“I’m still trying to understand how y’all haven’t gotten caught by now,” Miracle chimed in.
“Oh, honey, we have, by you. See…women know. Men don’t. The signs have been there for years, but the boys have always over looked them. Mula thought of James as a peasant. He believed that he was beneath him. I guess he never thought I would stoop that low. But, honey, a woman that’s scorned and tired will gladly walk into the arms of a man that’s willing to treat her right. Now several years later we’re still happy…hell…deep down I wish I had married James. Don’t get me wrong Mula was a hell of a man, but the cheating and disrespect was too much.” She confessed.
“When will you tell the boys that y’all have been messing around for this long? What’s done in the dark always comes to the light,” I said.
“Chile, I’m scared that they’ll kill James, especially Adonis. He loved his granddad like no other. Their loyalty is with Mula and will always be with him. Even though James has been in the family for decades, I’m sure they wouldn’t hesitate to murder him if he did something that they didn’t approve of. Mula made my grandbabies vicious.” She said as she shook her head.
“Your secret is safe with us. We’ll make sure they don’t find out at all.” Miracle assured her.
“Grams done got her groove back,” Persia announced.
“Chile, Grams been had her groove back,” she shot back. All of us shared a laugh before we went back to our assigned stations.
ADONIS
I sat in my Bugatti looking at the jets take off while I puffed on my herb. It was Thanksgiving Day and a nigga needed to get extra high, so that I could enjoy this feast later on. Ramses and Turk were on the side of me talking about problems with their women, and I sat back and tuned their asses out. This was the first time in a long time that my baby and I were good. Of course her ass whined a little bit but shit that was expected. My sons were ok, the sex was fucking phenomenal, and business was doing spectacular. What more could a mothafucka like me ask for?
“Nigga you listening?” Turk yelled as he tapped the back of my chair.
“Nah, mothafucka, I was thinking about more important shit. What the fuck you say?” I asked agitated. I hated when people interrupted my thoughts. Especially if I was thinking about Briana.
“Should I bring a bitch to the Thanksgiving dinner or not? Spice up the place a little bit. I want to ruffle Miracle’s feathers, bruh. It’s been two fucking weeks since her ass hit me up. I guess she was serious about leaving my ass alone. I don’t know what to do.”
“You should have stayed true to that girl and locked her down. Now she’s getting fucked by another nigga and you can’t handle it. That’s little boy shit and you too mothafucking old to be acting like that.” I said as I passed the blunt back to Turk. The nigga wanted my opinion, so I gave it to him. Any mothafucka that knows me knows that I tell the truth. If he didn’t want it then he was better off asking someone else.
“Matter of fact,” I continued. “I don’t want to hear about Miracle again since you still ain’t trying to follow my advice. You ask me this shit every fucking time we link up, and you still ain’t did shit about it. You up here asking me if you should bring a random ass bitch to Grams’ house because you want to make Miracle mad. Nigga, boss the fuck up and get your girl back, so you won’t have to do all this bitch shit.
“Playing games with a bitch, bruh? That’s feminine. When Briana left me I went after her, roughed her ass up, and made her come home. You keep playing these fucking games with Miracle and watch, she gon’ lose respect for you, fam. That’s all I’m gon’ say,” I said as I lit another blunt. Pops jet was about to land any minute, and I’m sure he was gone want a puff of this Jamaican weed.
“I agree with bruh, Turk, get that girl before she become somebody else’s,” Ramses agreed. Turk was silent as he smoked on the herb and watched the jets as they took off. I hoped he took what I said into consideration before he actually lost that girl. Miracle was a beautiful woman, and any nigga with a good head on his shoulders would easily want to make her his wife. I turned towards Ramses and watched him as he leaned his head back and closed his eyes. He blew out a cloud of smoke and ran his hand over his face as he exhaled. I knew my brother like the back of my hand, and I knew when something was wrong with him.
“Speak, mothafucka,” I boomed.
“Nigga, I don’t want to talk about that girl right now, it’s bad enough I got to deal with her ass at Grams’ house,” he said shaking his head.
