The Back Nine
Page 10
Alec stopped the cart a few feet in front of Brooke’s ball. He pushed the brake down and went around to the back of the cart. He reached for her three wood.
“A wood…are you sure Alec?” Brooke raised an eyebrow at Alec and took the club from him. She sauntered to where her shiny white ball gleamed up at her. Brooke glanced back at Alec. She wasn’t going to ask for his assistance on the fairway. It was much too open. The idea of Alec’s body pressing up against Brooke’s was heating the apex between her thighs. She needed to focus on game. This was a big deal playing on the course at his resort. Brooke wanted to score her best game and show Alec she could be a good partner in more ways than one. Brooke eyed the ball, inhaled, and took a hard swing. Thwack. Maybe her ball had made it to the green, probably not, but at least it was only a swing or two away from the tee. Her swing had definitely improved since being instructed by Alec. Yet, she didn’t have the power behind her swing to surge her ball further than three swings to the green. What was it going to take? Bodybuilding? Did she even want that?
“Definitely a wood. If you used an iron, you would be swinging at least three more times to get to where your ball just landed.” Alec took the club from her and tossed it in the bag. The club jiggled back and forth before settling.
“Hmm…are you worried about wasting time with me?” Brooke raised an eyebrow at him.
Alec shook his head. “Brooke, no time is wasted when I’m with you.” He swatted her behind and she jumped. He would embrace her right there on the fairway, but he wanted to find out where his ball had landed. He turned the key to the right. His focus was on retrieving his ball. He pushed the gas pedal down, and they bumped along the fairway as fast as the cart would allow. The seventeenth hole flag waved in the sky. Alec inspected the green. There it was, his ball, a foot away from the hole. Alec refrained from slamming his fist against the steering wheel. He pushed the brake down and hopped out. This was it. He could do it on a birdie or try once more for a hole in one. He stroked the sides of his jaw with his forefinger and thumb. The club was warm. Alec tapped the ball into the hole. He leaned down and grabbed the ball and tossed it in the air.
“Nice. That’s called a birdie, right?” Brooke saluted Alec with her right hand. The sun was blaring down on her face.
Alec grinned. “You’ve been studying. I like it.” He strode toward her.
Brooke laughed. “The only thing I’ve been studying is you.” She cupped his bulge.
Dammit. He wanted to wait until after he asked her to engage in a celebratory sexual encounter. Alec wrapped his hands around the back of Brooke’s neck and tugged her toward his mouth. He licked the bottom of her lip and then released her.
“Come on, we’ve got one more hole.” Hopefully this one would be a hole in one. That’s how he had planned things to be. He knew that after their first encounter on the golf course, if they were ever to be anything more than sizzling sex partners, he would ask her on the golf course. It made perfect sense. The only thing that wasn’t adding up was his game. With each hole he had gotten closer and closer to the perfect shot and then barely missed. Was it his nerves? Did he have some underlying feeling about asking her? He knew he was making the right decision. Things couldn’t be better between them. After finding out Alec owned the resort, he no longer held back on any physical interactions with Brooke. They’d had sex in every single room on the first floor. It was their private joke about making the room lucky for the next guests.
“All right, Mr. Bossy. You sure are in a hurry today.” Brooke slid into the seat next to him, and the cart jerked forward.
Alec turned the wheel to the right and drove the cart back onto the dirt path. The eighteenth hole was definitely the most difficult shot on his course. But he had made a hole in one on it before. He hoped today would be no different. Alec stopped the cart and hopped out. He grabbed the nine iron and handed it to Brooke.
“Let’s see what you can do.” Alec winked at her.
Brooke rolled her eyes. “I think you know what I can do.” She turned and stared directly into his eyes. “Both on and off the course.” With a 180-degree turn, she pranced to the tee. Brooke’s chest rose and fell. Was she nervous? This was the last hole on the course. And so far it had been her best game with him. Alec intended on ensuring they only ever played together. He wanted her to be his partner for life. The vein in his throat throbbed and he ran his fingers through his hair. Would she want that, too? They had never discussed their long game plan.
Brooke’s eyes inspected the white ball that was glistening in the sun. The eighteenth-hole flag was hard to spot. It was so far. And a small pond and large sand divet stood in between them and the hole. It would be difficult, but Alec knew it was possible for her to get it to the pond. Creases formed on her forehead. Why was she so nervous? Was this about the game or something else? It was possible for her to make it over the pond. She glanced at Alec and he nodded back at her. Brooke moved her feet from side to side and let out a deep breath. She retracted the club and swung it with what seemed to be the most power she could give. Thwack. The ball was off, soaring in the air. Alec made like a hawk circling in on its prey and followed it through the sky until gravity began to set in and it fell. It was right above the pond. Would it fall in? It appeared like Brooke was holding her breath. It might have gone in.
