Bound in Blue Page 18

“Still want to play?” He asked as his thumbs brushed my taut nipples over and over again.

  “Yes, please.”

“I know just the thing. Go lay in the middle of the bed, face down.” He planted a lingering kiss behind my ear and moved away from me towards the closet where he knew I kept the bag of toys we had been accumulating throughout the course of our time together.

Moving to the bed, my stomach was a riot of emotions from all that had happened in such a short period of time. When I woke up this morning, I would have never dreamt that I’d be where I was right now with Mack. Not that I was complaining. It was just that it was going to take a while for my brain to wrap around it. Especially with the way he had me turned inside out waiting for him face down on the bed.

“Lift your head,” Mack whispered in my ear as he leaned over me on the bed. I did as instructed and looked up at him. “Open your mouth, wide.”

I gave him a little smirk, thinking I knew where he was going with it. I was a little thrown when instead of shoving his cock in my mouth, he shoved a silicone ball between my teeth. “Bite down,” he instructed.

My eyes darted up to meet his. I had never worn a gag before, and it had me a little freaked out. The look in Mack’s eyes instantly calmed me. It was all about trust, and I trusted that he would never hurt or humiliate me. I just needed to remind myself of that.

Mack secured the gag around my head with its leather strap before slipping a black silk mask over my eyes. He pulled on the gag and whispered in my ear. “You’ve been a bad girl. Know what happens to bad girls? They come hard,” he promised.

“Lay back down,” his low, smooth, sexy voice commanded me. Not being able to see him increased my response to him. My nipples tightened, accompanied by a surge of heat between my legs.

Once I was in position, I felt my limbs stretched one after the other as they were secured to the bedposts. I attempted to relax my muscles while I waited for what was to come next, but I was strung so tight with need that it was impossible.

The snap of leather to my right had my whole body jolting. “This is going to hurt, buttercup. Trust that I know what you need. Nod if you want this.”

I instantly nodded and was rewarded with his swift intake of breath and soft, buttery leather running enticingly over my backside. He caressed my skin with the leather, heightening my senses and lulling me into a false sense of security. And then the crack of the belt on my ass had my head shooting up and my body arching against the bed. I let out a low whimper. The gag stopped me from screaming out when it bit into my skin with the most delicious pain I had ever felt.

“Again?” He asked, trailing it across my backside again.

I nodded and was rewarded with another lash of the belt. This time instead of screaming out in shock, I was crying out and moaning behind the gag.

“You wet, buttercup? Cat got your tongue?” He chuckled at his own joke. “Guess I’ll have to see for myself.”

When his fingers slid through my slick folds and plunged into me, I groaned. God that felt good.

“Drenched.” I heard a sucking sound and imagined him licking his fingers, sticky and wet with my arousal. My pussy clenched at the thought.

Four more whacks of the belt and I felt as if I was going to spontaneously combust if he didn’t get inside me anytime soon. Straddling the line between pain and pleasure was both exhilarating and overwhelming.

“You have no idea how fucking perfect you are lying there with your ass pink and hot from the belt. Your flawless skin on display for me. I can see how swollen and wet you are for me. You want me inside you, don’t you, buttercup?”

I groaned and nodded my head vigorously. His fingers plundered me again. I tried to raise my hips up to seek more contact, but my restraints stopped me from getting what I wanted.

Two more whacks and I heard the belt hit the ground right before my restraints loosened. And then Mack was there—naked and rock hard—hiking me up to my knees and filling me with one, hard thrust. He stilled inside me, removed the mask from my eyes, and pulled the gag out of my mouth.

“I want to hear you scream,” he whispered in my ear. When he pulled back and surged forward again, I did scream. The sensations were almost too much. He had wound me up so tightly during foreplay that it wasn’t going to take much to have me coming out of my skin.

“Who’s fucking you?” He grunted. His hand snaked around to grip my breast, making me whimper at the overstimulation of him touching me when I was so primed.

