So he had managed to maintain their existence here in the bubble. Until that chance meeting, they hadn’t known the fate of either of them. It was welcome news. Owen in particular had grown fond of Connelly, though she would never admit it.
Susan came into the meeting hall and headed toward the wall of lockers. Quinn took a moment to wish her a good morning and good luck on their upcoming trip as he returned to his desk. She and Asher were part of the team that Captain Adamson was leading, that was starting out today. Along with Ramos and Lisa Powell, they would be traveling south beyond the desert island world, expected to be out for at least two weeks. They had already discovered a number of previously unexplored landscapes beyond the eighty floors they were familiar with, and hoped to find more.
They had no way of knowing how long they might be here. For now this was home, and it might be home for a very long time. They might never return to normal space.
They would make the best of it while they were here.
