“Wow. You’re far away from home. How’d you get here?”

Knowing I need to get out what happened and actually talking about it, I answer. “I was kidnapped by the Bloody Scorpions and brought here. It’s how I met Danyella. We were both captive at the same time in a cell together. I escaped and helped the Royal Bastards find Danyella.” I’m not going into detail about my time in captivity. It’s a memory I’d rather have go away than have it define me.

“Do you have family here?” I ask when Calypso grows quiet at my confession.

Calypso’s hand stops inking my arm before she starts back up again. Her hesitation tells me she doesn’t want to talk about it. “No. Do you mind if I turn on some music?” There’s something she’s hiding but I’m not going to push. It isn’t my place and I have secrets of my own.

  “Sure.” I shrug.

Calypso stops inking my arm and turns around on her stool. It’s tempting to take a peek at the design, but I hold back. She taps her phone and Adam Levine singing “Beautiful Mistake” filters through the small speakers.

Calypso gets back to work, ending all conversations and Torch strolls back in the room. He’s irritated but pushes it aside when he sees me watching him. I quirk an eyebrow as he sits down next to me holding my free hand.

  “Everything alright?”

“Yeah, Club business.” I huss and he kisses the side of my head. “If you need to know, you’ll know.”

Torch and I talk about everything and anything while Calypso doesn’t say a word. Really getting to know each other instead of fucking. It makes me crave him even more, knowing the man behind the mask.

Calypso finishes up a little while later putting the finishing touches on my tattoo. “Done.” She pops her gum and slides back in her stool, stretching her back.

“Can I look now?” I’m teasing Torch because he kept me distracted the entire time.

Torch smirks, “Yes, Firecracker you can look.”

I grin as I bring my arm up. The design is beautiful red and blue flames licking their way up my arm toward a small white daisy. Above it reads Property of and below it says Torch Royal Bastards MC.

“Torch, this is beautiful.” I admire my tattoo some more. Calypso turns my forearm toward her when I’m done and takes a picture of it. Then she hands me a small tube of lotion after she applies it covering the tattoo. She wraps my arm in plastic wrap.

“Keep it covered for a couple of hours and apply this lotion to it every four hours for the next week. Avoid direct sunlight and ocean water for the first twenty-four hours.”

I take the tube out of her hands and she removes her gloves. “Thank you, Calypso.”

  “You’re welcome.”

We leave the room after Calypso cleans her station and packs up her equipment. “I hope to see you around.”

“You might.” Calypso turns her attention to Capone when he and Danyella walk out of their room. “Thank you for allowing me to ink one of your girls. Can I go now?”

“Thanks for coming on short notice and yes, you can go. Tell Allura we said hello and don’t be strangers.”

Calypso nods her head and disappears out the door. I hear a bike fire up and she takes off without looking back.

“Listen.” Torch pulls me against his hard body. “We have business to do so Bones is here with the cage to take you ladies home. I promise we’ll celebrate when I get back.” Disappointment fills me but there’s nothing I can do about it. I’ve learned the Club comes first.

  “Ok. Please be safe.”

“I will. I promise.” Torch kisses me hard before pulling away and my body craves more of this man.

Bones pulls up to the door with the black SUV Capone bought for Danyella. He has a heated conversation with Torch while the three of us climb inside and once the last door is shut, Bones takes off.

We’re almost back to the Clubhouse when I hear a loud pop and Bones loses control of the SUV.

“What the fuck!” He shouts trying to keep it on the road. Another loud pop and Bones loses all control. We skid to the side and catch the gravel. The SUV flips end over end. I smack my head several times on the window and my ears are ringing. The SUV comes to a skidding stop and I try to look around but I can’t move very well.

Unconsciousness edges its way into my vision but I fight like hell to beat it. My door rips open and strong hands yank me out. I fight with all I have but the blood trailing into my eyes from my head inhibits my ability to see and my head spins.

