Roomies with Benefits

And when I felt her close to her end, I whipped myself out and pulled her upright.

“Please, Brandon. Please,” she said breathlessly.

I held her back to my chest, my forearm landing between her tits as my hand massaged her shoulder. I held her tightly to me as I guided my cock back into her depths, her head bobbing back onto my shoulder. She turned her face and peppered my neck and cheek with kisses as I slowly lubed myself up in her juices. I could feel her body humming with frustration as her hands wrapped around to my back.

I wouldn’t be able to deny her begging much longer.

Slowly, I slid between her legs. She sighed with my ministrations when my free hand slowly trailed down to her pussy. Her clit had peeked out from underneath its fleshy hood, begging to be touched as my fingertips grazed the top of it. Melissa jumped, pressing back into me as she stifled a groan, and soon my thumb was circling it as her body jumped back into mine.

Her body moved in ways that were mesmerizing. She bounced back against me while my hips snapped into hers. I could see the flush of her orgasm work up her neck as I kissed and nibbled at her collarbone. I could feel her juices pouring out of her, sliding down the inside of my thigh as we drenched the bed together.

I lost myself in the feeling as I sank my dick faster and harder into her.

“That’s it. Just like that. Don’t stop. I’m begging you. Fuck, Brandon. Don’t stop.”

“You feel so good, Mel. Your pussy’s so tight for me. So wet. Fuck, I can’t wait to wake you up every morning like this.”

Skin pounding skin reverberated around the empty spaces of her bedroom as my fingers worked her swollen clit. She moaned and panted, whimpering at my touch as we both fell to the bed. She was sprawled on her stomach, and I fucked into her like a rabid animal, my hips bucking as my legs pulled taut with my impending orgasm.

“I love you so much, Brandon. So, so much. I love you. I love you. I love you.”

I felt her pussy finally pull me in, milking my cock for its juices as her body began to quake. Her legs contracted and her toes curled, and I could see her fingertips weaving themselves into her sheets. I felt my balls pull against my body, and I planted my hands beside her, lifting myself up so she could catch her breath.

Then I pumped into her one last time before my come spilled right into her body.

“You’re so beautiful. So amazing. Holy fuck, I’m so glad you came back into my—”

My body collapsed down onto hers as we gasped for air together. Her legs parted, allowing me to slide between them as my sweating chest soaked her back. I ran my hands down her outstretched arms, intertwining our fingers as I peppered her back with kisses.

I was in love with my first love, and she was going to be moving in with me.

“I love you, Mel,” I said into her skin.

“My gosh, I love you, too,” she said.

  Chapter 34

  Melissa

I handed the final check to my landlord with a smile on my face. Brandon had bought out my lease, and I couldn’t have been happier. He called it a belated birthday present until I informed him my birthday wasn’t for another couple of months. Then, he called it an early birthday present and sent me on my way.

“You want out now,” my landlord said.

“Yes. And I’ve got a check here that covers the early release fee, plus all the rent you will lose leading up to the end of my actual lease.”

  “Just like that,” he said.

  “Just like that,” I said.

“Are you sure you don’t want to take some time?” he asked. “Keep your stuff there in case things don’t work out?”

“Nope. I’m sure. And since all the money’s upfront, there’s no fighting back and forth about how much it’ll cost. All I expect is for you to return what’s left of my original security deposit in the next six weeks like it states in my lease.”

He sighed as I slid the check over to him. I knew it had been hard for him to rent out that house the first time to us, but this way he had seven months of paid vacancy before he had to find someone else to take the house. But, much to his dismay, he took the check and slid it into his pocket.

“Your lease is broken. Let me go draw up some paperwork for you to sign, and then you can take copies and be on your way. Just make sure to leave me a forwarding address for your security deposit check.”

I got everything signed and left with copies. Today was the day we were moving in with Brandon. It had been about a week since he’d asked, and since then, Sarah had been bouncing off the walls. She was excited to have a new room and to play with Max. She was excited to explore her new home and participate in movie nights with the big screen Brandon had told her about.

But what she was most excited about came from her lips as I stood beside her and watched the moving crew pack everything up for us.

“I’m excited to have a new Daddy,” she said.

I looked down at her as she watched the men pack up her things in her room. I ran my hand over her head, smoothing out her hair as my mind reeled with her statement. In all these years, I hadn’t once realized how much she had missed her father. She had been so young when Carl had passed that I naturally assumed she would just adapt to it being just us.

And then, Brandon walked up beside her and took her hand.

“How about we all go to dinner tonight?” he asked. “My treat.”

  “Yay!” Sarah cheered.

“That sounds wonderful,” I said, smiling. “How long will these guys be here?”

