The Real Trap Wives Of Memphis

by Monica Parker

Hanging up my phone and slipping it back into my purse, I was interrupted by Javon calling my name. He passed me the blunt to help ease my mind. Today was going to be a long day and all I wanted was peace of mind before it all unfolded.

  LEGACY

Every time I tried to teach Jacori a lesson, the lesson fell back on me. We both were taught an identical Lesson. He was taught to not fuck me over and I was taught the same thing. It never failed. I was always getting signs when things were about to get rough between us and usually we talked about everything before shit got to that point which is why we never had marital problems. Although I was still mad about my husband’s foolish-ass actions earlier, I had to put all my ill feelings aside and be with him. Kortez was possibly looking at some fed time and they would try to break him down to get information on who supplied him his cocaine. If that were the case, I couldn’t afford for them to be snooping around. I didn’t know how much work Kortez had on him when he got arrested, but we couldn’t afford the Fed’s or DEA in our business.

Davion let me know what was going on and because Jacori wasn’t answering his cell phone, I knew it was because he was lying around the house with blue balls probably cursing my ass out. I had to be a woman about it and go ahead and apologize to him. I had to let him know why I was so mad, while at the same time explaining to him what happened to Kortez. Knowing Jacori, he would flip once he heard about Kortez so now probably would be a good time to have sex. Once I gave Jacori the news, I knew our sex life would be put on hold for a few weeks. Business always came before pleasure, but I was about to get a quickie in first.

I called Alisha a few times then hung up the phone after getting no answer. I finally arrived at home and Jacori was sitting outside on the front porch smoking on a cigarette. He looked to be in a state of amazement when I pulled up. He knew that I was agitated with him, but the smile on his face told me that he was about to be a cocky ass hole, like he sometimes did when he was feeling himself too much. He probably knew I came back to apologize, but he was about to have to work for this apology. Apology or not, I was going to have some fun with him first.

I cut off the car and got out. I avoided the front porch all together and headed toward the back entrance of the house; I knew that would get his attention, and wipe that dumb ass smile off of his face. I locked the door behind me. As expected, it didn’t take Jacori long to come into the house. I was in our bedroom changing clothes since I couldn’t go handle business dressed in my sexy attire in case something went south. As I was putting on my Nike shirt, Jacori walked into the room. I didn’t bother looking at him.

“So you just gonna to lock a nigga outside his own house Legacy?”

“You were in the front of the house. How was I supposed to know that you wanted to play follow the leader?”

“Follow the leader? Girl I swear you are a trip. What am I going to do with you?”

“I don’t know. But the real question is what will you do without me?”

“Legacy, look at me.” He demanded so I glanced at him before continuing to get dressed.

“Look at you for what? So you can lie to me again?”

“I never lied to you Legacy. I would never lie to you.”

“Hold up wait, you’re right. Let me rephrase my statement; hide some more fundamental information from me?”

“It wasn’t anything like that baby, I promise.” He leaned down to kiss my shoulder, but I stepped away.

  “Whatever bastard!”

“I’m serious, Legacy.” Jacori grabbed my hands trying to force me to look at him.

“Then do you care to explain it to me? I’m all ears. Just tell me the truth.”

  “So you want the truth?”

“Yes! I certainly do. Is that so hard?”

“Okay here it goes. I fucked up Legacy. There! Is that what you wanted to hear? I almost got caught slipping.”

“Save me the details. I already heard what happened, remember? Just tell me why the fuck you lied about it? All the shit you have seen me do over the years for your ass and you lie to me,” I pointed to myself.

“I am sorry baby. I can’t tell you shit like you are the average woman. You don’t know how to process bad news. Why do you think I didn’t tell you? When have you ever known me to withhold anything?” I shrugged my shoulders.

