Jason couldn’t think of anything to say, so he just smiled sheepishly, shrugged, and got into the back of the ambulance with Tanya, and they headed for the ER, siren blazing. Then it hit him; he was in an ambulance, on the way to the ER, again, with a woman that looked like Tanya, wearing a little black dress, and having uncontrollable spontaneous multiple orgasms. He asked the paramedic, already knowing the answer, “What hospital are we headed for?”
The young man answered, “Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church.”
As Jason passed out and slid from his seat onto the ambulance floor, he mumbled out loud to no one in particular, “Oh God, oh God, Chelsea.”
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
My heartfelt thank you goes out to my wife for her patience, love and support in reading various drafts of my manuscript and providing helpful input while tolerating my sometimes silly sense of humor, and to my loving youngest daughter, Jackie, for her early edits that eliminated redundancy and improved the flow of the story. I would also like to thank my local Lake Writers group for their early input, and a special thanks goes out to the editors at Koehler Books for their excellent work and for teaching me about throwaway sentences and editing a book for the reader rather than the author.