“They’ll pack up mostly everything today and then come for it tomorrow. The big furniture won’t be moved until tomorrow, which means you guys should officially have all of your stuff moved in by Monday.”

“Can I decorate my new room?” Sarah asked.

“Any way you like, sweetheart. Wanna run to the house and pick it out?”

“You’re gonna let me pick?” she asked.

“Oh, yes. You can pick whichever room you like as your own.”

I smiled while the two of them talked, but I was shocked when Sarah walked away from me hand-in-hand with Brandon. Her smile was beaming up at him while his glowing face was looking at her, and my heart melted to my toes. Tears rose to my eyes as I walked out onto the porch, watching him put her in her car seat, and then she did something that made me bury my face in my hands and sob.

She pulled his face to his and gave him a kiss.

Suddenly, I felt arms drape around me as a strong chest came to support my head. I wrapped my arms tightly around Brandon as we lightly swayed on the porch, his heartbeat calming my body. Everything felt so perfect. So right. And this was always the point in my life where things fell apart.

Where my parents kicked me out.

  Where Brandon came back married.

  Where Carl died.

“Nothing bad is going to happen, not while I’m around,” he said lovingly.

“I’m so sorry I’m so messed up,” I said, sniffling.

“Listen to me,” he said as he pulled me out to see him. “You’re not messed up. You’ve been through hell and back. Anyone would have the reservations you do floating around in your head. You might not be my patient, but you’re the love of my life. I’m going to help you sift through all this. One issue at a time.”

“The love of your life,” I said, smiling.

“Yes. You are. But I think Sarah’s anxious to get to the house.”

“Mommy, come on! I gotta choose my room.”

I giggled and wrapped my arms around Brandon, breathing in his scent. We eventually headed over to his house, letting Sarah and Max run all over the place while Max helped her make her decision. It didn’t shock either of us when Sarah chose the room right across the hall from Max’s, and I could just see all the late nights they’d spend running back and forth between them after bedtime.

  “They’re gonna be a mess,” I said.

“A wonderful, glorious mess,” Brandon said.

; We made our way into town for dinner and ended up picking Italian. The kids were wolfing down pizza while Brandon and I shared a plate of spicy chicken alfredo, and all felt right with the world. Max and Sarah were talking about all their toys and what they might want for Christmas. Then Sarah started going on about painting her room, which sparked Max wanting to paint his room.

I giggled as the kids talked, but I could feel Brandon’s eyes on me. Sarah was jabbering on about a princess room while Max was going on about a Ninja Turtle room, and I slowly panned my gaze over to him. The love lighting up his eyes robbed me of my breath, and I knew I would marry this man if he ever asked.

“Could I have a princess room, New Daddy?”

Brandon’s head whipped over to Sarah as his mind wrapped around her statement. I watched him carefully, his eyes darting back to me as I drew in a shaky breath through my nose. He reached over and took her hand, holding it warmly within his as her eyes studied his face.

“Is it okay to call you that?” she asked.

“You can call me whatever you want,” he said.

“Does that mean I can call her New Mommy?” Max asked.

“Is that what you want to call her?” Brandon asked incredulously.

“She’s my new mommy, right?” Max asked.

Brandon panned his gaze over to me and a smile graced my lips. I reached over and took Max’s hand, turning my attention to him before I leaned over and kissed the top of his head.

“You can call me whatever you wish,” I said.

“And yes, you can have a princess room,” Brandon said to Sarah. “We’ll decorate it any way you like.”

“Does that mean I get a Ninja Turtle room?” Max asked excitedly.

“Yep. And I’ll even help you put it all together,” I said, smiling.

“New Mommy, you’re so awesome,” Max said as he threw his arms around me.

My heart was filled with so much joy, I thought it was going to burst. I looked over at Sarah hugging Brandon, and I could’ve sworn tears were glimmering at the corner of his eye. I planted a massive kiss on Max’s cheek before he settled back down into his seat, and the two kids continued to talk about all the things they were going to want for their rooms. Canopy beds and couches to jump on. Televisions on the wall and curtains with their favorite characters on them. I shook my head and sighed as I leaned back into my chair, and I felt Brandon’s hand descend onto mine.

I turned to meet his gaze as a lonely tear fluttered down my cheek, and he leaned in to kiss it while the rest of the world faded into the background.

Yes. Everything was absolutely perfect. But I no longer felt anxious about it.

  One Year Later

My hands were shaking as I held Melissa’s. I woke them all up with a trip to the museum, but today was special.

  Very, very special.

