HIDDEN IN TIME

Then he was before her, his heart in his eyes. “Fate brought ye to me and to our clan. Believing I’d lost ye forever nearly destroyed me, and I never want to go through that again.” He opened his palm to reveal two gold bands, cast with Celtic eternity knots all along the surface. “Shall we reaffirm our vows?”

The love she felt for this man nearly bowled her over. “Gladly.” She took the ring from his palm. “With this ring, I thee wed.” She slipped it onto the ring finger of his left hand. “I promise I will love and cherish you and only you all the days of my life.” Sighing happily, she gazed into his eyes.

He took her left hand gently in his and slid the band on her ring finger. “With this ring, I thee wed. I swear to love and cherish ye and only ye until my very last breath.”

“I believe fate did bring us together, and we have a purpose. She wrapped her arms around his waist. “I don’t ever want to be parted from you again either.” She breathed him in and tugged his T-shirt up so she could run her hands over his warm, soft skin. A wave of his desire mingling with hers rendered her weak-kneed and breathless.

“What do ye say we become reacquainted, wife?” He backed her across the room until her legs hit the bed.

“I insist that we do, husband.” She swiped the clothing into a pile, tossed into her suitcase, and set it on the floor. Grayce fell back across the mattress, pulling Brian down with her. She could hardly contain her joy as they landed together, side by side. Stripping him of his clothing slowly, she rediscovered every magnificent inch of him.

Once he was completely naked, he began removing her clothing in the same methodical way, paying homage to every bit of skin he uncovered. His strong callused hands, soft warm kisses, nips and licks nearly drove her out of her mind.

“I’ve missed this, Brian. I’ve missed you,” she said, running her palms down his torso to his sensitive belly and lower. She reacquainted herself with every inch of his delectable body, and he returned the favor until she feared she might explode.

When they finally joined, she was already so primed, it took mere seconds for her to climax, and he soon followed. Sated and drowsy, Grayce snuggled against him, chest to chest, one arm around his waist, and the other beneath his neck. She sighed. “I never believed I could be this in love or this excited about the future.”

“We’ve a lot of work to do. What kind of education do ye think I should pursue?”

“Hospitality. If we’re to run a boutique hotel, that would be helpful.”

He huffed out a laugh. “This is all so—”

“Surreal?” she said, nipping his chin.

“Aye, but in a good way.” He ran his hands up and down her bare back, eliciting a delicious shiver.

“Absolutely in a very good way,” she agreed just as his lips found hers.