  “Shane,” I told him.

“Damn right.” He bottomed out on a hard thrust and sent me over the edge.

  “Shane!” I cried out.

“Fuck, buttercup. You feel so good. I love the way your pussy is sucking me in—taking me to heaven.” He pulled my head back and kissed my forehead, looking into my eyes as he took me from behind.

“Come inside me, Shane.” Normally I didn’t talk during sex unless he wanted me to, but I couldn’t help it. I loved all the dirty things he said to me and wanted to return the favor.

“Fuck,” he cursed and came with a low growl in my ear.

He glided in and out as he came down, giving me sweet with his dirty.

“I missed you, buttercup,” he said as he collapsed on the bed next to me, pulling my body into his.

“Me too.” I snuggled into his embrace and let myself enjoy the afterglow of that amazing bout of sex.

“Trust me to make this work?” He asked. I pulled back and looked into his face, seeing nothing but sincerity and feeling someplace deep inside me warm at the prospect of what could be.

“Yes. Just please don’t hurt me again.” I couldn’t believe I put that out there, but it was a very real fear of mine—that he would leave me irrevocably broken with no way to put the pieces back together.

“I’d rather cut off my own arm. You’ll see.” He kissed me gently and reverently. “Let’s clean you up and get some sleep.”

I watched as his tight ass moved towards the bathroom to get a cloth. I stared at the ceiling trying not to think. My plan was to live in the moment and trust my father’s words that if it was meant to be, it would be. Him allowing me to call him Shane and then staying the night without me having to ask was a step in the right direction.

Mack gently washed me between my legs. When he returned to bed we snuggled up, his front pressed the length of my back. His fingers twined with mine, and I felt myself settle in a way I had never felt before.

  “Goodnight, buttercup.”

“Goodnight,” I replied. The words “I love you” were poised on the tip of my tongue, but they never took flight before my body settled into sleep.

  Chapter Nineteen

“You’re going to be late,” Mack reminded me for the umpteenth time. I rolled my eyes and continued applying another coat of mascara. Blinking a few times, I decided I was satisfied with how I looked—sultry eyes, rosy cheeks, red lips. Smoothing the midnight blue satin dress over my hips, I tilted my head from side to side, proud at how well my braided chignon turned out on the first try. I looked sexy, yet elegant. Exactly the look I was going for.

“Megan, let’s go,” Mack hollered this time up the stairs from the second floor. Well at least he was no longer up my ass, pacing the bedroom as he stared at his watch.

“I’m coming. Keep your hair on,” I yelled back. Holding onto the railing, I carefully descended the stairs in my razor thin high heeled shoes.

I rounded the corner into the kitchen where Mack was now rummaging through my fridge. He looked up, and I watched with smug satisfaction as his jaw slackened, and he froze in place. I’d say he enjoyed seeing me dressed up as much as I enjoyed eyeing him in a tuxedo. Would I ever get sick of looking at what a fine specimen of a man he was? I hoped not.

“You sure you have to go to this thing? ‘Cause I’d much rather spend the night buried inside you with that sexy dress of yours pulled up around your waist,” he said as he straightened from the fridge. He clo
sed the distance between us in a few strides and wrapped his arms around me.

“You’re so crass,” I feigned disgust with his idea on how the evening should be spent.

“You love it.” Yes. I did.

I ran my hands over his shoulders and down his arms, loving how hard his body was and wondering if it was hard in any other, more intimate places. “I have to go. Maybe we could find a quiet corner later to… um… reacquaint ourselves with each other.”

He threw his head back and laughed at my sudden modesty. “Reacquaint ourselves? Well, I definitely have a certain body part that would love for you to reacquaint yourself with him.”

“You call it him? Really?” I giggled at how silly that sounded. “Should I call my vagina a her then?”

“Pussies are chicks. Cocks are dudes.” He gave me a look as if to say duh.

