Becoming Blue (Chubby Chasers, Inc. #1)

“Hmm.” I’ve lost the ability to speak. My eyes close, and I lean against him. Giving him permission to do all of these things to me.
He grabs a handful of my hair, exposing my neck. A moan escapes me. He licks the side of my neck, up to my earlobe, which he sucks into his mouth. The slurping noises he’s making are magnified in my ear. His hands come around to my waist, his thumbs circling on my exposed skin. “I want to taste your tongue,” he whispers right into the shell of my ear before running his tongue along the outer edge.
I nod into his chest, rubbing my cheek there. He walks us to the couch, still licking my ear. He sits me down and he sits next to me, pulling me into his arms. “Will you let me taste your tongue, Bonita?” His voice is raspy, lust-filled against my ear.
My arms encircle him, drawing him towards me, giving myself to him. But it’s not enough. “Tell me, Bonita. Can I taste your tongue?” He gives me a close-mouthed kiss, so gentle. His touch, his words, are my undoing. “Yes, Javi, please taste me.”
He rubs his lips across mine. Rough to soft. His tongue licks my lower lip over and over. He moans into my mouth when my lips open for him. His tongue enters my mouth, causing a rain of sparks to erupt in my lower belly. He rubs his tongue along the sides of mine, slowly nudging my tongue until I start to move it against his on my own. “That’s so good, Bonita,” he whispers into my mouth. His hands tighten on my arms, pulling me even closer, almost onto his lap. While holding me, his kiss deepens. His tongue darts into my mouth, over and over, until I push the tip of my own tongue into his mouth. His thick lips seize the tip, sucking gently. My pussy clenches at his wickedness. I push my tongue deeper into his mouth and he takes it all, sucking it, licking it. There is nothing I can compare this feeling to, how hot he makes me feel. My body tingles. I feel swollen in my private areas, needy. He makes me want to be a whore, his whore.
As soon as I think this, my hands go to his chest, pushing lightly, but letting him know that I need a break. We both surface for air, me panting, him kissing the side of my neck. “You taste like you were made for me,” he murmurs against my heated skin. “And I’ll never get enough of you.” His words, his whispers, his touch, do something to me. I feel like I’m under his spell. I go to stand and almost fall into his lap.
“Here, my love.” I look up as he stands and offers me his hand. “Come, let me feed you.”
Before rushing into the bathroom, I tell him to make himself at home as he heads into the kitchen to look for plates for the pizza. I shut the door behind me, letting a long sigh escape. He’s hotter than I thought. I giggle as I undo my pants to pee. Yep, totally wet. The crotch of my panties is soaked. I double wipe and examine my face as I wash. It’s incredible. I’ve got a flush high on my cheeks. The hair I worked hours to straighten is tousled around my face. I smile at myself. You look like a girl who’s having a good time, I think, before winking at my reflection. Then it’s back to the lion’s den.
Incredibly, Javi feeds me every piece of the meal. It’s somehow more intimate to feel his fingers on my lips, in my mouth, placing morsels on my tongue, than the kissing was. My body hums throughout the meal. Once he dabs my lips with the napkin, I almost jump him. That’s how tightly he’s got me wound.
“Would you like some wine, Bonita?” He holds up a glass, but I shake my head. I’m feeling a slight buzz already. He’s the most intoxicating thing that’s ever passed my lips. I watch his lips as they encircle the edge of the glass, taking in a big gulp. He turns towards me, pulling my lips to his, sealing his lips over mine. The wine from his mouth trickles into mine. Simply erotic. I swallow what he gives me, enjoying the Javi-flavored wine.
When his tongue enters my mouth, I’m ready. More than ready. This time it’s my tongue that seeks out his. He leans into me, and I lie back on the couch, welcoming the nudge of his hard erection. He lies between my legs, fully clothed, and grinds against the seam of my jeans. I want more, would give him more, but he’s more than content with what he has.
