Naturally Yours (Vicious Snakes MC Book 3)

She smiles shyly at me and, fuck, if I don’t love that I can make her blush.
I give her one of my shirts to change into. At this moment, I wish I had a bathroom in my room, but she heads into the hallway to get ready for bed. We keep a stock of toothbrushes in there, so I’m not worried that she won’t find what she needs.
She comes back minutes later and I make my way to the bathroom. I have my own shower bag since I wouldn’t trust the guys not to fuck with it, or use my stuff, and I quickly get ready for bed.
When I get back into the room, she is already under the covers. I have to pause for a minute and take a look at the beauty before me.
Never in a million years would I think that I would be so lucky as to have someone like Sophie. Seeing her in my bed and smiling at me with a cute little blush on her cheeks makes me incredibly happy. Fuck, I want to remember this moment forever.
I strip down to my boxers before I climb in bed. I love the way her eyes check me out.
I love the fact that she automatically comes into my arms. I don’t have to drag her to me, and she doesn’t act shy about wanting to cuddle. Fuck, I never thought that I would be the type to want to cuddle.
I fall asleep with my arm around her and her head on my chest. It doesn’t take long for me to drift off knowing that my woman is here and safe in my arms.
Sophie
I wake up the next morning to a warm body behind me and a smile on my face. I can’t help but smile all the time now. I don’t remember a time when I smiled so much.
Being with Colton has been amazing. He doesn’t push me for anything that I’m not ready for. I know that he’s waiting for the house to be ready, and that I should be scared to be moving so fast, but I can’t help but feel like this is right.
I decide to let him sleep and head out to make breakfast.
I know that all the brothers love my cooking, and today they will be getting a taste of it fresh from the oven.
I know that it’s early when I wake up, but that seems to be a habit that I haven’t been able to break.
I’m lost in my own world listening to music I have downloaded on my phone and dancing as I am moving around the kitchen.
I have seemed to forget that I’m not in my uncle’s house, and that I am cooking before everyone wakes up.
I’m pretty much shaking my ass in Colton’s shirt and the leggings I was wearing yesterday. I know that I’m singing at the top of my lungs because my uncle and auntie are deep sleepers and they have never said anything about my singing, so they probably never hear me.
I always go off into my own world which is why I don’t hear anyone come in.
Not at least until it’s too late.
Once the song is over, the clapping starts… and it’s not just one person clapping; I hear several people clapping.
I drop my head so that my chin hits my chest and my face heats with embarrassment. I don’t want to look to see how many people there are behind me.
I reluctantly turn around and find the President of the club with his woman, and my Uncle Bear with some brothers that I haven’t remembered their names yet. Then there is Colton. He is leaning against the wall with an amused smile on his face.
Everyone looks like they are trying to hold back laughter.
I have no words for how I feel in this moment.
Thankfully Stacey, Ella, and Olivia come out from behind the guys and turn the music up louder and start dancing and singing horribly along with me.
I know what they are doing and I’m forever thankful for that. I hear some chuckles when Ella starts some weird shuffle and, wow, that woman can’t dance. That makes me love her more. She is risking embarrassing herself so that I won’t have to feel embarrassed.
They all grab something to help me cook with while dancing. Stacey starts singing to me with a wooden spoon and I can’t help but laugh and join along with the spatula in my hand.
I’m so thankful that I have met these women. They help make the world feel less lonely. I wish that I had friends like them growing up or had known them back then.
It isn’t much longer that the food and muffins are ready. With the women helping me, it goes by much faster.
I have no problem sitting on Colton’s lap while we eat.
The men take off for a meeting while we clean up. The door opens and a prospect comes in with my mother behind him.
I groan inside my head because I really don’t want to see her, and I’m surprised that it took her this long to come or to find me.
When she looks at me, she gives a smirk. Like I would ever willingly leave with her.
“Sophie. I knew you would be here with… them.” She looks at the prospect and gives Lily a look of disgust.
I snort. “Well of course. They are family.”
“Enough of this. We left years ago, and I swore we would never come back here. You had a life most people dream of. You had money and a nice man who was willing to put up with you.” She says it like I was someone that nobody ever wanted, including her. If she didn’t want me then why wouldn’t she just have just left me here? I could have been so happy all these years and met Colton a lot sooner.
“A nice man? You mean an asshole who thinks that because he uses his fists, he can control me? I am not going to stand there and take it. If you like him so much, you take him. I am not going anywhere with you. I have a man who knows how to take care of a woman. Get lost and on your way. I don’t want to see your face again,” I say with more confidence than I feel, but if she taught me anything over the years it was not to let the enemy see through you. I spent years faking that I was happy with her and Vince. I can fake that I don’t want to run away from her in this moment.