He rubbed his lips together. “Nice shot.”
Brooke nodded. “Thanks.”
Brooke remained in her spot. As if she didn’t want to go near him. Alec had intentionally been distant today. He had a plan and this one was not going to be ruined by that douchebag Marshall. This time he had every set in motion other than his game. His swing was a bit off. This angered him. He could tell Brooke was bothered by his reactions to her advances. Control and waiting for the right moment was important today.
He was not going to engage like he had on their previous physical encounters on the golf course. Not until it was time. Seeing Brooke sashay all over the course with her tiny little skirt that she had obviously cut the panties out of was killing him. Now the look in her eyes was tugging at his heart. She seemed hurt and rejected. This couldn’t have been farther from the truth. He shook his head. Focus.
Alec stepped onto the green near the tee and placed his ball accordingly. This was it. His last chance to score a hole in one. If it didn’t happen this didn’t mean he wouldn’t do it…but he had planned it to happen this way. The idea of not succeeding was something Alec wouldn’t consider. He slid the nine iron in his hand and bent his elbows prepping himself for the right position. He reached back and eyed the ball and then the eighteenth-hole flag. Thwack.
The white ball flew in the air like it was a drone on a mission. It was so precise, like it had been calculated from a computer. Alec followed its coordinates until it reached the green. It was too far to tell. He rushed to the cart and dropped his club in his bag. Brooke was already sitting in the front seat.
“Hey are you all right?” Alec inspected Brooke’s face. Her arms were crossed. She blew some hair off her face.
The vein in Alec’s throat throbbed as his eyes met hers. Brooke glanced down at her skirt. If he had been responsive to her touches, she would most likely have been in his lap right now.
“I’m fine.” Her lips formed to thick straight lines.
Alec laughed. “Oh no…” He bit his lip. “Fine.” He air quoted. “That’s one of the worst words to hear from a woman.”
Brooke scrunched her eyebrows together. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Let’s go find your ball…s” She pursed her lips to the side.
Alec cocked his head to the right. “Ah…okay…let’s do that.” The cart jerked forward and Alec pushed the pedal down as hard as it would allow. He intended to find his ball and give Brooke a good dose of himself as well.
The cart slowed, and Alec pushed on the brake. His eyes focused on the round white ball resting an inch from the murky pond. He shook his head. Brooke’s skills had definitely improved but
this shot…. He couldn’t picture her being able to hit the ball, let alone getting it to the green.
Brooke’s eyes surveyed the situation. Her forehead creased, and little beads of sweat formed near her hairline. She shrugged and hopped out of the cart. Like she was a soldier going into battle, she grabbed her weapon from the back of the cart.
Alec followed behind her. “Listen, I know this looks like a difficult shot…well because it is. But you can handle it.”
Brooke raised an eyebrow. “Well at least it’s one thing you think I can handle.” She blew air over her face.
Alec jerked his head back. She was pissed. He had never seen her like this before. Was this all because he hadn’t taken her yet? He shook his head as his eyes followed her behind swaying as she made her way to the ball. She crouched down with her back turned to Alec and inspected the ball. Slowly she stood up, and Alec caught sight of her bare ass. He bit the inside of his cheek. Dammit, she was going to give him a heart attack.
He shook his head. Alec studied the ball and Brooke’s stance. If she hit the ball center on and avoided falling in the pond, it would almost be a miracle. Brooke cut her attention from the ball and then the flag. Thwack. The ball lifted off the wet grass and landed barely on the green. It was incredible. He couldn’t believe she had made it on the green with two strokes. This was beyond impressive for her. Brooke’s golf game had drastically improved. He was so proud of her. She turned around and studied Alec. Her chocolate-colored eyes were sparkling with excitement as their eyes met. He nodded at her.
Alec outlined his jaw with forefinger and thumb. Brooke continued to surprise him daily with how much he loved her. And these newly acquired golf skills. He couldn’t be happier. Having Brooke as his golf partner…and his life partner. This was a hole in one. Now, he would find out if he had made his own on the course.
“Brooke, you made it to the green.” He reached for her hand and tugged her in close to him. “I’m proud of you.” Alec leaned down and kissed her. Softly. Her luscious lips were delicious. He wanted to give in to his desires here and now. But not before he saw where his ball had landed.
Their hands were laced as they made their walk back to the cart. This was it. The last hole. Alec rolled his lips together as he revved the engine. He drove the cart to the eighteenth hole and inspected the green. Brooke’s ball was right on the edge. His ball was nowhere in sight. Alec cocked his head to the right.
Could it be? Did he do it? Did he land his ball in the hole?