I love the way he tastes and could eat him up. His lips are full, sealing my mouth, breathing my air. His hands roam over my sweater, awakening desires in me that I never knew existed before this very night with him. Without a word, he pulls away and heads to the bathroom. The apartment’s dark, I just lie on the couch wanting more of him. After a few minutes, I get up, moving to the kitchenette for water and some sense. As I sip, I wonder how far exactly I’d let him go with me. Or how far I want to go with him. All the wicked things I’d like to do to him run through my mind as I wait for him to come out. Is he sick? I feel fine, so it wasn’t the pizza.
Was it me? I’m tempted to listen at the door, see what’s holding him up, but instead I knock. “Javi, is everything all right?” I ask the closed door.
He doesn’t answer right away, but when he does, he sounds different. Distant.
“I’m fine, Bonita. I need a minute.”
Hmm. “Okay, if you need something, let me know.” I head back into the kitchen, eyeing the closed door. Maybe I came on too strong? I grab Sam from the corner he’s lurking in, hugging him to my chest for comfort.
Okay, this is weird. Why won’t he come out of the bathroom? I start on my second glass of water, but think better of it. There’s only one toilet in this apartment. If he camps out in there much longer, I might have to pee in the sink. I pour the glass out, moving back to the couch. Not wanting to embarrass him by knocking again, I lie back with Sam on my chest, tummy full, libido bordering on satisfied, and wait.
I awake with a start. Its pitch-black, and I can barely breathe. My heart kicks into high gear before I realize its Sam. He’s shoved his ass right up against my open mouth. “Didn’t like my snoring, Sam?” He jumps off at the sound of his name. Something feels wrong. I think back, remembering Javi, the dinner, the make-out session. “Javi!” Please, God, don’t tell me he’s still in my bathroom.
I stumble around the tiny living room, getting tangled in a blanket I know I didn’t put on myself. Once I get my bearings and get a light on, I see the bathroom door is open. What? Is he here somewhere? “Javi, are you here?” Nothing but the ticking clock. I head to the bathroom, checking the kitchenette and the small bedroom on the way. No Javi. Seems he dined and dashed. Or more like he laid low-until I passed out-and made for the hills. I’m so astonished at this turn of events, I’m not even angry. I pee, thinking the last butt to touch my toilet was his, make my way to the bed, too tired to solve this mystery tonight, and fall back into a sound sleep.
Chapter 13
Heavy banging on my front door wakes me from a dreamless sleep. Figuring it’s my landlord, I crawl from the bed, yelling, “Yeah, yeah, shut it!” and make my way to the door. I’m half-asleep as I open it, expecting a bald fat man with a cigar hanging out of his mouth, and am shocked awake when the Wonder Twins steam in.
“Good morning, Sara!” They’re both wayyy too chipper and made up for this time of the morning.
“Morning,” I grumble, stealing off to the bathroom without another word. I listen to them chatter away while I pee. I get a real good look at the monster in the mirror. “Ugh.” The tiny bit of mascara I put on last night is smeared all around my eyes. Not to mention, my hair’s a total rat’s nest. I look like the Bride of Frankenstein and am in no way happy about this visit. I’m still in last night’s clothes, haven’t even opened my other eye yet, and I’m supposed to entertain? Let ’em wait.
I brush, floss, and wash my face. There’s no hope for this hair, not without a shower, so I just put it up in a very messy bun on top of my head, spritz myself with the Febreze on the back of the toilet, and head into the kitchen, hoping they’ve brought coffee.
They did. Coffee and donuts. I plop down on one of the bar stools, leaning my head onto my arm. This feels like a hangover, but I just had the one sip. Must be a Javi hangover, then. Javi, the wham-bam-flight man. I roll my eyes, sitting up to grab the coffee Sasha sets in front of me.
Both ladies just eye me while I
drink. “What?” I ask. This is me, baby. Get used to it. “I’m not a morning person.” As if this excuses the way I look.
Gretchen smirks, eyeing her watch. “It’s noon,” she informs me after taking a long look at her watch. Choosing a chocolate éclair from the pink box, she starts eating as I shrug.
“It’s morning somewhere. Plus, I’m not on the clock yet.” I reach over the tiny bar and grab a glazed cruller of my own. “What’s up?” I ask around a mouthful.
