Ferox Twins

  “...It’s now a serious deal. We have to get to work as soon as possible,” says Motakai.

  Harumi watched all this from the back and did not look surprised at all this, standing there silently…

  [Hotel Room]

  The twins make it inside a hotel room. Michelle is dressed only in her silver bra and silver panties, relaxing on the large white bed while watching T.V. Kazuma is gazing silently out at the open window watching the lit city in the night time.

  “Woo! That was fucking awesome! We’re on the news and everything!” says a joyful Michelle.

  “…Sister, this is just the beginning,” replies Kazuma, “The Ferox Twin’s reign has just begun…”

  Suddenly, a black shadow formed right by Michelle’s bed. This black shadow formed into the hooded man, appearing in the room. Michelle jumped in fear and let out a shriek, but Kazuma stood still, still watching the night city from the window.

  “My goodness, creepy man! Knock next time, will ya?” says a shocked Michelle as she put her hand over her beating chest.

  “…I’m not pleased with what you’ve done with the Ferox Demon powers I’ve given you…” says the hooded man.

  “…What are you saying…?” says Kazuma, turning and facing the hooded man with a curious look on his face.

  “…I thought you two would use your powers for good…” replies the hooded man, “Why did you resort to tactics to eliminate human life…?”

  “…Because it’s fun?” says Michelle with a nervous smile, “I must say, though, Ferox Fidina, the bird demon, made me feel like a totally different person! And the scythe is just way too good!”

  “Heh…! I can say the same. Ferox Minex is the true power I’ve been looking. Who would’ve thought birds were our true spirit animal,” says Kazuma with a smirk.

  “…You two…I cannot reverse what I have done. I cannot stop you, but punishment will be dealt with you two unless you change your ways…” says the hooded man. His body forms back into a black shadow and soon vanishes…

  “…I’m hungry!” says Michelle, covering her body with the bed sheets.

  “…I’ll go order some,” says Kazuma, heading for the door…

  Chapter 22

  Upgrade

  [Dynasty of Spheres H.Q./ Laboratory]

  We arrive at a large laboratory, where many people are dressed in white coats seated at their desks in front of their computers typing in many documents. There were also wires and parts that looked similar to the Dynasty Morpher scattered in some areas of the room. Quite a messy laboratory.

  Kimiko was also in the room, with a white lab coat on, next to a beautiful young woman in a white lab coat. She had long straight brown hair and light brown eyes, wearing glasses. They both looked down at a large desk, where the Xeroz and Aqua morpher were placed, with many documented papers scattered all over this desk, with 3-D diagrams of the Xeroz and Aqua battle armor on them.

  “Alright, Ms. Shirley Temple. We have to upgrade these two as soon as possible. Let the other engineers work on the Dynasty soldier stuff. Capiche?” says Kimiko.

  “Yes, ma’am. For the moment, I advise we create a data chip for the Xeroz and Aqua morphers. In those data chips, we will implant their true upgrade,” says Shirley.

  “Data chip? Insert into the morpher…and power up? Is that what you’re implying?” questions Kimiko.

  “This is something I would like to achieve at the moment. I do have more plans for both…but for now, this is the first step,” replies Shirley, smiling at Kimiko.

  “…You’re so beautiful. Why don’t you have a boyfriend yet?” asked Kimiko, slyly smiling at Shirley.

  “U-Umm… I’m not into dating right now…t-that’s why…” replies a nervous Shirley, looking away and blushing.

  “…Arata says the same thing,” says Kimiko with a smirk.

  “I told you I don’t like Arata!” says Shirley, quickly walking away in a huff.

  “…Ah, well. I’m going to be here for a while it seems,” says Kimiko, watching Shirley interact with other co-workers.

  [Rocky Mountain Fields]

  Elsewhere, in the vast mountain fields, there’s no one but Harumi and Arata, suited in Dynasty soldier battle armor. They both stared at each other silently…

  “…Ready?” says Arata.

  Harumi responds with only a nod.