He was making it hard for me to fake mad at him when he was standing in front of me looking all alluring while kissing me like he wasn’t in the dog house. Lord knows I needed to feel some of his goodness deep within me. Oh hell it was about to go down in a major way. We didn’t really have time for sex so I had to get it in real quick. I stepped into his arms. He didn’t waste any time taking off my shirt and sliding my panties to the side. A low moan escaped from my mouth as Jacori spread my legs apart and bent me over. My pussy dripped in anticipation as he rubbed my clit with his mushroom tip from the back. I knew he was trying to tease me but I was ready to swallow him whole.

Gripping my shoulders he pushed his 8 inch monster deep within me. I swear it felt like it was about to come bursting out of my stomach. I considered it a blessing and a curse, as he hit every wall and then some. It was evident that Jacori had been wanting and missing this rain forest. We both wanted each other bad and the way he was gripping my breast let me know that he was enjoying himself. Not to be outdone, I smacked his ass every time he hit the right spot. I guess he liked it because he went deeper and deeper into my folds until he ran out of dick.

Jacori had me about to overdose on his love and I was glad that I decided not to be stingy with my body. I wish he could swim in my ocean all night, but life for us just didn’t work out that way. My body was begging for his hands to be tattooed on it. His touch was giving me life and when he switched to my wet ass, he stroked my G-spot with his index finger and pumped ferociously. He had me soaking wet and the more I moaned, the harder he thrusted inside of me. I swear it felt like he was pounding out his frustrations on me, but I enjoyed every moment. As our bodies slapped against one another to our own little beat, we both climaxed together then leaned up on the wall trying to catch our breath.

Time was of the essence so I grabbed his hands and lead him to the bathroom and turned on the shower. After making sure the water temperature was just right, we stepped on in and washed each other up without speaking any words. No words needed to be spoken in that moment. We grabbed our towels, dried and got dressed.

“Hey, I’m sorry for snapping off and giving you blue balls earlier today, but you have to understand that I hate when you hide things from me; especially important things. Things that can change both of our lives. What you did today was unacceptable and you of all people know that.”

“I know and for that I’m sorry. But you have to understand that I am a man. A man who sometimes lets pride interfere with my judgment and today my pride couldn’t let you know how bad that I had fucked up. I know that this fuck up could have destroyed us as a unit. I would never do anything to intentionally hurt you or us okay?”

“Okay, I hear what you’re saying and I’m going to let it go this time. But there better not be a next time or else. Oh yeah, this is a warning. Next time I won’t be so nice. If I would have done this shit to you, you would have been bitching and complaining.”

  “Okay, Boss.”

“It’s Mrs. Boss to you. You got that homie?”

“Aye, aye, captain. I got you. I won’t hide anything else from you. Just promise me that you will just trust everything that I tell you. Trust that I will make the right decision when the time comes. I may not get to tell you right off the jump, but I will always keep you in the loop.”

I stood up adjusting my sneakers. “Well speaking of keeping people in the loop, a code red has been issued so we need to get a move on,” I demanded.

Jacori jumped from off of the bed, damn near flipping me over. “What! You didn’t think that should have been the first thing that you said to me when you came back home? You played me.”

&nb
sp; “Look you need to chill out. Nobody played you. Nigga I pulled a you on you, that’s the only crime I’m guilty of. Davion blew up your phone but you didn’t answer.

Jacori quickly hopped up and I went ahead and called Alisha again to check on her. After calling her two more times I hung up and dialed Makayla; she answered on the first ring. I let her know that Jacori and I would be heading her way.

Jacori was still acting like an idiot. He should have been happy that I actually came back around him after the shit that he pulled. He was lucky that I even let him feel this silk-lined pussy again, too. It was his damn fault that he didn’t know about the code red; he was the one in his feelings ignoring important phone calls. Sometimes he got on my last fucking nerves. If it wasn’t a code red I would have kept it pushing without him. He was acting like I hid a life changing situation like he did. He brushed pass me one too many times with an attitude, so I had to address it.

“Look, Jacori, you don’t have to act like somebody shit and pissed in your damn cereal this morning, ok?”