“I didn’t learn that in medical school, so I’ll have to take that under advisement. We really need to get going.” I glanced at the clock and began to panic about being late to the fundraiser. Ironic since it was my fault we were late to begin with.

“They can’t start without the keynote speaker,” he reminded me.

“Let’s hope no one notices that we’re fashionably late.” I put my coat on, grabbed my clutch off the counter, and we headed out to the town car that idled at the curb, waiting for us. The driver opened the door, and I slid in followed by Mack.

As the driver navigated through D.C. on the way to the banquet hall, the butterflies in my stomach intensified. I had done plenty of speeches over the years, but none of them had been in front of the man I was in love with. I was fearful of stumbling over my words or forgetting the key points of my speech. There was a strange need inside me to make him proud of me.

“You’ll do great.” His hand squeezed my knee and stayed there. How he knew I was worrying myself sick, I had no idea, but I was glad he knew me so well. It made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

“God, I hope traffic doesn’t get much worse. I hate being late.”

“I seem to remember a time when you didn’t mind being late.” At the heated look in his eyes, flashes of snow falling around us as he moved inside me came to me in earnest.

Nerves completely gone, I licked my lower lip remembering the feel of his hands on my body. My insides clenched remembering how passionate and magical that moment was when he needed me. It was the most vulnerable I had ever seen him. And that was such a turn on.

“Keep that up, Megan, and you’ll be even later.”

The driver cleared his throat before speaking, effectively ending the sexual vibes humming between us. “We’ll be arriving momentarily, Miss Huntley.

“I thought it was Dr. Huntley,” Mack mumbled under his breath, and I bit back my smile.

“Thank you,” I responded to the driver. Taking a deep breath, I mentally squared my shoulders and tried to keep the mellow mood Mack had put me in.

“You ready?” Mack asked as he reached for the door handle when the car rolled to a stop in front of the hotel where the fundraiser was being held.

I nodded and took his hand, scooting across the backseat to get out. After checking our coats, we weaved through the groups of people littering the hallway into the ballroom, smiling and saying hello to the few I knew. All the while, Mack kept his hand on my lower back, giving me silent strength and support.

“Megan! You’re here!” Lois Murphy shouted as she turned away from a group of society women and made her way to me in haste. “We can start now!”

“Sorry,” I apologized. “I hope you weren’t waiting long.”

“Don’t be silly, dear. I’d wait all night for you if I had to. Your passionate speeches always garner us more donations. Thank you again for being a part of tonight. The centers really need the influx of donations. Things aren’t getting any easier with the cost of everything going up. You know, Mercy House had to turn a girl away the other day due to lack of resources. I was livid when I found out.”

“They should have referred her to another center,” I noted.

“I know. That won’t be happening again. That’s for sure.” She raised an arm into the air and gestured at a woman on the other side of the room. “Okay. They’re going to serve dinner now. I’ll introduce you in half an hour.”

  “Sounds good.”

Lois was gone in a flurry of gray bouffant hair, leaving Mack and me alone. “Sorry I didn’t introduce you.” Where were my manners?

“I don’t care about that. You know that, buttercup. Looks like everyone is taking their seats. Let’s go find ours.”

Our table was already being served our meals when we arrived at it. I greeted the Executive Director and several members of the Board of Directors for the DC Rape Crisis Center before taking my seat. I picked at my food, not able to eat a lot thanks to my nerves.

“Want me to feed you?” Mack whispered in my ear with a mischievous smirk on his face.

“Under normal circumstances. Trust me, I’ll be starving once I’m not nervous anymore.”

His eyes burned through me at the double entendre, and his bottom lip was tugged between his teeth. Hot.

“Thank you everyone for coming tonight…” Lois’ voice broke the moment. I couldn’t focus on her words as she introduced me. All I could do was think about the sexy look on Mack’s face just then. His hand rested on my knee and squeezed right before he stood and pulled my chair out for me. “Let’s welcome Dr. Megan Huntley everyone.”