“So you mean to tell me you ain’t been hitting that all this time, nigga? You missing out on pregnant pussy? You could at least be going balls deep and still be mad at her ass,” Turk yelled from the back.
“Nigga, I ain’t like you. I don’t know how to just bust a chick up on the humbug. I got to fuck ya brains out, like I’m getting a check for it. When me and P make love…fuck…. whatever the fuck you want to call it, it’s passionate as fuck, bruh. It’s the way she moans my name and calls me daddy that be having my head all the way the fuck gone. Then when she squeeze them pussy muscles around a nigga’s dick, I be threw. She know how to fuck my ass so that I come back, and I’m not ready to come back just yet. She needs to realize that what she said was fucked up,” he confessed.
“You staying over Grams’ house tonight with her?” I asked.
“Nah, I’m gon’ go back to the crib. I can’t stay in a room with that woman for hours like that, or ’'ll have her pregnant ass bent over something fucking her brains out.”
“How the fuck you let off then, nigga?” Turk asked perplexed.
“Cold showers work wonders, I be jacking off in that mothafucka daily. That’s how I keep sane or else I would have folded by now,” Ramses confessed. Everybody began dying from laughter as the blunt rotated to me. I peeked out of the window and saw an all gold jet getting ready to land, and I knew that it was Pops. I started the car and drove on the side of the runway where I knew the jet would land. Once I turned off the car, we all got out ready to meet the man who made us who we are today.
“This nigga flying in like he’s the president,” Turk yelled over the planes loud engine that blared in the distance.
“Nigga might as well be,” I said as the plane landed and glided on the runway until it came to a halt. We waited for the door to come down, so that he could hurry up and walk off this plane, so what we could fucking eat. Mothafuckas was hungrier than a mothafucka right now.
“Boys, my boys,” Pops greeted as he walked down the planes steps. “I know y’all mothefuckas better stop standing there and give your pops a hug,” he said. He sat his luggage down. We laughed and walked over as we embraced him one by one. “Is the food done? That long plane ride got me over here starving,” he said as we all began walking back to the Bugatti.
“It’s been ready, Unc, leave it up to you to arrive late. Shit probably ate up by now. Shit probably fucking gone, Unc. All because you don’t know how to schedule early flights,” Turk boomed as he shook his head. Pops laughed at him as he got into the car. Once we were all in I took off.
MIRACLE
“How do I look y’all, is the dress too tight?” I asked as I spun around. After the food was done, we took it upon ourselves to freshen up before the men arrived. My mom was on her way with Kenneth, which meant Kenneth would see Turk, and to be honest I wasn’t too excited about that. The girls took a break from applying their makeup and turned around to look at me.
“You look gorgeous, boo,” Briana said as she placed her hair in a ponytail.
“I agree, girl, you definitely about to get his attention with that fit,” Persia agreed.
I shook my head as I sat on the bed. I honestly wasn’t trying to get his attention. I just wanted to have a family day when his name didn’t have to be brought up, but I was now starting to realize that was fucking impossible. I guess Grams sensed my uneasiness. She came over and placed her arm on my shoulder as she rubbed my back.
“Honey, you looking bea
utiful,” she said as she kissed my cheek.
“I’m sure you’ll catch somebody’s attention soon,” Briana said as she winked at me. When I didn’t say anything and avoided eye contact, they all turned their attention towards me and stared my ass down.
“Bitch, speak up because ain’t nobody about to play with you,” Persia spat.
“I don’t want to talk about it, because I don’t know what it is yet. I just met him and I don’t want to jinx it,” I confessed.
“Miracle, you need to speak up for real before I get pissed,” Persia said.
“Don’t pressure her, if she doesn’t want to tell us yet then she doesn’t have to. But if she loves us like she claims then I’m sure she will, right, Miracle?” Briana said.
“Tell these damn girls before they jump your ass, plus Grams wants to know too,” Barbra said from the closet.
“OK…OK…DAMN, well it all started when I was at the mall getting some shoes,” I started.
