “Well, Mr. Lawson, you better start trying to put a baby in me, then.”

Sliding into her, I say, “Challenge accepted, Mrs. Lawson.”

To the readers who fell in love with Dani and Kyler, thank you for continuing to support their love by reading this novella. I wanted something light and fun to continue their story with, and I hope if your eyes were filled with tears, it was at least from laughter and not sadness. This journey started with Dani and Kyler and trust me when I say their story isn’t over. I promise we will get back to that bit of a cliffhanger ending I left in Zach and Haylee’s book in Book 3. I hope that when you are done reading this novella, you are even more excited to see what is next for both Lauren and Kate.

Amanda Carol: Thank you for allowing your characters to travel and be a part of wedding festivities, even though they got caught in traffic and missed the epic speech. I love working and collaborating with you. We may not have known each other for long, but it feels like forever. I couldn't have worked through some of these scenes without you.
