It possible was about 3: am, Natasha and I distinctly heard the bedroom door opened. We both clearly heard the four or so creaking sounds of the floorboard make whenever anyone comes from the bedroom. We both saw the shadow, and almost simultaneously, we both said, “Finally you are awake” The shadow remained.

I then said, “Okay Nicole, we know you are standing there because we heard the door open and the floor board creaked.”

For whatever reason, Natasha and I threw each other a questioning glance as if at that very moment, we both knew it was not Nicole. Something or someone was standing there, but it was not Nicole. Natasha, chokingly mumble, “Stop playing Nicole”

I jumped up from the floor and moved swiftly to the doorway. Immediately the shadow disappeared. I threw a quick glance at the bedroom door. The door was closed. The bedroom doorknob was in arms reach; I grabbed unto the doorknob, turned it and pushed the door opened. I could see that Nicole was curled up on the bed; I went to the bed and shook her. She was in such a deep sleep. I exited the bedroom and pulled the door shut.

As I pulled the door shut, I was well aware that someone or something was standing right next to me

As I sat back on the floor in the living room, I realized Nicole was crying. She looked over at the doorway and then at me. “She followed me here, didn’t she?” Natasha asked. I did not know what to say, obviously, she had, or likely, this was a different ghost.

The following week Natasha gave up her apartment. She moved back into her room at her parent's house. Natasha concluded that if this ghost is going to follow her, she might as well live rent-free.