I smell smoke and burnt rubber when the hands that yanked me out of the SUV drop me onto the ground. I kick out and connect with something solid before a grunt follows and then a fist punches the side of my head. My world goes dark.

Fuck me. Not again. I slip into darkness and there’s nothing I can do about it.

“Torch, now.” Capone’s angry glare is focused on me while Calypso is inking Daisy.

“What’s up, Prez?” I ask when I close the door behind me.

“We’ve got a problem. I just got word from Allura and they found chatter of a shipment being moved tonight. We need to get to the containers and stop them. Word has it Razor will be there.”

“How much time do we have?” I ask running my hand over my bald head and release a deep breath. The last thing I want to do is leave Daisy, but this is important.

“Long enough to get the girls tattooed then we need to roll out. Bones is on his way with the SUV to pick them up and take them back to the Clubhouse.”

“Fuck. I knew Razor was too quiet lately. I haven’t had a chance to talk to Daisy about her birth parents yet. Want me to do that now or later?”

“Later. She’ll need you with her when she learns the news and this cargo is top priority.”

  “And my brother?”

“Yes, your brother will be brought to justice.”

Rage like never before takes over my mind and I need some fresh air. I walk outside and breathe in the salty breeze blowing in from the ocean. The sun is growing closer to the horizon painting the sky red. It relaxes me little by little until I’m calm enough to return to Daisy. In order for us to make it, this job needs to go down. I can’t move on with my life if I’m constantly looking over my shoulder wondering if Razor is going to set me up again. Every fire I have to check to see how it starts. To make sure Razor isn’t trying to frame me again. So many lives lost because of his revenge against me, I didn’t even know about.

I pray to the biker Gods that this is it. Tonight, will end in success and both Daisy and I can move on together. She too will always check over her shoulder until these guys are brought to Royal Bastard justice. I need to protect her. I will protect her with my life.

Walking back inside with renewed strength to get through this, I hear Daisy and Calypso talking. I’m glad they’re getting along. Calypso is part of our sister chapter, Royal Harlots. I don’t know what brought her here but thankful she is. The Royal Harlots are all women who can handle their own. Allura is the President. Sloane is the V.P. Then there’s Divine who’s the Sargent at Arms, Calypso is their Enforcer, Iris is their Road Captain. Duchess is the Secretary, Rebel the Treasurer. Then they have several non-officer members and a few prospects.

I enter the room and Daisy eyes me carefully, appraising my body and it makes me want to beat my chest, throw her over my shoulder and fuck her hard. Daisy shifts in her seat and she licks her lips. I’m one lucky motherfucker. I kiss the side of Daisy’s head and take a seat next to her again, grabbing her free hand. Anything to touch her.

  “Everything alright?”

“Yeah, Club business. If you need to know, you’ll know.” I might sound like an ass but it’s for the best the less she knows, the safer she’ll be.

I learned so much about Daisy and she knows more about me than I’ve ever shared with anyone. It makes my tough interior crumble the more I’m with her. She does something to me. She brings my heart alive and tou
ches my soul. Something I never thought possible. The more time I spend with her, the deeper I fall for her and it hits me like a freight train. I love this woman sitting here in this chair getting my brand on her. I love her and will do anything to protect her. Even kill for her.

Once Calypso is done with Daisy’s ink and she gives her after care instructions, Calypso leaves. Her ass couldn’t get out of here fast enough and I don’t know why. But it’s not my problem to deal with.

Daisy is disappointed Bones is taking them back to the Clubhouse, but it has to be done. I corner Bones when the girls are getting into the SUV.

“I’m trusting you with precious cargo, Prospect. You fuck up and I’ll skin your ass alive. Feel me?”

Bones nods his head. No fear in his eyes at all. He’s almost ready to become a patched member. “I’ll guard them with my life. If anything happens, you have my word it’s because I’m dead.” The conviction in Bones’ voice eases my worry. I slap him on the back and shut the driver's side door.

