I hoped she was right. I wasn’t sure about going with an all-white suit, but it played up my dark hair and light eyes nicely. Plus it was bridal, it would feel more like a wedding this way. Or so Alexa had said emphatically while we were suit shopping.
“Yeah,” was all I manage to mutter out in reply. It was silly to feel so nervous. We had a life together. We had a child together. And yet, standing here waiting to walk down that aisle I felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders.
The band began to play and Alexa bounced from side to side, as she supported Anderson on her hip. He was so big now, and could even take a few steps, but it would be at least a few more months according to Zeke before he was ready to really walk on his own.
“That’s our cue! See you out there.” Alexa said with a wide grin. She placed a peck on my cheek and was off.
“Bye!” Anderson called back as he left with Alexa. It was his favorite word, and I couldn’t help but smile. He brought such joy to my life.
I let out a few deep breaths in my solitude as I waited to step out. I wasn’t used to being alone anymore. Any time I was worried or conflicted I had Lucas there to listen, or comfort me, or just stay by my side.
After today we had the rest of our lives to be together. Maybe it wasn’t just nerves. I was excited. The music built and on cue I stepped into the light. To my right Lucas emerged from his own room, and instantly the nerves settled. I drank in his presence, the slight crinkle around his eyes as he smiled, the lopsidedness of his smile. It all put me at ease. Everything was right in the world.
“Let’s do this,” I whispered.
We walked down the aisle hand in hand to as the band played a soft orchestral number. I could feel the gaze of our guests, watching and supporting us as we walked toward our future together. We reached the alter, and there was Anderson dressed in an adorable little suit that would probably only fit him for a couple weeks. It was absolutely worth it to have him be a part of our wedding. After all, this wasn’t just for us. It was about becoming a family. Bringing Lucas and Anderson into the pack. It was about having all the aspects of my life in harmony. I couldn’t be happier.
We stood before the pack elder, surrounded by friends and family, ready to vow our lives to one another. With our hands clasped together before everyone important in my life, this really felt official. I was ready to shout it from the rooftops, I loved this man and I wanted to show the world.
“We gather here today to celebrate the bond between Rex Adams and Lucas Reed.” The officiant began and I couldn’t stop the stupid grin on my face. I had been waiting to hear these words since that night in the bar months ago.
“They pledge here today, before friends, family, and pack to join their hearts and their lives. Today we celebrate love in all its forms, and we usher Rex and Lucas into a new phase of their relationship.”
“Until now you have been many things together: friends, lovers, parents. Now you step into a new role: spouses. When you exchange these rings, you are promising to love and honor each other until the end of your days.”
Alexa pulled out the matching pair of white gold bands tucked carefully in Anderson’s suit pocket. He giggled at the shiny objects, and a ripple of awws echoed through the crowd. Alexa handed our son the rings and whispered into his ear. He held out the first one to me and I took it from his pudgy little hand.
“Bye!” He said with a giggle. He loved the word, but he didn’t really understand it yet.
“Bye,” I said back, earning a smile from my son.
I turned back to Lucas who was beaming at both of us. Finally the moment was here.
“With this ring, I pledge my love and devotion for the rest of our days.” I said as I slid the ring on Lucas’ finger. His hands were trembling in mine as he tried to keep in the tears.
Lucas retrieved my ring from Anderson and slid it onto my finger wordlessly. As soon as he opened his mouth to speak the floodgates broke. I wiped the tears from his cheek and in one quick motion leaned in to kiss my husband. Maybe that wasn’t exactly on script, but ceremony be damned.
“With the power vested in me I now pronounce you married. This is where I would tell you to kiss your husband, but it seems patience is not one of the many virtues Lucas has found in you Rex.” The Elder concluded the ceremony.
“I’m used to it by now, you do everything fast,” Lucas said quietly as the crowd broke into applause, and I couldn’t argue.
“Well, fast or not, I wouldn’t change anything. It all led me to you,” I said wrapping my arm around my husband.
We walked back down the aisle under a mist of rice as our guests roared their approval. As long as Lucas was by my side we could face anything and everything that lay ahead.
We had hired a consultant to plan the reception, and it was more breathtaking than I could have imagined. He took our meager suggestions such as “I don’t know, like elegant but not too expensive” and spun them into gold. Each table had a magnificent centerpiece of cascading flowers, culminating in an array of petals scattered under the clear tabletop. It looked like the silverware was laid amidst a field of flowers. Some artful draping of fabric had the cheap rented tent feeling like a modern five star venue, and the lighting was just dark enough to hide any glaring flaws.
“I don’t think we paid Victor enough,” Lucas said at my side as the beauty of the reception sunk in.
“Agreed,” I said, still taking in every aspect. Tiny crystal wolves danced around the dishes on the buffet table, and what a buffet it was. The aroma was intoxicating, and it wasn’t until that moment I realized I hadn’t eaten anything all day. I had been too preoccupied with the ceremony to even think of having a meal.