“We brought the contract over to make it official.” Sasha sets a manila folder in front of me, complete with a pearly pink pen, with their logo embossed in gold: Chubby Chasers, Inc.
Sasha taps her pointed nails on the bar impatiently. “Yeah, hurry up and sign. Or this one,” she thumbs towards Gretchen, “will have me out scouting meetings again.” She smiles, but I see she’s nervous.
“Why? Afraid I won’t sign after Javi did a duck and run last night?” I see I’ve hit the nail right on the head as she winces at my words. “What was that about anyway?” I reach for another donut, not caring what flavor. I don’t discriminate where donuts are concerned.
They look at each other, debating who’s going to give me the bad news. Gretchen wins, turning towards me with sympathy in her blue eyes. My fingers clutch the bar edge, hoping she lets me down easy. It was too good to be true.
“He embarrassed himself.” Okay, not what I expected.
“I don’t follow. Is this your way of letting me down gently? He embarrassed himself? How? By making out with me?” Maybe this is the new ‘he’s just not that into you.’
Gretchen clears her throat, but Sasha jumps in. “You made him cream his pants, girl! Like a friggin’ teenager!” I slap the high five she’s holding, not understanding, but not wanting to leave her hanging either. Sasha’s giggling, but it’s Gretchen who looks embarrassed.
“He got too excited.” She gives Sasha a warning look. “He ejaculated in his pants and didn’t want you to know. He can be very emotional. He’s a very sensitive man and thought you’d think less of him. I guess he was trying to uh…clean himself up. But he took so long, you fell asleep.”
I’m stunned. I really don’t know what to say to this. “Where is he?”
They look at each other, before Sasha turns to me, “In his room at the house. Locked in his room, I should say.”
“Did he, uh…” I’m really at a loss for words, “I mean, is he, uh…okay?”
Sasha nods, happily digging into the pink box. “Except for utter mortification, yeah.” She munches with her mouth open, happy to be the bearer of this news.
“I’m still trying to figure this out. On one hand, I’m just happy to know that he enjoyed himself last night.” A wicked smile crosses my face at the memory. “But on the other, I’m a little miffed that he couldn’t talk to me about it but had no problem blabbing about it to you two.” There. Take that, Wonder Twins.
Gretchen reaches across the bar, holding my hand. “Sara, we dragged it out of him. He wasn’t even supposed to come over here and bother you. We told him to go slow. He’s just so pigheaded sometimes. Then, when we finally got him to talk, he was just so humiliated and sure you’d never want to see him again.”
“I’m confused, you two told him to go slow?” Why are my boss-friends even a part of the Javi/Sara show?
Sasha nods, a gleam in her eye. “Someone’s got a major crush on you!”
I look at Gretchen, the voice of reason, for some clarity, but she only nods her agreement. “We were afraid he’d scare you off with all of his intensity.”
I finish my donut, and for once, they’re both quiet and let me think. Thinking back, I can’t remember a single guy who’s ever even remotely been interested in me, let alone anyone who’s ever crushed on me. “He sent me my first bouquet of flowers, gave me my first date with an amazing make-out session, and I gave him blue balls.” I hang my head in frustration. “He’s got nothing to be ashamed of. I’m the penis-tease!” I exclaim, wringing my hands.
Out of nowhere, Gretchen lets out a loud guffaw, startling both me and Sasha into belly laughs. I don’t see what’s so funny, but hearing Gretchen chortle makes me laugh anyway. “It’s ‘cock-tease!’” she says, and keeps laughing. It is funny, but I can’t help but feel a twinge of sadness about my strange first date. Which only intensifies to mortification when I think of how bad Javi must have felt sitting alone on my toilet. I’ll have to think of something that will make him feel better about the whole situation.
We finish our impromptu breakfast meeting, going over a few of the points in the contract I’ve got questions about. Gretchen listens to everything with patience, and nowhere is the lady who yelled at me the other night. Sasha lounges on my couch, playing with Sam. As we’re talking about move-in dates, someone else knocks. “Man, its Grand Central Station around here,” I mumble as I head towards the door.
