The three ended up falling asleep in the bed together. Dan woke up the next morning and showered, while the other two contemplated getting up. “Morning, Boo,” Ryan said, kissing her on the forehead.
She grazed his lips lightly with her fingertip. “Morning, Rye.”
“I don’t think I have ever felt this alive before. I feel like a million bucks.” He jumped out of the bed and flexed his muscles as he smiled down at her.
“You look it, too.”
“Jen, I think we’ve stumbled onto something amazing here. I can’t wait to come home and play together tonight.”
After he left the room, Jenny realized that her feelings for Ryan were changing. Not that long ago she would have said she loved him but was not in love with him. But now… things were definitely different.
Jenny rolled out of bed and started her morning routine. She saw both of her men off, giving each a kiss before they drove to their respective jobs. Jenny jumped in her own car, but just as she was shutting the door, she heard a female scream hysterically. It was followed by the angry squeal of tires. Before she could turn to see what was going on, the vehicle was gone. She figured the woman was having a bad start to the day, but it didn’t faze Jenny because this was the best Monday of her life.
She spent her lunch googling “threesomes”. Jenny was curious to see what other people were doing to make it work and was surprised to find a lot of information on the subject. There were chat rooms, blogs, and even websites focused on the benefits and pitfalls of living a real-life ménage a trios.
Apparently, its official name was polyamory. Jenny even found a website devoted to helping threesome find each other. Who knew?
Three people who loved each other and lived under the same roof were rare, but not unheard of. Their little bit of nirvana was possible if the three of them put a lot of work and love into making it work. Jenny was still worried that her two men would grow jealous of one another but for now, things seemed perfect. Ryan was enjoying his newfound sexual appetite and Dan was in her arms again.
Being in love with two men was truly a fairytale come true, but Jenny couldn’t shake the feeling that fairytales weren’t meant to last.