“I’m starving,” I said, practically drooling. The waft of food in the air was too much to resist.
“Grab me a plate too, I’m going to go get Anderson from Alexa,” Lucas squeezed my hand and disappeared into the crowd.
Being one of the grooms had its perks. Well in addition to the obvious married to the love of my life bit. I also got to cut the line and load up my plates to the brim. With my meal in hand I made my way to the head table where Lucas and Anderson were waiting for me.
“Starving may have been an understatement” Lucas said with a laugh, eyeing the pile of food on my plate.
“I fully plan on being in a food coma until the honeymoon starts tomorrow,” I said digging in to the feast.
“What a romantic wedding night,” Lucas teased.
We had already planned on a calm wedding night since we didn’t have anyone to watch Anderson until we left for the honeymoon the next day. I didn’t mind. A week already felt like such a long time to be away from Anderson. This way we would have one full day as an official family before we jetted off to our tropical vacation.
The rest of the night was a bit of a haze. The glasses clinked and we kissed. The music played and we danced. The people gathered and we told them all just how thankful we were to have them there, and as part of our lives. If someone had told me a year earlier that I would be standing in that spot, with a family of my own I would have called them crazy. The nights of bar hopping and fighting were over, but something much bigger had taken their place. I wasn’t the same, but I didn’t regret the change. Fate brought us together, and nothing would ever tear us apart.

I leaned back, letting the warmth of the constant summer air dance across my body in a light breeze. The sun still hung low in the sky despite the late hour and painted the horizon a brilliant orange. It was like the whole island knew it was meant for vacations, and it was doing its best to make the magic of each day last as long as possible. It was hard to leave Anderson behind for the week, but sitting next to my new husband in a tropical paradise was putting my mind at ease. Besides, he loved playing with Uncle Zeke, and we didn’t have to worry about any medical emergencies while we were away.
“We better enjoy this. I have a feeling we won’t be getting another trip alone for a
good eighteen years.” I said, closing my eyes for a moment to let the breeze wrap around me.
"Seventeen and a half.” Rex corrected.
“Counting down already?” I teased.
Rex wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close to him. He nuzzled his nose against my neck, his hot breath tickling against my bare skin. He could always heat me up in an instant. His teeth grazed at my nape, and I shuddered as a tickle ran through me.
“That tickles,” I said with a shudder, but I didn’t want him to stop. My husband knew just how to drive me into a frenzy. He could make me long for him with a simple touch. In the warm tropical air of our luxury hotel I knew he was going to make me want more than just a touch.
“I need to enjoy having you to myself,” He growled against my throat, “If it’s going to be eighteen years before I get another chance.”
His palm ran down my stomach, tracing the lines of my abdomen and pressing us together. His hard package pressed against my ass, stirring my own lust even hotter. I pressed back against him, feeling his heat even through the layers of cloth separating us. I throbbed and my shorts grew tight as he continued to run his hands along my bare chest.
A delicious drag of his fingers was all it took for me to moan out my satisfaction. It had been too long. Between school and parenting there wasn’t a lot of time left for more carnal desires. We could spend the whole week making up for lost time.
Rex slid his palms across my bulge, teasing my cock with the warmth of his touch. I pressed forward, wanting to feel his skin against mine. Slowly, agonizingly slowly, he unbuttoned my pants, and pulled down the zipper. My hard length jutted out before me as it was set free, and I let out a breath I didn’t know I had been holding in.
My husband wrapped his fingers around me and slowly pumped up and down. He spread my own slick desire down my length, his grip growing tighter as he pumped faster and faster. I thrust myself forward, keeping tempo with his hands. I was so close to the edge. Fuck, he had to stop. It had been way too long. I wouldn’t make it if he kept this up.
I pulled away, breaking myself from his satisfying grip. My breath was heavy and I could feel the flush on my face. No one had ever stirred anything in me like Rex could.
“I’m a little out of practice,” I said sheepishly.
“Maybe I’m just the good,” Rex said with a cheeky smile.
“That’s probably it,” I agreed, returning to his arms. I hungrily took his lips in mine, not giving him the chance to utter some snarky comeback. I devoured his sweet taste as I let my tongue explore.
In one smooth motion I slid to the floor before him, running my hands hard against him as I dropped. I drug the last of his clothing to the floor with me, leaving his thick cock bobbing before me. I parted my lips over his head and took him deep in my wet mouth. He was wordless now as I took him deep, making sure to savor ever bit of his pleasure on my tongue. I moaned around him and he twitched in response. I wanted to make him feel every bit as good as he made me feel.