The kids ran hand in hand while they looked around at all the exhibits. Max was telling me about all the dinosaurs while Sarah was regaling Melissa with how beautiful the landscaping exhibits with the animals looked. I held Melissa close to me, her body pressed into mine as her arm wrapped around my body. I kissed the top of her head while the kids raised a fuss, but I couldn’t help it when I heard Melissa’s stomach growl.

  My palms started to sweat.

“Hey,” I called out to the kids. “You guys hungry?”

  “Yeah!” they exclaimed in unison.

“This is exhausting,” Melissa said breathlessly.

“Such a shame. I was hoping to make this a yearly tradition.”

“I actually kind of like that idea. Every year, around this time, we could bring the kids out so they could enjoy things. Not sure what they’re gonna do once they get bigger, but it’ll work while they’re young,” she said.

“Then we’ll reevaluate once they're a bit older. For now, let’s just enjoy it,” I said.

They ran in front of us to the cafeteria as Mel and I jumped in line with them. I nodded to the greeter, shaking his hand before I squeezed it twice. We went through the line and gathered up all the food we could possibly want and then found a comfortable booth along the wall lined with windows. It was a beautiful day, and we still had the outside exhibits to see, so I wanted the kids to get excited for our adventure outside before we returned home.

The music playing softly over the speakers slowly rose in volume. Enough to catch Melissa’s attention. She started looking around for someone to talk to as the kids started singing along to the song, but all I could do was bury a smirk.

And then, the song came on. I Think I Wanna Marry You by Bruno Mars.

“I like this song,” Sarah said.

“You do, huh?” I asked, grinning.

  “Why is this music so—?”

Just then, someone came up beside her and started mouthing the lyrics. He was dancing and twirling, and the kids were giggling at him. They clapped their hands as people began to rise from the seats, and one by one they all fell into a choreographed routine. Mel’s jaw was unhinged with surprise as I smiled fondly at her reaction. The kids were squealing and clapping their hands while Sarah danced to the music in her seat. They twirled and whirled. They picked up partners and tossed them across the room. People were clapping their hands and snapping pictures, but I was only focused on one thing.

The small little box pressed deeply into my thigh.

Just as the main dancing couple looked as if they were about to get married, I slid from my seat and got down on one knee. I pulled out the box from my pocket and raised it up into the air, snapping the top open as everyone around us gasped. Melissa’s eyes peeled from the dancing couple as her eyes fell to the sparkling ring, and instantly, her hands flew to her mouth.

I saw tears fill her eyes as I drew in a deep breath.

“Melissa Jensen Conway, not taking you as my wife the first time was single-handedly the dumbest thing I’ve ever done in my life. There wasn’t a moment that went by that I didn’t miss you, and the moment you stepped into my office, my heart leaped out for you. I loved you despite every tear on your face in that first session. It just took me a little longer to realize it. Mel, you are the tried and true love of my life, and I know I want to marry you.”

“Mommy, what’s going on?” Sarah asked.

She looked over at her daughter as she held out her arm for her. Sarah scooted in, pressing herself deeply into her mother’s body before she looked down at the ring.

“Sarah, I have a question to ask you, too,” I said.

  “What?” Melissa asked.

  “Okay,” Sarah said.

“I’m asking your mother if it’s okay if we get married. Do you know what that means?” I asked.

“It means you guys wanna stay together forever,” she said.

“It means I love your mother very much. Enough to protect her and care for her the rest of my life. But that means you, too. I want to love you and care for you and protect you for the rest of your life. Is that okay with you?” I asked.

“Does this mean you’ll be a real daddy?” she asked.

“If you want me to be, yes,” he said.

“Mommy, please marry Brandon. Please? He’s gonna be a daddy,” she said, whispering.

Tears were streaming down Mel’s face, and I reached out to take her left hand. Max jumped in, standing behind me as he threw his arms around my neck.

“Miss Mel, if you marry Daddy, can I call you Mommy?” he asked.

And if the dam hadn’t burst before, it sure as hell did then.

“Yes. Oh. Oh, my gosh. Yes. Yes, I’ll marry you, Brandon. And I’d love to be your mother, Max. So very much.”

The crowd cheered as the song looped in for another play, and I pulled Melissa up from her seat. I wrapped her tightly in my arms as Sarah and Max clung to both of us, their smiles bright as I gazed into Mel’s eyes. I was going to spend eternity losing myself in the yellow speckles that reminded me of the morning sun, and I slipped the ring on
to her finger before I brought her hand to my lips.

Mel was speechless, and my heart was soaring with joy.

Her arms wrapped around my neck as she raised her lips to meet mine. My hands pressed into the small of her back, dipping her backward while the sniffling crowd cheered us on. Max and Sarah were grimacing at our kissing, telling us to stop being gross just before Mel giggled against my lips.
