Seducing Their Swan

Brett was still pissed off when he woke. He had no clue when Adam came home, or if he came home. He pulled something he hadn’t even thought was possible. The words of his father came out of Adam’s mouth and Brett couldn’t stand it. They both wanted to work hard and avoid anything that was reminiscent of their father or mother, yet here it was, something got a little close for Adam’s comfort and he spewed that pile of shit.

He had already worked up a sweat from the punching bag, but it didn’t help. He thought about going for a run, but he couldn’t muster up the energy for that. He was still too pissed off, not at Ellie—well, Evan—but himself and Adam. For the first time since he started working in college, he felt out of control. Heading to the garage, he worked on a sign for her. She hadn’t decided on a name, but he needed to work on the base of it and create a special design.

Three hours had passed when he heard someone shouting his name. Looking up, he saw Adam at the door. Putting down the sander and removing his protective eyewear, he looked up.

  “Yeah,” he quipped.

  “You gonna talk to me?”

“You get your head out of your ass yet?”

“What the hell does that mean?” Adam didn’t seem to get it, so why should Brett even try with him.

“Seriously, I love you, brother, but you need to get your head out of your ass and think for once. It’s not about image with everything. So she lied, hell we lied too. You do it a lot. You’re a fucking lawyer for God’s sake. Can’t you see how fucked up this is?”

“Brett, listen, I don’t know what to do or say. This whole thing took me by surprise. How am I going to deal with that in one night? Shit, I don’t even know what to say or do.”

“Well you better figure it out fast because she isn’t going sit back and wait for us. She is something special, it’s more than just a damn fling, and you know it. So the sooner you get your head out of your ass the better. I’m gonna shower and head into town and see if maybe I can talk to her.” He made sure all his equipment was turned off, unplugged, and put away before he left. Quickly getting in and out of the shower, he dressed and made the drive into town.

It was a normal Saturday. Families walking around, the farmers market was going on. Not sure where to start looking for her, he parked his truck and decided to check her shop. He didn’t see anyone, but knocked, and sure enough, nothing.

He peeked into the coffee shop, the deli, the diner, and nothing. Maybe she was home. But his gut was telling him it was something more. Rounding the corner, he came upon the farmers market. He had totally forgotten that it was today. It was always every other Saturday. Making the choice to forget looking for her in town, he figured he might as well pick up some things. He found some amazing looking corn, and tomatoes. Picking them up, he spotted apples, nectarines, lemons, and peaches. Grabbing some of those as well, he paid the lady and went to the next bunch of tables. Finding one thing he loved, honey. He loved fresh honey, so he bought a couple of jars. Happy with his items and various goodies, he spotted an older woman selling flowers. He would need some of those if he ever did find Ellie.

“Can I have some daisies please?” He knew that was one of her favorite flowers. As much as he would love to buy her roses, he knew that she would love the daisies.

“Must have a lucky girl waiting,” an older man said behind him. Brett turned and looked at him, smiling.

“I hope so, if I can find her and tell her I’m sorry that is.”

“I see, you’re Brett, right?” Brett looked at him for moment. He didn’t know this man, but something about it reminded him of someone.

  “Yes, sir, I am.”

“I see, then it’s a good thing you ran into me then.”

“I’m sorry I don’t mean to be rude, but you are?”

“Names Jim Hodgens. I’m Evangeline’s dad.” Brett couldn’t help but smile as his luck just turned for the better.

  Chapter Thirteen

Evan came home to an empty house. Her dad had said that he was getting a ride into town so he could get some things from the farmers market. She had offered to go with him, but he said he wanted to go and get out of the house, he felt like a chicken locked inside a chicken coop for days. With sweat dripping off her and smelling worse, she climbed into the shower, leaving her clothes in her bedroom hamper. Turning it on, she let the water warm while she pulled her hair down and looked into the mirror. She didn’t know what she saw. She had always thought herself to be scrawny and weird looking, but she seemed to grow into those. Her breasts were perky, yet full. Not much of an ass, but her legs were shapely and her stomach flat from running and the exercises she did when she got bored. Her hair, though, she never colored it, was styled differently and looked healthy. She had laser surgery for her eyes, correcting her vision and even though she looked the same, she was very different. She was no longer the gangly looking child, but a grown woman. When the mirror started to fog up, she climbed in letting the hot water run down her back. The soothing feeling helped clean away the stickiness of her run and the Georgia heat. She washed her body with the sweet smelling peach soap Brett had given her. He said he got one for their house also. Though now that she thought about it, it was going to go to waste there. Breathing in the comforting smell, she washed and got out. Drying herself, she wrapped a towel around her head before pulling on her old ratty robe.

She really did need to buy a new one. As she stepped out of the bathroom, she heard voices coming from the kitchen. Walking down she heard the one voice she didn’t think would ever be in her house. He was talking to him about the Georgia-Florida game. Unable to believe her ears she turned the corner and sure enough, he was putting away what looked like to be bags of fruit and vegetables.

“Oh hey there, pumpkin, look who I ran into at the farmers' market.” Brett’s warm brown eyes found hers making her unable to form words, or even make a sound. “Well don’t be rude, say hi or something,” her dad reprimanded her.