I pulled back, taking in the sight of him towering above me, but utterly under my control. His head was hung back, and his chest rose and fell rapidly. It would be easy to finish him now, but I desperately wanted him inside me. I ran my hands up the back of his thighs, and planted a kiss right where his muscled legs met his torso.
“The bed,” I suggested, my voice husky.
I slid backwards on the silky comforter, laying down to give Rex full access to my body. I was aching to feel him, and his hungry eyes told me he was happy to oblige.
With a firm grip on my sides he drew me towards him, and I wrapped my legs around his waist, locking us together. I arched my back, allowing his to slowly push inside my hole, filling me until I could take no more. He paused like that, completely inside me, letting me appreciate the fullness. His eyes met mine, and I was almost surprised at how soft they were. I never would have guessed that first night that I would ever see the stone Adonis melt.
I slowly pumped my erection as he plunged inside me. Filling me with slow gentle strokes over and over driving me ever closer towards bliss. Everything went hazy as I erupted, I shook as the waves of pleasure coursed out of me. Rex gushed inside of me, filling me with his warmth. I shuddered again at this new sensation.
We laid still like that in the afterglow until the hot summer air wasn’t enough to warm my chilled skin. After a quick shower we wrapped ourselves under the covers, enjoying the simplicity of our embrace. I absentmindedly played with the dark strands of my husband’s hair as we savored the first night of our honeymoon.
“If we aren’t careful Anderson is going to be a big brother,” I said as I lazily ran my fingers through his hair, not wanting to stop touching him for even a moment.
“It wouldn’t be the worst thing.” Rex replied, with a devious grin.
“No, It wouldn’t” I agreed, drawing my lovers lips to mine once more.
I didn’t need to wonder, I knew that this man was going to make me happy for the rest of my days. We would have a big happy family, and grow old in each other’s arms. I couldn’t imagine a brighter future.

1. Liam
Doctor’s offices always gave me the creeps. It didn’t matter how nice they tried to decorate, or what fancy colors they painted the walls. They were all filled with the same aroma of sterility and death. Well okay, maybe death was melodramatic, but the stench of the sick at least. They might as well just stick to plain white everything and cut the act. No one was fooled. I wasn’t going to enjoy hearing that I had months to live any better in a room with eggshell walls and a nice bookcase.
This particular office was no different. The cream walls and bright photographs lining the waiting room just made me want to bolt. Unfortunately, interim professors had a very limited number of service providers to pick from. It was either here or student wellness on campus, so there really was no other option.
“William Parker.” The perky woman at reception called out my name and a shudder ran through my body. Visions of childhood scoldings from my parents ran through my head.
“Liam,” I muttered under my breath, not that it really mattered.
I trudged after her and found myself in another room attempting to look inviting with seafoam green walls and an assortment of ocean photography. I sat on the table, hoping to get this over with quickly. I knew the drill, poke and prod and send me on my way.
To be fair, it wasn’t the worst office I had seen. Nothing could top Dr. Glinda Evers down in Kentucky. She used every shade of pink imaginable, and none of them were complementary. Even her lab coat was an awful shade of bubblegum pink. Ugh. It made me sick just thinking about it.
There was a quick knock at the door, and without waiting for an answer in walked a man who made me forget all the nasty thoug
hts running through my head.
“Sorry to keep you waiting William, I’m Dr. Zeke Harper,” he said with a brilliant white smile.
His sun kissed skin and golden eyes made him look almost otherworldly. Like he was a bronzed god sent to intimidate us mere mortals with his toned arms and devious smile. Even seated I could tell that he was taller than me, something I wasn’t especially used to at six foot two. His presence was overwhelming, and all I could think about was running my hands across his olive skin. I wanted him to hold me down and… shit, I had to snap out of it.
“Liam,” I managed to get out in the most graceless manner possible.
“Ah, sorry. Liam then,” he said with a smile that melted my insides. “I see that you’re in for a yearly physical?”
“Yeah, for the school,” I responded with a nod.
“Oh? Must be a new policy. I thought they just wanted vaccination records for students,” he said as he flipped through the papers I had filled out.
“I’m actually a professor for some of the summer courses,” I said, blushing red. He clearly did not see me as I saw him.
“Oh, my mistake,” he said, still smiling widely. Nothing seemed to catch him off guard. He breezed through the awkward moments like they were nonexistent. How nice it must be to have such confidence. “This shouldn’t take too long. Just a few tests and we’ll have you out of here in no time.”
“Sounds good to me,” I said. He was captivating, and here I was absolutely devoid of charm. This was exactly why I never had a real boyfriend. Anytime someone I liked spoke to me I practically shut down.
He started simply, measuring my height and weight. Nothing to be embarrassed about there, although I wouldn’t mind putting on a few pounds of muscle. My last doctor had advised I cut back on the gym though, so I would have to deal with being lean for the time being.
“All right, now I’m going to listen to your breathing,” he said, pulling the stethoscope from his neck.