She points at me and gives me a threatening look. “Listen here, you little bitch. You will do as I say. I didn’t waste all this time raising you so that you can throw it all away on some biker. The only reason that I stayed with your father is because he was supposed to inherit his parents’ money. The asshole didn’t mention that they left it to you right after you were born. I haven’t waited all this time for you to inherit it for me to lose out on my payday. I got your father out of the way and I will do what I can to get my hands on that money,” she says with the most evil look in her eyes that I have ever seen.
I don’t know how she does it, but Lily moves fast. The next thing I know, she has my mom by the throat against the wall. My mom is trying to claw at her arm with her fake nails, but Lily gives a scary smirk.
“Listen here, you gold digging bitch. I don’t know who you think you are. You fucked up big time messing with my best friend and now you want to take his little girl away from here? All because of some money?” Her face changes into a knowing smile. “Who do you think suggested that they leave the money to Sophie? So that when she was old enough, she could leave you. She wouldn’t be under your watch. There was no time limit. All she had to do was come back here and sign. You don’t know how many years I spent searching for Nicolas’ killer. I wanted to look them in the eyes and make them feel the pain that I have felt since he died and have them beg for death,” she says lowly.
I was so concentrated on what Lily was saying that I didn’t hear the men come out from Church.
Bear and Prez come up behind Lily and grab my mother by the arms. I don’t feel bad about what’s going to happen. I couldn’t care less. She took my dad away from me and couldn’t show me an ounce of love since he died, all because she wanted money.
Uncle Bear told me about it when I came back, but I wasn’t ready to sign. I wanted this whole mess with my mother and Vince over with. I’m so glad that I decided to wait.
I feel Colton wrap his arms around my waist. “Are you okay, baby?” he asks in his deep voice that I can’t seem to get enough of.
I nod my head weakly. “Yeah, I think so. I can’t believe that she would just show up here,” I say.
I feel him nod his head. “I know, baby, but Prez has been waiting for her to make her appea
rance because Lily has had unfinished business with your mother for a long time.”
I blow out a breath and look at Lily as she turns around and looks at me intensely. I give what I hope is a reassuring smile, and she smiles back. You wouldn’t think that only moments ago she was the scariest I have ever seen her with the sweet smile that’s now on her face.
“No one fucks with my girls. I have your back and I had unfinished business. Your daddy was my best friend and I have been waiting for her to come to me,” she states.
“I know, and I wish that I could feel bad about the shit she’s about to go through with everything that she just confessed but, honestly, she never really felt like my mother,” I say with a shrug. How can I feel sorry for my mother when she’s treated me like the dirt on the bottom of her shoe for as long as I can remember?
“Well now that she’s here, we just need to worry about your ex. He isn’t going to have it so easy,” Colton states. I nod my head because I know that there’s nothing that I can do to change the fate he will face if he comes here.
My mother will get off easy compared to him.
The longer that he takes to come for me, the more worried I become. I know him. By losing all my friends, not that I had any really, I was able to study him and know his routine. He wanted to make sure that his life was all I knew so that I could become the perfect wife, but that’s going to bite him in the ass. All I need to do is think.
Chapter Nine
Trigger ‘Colton’
Three weeks later
It has been three weeks and I finally have ownership of the house. Sophie refused to put her name on it at first. We had to come to a deal since she was getting her grandparents’ money now that her family was out of the way.
Her mother’s confession about Sophie’s dad had made the whole club red with anger.
From what I was told over the weeks, he was a very loved man, and a loyal and respected brother.
We couldn’t exactly make her disappear because Sophie would become the first suspect. Sophie’s mom would have definitely made sure that her tracks were found.
I could tell that Lily was itching to get a hand on her, but we knew to play it a certain way before we let Lily loose on her.
We sent Sophie’s mom back home placing a tracker on her phone, car, and watch. We didn’t want to take any chances. We also had spyware on her phone in case she decided to call Vince or tried to attack Sophie.
She happened to live in the town Krista’s father is the president of, The Wicked Dragons. She certainly picked the wrong time to visit. When they heard what was going on, there was no way that they would let that go, especially since Krista and Sophie have become close.
Krista went home with her father and there was no telling if or when she was coming back. I had witnessed some heated words between her and Pyro, but I wasn’t going to get in the middle of it.
That guy has a rough road ahead of him if he wants to claim her.
The deal that I made with Sophie was that she could buy the furniture and decor for the house because I was not going to budge on being the only one paying for the house. There was a loophole that if I was with her when shopping then I would pay for the furniture, so you better believe that she did a lot of online shopping instead. She also chose to take Stacey, Ella, Olivia, and Krista with a few brothers to furniture shop when I was working.
It’s going to be our home, so I want it to have something from both of us. This will be our place to be happy, and I will do whatever Sophie wants to make it a home. I love seeing her get excited when she shows me pictures. It will be nice for me to have more than a bedroom to offer her.
I had talked to Bear and Prez about it because they didn’t want me to hurt their little girl and worried that I was pushing for too much too fast. I asked them what they did when they knew that Sasha and Lily were “the ones” and they nodded their heads. I knew for a fact that they grabbed and held on as soon as they had those two.
