She made a list of all the things she did not like about Harrison. If she were ever feeling weak and wanted to cave into his innate sexiness, she would look at this list and remind herself why she should say no to him.
Liz had to think really long and hard in order to make her list. Harrison was bossy. He was overbearing. Harrison could be demanding. He liked things his way all the time. Liz started to feel really good about her list.
Then the good things about Harrison started to fill her mind. His hands were gentle and felt like satin against her naked body. He was an innately giving person. He was a great Dad to Bella. His eyes pierced into her soul like a person she had known for her entire life. He was kind to her. He could hold a very intelligent conversation that always kept her on her toes. His lips were incredible.
Oh, god. How would she ever be able to stay away from Harrison!
Chapter 3
Liz worked hard to avoid eye contact with Harrison every day at work. She committed herself to her job and being an excellent assistant, but she would not give in because of the promise to Bella to stay away from Harrison sexually.
Harrison wanted Liz to give into her desire for him. He knew she wanted him and knew it was taking all of her will power to avoid him. On a daily basis, Harrison tried to flirt with Liz and convince her they could continue their relationship without Bella finding out.
“Bella will get over it. She was just being dramatic.” Harrison said one Friday afternoon.
Liz wanted to believe that Bella could get over it and be alright with Harrison and Liz being together, but she was not willing to risk it. Bella had remained friends with Liz over the last several weeks, and although they were both really busy they were back to their normal friendship. Liz worked all the time; Bella spent her time hanging out with friends. They tried to hang out at least once each weekend.
“I’m not going to risk it Harrison. It’s going to have to just be a professional relationship for now.” Liz said.
Liz continued to work at the law firm and even a few hours at her old job as a waitress. She was committed to ensuring that she had enough money to feel secure, although Harrison had paid off her college, and she was getting paid plenty while working as his assistant. Liz just never really felt secure financially. She did not have a family or anyone else she could count on so she continued to work as hard as she could.
After work on Friday Liz and Bella decided to get together with their friends and go to a dance club. Both girls were single, so they enjoyed hanging out together. Bella wanted to fix Liz up with guys she knew, but Liz always turned down the offer because she was so busy with work and school. Or at least that is what she told Bella.
The truth was that Liz wanted to be with Harrison. She secretly hoped that Bella would magically agree to them being together. It was really difficult for Liz to keep saying no to Harrison. At work, he pulled out all the stops to be adorable, sexy, and just plain irresistible.
On this particular Friday, the girls went to Essence dance club and tried to have a good time. Liz spent her night pretending to have fun while she watched Bella having fun, until Bella finally dragged her out to the dance floor.
“Liz come on. You have to get out here and dance!” Bella screamed as she came off the dance floor for a brief moment.
“I’m so tired Bella. You go have fun.” Liz wanted to rest, she really was tired. Actually exhausted was a better word for how she felt on most nights. Dancing also scared her to death, especially if she did not have a large amount of alcohol in her first.
Liz would have stayed home that night, but she really wanted to build her relationship with Bella back up since they had been getting along good for the last couple of weeks. It might take going out and partying more than Liz liked to, but she was willing to do it in order to keep her friendship.
“You need to let loose. Party. Have fun.” Bella said as she danced around Liz with delight and more than enough alcohol in her system to be having a great time.
Finally, Bella pulled Liz onto the dance floor and forced her into a night full of dancing. It felt good to get some stress out, and Liz couldn’t help but enjoy herself as the two girls started dancing with everyone on the dance floor. They also kept drinking more and more alcohol as the night went on.
Boys and Men alike were all interested in dancing with the two girls, and Liz kept drinking and drinking until she felt comfortable dancing with them. The night quickly turned into a blur.
Liz did not usually party as much as Bella, in fact; Liz couldn’t hold her liquor very well at all. Soon the room was spinning, and Liz needed to sit down.
“I’m good. You go dance. I just need a break.” Liz assured Bella.
The alcohol had taken control of Liz, and she sat there contemplating her life, when a sudden urge came over her to call Harrison. In a normal state of mind, Liz could have combated this urge with some reasoning, but she had no reasoning at this point.
“Liz? Is everything ok?” Harrison answered.
It was almost 2 o’clock in the morning. Certainly not a usual time for Liz to be calling Harrison, in fact, it was odd for her to call him at all.
“I miss your hands on my body.” Liz blurted out over the loud club music.
“Oh really?” Harrison said as he lay back down in his bed. Realizing that this was not an urgent call at all, simply a drunk dial.
Harrison happily played along with this though. He wanted to be with Liz ever since they returned from Boston, but she kept insisting that it would be a bad thing. Perhaps this would be the perfect opportunity to convince her to forgo her plan to stay away from him.
“Yes. I want your hands on my body right now.” Liz said.
She could still feel what his hands felt like on her body. Every night when she closed her eyes she wanted him next to her in bed. It killed her to continue to deny her feelings for him.
“Come here. I could have my hands on your body within the hour.” Harrison offered.