The round of applause was overwhelming as I ascended the stairs to the stage. An elderly man adjusted the microphone in front of me at the podium, giving me a gentle smile before retreating.

“Thank you to Lois and the rest of the staff at the DC Rape Crisis Center,” I began. “Please keep your checkbooks closed until after the first round drinks are gone. This way the roofie has time to kick in so you're feeling loose.” A chorus of laughter moved through the room along with a few nervous twitters.

“In all seriousness, take a look at the other nine people at your table and imagine one of them drugging you, impairing you from making sound decisions and taking away your ability to defend yourself. Statistics show that seventy-three percent of sexual assaults are committed by a non-stranger, and thirty-eight percent of rapists are a friend or acquaintance to the victim. While I’ve never been the victim of rape myself, I’ve seen the devastation left behind by this senseless act. I’ve seen the violence that accompanies many assaults. I’ve loved…” I choked on the words and took a deep breath. “I’ve loved someone who was a victim of rape by a perpetrator who knew me. No one is immune.

“Sexual assault victims often suffer from a wide range of physical and mental health problems that can follow them for life—including depression, anxiety, sexually transmitted diseases, eating disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. They are also more likely than non-victims to develop alcohol and substance abuse problems and to attempt or consider suicide.”

I paused and took a sip of water before continuing to throw out fact after fact about the disturbing realities of sexual assault and abuse. Occasionally as I looked out over the crowd, my gaze would lock with Mack’s and he’d give me a small smile. While my nerves had subsided once I was talking about a subject so close to my heart, it settled my soul to have him looking at me like I was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

“I’ve been talking for roughly twenty-five minutes and in that time, somewhere in the US, twelve women have been sexually assaulted. If that isn’t enough to spur you into action, I’m not sure what will. With every dollar raised tonight, we’ll be able to help one more victim. One more poor soul who seeks out the assistance to heal themselves. Please help, however you can—both your time and money are appreciated. Thank you.”

The crowd applauded as I stepped away from the podium intent on getting back to Mack and out of the limelight. My escape was hindered, however, when Lois joined me on the stage with a plaque in her hands. Her soft hand gripped my arm, keeping me
from walking away.

“I’d like to thank Megan for being here tonight with us,” she spoke into the microphone before turning her body towards mine. “You work tirelessly to raise attention and awareness for our cause. You give selflessly of both your time and money. As one of our most dedicated volunteers, it is my honor to bestow this humanitarian award on you for your passion and dedication to such a wonderful cause. Congratulations.”

I took the plaque in shaky hands and looked it over. Tears threatened to spill over as the words blurred. “I’m humbled. I have so much gratitude for this. The work I do is really nothing in the grand scheme of things. Everything I do, I do in my sister, Rachel’s memory. I love her and miss her every day.” Overwhelmed with emotion, I couldn’t say anything more. All I could do was look down at the award and try to compose myself. “Thank you. I’ll cherish this.”

“The silent auction in the back of the room will be closing in twenty minutes. Please enjoy the rest of your evening,” Lois jumped in when I stepped back. She gave me a quick hug and then ushered me offstage to where a photographer waited to snap our photo. I cringed thinking about how shell-shocked I probably looked through the camera.

People were now standing and milling around. I shook hands and thanked everyone at our table, stopping finally at Mack. He folded me in his arms. His hands hot and branding on my body and his breath teased wisps of my hair when he said, “You never cease to amaze me.”

I pulled back and looked at him. He was so beautiful and everything I never knew I needed. In that moment, words failed me. The look of pride he was giving me was almost too much.

“Will you dance with me?” He asked with a boyish grin. I nodded and let him lead me onto the dance floor.

My cheek rested on his chest, his heart steady and strong beneath my ear. I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere but right there in his arms. It was exactly what I needed after being reminded of Rachel and all she endured thanks to my recklessness and selfishness.