Now that we have the keys and a bunch of items in storage, we are getting the house ready for us to live in.
A few brothers and the women are helping. When I open the storage locker, my eyes widen in surprise.
Crash whistles low. “Wow, Sophie sure did some shopping! Are you sure you have room to fit all of this shit?”
All I can do is shrug. I have no idea if this will all fit but I’m going to trust my woman.
We get started on loading everything into the truck. When it is full, I lock the storage room back up and we head out to the new house.
Sophie is already there with the women and a few brothers. Everyone gets right to work and starts loading everything into the house. Crash and I make a couple more trips before we finally have everything moved over to the new house.
Sophie and the women work fast. They have a couple brothers lifting a couch and trying to find a good place for it.
I can’t help but smile when I see the look on Sophie’s face. She looks so happy and her eyes are shining with excitement.
I walk over to her, pull her into my arms, and kiss her. I don’t care about the cheers and hoots and hollers that everyone seems to be making. I’m guessing that they are trying to make Sophie blush.
When I pull back, she looks around at everyone and does that cute as fuck blush that I love to see.
“Okay, let’s get back to this. I’d like to sleep with my woman in our new home tonight,” I say.
Everyone chuckles, but I’m fucking excited to have some privacy for a change. Finally, I’ll get my woman all to myself.
I don’t know how long we spend moving everything into the house, but the brothers and I head out to the backyard and start firing up the new grill, or “breaking it in” as Cook likes to say. I am glad that he is taking over the cooking. I wouldn’t have the patience to cook for several brothers and old ladies.
I don’t bother going inside to help because I know that Sophie has a picture in her head of what the house will look like. Instead, I go with Crash and pick up a few cases of beer for everyone. With this crowd you can never have too much beer, so we grab probably more than we need.
When I get back, more brothers are outside and I’m assuming their old ladies are inside helping Sophie. I hope that means that we won’t have to spend days unpacking.
Sophie
I’m inside with the other women. The house is full of laughter and good times.
I am happy that I can consider all these women my friends. Not one of them has talked negatively to me.
I had seen where all their tattoos have been placed and I’m excited for when Colton wants me to get one. I’m not sure how I will handle it since I never like getting needles, but I will do it for him. I’d be proud to sport his name on me.
“All I’m saying is that it’s fast for you to be moving in together. How do you know that he doesn’t have some crazy or annoying habits you don’t like?” Stacey says, and Olivia nods her head in agreement.
Olivia snaps her fingers. “Yes! It’s like when Aiden threw his dirty clothes beside the laundry basket and not in it! Why can’t they ever make it the extra inch? EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!” she says loudly. I look out the patio doors, and Steal looks back and winks at her.
When I look back at her, I catch her sticking her tongue out at him.
I can’t help but chuckle. You can see the love they have for each other even though she’s bugging him about laundry.
Around my mom and Vince, I wasn’t allowed to complain about anything. I thought things in my head but was always told that my opinion didn’t matter.
Ella looks at Olivia excitedly and bounces in her seat. “Yes! Or how about when they eat all your snacks?! Sometimes I think, ‘I will eat that later’ and have a nap with D.J. and when I wake up, all my food is gone!!!” she says loudly showing how passionate she is about this topic.
Since the patio door is open, Damien hears her clearly.
“That was one time, babe! One time!” he yells back, and everyo
ne laughs.
“And don’t let it happen again!!” she yells back, but she has a smile on her face so I can tell that she’s not actually mad.
I hope to have the easy banter with Colton that these couples have with each other. You can see that they love their men even if they bug them with small things like laundry or food.
I can’t help but feel nervous moving in with Colton, but I know in my heart that he is nothing like Vince. He has been patient and sweet to me ever since he started watching over me. It also helped that we spent so many hours together and, after I got over the shy awkward stage of having someone there, it was nice to have someone to talk to. He always seemed interested in what I said or did, never bored, which was a nice feeling for a change.
I look around at all the people here to welcome us into our new home, and I can’t help the smile that comes over my face. They make me feel closer to my dad. I can’t help but hope that he is watching over me and is pleased that I finally found my way back home. I now see why these people and this club were so important to him.
Chapter Ten
Sophie
Everyone is just leaving. I’m sure that they would have stayed longer, and it would have been a party, but Colton had made it obvious that he wanted everyone out. I couldn’t help but giggle when he said it was time for them to leave because he wanted to finally be alone with his woman.
We have been alone together, but nothing like this. Sure, it might be stupid to move in with a man you haven’t had sex with but, like all things with Colton, it just seems natural.
Colton shuts the door and locks it. The women had helped me clean up quickly before they were basically pushed out the door. They didn’t feel right leaving me with a mess.
I look around and it doesn’t seem so bad, so I decide to leave it until morning.
Colton looks at me with a smirk and grabs my hand to start pulling me into the bedroom.
I follow him with nerves and excitement fluttering around in my stomach.