Right on cue, it’s my testy landlord. He must have heard all the commotion and thought now was a great time for the shakedown. “Hey Bruce, come on in.” I give him the best smile I’ve got. I don’t have the rent he’s here for, and it looks like I’ll be leaving without giving any notice, so a smile will have to do. I turn it up a notch, but he just frowns harder at me as he looks around the tiny apartment.
Sasha perks her head up, batting her practiced lashes, but it’s Gretchen he notices. His smile’s so rusty, it looks like a grimace. Hmm, I’ve lived here a whole year and never got a smile out of him.
“You’re late on your rent, Sara. I hate to keep having these conversations with you.” His eyes never leave Gretchen, who smiles demurely back at him. She extends her hand, palm down, over the bar in his direction. He trips over his own feet to take her hand in his own hairy-knuckled paw, before bending and kissing it!
My eyes fly to Sasha’s, whose own eyes are so wide they almost fall out of her head.
After introductions—with Gretchen throwing in a, “Charmed, I’m sure,”—he finally remembers why he’s here. Before I can get a word in edgewise, Gretchen, in her soft, sexy voice is telling him all about my leaving and how I’ll need a few days to get my things together. Unbelievably, he’s nodding, smiling encouragingly, and still holding her hand! I’m surprised he’s not offering to pack for me the way she’s bending him around her little pinky.
I don’t say a word as he leaves, not wanting to break Gretchen’s spell over him. She guides him to the door, him still clutching her hand. He kisses it once more for good measure before she pulls away, gently shutting the door behind him.
Gretchen holds her nails up to her lips, blows on them, and rubs them briskly against her sundress. “And that’s how it’s done, ladies.”
“Uh, thanks?” Relief floods through me because I won’t be the one telling Bruce I’m skipping out.
I sign the contract along with Gretchen and Sasha, and we toast with our now-cold coffee. “I need a shower,” I say, to move them along. Gretchen nods, grabbing the contract and her purse, but Sasha’s butt’s still parked on my couch.
“What? We came in separate cars? I wanna hang out a bit.” She stretches her legs out on the couch, making herself at home as she waves goodbye to Gretchen. “Go put your face on Sara. I’ll wait.” Sam jumps up for more pets. “Besides, I figure you’ll want some company on the way over to get Javi out of his room.”
Gretchen nods before leaving, blowing air kisses, while I head into the shower, trying to think of what I’ll say to Javi to get him to unlock his door.
Chapter 14
I have a week before I move into the house. ‘Getting to know us time,’ is how Sasha describes it. I call it ‘the end of my privacy.’ I need to make a stop, and she won’t even wait in the car for me. She just follows through the store as I try to grab the items I need as discreetly as possible. Sasha talks as fast as she drives, and for someone who’s been alone in her solitude most of her adult life, she can wear on my nerves. I’m beginning to see why they travel in a pack; Gretchen’s there to rein h
er in!
The house is more magnificent in broad daylight. I follow behind Sasha as she slings her purse on the surgery-ready counter and yells out, “We’re home!” to no one in particular. We head to the wall of glass, free of my smudge mark I see, and Sasha opens it like an accordion, before leading the expedition to the pool house. I’m careful around the edge of the infinity pool. The water is pristine, no floating leaves in sight. But she’s used to it, teetering close with every click of her thigh-high boots. While I’m watching her feet, she stops short, and I run into her back, crinkling the present bag I’m carrying in my hands. “In there,” she whispers, pointing to the shuttered pool house.
All of a sudden, I don’t think this is such a good idea. “He’s in there for a reason, Sasha. Maybe he doesn’t want company.” She nods at this.
“You’re right, he just wants you.” She sidesteps me, clicking her way back into the house, leaving me alone. I still haven’t figured out what to say to make him feel better, but I think my present will go a long way towards breaking the ice. Thinking of what’s inside the bag lifts my spirits.
I put the silver gift bag with curly black ribbons down in front of the door, then run around the corner, kneeling down, giggling the whole time. This is so much fun! No wonder Javi wanted to deliver my flowers himself. I find Sasha’s entry for Javi on my phone. Sex machine. I roll my eyes and send a quick text.
