"Black, the Black Crystal," Lisa stopped there, trying to get Black to answer her question in the instant.

"What about it?" Black seemed quite silent as today. He hasn't been able to speak properly for as much as he's wanted to these last fifteen years.

"If that's the key to finding out more information about the radical Avarian Beast of the Amili, wouldn't that mean the whole world woud be at war again?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"I don't know," Lisa scratched her head, trying to conclude her opinion of the Black Crystal. "Isn't it a bit ironic that you're trying to get two Avarian Beasts, who can't stand the site of each other, together for the first time in years?"

"I didn't say that it was a simplistic as it is doing it. It's easier done than said for me. But for you, easier said than done. As I've mentioned before, there's nothing I can't do for my comrades... That includes you, Lisa," Black spoke through sheer honesty. "I'm going to check on Crystal to make sure she's doing alright. We don't have much to sit back and loligag. Lola and her team is already on the move and I'll need you five to be on point against them. They may send in reinforcements, so I'm applying that you show your prime performance against them."

It was rare that Black's ever bothered using the word 'performance' in any of his sentences or speeches against others in dialog.

Lisa's wings crawled out from behind her spine, hissing disgustingly without a speck of blood oozing from her spine.

"Dammit, that shit hurts like hell," Lisa winced while rubbing her neck. "Maybe you can have Akihiro do some more research for me while I'm away?"

Asking a Grim Reaper to do her a favor seemed to be out of character for her. Lisa didn't know what she was thinking when she said all that.

"Or, I mean--" Black had shushed Lisa as he retaliated.

"I'll think about it. You'll only be gone outside of Leserado for the next few days. Don't forget that the Tomb isn't that far from the Western Facility. Just a few days away, that's better than taking an entire month just to get over to the Northern Coast, which may not be enough time for you to get back. Since I can only extend my Energy Signal for up to two-hundred miles."

"If that's the case, then can I have some more fun Lola and that brat of hers. What's his name, Hitachi?" Lisa suggested of her own will. "Can I provoke to tell her about what we did to her that night?"

"No... I prefer to see her go full throttle, using ounce of her inner rage to released the Legendary Avarian Beast of the Mizuka Bloodline. I wish to see her son's reaction and Lola's alternation. It's a power that can't necessarily be rivaled by other forces except the Aruba family. Seeming that those two have had always had common ground so much more. But Lola wasn't able to use it fifteen years ago because she had no realization of it resting within her," Black uttered. He soon raked the door before he opened it.

"I see what you want me to do. You want me to say all that just to get her riled up, huh?"

If Lisa is capable of saying some horrendous things about Lola's past in front of her only child, then that's what Black is granting the permission to do. It was always best for the woman to release all that anger and for her to stop lashing out at everyone else that's trying to be there to support her every step of the way.

"Lisa, you are aware of the Mizuka Avarian Beast correct?" Black asked.

"Yea you mean the one that's inside of the Raging Orb, correct?" Lisa cocked her right eye.

"Yes, some of that power is what's derailing Lola's relationship between her and Hitachi. I would love to see those two exchange hand-to-hand blows without a second thought," Black placed his hand on the doorknob, taking off the hood of his cloak. "One more thing I need for you to do, Lisa, my dear."

"Anything for you, Black, I'm on it," Lisa had stated, having a series of multiple perosnalities. "You know that I can do anything."

Black turned his skeletal skull slowly and gave her these orders before he left.

Hitachi and the others were in the cafeteria along with warriors of the West, South and East coasts. They've been expecting mroe of the disrespect coming from them, but had no intentions of caring rather or not to retaliate with verbal insults.

"You alright, Hitachi? You and your mom aren't getting along that well," Alex asked, patting his best friend's right shoulder.

"I don't even want to think about her. I'm more concerned about Crystal," Hitachi said, taking another spoonful of soup into his mouth. "This isn't the time for me to let emotions get in the way."

"But Hitachi," Sonya stepped in, trying to consult Hitachi in his time of need. "She's your mother. You don't even realize how lucky you are to have a mom."

Hitachi predicted what his childhood friends were going to say next, not agitated by the amount of people listening in from the other coasts.

"If there's one thing that I could learn about my mother is the fact that she's an asshole and that doesn't even think about her actions before making a move," Hitachi had encouraged himself to speak his mind toward everyone, but there are times where he wished he could say it toward his own blood. "I'm going to bed, don't expect me to wake up to train tomorrow."

Hitachi's choice of words were no mere sugar-coat. He saw his mother, who insisted on talking with him about yesterday's events and how it past it's peak.

  "I don't even want to--"

Hitachi was cut off by his mom, who was trying her best to nip everything in the bud. Frankly, her son went along with the plan and decided to hear her out by talking privately in his room.

  ***

"Hitachi, listen to me," Lola uttered, while walking behind him. Hitachi listened in as he took off his shirt.

  "I'm listening."

"Then when a person is trying to talk to you with truth, you have to look them in the eyes and know deep down that they want you to be understanding of what kind of people they are," Lola said, touching her son's naked shoulder.

He stopped doing what he did he placed his shirt on. efore

"Alright, I'll listen. But you dodging all these questions from me about why you're always in a bad mood. Like you're accusing me of being your son," Hitachi yielded, looking the woman in the eyes. "Is that how all mothers are nowadays to their children?"

"No, Hitachi. You know damn well that I would never abandon you in your time of need. The only time I did cross the line of hurting you was when I wished you'd never been born," Lola admitted. "That was wrong of me. I did say that when the time came, I'd expose you to the truth about what had happened to me in the past."