  Both charge at each other full speed, ready to battle. Arata quickly throws his fist at Harumi, but Harumi tilts her head to the left and goes to swing her fist back at Arata, but Arata glides back, making Harumi miss. Harumi, however, doesn’t stop, quickly whipping out her beam rifle and firing off a barrage of energy shots. Arata quickly glides his feet left and right, doing his best to avoid the shots, and at the right moment, Arata bolts towards Harumi and successfully punches her in the face, making her fly back. Arata charges once again after Harumi, but before Arata could get closer, Harumi can stop herself from getting her body sent flying, and successfully kicks Arata to the face hard, making him fly back and crash and roll to the ground, but Arata quickly hops back up and lands to his feet. As soon as he does, however, he looks forward and sees Harumi charging towards him with a beam sword in her hand. Harumi swings rapidly at Arata, but Arata quickly sways his body left and right, avoiding her swift sword movements. At the right moment, Arata grabs Harumi’s wrist, and kicks her in the stomach, pushing her back before he pulls out his own beam sword.

  Harumi once again stops herself by using her feet as her brakes and quickly charges forward at Arata. From there, Arata and Harumi clash blows with their beam swords with impressive techniques. So impressive that it appeared as if they could chop an arm or a leg if they found the right chance. The two keep going for some time, clearly being evenly matched, however, it abruptly ends as they both clash their fists, causing them both to be pushed back. They both stop, look towards each other, and give each other a nod, all while breathing air through their noses.

  Later, they demorph, with Arata only having on long black pants and black combat boots, and Harumi having on a white tank top, long brown baggy pants, and black combat boots. They were atop of a mountain, eating rice and chicken out of a black box. They both were silently eating, gazing at the far horizon of the city.

  “…Arata, what type of upgrade do you wish to have on Xeroz?” asks Harumi, looking at Arata.

  “…After that fight with that those mysterious people…I’d have to say I need a sword…a sword bigger than my own body,” replies Arata.

  “Really?” says Harumi, raising an eyebrow.

  “Yup,” Replies Arata. “…As a matter of fact, my father once held a blade like that. It was named the Raiden Blade. His most prized weapon, and possibly one of Dynasty’s strongest weapons ever. However, it was sealed away after his death, and cannot be used by anyone else ever again.”

  “Where did they seal the blade?” asks Harumi.

  “Motakai knows the whereabouts…” replies Arata.

  “…So why don’t you ask him to give it to you then? If it’s one of the strongest weapons, then we need something like that for the events that are happening lately,” says Harumi.

  “You’re right, but I and even Motakai knows, that I might not be ready for it,” replies Arata.

  “Not ready?” says Harumi.

  “The blade is not only strong but can be very, very destructive if not trained properly with it. Not anyone can wield it so easily. It’s not your usual sword we use for battle,” replies Arata, “I’m sure my brother think’s I can’t control it too well and may end up causing something I’m going to regret.”

  “So, it really is that powerful, huh?” says Harumi, shaking her head.

  “Yup,” replies Arata, “…So Harumi, how about you? What do you wish for those engineers to upgrade on the Aqua?”

  “…Well…just something to make me way faster in battle is all,” replies Harumi with a shrug.

  “…Simple enough,” says Arata with a
smile.

  “…Now about that Kyo Hayashi…” says Harumi.

  “Has Kimiko talked to him yet?” asks Arata.

  “Yes, she did. Apparently, his father was once a fellow soldier for Dynasty, and even worked alongside the small group Derecka Noshino held,” replies Harumi.

  “Is that right…?” says a surprised Arata.

  “Yes. His father was killed in a mission your father couldn’t partake in since he was badly injured in the previous mission. Kyo has a lot of reasons as to why he won’t join us, although in the end he…kind of is helping us,” replies Harumi.

  “…I don’t know how that guy got that morpher. First, he tries to play superhero by stealing a deceased soldier’s morpher, and now he has a morpher possibly stronger than all of ours,” says Arata, appearing a bit irritated.

  “…I think one day, something’s going to happen to where we will accept him as the final member of the Assassin Enforcers, as what Kimiko and Motakai strongly wants,” says Harumi.

  “Not happening. Not in a million years,” replies Arata,“I’ll have to retire if that’d be the case. If that guy wants to help out, sure, I don’t care. We’ve been together since the beginning we’ve met. I want the Assassin Enforcers to be only a strong duo team to protect Galaxus, and that’s that.”