Capone, Blayze, Red Bear, Trigger, Tiny and me watch the SUV drive away until the taillights disappear. The sun is setting turning everything into a red haze.

Capone’s phone vibrates in his pocket. He pulls it out and reads the text. “Voodoo and Raptor from the Ankeny Chapter are at the diner waiting for us. They had a lead on some gun runners that killed Voodoo’s brother in law’s friend. They volunteered to help us out.”

Glad to have the back up, we mount our bikes and fire them up. Taking off at breakneck speed, we ride in formation to the little diner near the shipping yard. Capone signals to pull around back and hide the bikes. Bear is grinning from ear to ear remembering the last time we were here. The fucker got laid by our waitress in the bathroom.

Voodoo and Raptor come out the back door and we all slap each other on the back. Voodoo stops in front of me and his eyes flash with recognition. “Your Ol’ Lady safe?”

“Yeah, she’s on the way to the Clubhouse with Bones.”

“You’ll want to check on that when we’re done. Something tells me she's in trouble and doesn’t know why.”

Shaking off the ominous feeling in the pit of my stomach, I pull my phone out to text Daisy. She responds immediately and it puts my mind at ease for now.

“Let’s roll boys. We don’t have much time.” Capone orders. I pull my backpack from my saddlebag and sling it over my shoulder. We walk to the shipping yard on foot, sticking to the shadows. Movement from the corner of my eye has us halting in our tracks.

“Trigger and Derange, you two set up ready to snip anyone who tries to escape. Torch, you and Blayze head down and get shit set up. I want to make a statement here. The rest of us will spread out and circle the shipping container.” Capone orders.

“You got it Prez.” I’m grinning ear to ear. It’s been a while since I blew shit up. Last time was with Rael and the Tonopah Chapter.

“Torch, we’ll make sure all the women are in the clear. Then light it up.”

  “With pleasure.”

Blayze and I walk down to our target and I get to work pulling supplies out of my bag. I have a special mix of fuel and oxidizer I call Big Bang in bottles and set the bottles with a timer connected to an app on my phone Red installed. Setting the bottles in six undetected spots, I program the app. Once they explode, the bottles and anything connected to them will disintegrate into ash, untraceable.

“What the fuck you call this one?” Blayze asks, watching me with fascination.

I grin from ear to ear, in my element. “Big Bang.” I place the last bottle in the outside corner of the shipping container.

“How in the hell do you come up with these?”

  I shrug, “Trial and error.”

Blayze’s phone vibrates before he can say anything else. “It’s time. Capone has movement.”

I pick up my ingredients and carefully place them in my bag before slinging it over my shoulder. Making sure my app is connected, we duck out of the shipping container and head back, sticking to the shadows.

Tires crunching on asphalt stops Blayze and I from going any further. Headlights sweep across the spot we’re hunkered down in until shining on one of the containers we just left. Four car doors slam shut and a van door opens.

“Get them out now.” I hear Razor’s voice float through the night and my rage wants to take over. Blayze settles his hand on my shoulder calming me down and keeping me in place.

All the memories this motherfucker did to me come to the surface and I can’t stop them. The smell of burnt flesh, soot and ash come pouring into my subconsciousness. It’s a smell I’ll never forget. Watching my mother and baby sister scream for help while being trapped in our house and me not being able to save them haunts me every single day of my life. All because Razor was a jealous asshole.

“You with me brother?” Blayze whispers, pulling me out of these memories.

  “Yeah,” I shake my head.

We watch from the shadows while Razor motions for someone wearing a Bloody Scorpions cut to open the container doors. Sobs and begging for mercy come pouring out of the shipping containers and my stomach sinks to my toes.

“Get out now, Puntas.” Razor reaches in and yanks one up by her brown hair. She sobs but doesn’t say a word when Razor shoves her down face first putting his boot on her back. “I said fucking move before I fuck her mouth and she swallows my come down her throat choking on my dick.”