“Can I get this in a size seven, please,” I asked the store clerk in Nordstrom’s. It had been a week since Turk and I spoke. I felt as though I needed to spend his money and say “fuck him” even more. I planned to fuck up his credit card by having a mini shopping spree. I decided against it at first, but the pain this caused me made me do it. Now, several hundred dollars later, I was in Nordstrom’s buying shoes left and right, just for the fun of it. I had done so much shopping that I constantly had to walk to my car to put bags in my trunk, because I couldn’t carry them. Plus I didn’t want to draw too much attention to myself.
“Let me go to the back and check to see if we have that size for you,” the store clerk said. Her eyes lit up with a fake smile plastered on her face. The funny thing about it was she only saw me as a dollar bill. She and I both knew the commission that she was about to make off of my ass was about to be pretty damn high, so in my opinion she could save the fake shit. As I sat and waited I scrolled through my phone checking to see if I had any missed calls or texts. I didn’t. I placed my iPhone back into my purse and took the opportunity to scope out the store. I wanted to see who was shopping just as hard as me.
“Excuse me, miss, are you by yourself?” I heard a deep baritone come from behind me. I rolled my eyes, because I didn’t want to be bothered, but I figured I could just let him know that I wasn’t interested and he would leave. I turned around in my seat and was met with a tall, handsome, chocolate man that resembled Morris Chestnut. The younger Morris Chestnut that played in, Two Can Play That Game. He was dressed to the nines in an Armani suit that was tailored to perfection. He was muscular in all the right places and had to be at least 6’1. I was honestly stuck and couldn’t speak, because I didn’t expect this man to be this fine. I knew he was way older than I was. He had to be.
“Cat got your tongue, beautiful?” he asked as he held out his hand. I extended mine and was surprised by how soft his palms were. Turk’s were usually rough from the work he did in the streets. I prayed that they didn’t know each other and would never find out about each other for that matter.
“I’m Miracle, and yes I’m by myself,” I said. I watched the clerk come from the back with the shoe I wanted.
“Do you mind if I join you? My name is Donald,” he said as he licked his lips like LL Cool J. It’s funny because a few weeks ago I would have thought this man was completely corny, but right now I was game.
“I don’t mind, it looks like she has my shoe, so I don’t think I’ll be in here that long.” I said.
“I’m having a little shopping spree myself. I’m celebrating a win for a major case,” he said proudly as he fixed his tie.
“I’m guessing you’re a lawyer then?” I asked as if I wasn’t interested. On the inside I was hoping he would say yes. That meant he and Turk would probably never cross paths.
“Yes, I’m a lawyer…what does a beautiful lady like yourself do?” he asked.
“I’m a full-time mother and student,” I said nonchalantly. I got up and went to the cash register. He followed closely behind me, and watched me as I pulled out Turk’s black card. I swiped it without even paying attention to the total that popped up on the screen. It wasn’t my card, so I didn’t care.
“Hmm, a lady that spends ferociously. My mother would like you,” he said.
“Thank you for shopping with us. Please come back again, honey,” the clerk said as she handed me my bags. I looked at her and smirked. I’m sure she couldn’t wait for my ass to come back.
“I’m not interested in meeting mothers and shit right now. I just had a bad break up so I’m chilling. You either fuck with it or you don’t.” I said cutting to the chase.
“I’m going to fuck with it,” he said. I laughed and shook my head because those words coming out of his mouth were hilarious. His personality fit the character Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, yet he was so fine. Either way, I was about to have fun with him for a little bit before I found someone who really caught my eye.
“So y’all been talking ever since?” Briana asked.
“Yeah, he followed me around the store for hours. I guess he liked my attitude, and the way I talked to him. He’s definitely no Turk, but that may be a good thing for me,” I said.
“Well I’m happy for you, baby,” Grams said.
“Me too, let’s just hope Turk doesn’t find out, or both of y’all may get fucked up,” Persia said as she got up from the vanity chair.
