Starlit: A Novel

After word got out that she’d slapped Burt Tillman, everyone who was anyone came to the same obvious conclusion: Susie Sheppard will never work in this town again.
Well, she was proving them wrong. Sort of.
Granted, Chatsworth wasn’t on the most celebrated side of the Hollywood Hills, but it, too, was dedicated to the film industry, and Dandy Candy had welcomed her with open arms. Now that Taylor Made was going mainstream—thanks to her new manager, Sadie Fletcher—the studio needed some classy new talent, and it eagerly embraced Los Angeles’s most celebrated fallen star.
This was only a temporary setback—at least, that was what she kept telling herself. Besides, the way Susie saw it, being in porn had its upside. Already, in three very short months, she had racked up more movies than most actresses her age made in a lifetime. And considering her age—her real age—that was saying a lot.
While her novice gangbang movies were popular, they weren’t as much fun for her as the girl-on-girl scenes. But if Susie had learned one thing, it was that timing was everything, and she was willing to bide her time and work her way into the coveted dominatrix roles. And when she did, once again, Susie Sheppard would be on top.