Razor yanks the young girl up by her hair and brings her to her knees. He unzips his pants with his free hand and pulls his dick out right in front of the girl's face. “Open, bitch and if you bite, I’ll fuck your ass with my pistol.” The young girl sobs opening her mouth and the rest of the women start coming out with their hands tied in front of them sobbing.

I can’t take it anymore. I can’t watch Razor rape this young girl and not do anything about it. I pull my gun from the inside of my cut and take aim. Blayze does the same. We fire in rapid succession taking out eight of the men before they know what’s happening. The other women scatter at the first gun shot, ducking out of the way. If I know my brothers, they’ll get them somewhere safe.

Razor grabs the young girl by her throat and uses her for a shield as he puts his dick back in his pants. “Back the fuck off before I kill her.”

The gunfire must have alerted Capone and the rest of the Royal Bastards because they’re next to us with their guns drawn. If it caught their attention the police will be following shortly.

“Razor, let her go and drop your gun.” Capone states calmly while aiming his sights on Razor.

“Fuck you, Capone. I give her up and I'm dead. I'm using her to get the fuck out of here. If there’s anything I know about you Royal fuckers, is you don’t hurt women.” Razor backs away from us with the girl directly in front of him, narrowing his target drastically.

  “I don’t have a shot, Prez.” I growl.

“Jase, how's Daisy doing or is it Stormy? Is she safe or are you holding your dick trying to find her?”

My rage boils over at the mention of Daisy and I roar. “She’s fucking safe you pansy ass pussy.”

“You sure about that?” Razor is almost to the boat waiting for him that was supposed to transport the girls.

I glance toward Capone and he nods his head. I lower my gun and pull my phone out, dialing Daisy’s cell phone. “No answer, Prez.” I dial again and it goes right to voicemail. I dial Danyella and Monica with the same results. I then dial Bones, no answer either.

Blayze is on his phone calling someone. “Dagger, where’s Bones and the girls?” Blayze listens to what Dagger says. I watch Razor, making sure he doesn't disappear. “What the fuck! Why didn’t you call someone?” Blayze looks like he's going to kill someone. “Get on the cameras and see where the fuck they are!” Blayze turns to us, “They didn’t make it yet. Dagger is checking cameras.”

That has my attention for a split second and I turn my eyes from Razor. Long enough for him to get onto the boat and fire it up. “So
n of a bitch!” I shout firing at Razor’s boat disappearing into the channel.

“Torch, let’s go. Five-O is on the way.” Capone grabs my shoulder pulling me from the revenge burning in my blood.

I shouldn’t have taken my eyes off Razor. “Fuck!” I scream.

“Light this bitch up and get the fuck out of here now.” Capone orders.

We drag the bodies of the dead guys Blayze and I shot closer to my Big Bang and then we run like hell. We killed around ten Bloody Scorpions and a few Russians but not the ones I wanted.

Red jumps into the van where they put the girls that ran when gunfire rang out and floors it out of the shipping yard, kicking up rocks and dirt. The sirens are growing louder and I know I'm out of time. I run like my ass is on fire. Once I reach my bike, I pull my phone out and hit the app button detonating my Big Bang. By the time the fire dies down, there’ll be no trace of anything on that shipping yard.

Capone fires up his bike and we all do the same, taking off from the diner and heading back to the Clubhouse. Dread fills my stomach at the thought of something happening to Daisy. Not when I just got her.

Twenty miles past the tattoo parlor, Capone signals for us to pull over. Tire tracks leading to a field are visible by our headlights. Smoke billows across our beams and my heart dives. I don’t even have my bike shut off before I throw my kickstand down and leap off it, not giving a fuck if it wrecks. The SUV the girls were in flipped on its top is what I’m more concerned about.

I race to the SUV with Capone and Blayze hot on my heels. I check inside and there’s so much blood, I don’t know who’s alive and who’s dead.