“Oh, I want to. I want to be in bed with you right now.” Liz did want that. She desperately wanted to leave the club and go straight over to his house.
“Yes. I want my lips on every inch of your naked body.” Harrison said as he closed his eyes and remembered how delicious Liz tasted.
His cock got hard just thinking about Liz. Harrison wanted her to come over. He wanted to lay her on his bed and watch her orgasm over and over again. He let his hand slide down to stroke his cock as he thought about Liz.
“I should come over there right now. I want you so bad.” Liz said as she noticed Bella making her way toward her and then quickly hung up the phone.
“Who was that?” Bella asked.
“Oh, just a girl from work,” Liz said.
“Oh, you seemed to be smiling a lot for a girl from work. Are you sure it wasn’t a boy you are flirting with?” Bella joked as she grabbed Liz and dragged her back out to the dance floor.
Harrison tried to call Liz back, but the call went to voicemail. He decided to leave her a message and then went back to bed. At first he thought Liz might actually show up to his house. But she had a key and could get in if she decided to do that. She would probably not even remember calling him in the morning, she had been really drunk he thought.
Chapter 4
The next morning Bella and Liz woke up at Liz’s new apartment. The girls were both destroyed by their night and suffering from major hangovers. Liz had not experienced this level of hangover in a long time. She was already exhausted and feeling this horrible made her cranky.
“I’m pretty sure my brain is going to explode,” Bella said as she tried to roll off of the couch and make her way to the bathroom.
“Mine already exploded,” Liz said while she continued to keep her eyes closed.
“My god. How much did we drink last night?”
“Bella you drank more than any human should ever consume.” Liz joked.
The girls spent at least an hour trying to drag themselves out o
f bed and wake up enough that they could shovel some food down. This was exactly why Liz hated drinking too much. The morning after feeling was just horrible, and she wanted to curl up and go back to bed.
After breakfast, Bella climbed back into her covers on the couch as Liz took a shower and prepared to go to her waitress job. She had cut back her hours to only working one full day each weekend, but it was getting pretty hard to gather the strength to get up and get to work.
“Liz are you seriously going to work today?” Bella asked.
“Yes.”
“Just call in. Stay here and sleep.” Bella urged as she wrapped herself tight into her blankets and tried to hide from the world.
“That’s not the way the real world works. I have to go to work.” Liz said.
“You don’t have to get snotty about it.”
“Whatever. You are spoiled and don’t know anything about the real world.” Liz tried to leave after she said this, but it had struck a nerve with Bella. Liz wasn’t even sure why she was so agitated with Bella. Maybe it was the late night drinking, or because Bella didn’t approve of Liz dating Harrison. Liz regretted yelling at Bella but just couldn’t stop herself from continuing with the argument.
“I don’t know about the real world? Oh Really?”
“Yes. I mean your Dad pays for everything. You have no consequences for anything you do. You don’t know about the real world.” Liz wanted to stop arguing with Bella, she really did, but the words just kept coming out.
“I am not a spoiled brat if that is what you are trying to say,” Bella said as she gathered her things.
No way did Bella want to stay at Liz’s house if she was going to be this grumpy. It was ridiculous how Liz thought just because she wanted to work a million jobs, and go to school, everyone else was spoiled.
“You are kind of spoiled Bella,” Liz said. She tried to say it as a joke, but Bella didn’t take it that way. By this time Bella was in full on defensive mode and Liz, knew it.
“I’m sorry you feel like you need to work yourself to death to be happy. But that doesn’t mean I’m spoiled.” Bella yelled as she stormed out of the apartment.
Liz was left sitting alone on her couch as the slammed door echoed throughout her apartment. Maybe she was just overly tired and was lashing out at Bella. It wasn’t Bella’s fault that she had people that cared about her.
Liz wished she had people that cared about her as much as Bella did. She felt bad for yelling at Bella, but she did not have time to make up with her right now. Liz had a full day of waitressing ahead of her and as much as Bella thought Liz didn’t need the job; Liz knew she would not feel comfortable giving up her waitressing job until she graduated from college.
The day at work went by incredibly slow, and Liz couldn’t help but think that she ruined her last chance at friendship with Bella. It was overwhelming because Liz had worked so hard to keep her friendship together after the incident in Boston. To have it fall apart because of a stupid argument seemed really bad.
Liz tried to text Bella and apologize but did not receive a text back. She spent Sunday in bed recovering from her night out on Friday and her full day of working on Saturday. It felt great to curl up and sleep all day and try to recover some energy before her week began again in the morning.
There were only a few weeks left in the semester, and Liz felt more determined than ever to graduate and get through with college. She was in the home stretch now, and nothing could stop her from getting finished.
Even though, she felt like Bella would be angry at her for a while. Liz hoped that when things calmed down Bella would be alright again. They had arguments in the past and after a couple days both girls had made up with a hug and an apology. Liz hoped this would be one of those situations again.
After pretty much sleeping her Sunday away, Liz felt like she was ready to take on the work week bright and early Monday morning.