“Look Legacy, right now is not the time to be fucking with me. We enjoyed a great moment earlier, but now I’m not in the mood. You should be worried about Kortez; not my attitude.”

“I’m not fucking with you, Nigga. I’ll meet you at the trap because I promise that I’m not about to deal with anymore of your shit. I knew that I should have just left your ass like I planned. You better watch how you treat me or else.”

“What the fuck did you just say to me?” he asked, closing in on me. Jacori was now standing directly in front of me. If looks could kill, I may have died in that moment. I knew that I hit a nerve.

“Or else! Shit I’m tired of this shit. You're the one who needs to be kissing my ass right now. I’m not doing this with you. I refuse to be exhausted over any reason other than sex. Be the man I married and cut out the bitch-assness!”

Before Jacori got the chance to piss me off again, I grabbed my keys and purse and headed out the door. It was time for us to go and it was best that we rode in separate cars. Quickly backing away from him, I turned around and left. I got into my car and sped off as fast as I could.

  JACORI

Shit went from sugar to sour within the last 24 hours. First I damn near got caught up with some heavy shit on me, and then my wife accidentally over hears my entire conversation. She played my ass like a fiddle. Legacy probably was sitting on her high horse thinking that the little stunt she pulled earlier on me was clever. How she just going to let me give her the best orgasm that she ever had in her life, then give me blue balls in return for my favor. That shit fucked me up, but I couldn’t be mad at her; she was only trying to make me feel how she felt earlier. I didn’t see that coming and I knew I needed to do a better job of considering her. At the end of the day, I knew Legacy was hurt because we never hid anything from one another; I just really didn’t want to hear her bitching and complaining about what I should have done differently. Although I was stressing about everything, I figured that as usual, we’d get back on the same page. At the moment, though, I had the feeling that she wouldn’t be coming back anytime soon.

Legacy was straight tripping, so I was relieved when she left out of the house. I waited until she pulled off before I left so that I would have a minute to think and clear my mind before I was around her again. I drove in silence because my mind shifted all over the place. I stopped by the gas station before I went to the trap. Less than 15 minutes later I arrived and noticed that everybody’s cars were present except Kortez and Alisha. Anxiety suddenly ran through my entire body.

I didn’t know what was going on, but I had a feeling that something horrendous had happened. Parking my car behind Legacy, I hopped out and walked to the door. As I turned the door knob, Javon opened up the door for me. Everyone greeted me before heading back to their seats at the round table, where we held our meetings.

Davion was the person that informed us all that there was a code red so it was his job to assemble and adjourn the meeting. Davion stood up and all eyes were on him. “As you all know, a code red has been issued. Kortez called me to let me know that he was being pulled over by the police, and that he had a few keys on him. We all know the drill. If one of us gets caught, there is a chance that we all could be caught up,” Davion shrugged his shoulders as he continued. “There are things that we have to sacrifice. And I know that none of us are snitches, and that real mother fuckers don’t fold, but in this case, Kortez is looking at some Fed time, so they are going to come at him with everything they have. That being the case, there is a possible chance that we could all be suspects. They may try to break us. They may try to get us to turn on each other. They may try to raid our spots. And they may even cease our funds. We know that they can’t search our shit without probable cause, but they don’t play fair at all. We must always stay ten steps ahead. Anyone have any questions?”

We all stared at each other. I needed to know more so I made it my business to be the first person to ask questions. “How long has it been since you last spoke with him and have any charges been made?”

“It has been three hours since he last hit me from jail. I spoke with my home girl who works down there, but she let me know that she would call me back because Alisha was calling her on her other end when we were on the phone. We ended the call and I’m still waiting on her to hit me back.”

“Has either one of you talked to Alisha?” I looked at Makayla and Legacy. Legacy was still mad at me so she looked at me and rolled her eyes, shaking her head no. Makayla also shook her head no.