“Umm, hi. I didn’t expect to see you here.”

A smirk came across his face as he looked her up and down, now her brain seemed to work as she remembered what the hell she had on.

“I can see that, but I wanted to see you and your cellphone wasn’t working. I was looking for you and ran into your dad at the market. He invited me over for dinner. I hope that’s okay? Oh, these are for you.” Evan watched as nerves seemed to rack him when he walked over to her, handing her a small bundle of daisies. She smiled, he remembered her favorite flower.

“Um, sure, let me, just, you know get dressed and I will be right back.” As quickly as she could, she turned, with the flowers in hand, and headed to her room. God he was in her house, while she looked like hell. She knew she had slight bags under her eyes from not sleeping last night, and she was in her damn robe. Quickly towel drying her hair, she ran a brush through before sliding on some yoga pants and a tank top. She didn’t need to dress up, after all this was her house, and he had seen her at her worst already. Taking a breath, she opened the door to face whatever it was she needed to face.

Brett was feeling a little out of sorts. When he offered to give Mr. Hodgens a ride home, he didn’t know where they lived. No wonder Ellie kept saying she would drive herself. Not one to judge, he suddenly understood a little more than he had earlier this morning. Ellie grew up hard. Her poor momma died from cancer, and she worked to help pay medical bills because they didn’t have insurance. He never would have thought about situations like that before. He had everything growing up, and never wondered what would happen if one of them got sick. As he pulled into the house, he got a good look at the truck her dad drove. The thing had been an antique and needed to be put down, or restored. But now it was crushed metal and he was very happy that he wasn’t hurt worse.

Jim Hodgens was someone he wouldn’t have normally given the time of day way back when, but talking to him now he could see the man was all heart. He gave to those who needed it, even
when he didn’t really have it to spare. He helped get Ellie into the high school she did, and pushed her to leave town to grow. Brett learned quickly that this was what a real father did, and part of him envied Ellie for having that. The man even invited him for dinner, though he offered to take them both out. But Jim had told him nothing was as good as a home cooked meal.

When they walked inside the small trailer, it was plain to see how much he loved his daughter. Pictures of her in various stages of life hung throughout. One with her mom, the three of them, her with Amy. He helped put away the groceries when Ellie came into the room. She looked so damn adorable with her ratty robe and her hair in a towel. The pure innocence of her floated throughout the air. He knew right then and there he couldn’t give her up. She was going to be his forever. There was no more lies, no more secrets between them now. She took the flowers and went to her room. When she returned she was wearing black pants that hugged her curves and another tank top.

“Well, I think I will go talk to Mike about getting me a new truck. I’ll be gone for a bit. Pumpkin, whatever you want to make for dinner works for me. Brett, it was nice to meet you.” And like that Jim left them alone, but it made Brett chuckle because he had assumed that it would be Jim that cooked, not his Ellie.

“I didn’t mean to make him leave,” he said to her.

“Dad, well he does his own thing. I try to talk to him, but it’s like talking to a wall at times, I get nowhere.”

“So, let me just get this out there. I’m sorry, Ellie, so very sorry. I didn’t mean to sound like an ass. I questioned you like I did and please know I was an idiot. I wanna start over.” He watched as she once again played with her hair, looking at the floor.

“Look, Brett, you know who I am, you see where I live now. I’m not some high society girl. I wasn’t using you, or Adam.”

He couldn’t stand the distance anymore. Walking over to her, he pulled her into his arms. She was stiff at first, but then relaxed.

“I know, peaches, you’re not that type of girl. And I don’t care about where you live. Hell, you could live in a damn box near the coffee shop and it wouldn’t stop me from caring about you. You get me better than anyone else has. There is something special about you, Ellie. I don’t want to lose you.” Her face lifted as she looked at him.

“I’m glad, because I don’t think I could lose you either. This is so damn fast, Brett, I don’t know what to do,” she confessed. But he did.

“We just feel, peaches, we just feel.” Lifting her chin up, he captured her lips with his. He went soft at first, then need seemed to take over and he swiped his tongue along her lips asking for access, which she granted. Tentatively his tongue played with hers. The sweet mint taste of her toothpaste on her breath fueled him.

“God, peaches, I need you. When’s your dad going to be home?” As much as he wanted to take her, he didn’t want to be caught with his pants down either.

“He’ll be gone for at least two to three hours, if not more,” she murmured along his mouth.

“Good.” He leaned down grabbing her ass with both hands lifting her so her pussy rubbed along his erection through his jeans. A soft mewl escaped her as she too started to rub against him on her own. “Where’s your room, baby?”

“Down the hall, second door on the right.” He carried her while she kissed and sucked on his neck, making it hard not to push her against the wall and fuck her until they both could no longer speak. Finding her bed, he fell down with her on it while he sought out her lips claiming them again.