What she hadn’t realized yet, was that she had called Harrison and thrown herself at him over the phone. She hadn’t checked her voicemails and was oblivious to everything when she walked into work Monday morning.
Chapter 5
“Well hello, little lady. How was your weekend?” Harrison greeted Liz as she got to work on Monday. He smiled from ear to ear as he said this.
It seemed like an odd what to say hello, but Liz just thought Harrison was flirting in some weird way. Liz couldn’t get her mind off of her fight with Bella, and it really started to bother her as the day went on.
After Harrison finished with an important board meeting Liz found herself distracted and looking off into space as she thought about what she had said to Bella and how she would be able to mend things yet again with her friend. It started to feel very hopeless to Liz. She felt like she just couldn’t do anything right.
Before she knew it, Liz was sitting at her desk totally engulfed in tears. Thoughts of her own mother and her life before, when she was happy, started to fill her brain. She missed her Mom so much. Liz did a good job putting up a strong front, most of the time, but she felt so alone right now. There was no one in her life that she trusted. No one that would call and check up on her or worry if she did something wrong, Liz felt very alone.
She had been caught up in her thoughts when she finally realized the buzzer on her desk phone had been going off. It was Harrison from the board room.
“Yes,” Liz answered as she tried to hide the fact that she had been crying.
“Can you come help gather all these contracts and bring them back to my office?” he asked.
“Sure. I’ll be right there.” Liz tried to wipe her tears away as much as she could and then headed to the boardroom.
She had been doing a pretty good job avoiding eye contact with Harrison lately so she would just keep up with that.
When Liz entered the boardroom, she quickly moved around the tables and gathered up all the contracts. Harrison appeared busy with some work, so she just worked around him. But as she passed by him he gently grabbed her wrist.
“So we aren’t going to talk about the voicemail I left you?” Harrison said with a smile.
“What? When did you leave me a voicemail?” Liz made the mistake of looking up and looked Harrison directly in the eyes when she said this.
“Liz what’s wrong?” He said as he stood up and pulled her close.
Liz wanted to fight him off to pretend like she was fine, but she just did not have the energy.
“Bella and I fought this weekend. I told her she was spoiled, and she got mad.” Liz said as she started crying.
“She is spoiled.” Harrison laughed. “Is that why you are crying?”
“No.”
“Then why?”
“Because I have no one in my life. No one that cares about me. I’m all alone.”
“You’re not alone Liz. I care about you.”
Harrison pulled Liz close to him. He did care about Liz. At first he thought he just had a big sexual attraction to her, but after spending a week working with her in Boston and after working with her the last few weeks; Harrison admired Liz. She worked hard and never complained about anything. Liz always had a way of getting things done and suggesting ways of doing things around the office that he had never thought of before.
“I’m sorry. I just am having a bad day.” Liz said as she tried to pull away from Harrison.
Harrison wasn’t about to let Liz go though. It felt so good to have her in his arms. He hated to see her crying, but he did like to see that she was capable of being vulnerable. Harrison had only seen Liz as this strong woman who never let anyone in. It was nice to see this side of her.
He couldn’t help himself and soon his lips were pressed up against hers.
Liz didn’t even try to resist. She needed to feel Harrison. She felt weak lately and being around him gave her strength. She let her hands slid under his shirt and felt his hard stomach. The desire and longing that had built up over the last several weeks was more than she could take. More
than either of them could take.
Harrison lifted Liz up onto the boardroom table and let his lips kiss down her body. He relished the feeling of her soft skin against his lips; it was like being home again to him. Feeling Liz this close to him, feeling her this vulnerable, he didn’t want to ever let this go.
Liz felt a level of tenderness from Harrison that she had not experienced with him before. He was gentle in every move he made. Every kiss was extra soft. Every stroke of his hand lingered with an increased gentleness. This made her want him even more than before.
Harrison pushed her skirt up and slid her panties off. He took the time to explore every inch of her wetness with his tongue before he unzipped his cock and gently slid into her.
He held Liz tight next to him as he slowly thrust inside of her. Liz couldn’t help but wish for the moment to continue forever. She wanted to be with Harrison. She wanted to feel like this every moment of every day.
As Harrison continued to thrust inside of Liz, he pulled her even closer and kissed her with a deep passionate kiss. Faster and faster he thrust inside as Liz started to feel a rush of orgasm fill her body. She took a deep breath as the rush finally released throughout her body.
Exhausted both emotionally and physically, Liz leaned onto Harrison for strength.
Chapter 6
Liz didn’t want to move. She wanted to stay wrapped up in Harrison’s arms forever. It just felt so perfect.
“So you never listened to my voicemail?” Harrison asked with a smile.
“Nope. I missed it. What did it say?”
“I’m not telling. You’ll have to listen to it.” Harrison helped Liz get herself together, and they walked back to the main office.
“Oh come on. Just tell me.” Liz begged Harrison.
“Nope. It’s better if you just listen to it.”