“Where’s your ball?” Brooke placed her hand over her eyebrows as she scanned the green. Was she wondering if he had a hole in one? She pranced toward the flag, bypassing Alec’s stroll.
He picked up his pace. There was no way Brooke was going to beat him to the flag. As Brooke made contact with the pole, Alec grabbed her around the waist.
“What are you doing?” Alec stared down into Brooke’s caramel eyes.
“Seeing if you made a hole in one.” Brooke giggled.
“We don’t have to check the hole to know that.” Alec set her back on the ground.
“Of course we do. How else would we know?” Brooke raised an eyebrow at him.
Alec got down on his knee. “Because, I’ve got the perfect hole in one with you at my side.” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a box. “Brooke, will you spend the rest of the nineteenth hole with me and be my partner for life? Will you marry me?” Alec opened a white box. Inside was a sparkling solitaire diamond on a silver band.
Brooke struggled to find air. She clasped her heart. Her eyes blinked. Was he seriously proposing? Was she dreaming? Brooke rubbed her lips over each other. She grabbed his hand. It was warm. She wasn’t dreaming. This was real.
Alec’s eyes were full of concern like he was worried about what her response would be. Brooke swallowed all the nerves and excitement to the back of her throat. He glanced down at the ground.
Brooke forced herself to respond. “Yes.” She knelt on the green with him. “Yes, Alec. I’ll marry you.”
Alec laughed. “You had me worried there for a second.” He took the ring out of the box and slid it onto Brooke’s finger. He lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed each one of her knuckles and then took her ring finger into his mouth and sucked on it.
“I think I should be the one doing the sucking.” Brooke grabbed Alec’s bulge.
Alec peered up from Brooke’s hand and released it. He encircled her neck with his hands and pulled her into a deep kiss. Their tongues danced a passionate tempo, round and round on a spinning dance floor.
Brooke was falling, she was mesmerized. Blown away. Alec’s mouth made its way to her neck and with this hands he unbuttoned the top button of her polo shirt and tugged it over her head and tossed it to the ground. He traced his way to her breasts. Unhinging her bra, the straps slid down her arms. He took her breast into his mouth while he rubbed her other nipple with this thumb and forefinger, alternating between tugging and rubbing. He switched his mouth to the other breast and lay her down on the grass. He rubbed his groin against hers, harder and harder. His pants were too binding. He unbuttoned them as he kissed his way down to her waist and ripped off her skirt. Alec’s mouth covered her clit as he flicked back and forth with his tongue. He stuck his finger inside of her. She was soaking wet. Alec licked in a circle with his tongue over her clit while kneading her breasts and tugging on each nipple.
Brooke cried out. Never had she experienced such a fast orgasm. Her blood swam fast inside her veins as her body unraveled around her. Little sparklers cascaded down her arms and legs. Her body quivered around her. Her toes pointed and retracted in a tight curl.
Alec didn’t hesitate. The best part after making Brooke come was to immediately enter. He pulled his body up hovering over her. Her eyes were closed. He slammed his cock inside her. Brooke’s eyes popped wide open.
“Oh my g—” She clawed his back, digging in deep. It was obvious the intensity was almost too much for her to take. “Alec.” She exhaled. “You have t—“
Alec flashed a grin over his face. Yes, he was going to take her there. He was going to give her the best orgasm of her life, and it was going to happen right now. They were officially engaged and he intended to show her what it meant to be his. Forever. A lifetime of moments on and off the golf course. He was going to pleasure her in ways she had never experienced and take her to levels she never imagined she would reach.
Alec slammed into her hard again, thrusting deeper. He lifted her right leg over her head. Her eyes rolled back. “Alec.” She breathed. “It’s too mu—“
Alec lifted her other leg over her head and thrust in deeper than he had ever gone with her. The whites of her eyes were only proof he was almost there he was going to take her there. He thrust into her again.
Brooke cried out. “Ahhh…lll…eee…ccc…” And she crumbled. Goose bumps popped up all over her body, and Alec released himself into her. He lay his chest on hers and then to the side. Alec pulled her limp body in close to him and covered her with his arm. He kissed her head.
Her breathing was rapid. Her head swayed from side to side like she was dizzy.
“Brooke, are you all right?” Alec breathed into her ear.
She opened her eyes and blinked several times like she was trying to focus on him. Her flickering chocolate molten lava eyes inspected his face.
“Are you real?” She reached for his chest and found his heart as if she was checking for a pulse.
Alec laughed. “Yes. Real in every way. Brooke, you’ve felt every inch of me. Do you want that kind of intensity forever?” He traced the side of her face while studying her eyes. He needed to know that she was all in. That she wanted all of him forever.
“Yes, Alec…I want to feel every inch of you from now until eternity.”
He leaned down and kissed her as if sealing her words into his heart.