  Harumi had no words for Arata’s response. She took a bite out of her food and continued looking at the horizon of the city as the wind blew through her hair…

  Elsewhere in this vast mountainous land, there were a mass number of solar bots just arriving into the earth’s atmosphere. As they get closer to the ground, a blue energy ball flies their way and blasts one of the solar bots out of the sky. The solar bots stop in the sky and look to find none other than Kyo Hayashi, Mr. Nexus himself in the flesh, with smoke rising off of his right hand.

  “Another day to scrap you down into dust,” says Kyo.

  The solar bot’s charge after Kyo fast, however, Kyo opens his right hand once more and charges a large blue electrical energy ball. Kyo wastes no time and fires the large ball out of his hand, making the ball bolt and crash into the large group of solar bots, creating a massive explosion in the sky. Kyo descends to the ground and looks up, gazing at the fiery explosion. Kyo removes his helmet and lets the wind blow through his hair as he continues watching. As the fire diminishes, with only a large cloud of black smoke remaining, Kyo looks forward and sees someone in the distance from where he’s standing.

  …Hmm? Why are people out in the middle of nowhere…? thought Kyo.

  Kyo squints his eyes to look closely, however, no later does he do so, his eyes widen with the look of shock on his face.

  “N-No…! It couldn’t be...!” says a shocked Kyo. “Why are those 3 out here of all places?!”

  “No way…!” says a female with binoculars on, jaw dropped at what she saw from afar.

  “Who is it?!” says a young man.

  “Tell us already!” says another young man.

  “It’s…It’s Kyo?!” says a shocked Shina.

  “WHAT?!” says a shocked Zeke and Zack.

  “You’re shitting me…they’re really out here right now…?” says a shocked Kyo, “My identity’s blown for good now…”

  Chapter 23

  Identity

  Kyo and his friends are all eating a box of pizza on Shina’s pink SUV. Everyone appears silent after what’s transpired, but Shina slowly turns her head towards Kyo while chewing, and squints her eyes at Kyo, breaking the tension…

  “…Kyo…what the fuck happened? Why didn’t you tell us?” asks Shina.

  “…Ok, here’s what happened. After we all departed and whatnot, I, for some reason, wanted to see the action for myself, so I headed deep into Tojisa City where there was more danger. I went there and saw a lot of bad shit happen. Even saw a mother and her child about to be attacked by a solar bot with NO soldier in sight. So…I rammed my motorcycle into the solar bot, and surprisingly, despite being hurt badly by the crash, I destroyed it,” explains Kyo.

  “Wow…you wrecked your own bike to save those two…how brave of you Kyo,” says Shina, smiling and nodding. Kyo rolled his eyes at her response.

  “Anyways, after that, a few more soldiers came and took them away. They tried to take me, but I refused. Next thing I know, that soldier trying to take me away was killed in front of me by a solar bot,” says Kyo.

  “Holy shit…!” says Zeke, before stuffing a whole pizza into his mouth.

  “The solar bot came for me, and nearly choked me to death, but…Harumi saved me,” says Kyo.

  “Interesting…the person you despise the most saved your stupid ass,” says Shina, sucking her teeth and shaking her head.

  “Shut up! Let me continue!” shouts an irate Kyo, “…After that, SHE tried to take me away, but decided to steal one of the dynasty soldier’s morpher and go wreck house and save people and shit.”

  “No way you actually did that?!” says a shocked Zack.

  “Yup. It felt awesome as shit let me tell you by the way,” replies Kyo, “I was flying around like a bird, just tearing down those solar bots left and right. It felt nice. However, the fun ended, and the soldiers were finally on to me. I told them I’m trying to help their asses out, but if they want to take me down by force, let’s do it, I give no shit.”

  “Lie,” replies Shina, shaking her head and crossing her arms.

  “Shina, take it as you want it, but I was ready for a fight,” Kyo shrugs, “Before I could do anything, someone hit me from the neck and all went black. Next thing I know I’m on top of a building that’s close to being torn down to rubble, and I see Arata and Harumi battling a tall ass robot, getting their asses whooped. Not surprising for me. I honestly…did not like seeing that…but I must tell you guys, what happened next was creepy as shit.”

  “What happened next?” asks Zack.