“I’m not worried about Turk, and I’m sure he ain’t worried about me,” I said. The doorbell suddenly rang, all of us jumped up realizing it could be the men. This would be the first time I’ve seen Turk in a while, and I wasn’t ready. Persia looked just as scared as I was, and I didn’t know why. Her ass was pregnant by Ramses and had to see him either way. I, on the other hand, didn’t have any attachment to Turk, which was probably a good thing.
“Since y’all standing there looking crazy, I’ll go get the damn door. I miss my baby anyway,” Briana said. She got up and walked out of the room.
Persia and I stood at the top of the steps. Briana checked herself out in the mirror before she unlocked and opened the door. “Mom,” she yelled as my mom walked into the door. I placed my hand over my heart, and let out a sigh of relief when I found out it wasn’t Turk.
Persia along with Barbra walked down the steps to greet my mother and Kenneth, who was sleep. I took him out of my mother’s arms and walked upstairs to put him in one of the guest bedrooms. Once I made sure he was sound asleep, I made it to the top of the steps and saw Adonis walk in to the house. My heart immediately started beating out of my damn chest, because I knew Turk would walk in any minute now.
RAMSES
I stayed outside for a little longer, finishing the blunt that my Pops rolled in the truck. A lot of shit was on my mind, and I didn’t know which was more important at the moment. Adonis wanted me to sacrifice a lot of shit with him, and right now I didn’t know how I felt about it considering the fact that Persia and I were beefing right now. I looked at the front door, and saw her standing there looking beautiful with my seed nestled in her stomach. I took one more puff and smashed the blunt up against a tree putting it out, before I decided to walk up to the front door.
As I got closer I could see her smiling and that made my heart warm. I still loved Persia and would do anything for her, but I just needed to make sure she was really down for me. Right now I didn’t have a plan to do that. Until then she was in the dog house.
“Hey, baby,” she smiled as she extended her arms for a hug.
“Sup, ma,” I said. I walked right past her and into the living room. Moments later she walked behind me with tear stains on her dress. I shook her feelings off and greeted everyone that was in the living room without acknowledging her.
“I don’t know about y’all but a nigga ready to eat,” I said as I rubbed my hands together and entered the dining room.
BRIANA
“Baby, stop… stop it, fuck yes,” I moaned as Adonis rubbed on my
clit. I was in the middle of helping Grams carry the food out when he grabbed me roughly by my dress and dragged me into the wash room. He told me he didn’t want to have sex, and that he just wanted to know how much I missed him. I wasn’t stupid, though. I could see the lust in his eyes. His fingers went deeper into my wetness, and my eyes literally bulged out of my head as I tried to cover my moans. I dug my teeth into his shoulder as he slid his thick manly fingers in and out of me. He then pulled up my panties and helped me off of the washer. He towered over me as he stuck the fingers he fingered me with in his mouth. He closed his eyes as he savored my sweet taste then stuck the same fingers in my mouth.
“You know daddy missed you, right?” he asked. His voice was so deep and raspy.
“I missed you too, baby.” I confessed as I giggled like a school girl.
“You missed me? Yet you was just telling me to stop? You know I don’t like the word no, right, ma? That makes me want to keep going,” he said as he gripped my ass and stuck his tongue in my mouth.
All of a sudden the door flew open and there was Turk and Grams. Turk had a bag of chips in his hand, enjoying the show, while Grams looked at us like we were crazy.
“If y’all don’t get y’all asses out of my damn washing room with that shit. Turk, hand me my got-damn oven mitten, so I can dish out some ass whooping,” she yelled. Turk’s ass wasted no time and happily came back with six different oven mittens.
“Grams, Adonis told me on the way here that he ain’t afraid of you. He said you old as shit… you gon’ take that from this nigga, Grams?”
“You said what, Adonis?” she asked perplexed.
“Man, this nigga lying Grams. I ain’t say no shit like that.” Grams wasted no time landing two blows to both of their arms.
“Grams, what the fuck, fam, I was on your side,” Turk said. Grams slapped the shit out of him again, and Adonis busted out laughing. I stood there quietly as I felt my boys move in my stomach. I couldn’t be mad at Grams. I was just happy me and Adonis weren’t in the process of fucking. Then I would have been so embarrassed.