“Damn, this shit is crazy as fuck. Today has been a rough day for us all I see. But this is the way the game go,” Javon stated. I just gave him a look because he hadn’t been through shit.

“We all had a long day. This all comes with the territory. We must get rid of all this evidence. All this dope and cash we have stashed up in this house has to be moved now. This safe house is not safe anymore because if the feds are watching they will check our phones to see where we been, who we been with and how long we were at the destinations. Our phones always tell on us. We could be tracked back to this spot so we know what must be done.

“Burn this shit down to the ground.” Makayla chimed in.

“We have to compose a plan and we only have today to get it done,” Davion went on.

Everybody was looking around in deep thought. All of our lives were about to change. Either for the best, or for the worst. Our spending was now limited. We all had old and new money put up overseas so if push came to shove we were good. For now we would have to put out a fire by creating one.

  CHAPTER SEVEN

  Slipping

  KORTEZ

Mane, from this point on I promised to do right by my wife. Every time I did some dishonorable or inappropriate shit to Alisha, she’d always find out, and/or some heinous shit happened to me. The saying you reap what you sow had showed up and showed out. Like for instance a few months ago, Alisha called me and asked me where I was because I was gone when she woke up. I told Alisha that I had just left the house to go get her some shrimp- fried rice with the spicy vegetable egg rolls she loved so much, when I really was at the casino with this cute redbone chick I met at the strip club named Treasure. Next thing I know, I was being tapped on my shoulder by a security guard handing me a sealed letter. Once I opened the letter it spooked the shit out of me.

The letter read: Get me chicken fried rice instead with your shrimp fried rice lying to-the–tenth-power ass. Sweat was pouring down my face and tension began forming in my shoulders. I looked around frantically for my wife, but she was nowhere in sight. I hurried up and got the hell of dodge, leaving Treasure’s ass behind.

Today was just another day for me to experience karma. I thought back to Alisha being very suspicious of Plum and I messing around. Her women’s intuition was right, but I wouldn’t let her know that. After today I would never look at another woman other than Alisha.

Alisha came and bonded my bl
ack ass out with money that I had hidden from her. I hopped behind the wheel of the car waiting for her to say something, but she kept her mouth shut. Any other woman would have went right in on a nigga, but she sat there texting in her phone like I wasn’t there.

“You ain’t gon go ham on me?” I asked nervously. Baby didn’t even look up from her phone as she answered, “I did what you asked me to do.” I waited for something else to go on, but she placed her phone in her purse and stared straight ahead.

“Look Alisha I…” she threw her hand so close to my face that I could smell her citrusy lotion.

“I played my role,” she spat as she interrupted me. “Is that not what you wanted? You wanted a woman that asked no questions, but did what she was told, right? This is me doing what I am told. We need to put some distance between us and this station right about now.”

Feeling like a bitch I just turned on the radio rapping along with Drake while she took a call. “Is that right? Well thank you for keeping me informed, hun. I will definitely look out for you tomorrow when I get my ducks in a row.”

I glanced over, wondering who she was talking too and what she was talking about, but the code talk wasn’t making sense to me. After a few minutes I gave up trying to figure it out. We pulled up to the alley behind the trap house and everybody appeared to be there parked in the backyard except I didn’t see my car. I looked back at Alisha but she wasn’t paying me any attention. I took in everything as we walked around to the front of the house. The grass was freshly cut, giving the appearance that the house was lived in. We walked up the rickety stairs to the screened-in porch that boasted a rocking chair, porch swing and a wrought iron table covered in old Jet magazines.

I unlocked the front door looking around carefully before entering. From the looks of things, the place appeared to be lived in, but the old lady that used to live here had been dead for a few months now. I looked over at the plastic covered couch and floor model TV before proceeding through the long hallway of the shotgun house. As I walked through the bedroom, everything was still the way Ms. Iola had left it. We went through the last bedroom and into the kitchen where we could hear talking below in the basement.