  “There was this guy dressed in a black coat and hoodie. Couldn’t see his face at all, and had a deep voice. He told me something about changing destinies and whatnot, to change mine and theirs. I didn’t know what the fuck he was talking about, so I told him if he has something so that I can help those guys out, give it to me. And voila, he gave me this,” explains Kyo, quickly revealing the Nexus Morpher to everyone.

  “Wow…it looks so neat!” says Shina, rubbing her finger on the polished device.

  “You must polish it daily or something, huh Kyo?” says Zeke.

  “Yup. Long story short I transformed into what I call the Nexus, and the rest is history,” replies Kyo.

  “…Damn,” says a shocked Zeke.

  “Incredible…” says a shocked Zack.

  “Quite shocked…that you didn’t take us along for the damn ride!” shouts Shina, slapping Kyo on the arm.

  “Oww! - W-wait what?! Are you crazy?!” says a shocked and irate Kyo.

  “I’ve been trying to hunt that blue suited warrior for weeks now, and finally I found my chance! I witnessed Nexus fight with such swift power, it was unbelievable! But afterward…THIS is the revelation?!” says Shina, pointing at Kyo, who was chewing slowly onto his pizza while giving Shina a glare, “It wasn’t some hunky guy or at least some beautiful heroine, but Kyo Hayashi?!”

  “And what’s wrong with that?!” shouts Kyo, “There’s nothing wrong with that…besides, I think I’m good-looking.”

  “……Good motivation, but in reality, it doesn’t work,” replies Shina.

  “Aww piss of Shina!” says Kyo, shooing his hand at Shina.

  “So, we know who Nexus is. Cool. Kyo, have you joined the Dynasty yet?” asks Zack.

  “Nah,” replies Kyo.

  “…Why?” asks Zeke.

  “Because I don’t want to,” replies Kyo.

  “But that’s stupid,” says Shina as she rolls her eyes, “You always say they need extra help, so here’s your chance to actually help them out!”-

  “NO! Nexus walks alone dammit!” shouts Kyo. Zeke, Zack, and Shina all gave a
n angry stare towards Kyo who stood there with his arms crossed and sticking his nose up looking elsewhere as if he was an angry child. Shina scoffs, and walks up to his face, putting her lips near Kyo’s ear.

  “…Boo, you suck,” whispers Shina.

  Kyo faces Shina and they both lock glares. Zack and Zeke witness the two angrily stare at each other, just until Kyo got closer to Shina’s face.

  “…Nexus, walks alone,” replies Kyo.

  “…Kyo, you’re going to learn one day, I bet you that,” says Shina, waving her finger in Kyo’s face.

  “Let’s get out of here guys. Let’s go to the mall or something, eh?” says Zeke, heading into the car.

  “Yeah, let’s get our minds off the hero of Galaxus!” says Kyo with a smile in front of Shina before heading towards the passenger seat of the SUV.

  “…Kyo, you’re not riding shotgun bitch!” shouts Shina as she runs off towards the SUV.

  [Kamati City/ Mall]

  The group ends up inside a large mall, where it was packed with people. As the group walked along, Kyo had his eyes set at a gaming arcade room.

  “…I’m going to head to the arcade for a little while,” says Kyo.

  “Hey, are you going to try out that new gaming system they have there?” asks Shina.

  “Yeah, just heard they put one there recently. Going to go try it out,” replies Kyo, heading towards the gaming arcade room.

  [Mall/ Gaming Arcade Room]

  Kyo heads into the Arcade Room, where it was busy inside. The room was lit purple, with tons of toys and video games on sale to boot. Kyo walked past the crowd of people, and finally stopped to find two arcade systems in front of him. The two arcade systems were facing each other’s back, with a creative logo above it, named “Diamond Warriors,” No one was seated in either arcade system seat, so Kyo made his way and sat in front of one. Kyo pulls a gold coin out of his pocket and inserts it into the machine. The game starts up and reveals a large cast of characters to play with. Kyo scrolls through who he wants to play and plays the main character of the game, simply named, the Diamond Warrior. Kyo chooses his fighter, and the screen then gives Kyo a message to wait for his opponent. Kyo sits back and lets out a sigh as he looks around, waiting for anyone to come play with him.