So lost in the kiss, Brett lifted her top and unclasped her bra within seconds. Next, his shirt came off leaving them both in bottoms only. Sliding down her body, he circled her nipple with his mouth before sucking it in. Ellie arched her back while his other hand played with her other breast. He pinched it between his thumb and forefinger, giving her little bit of pain. The sound coming from her meant that his girl liked a bit of pain. Moving onto her stomach, he kissed his way down until he reached the top of her pants, pulling them down. She lifted her hips to help him, and with one tug, he pulled her panties and pants off her legs.

  *****

Ellie was lost in desire of Brett. First, she was pissed at him, then he was sorry and she felt bad, and now she was naked, with him starting to play with her pussy. The first contact he had on her sensitive clit made her jump. Never had she been as turned on as she was with Adam or Brett. Both men drove her mad with lust. But that’s just it, it was lust. Could lust turn into love? Brett had come back for her even after finding out she was really Evan.

She was on fire, “Please, Brett, I need you.” But he wasn’t having any of it as he started to eat her. He flattened his tongue running it from bottom to top making her moan.

“All in good time, baby.” Bucking her hips, she grasped his hair, which seemed to have set him off as he tore away from her needy cunt.

“Fuck, baby, I gotta be in you.” Brett tugged his jeans off just enough to free his erection. She watched as he stroked himself up and down. The simple movement was sexy has hell. Brett kissed his way up her body before covering her completely, letting her feeling the tip of his erection pressing at her entrance.

“Yes, please, now.” She was clawing at his back trying to get him to move faster, but he took his time. Kissing her slowly, letting her taste herself on his lips.

  “Do you need me?”

  “Yes damn it, fuck me.”

“As you wish,” and then he thrust into her hard, making her scream as an unexpected orgasm ripped through her. But it didn’t stop him. He moved in and out of her like a man possessed. Gripping him tighter, Brett growled as she left indents from her fingernails.

“You’re gonna come again for me, baby.” Thrashing her head back and forth, she didn’t think she could. Her body however, had a different idea as Brett swiveled his hips hitting the special button inside her. It was as if her body was hard wired for explosives and that was the trigger. And just like that, Brett hit it again and she exploded as he thrust a few more times before calling out her name and coming deep inside her.

With her eyes closed, she welcomed the weight of him on her before he rolled them to the side making her rest her head on his chest. She could hear his heart beat as it gave a frantic rhythm then slowly calmed down.

“That was amazing, peaches.” She couldn’t help but giggle at his response.

“You were pretty amazing yourself there, stud.”

“I don’t know what it is about you, but I just can’t seem to get enough.”

  “Oh really?”

  “Yes really.”

“Well I would like to challenge that idea, but I don’t know when Dad will really be back, and I’m kinda hungry.”

“Well then it’s a good thing you’re making me dinner then, huh?” Sitting up on one elbow, she looked at him with his childish grin.

“I guess it is.” Kissing him once again, she rolled out of bed, pulling on some shorts and a t-shirt heading into the kitchen. She heard Brett follow suit and soon they fell into comfortable conversation as she cooked. It seemed Brett could be with her as Evan, but Adam was a different story. Could she really do that to them? Never in her life did she want to break up a family, let alone twin brothers. But the fact is she couldn’t change who she was or where she came from. If Adam couldn’t see that, then she would just have to let go on the idea of being happily in love with the Graham brothers.

  Chapter Fourteen

Adam looked at the empty bedroom and knew right away that Brett had spent the night with Ellie. He shouldn’t care, but he did. Could he really get over someone lying to him? Hell, he did it all the time, and it wasn’t like she came right out and said who she really was. Sure, she changed her name, and didn’t really say she was the one they made fun of. What was her plan, get them to fall in love with her then throw it all back in their faces? He could see it, but it wasn’t like her, well the woman he got to know. Running his hand through his hair, he left the hous
e to head to work. He had some decisions to make. Most of them involved her.

As he pulled his truck into the small coffee shop, he could see she wasn’t there yet. Opening the door, he went to order his large black coffee and a cinnamon bun when someone called his name.

“Adam, Adam Graham?” Turning he saw a blast from his past, and one he didn’t really want to see.

“Amanda, hi, didn’t think I would see you here.” Taking a good look at her, he wanted to cringe. She was extremely skinny with now what looked like a fake rack. She wore too much make-up for his taste, and looked like a Barbie doll. He used to find that all attractive, how a woman would take the time to look put together and clean. But the more he looked at her, he saw how fake she was. Now Ellie, she was real. When she did dress up, it wasn’t to impress someone, or look made up. Ellie was real to him.

“Oh I wasn’t going to come into town, at least not so soon, but your mother called.” Damn he would have to have a talk with her and tell his meddling mother to stick her nose someplace else, he was taken. That is when it hit him, he was taken. He wanted Ellie, or Evan. Whatever she wanted to be called. He didn’t want to live in the high life, to be strapped down to a trophy wife while their kids went to private school and were raised by nannies.

As she approached him, she ran a single finger down his chest. The feeling would have normally turned on his male ego, but it made him feel dirty. Taking her hand in his, “Did she, well that’s nice. I hope you have a good time with her. You will have to excuse me, I have a client to see.”

“Can you sneak away for lunch or dinner?”

“Sorry I can’t, Amanda.” He sidestepped her.