Hitachi's chances of speaking back in terms of gettting a concluded understanding, he rubbed his mouth without even gawking at the scarlet-haired woman.

"Why is it so hard for you to be honest with your own son? Isn't that a code that neither of said we'd break," Hitachi closed the closet door, swiftly turning his head and peering at the General who sat on his mattress with her left leg crossed.

"Because it's a truth that could've ruined your childhood. It was bad enough that you were taken hostage at the hands of the Cyrius Organization. I rescued you with various people, putting my own life on the line to save yours like any incredible parent would do," Lola said. She rubbed the heavy blanket after glancing at the eighteen year-old.

"Then what is it that you're hiding from?" Hitachi asked.

Lola sighed with her heart skipping every three heart-beats. She pressured herself into saying something too unorthodox, "I'm hiding from my tragic night." It was the only thing she could say before proceeding to the entrance. "It'd be a lot easier for you to not ask me anymore questions until everything is resolved. Once we got Crystal back, Black is defeated and Kuronina's revival's been halted, then you and I can talk."

  ***

The Black Crystal afloat within a massive ball of black aura located in the Ressurection Labortory. Both Lisa and Black had dedicated a few hours of their lives into watching it alter. Having more than one conversation, it's peaked the succubus' anticipation of what
she'd rather want more than anything in the world of Intoxia.

"The Amili Beast had always thought about sabotaging the former host of the Black Crystal's potential since it was being abused and used for a much greater threat," Black stated as he remained still with Lisa sitting down. "If you even came to a conclusion that Renasakuya only wanted that power for herself, you're ultimately mistaken. The Avarians have tried their best to entrust the human race, since the humans claimed that they have potential to do anything, but up until fifteen years ago, that claim was no longer valid or believable to the Avarian Beasts. That's when we came in."

"It was Diamond's doing, wasn't it?" Lisa assumed.

"There were certain actions Diamond never made because she feared for her army's safety. But on the contrary, she deliberately went along with the flow until the time was right. She thought that having Crystal was the best move for her, seeming that I'm the type of person that intent to slaughtering a woman who just birthed her child isn't as immoral as my other tasks were prior to that day."

The balled aura soon erupted with black mist trickling out from within a claws pillar. Resurrection Labortory soon altered into the colors of dark sienna brown, deep carmine pink and davy grey.

Lisa eyes sealed shut with her veins strangely erupting from her forehead. The top of her forehead had been grilling from the inside, enforcing her braing to give a slight advantage to controlling what she's gaining from the "Amili Ritual."

Her wings began to sink drastically into her back, nails extending out farther than average. Her gray hair had grow out longer with black mist swirling around her body. She couldn't feel her heart beating at a normal pace anymore. She slowly collapsed to the ground and willingly squirmed dramatically.

A black tail rose itself out from her lower back and coiled around her neck. Her ears detected an ambitious and relentless sound of the Amili Beast flowing through her blood vessels and the muscles in her arms growing a bit. She felt the screaming antagonizing her for those who shall be victimized withing the next few days.

Once the air had cleared and the Black Crystal was absorbed into Lisa's body, she horrifically stood. Once the fog cleared up, Lisa was in a different state that appealed Black's ability to entrust her new powers.

Lisa's appearance became radical. Armored thongs, her hands have been blanketed with gloved claws and are virtually deadly to cut through.

The succubus started speaking in an unknown that was established by her family's legacy. Speaking in the language of the Amili; ones that obtained Black Crystal with the sensible knowledge of seduction, regardless of gender, are capable of deciphering one of Intoxia's most difficult languages.

As he listened on, he sensed another entity's aura located on the far east side of Leserado. But within a split second, he discovered that Lisa's newfound powers had begun to develop an even darker and more furocious attitude. Strangely enough, Lisa's incompetent ways of doing things had changed the moment Black' stopped the heartless vixen in her tracks.

"Do not proceeed in letting your arrogance develop because of your newfound powers. We've managed to get the Black Crystal and as long as the remembrance of our deal stayed attached to you, it's yours to keep," Black advised with his scythe unsheathing.

Milliseconds later, Lisa's voice soon soothed calmly through the air as she swatted the blood off her wings. She tasted nothing but the bitterness of the flesh she's been waiting to devour for the past decade.

"Thank you, Black. I've been waiting to use this Black Crystal for the longest time, so you're aware of how rare this is used in combat," Lisa replied, gawking over at the entrance and saw the Aruba teenager standing with both hands applauding her.

"You look pretty good with that, Lisa," Crystal complimented, walking down the stairs. Her darker side reached heights that none of the previous apprentices Black had trained in the past. "I must admit, I could have some fun with something like that if we weren't going to war right now."

Lisa giggled lowly, acknowledging Crystal's character. It was not meant to be for the teenager would willingly be making the choices by having fear cloud her thought process by being absorbed by the blackness of the Black's "Dark Wisdom of Retribution" one of the books he started writing and illustrating a few years after Diamond's death.

"Lisa," Black uttered as he walked past the woman. "Marscilla, Thorn and yourself will be at the entrance platform of Leserado, only six miles upward toward the Balcony where Crystal and I will be."

"What about Charlie and the others?" Lisa asked, hands on hips as she pulled on her armored thong that are stretchable.

"Don't worry about them. They're on their ways back to Widows Forest for a more critical task. They will be back within the next few days for the battle," Black ordered, reaching the top of the stairs and patting the teenager's left shoulder.

"Like...?" Lisa seemed too occupied in Charlie and Emerald's task. "I'm was more interested in going along with them."

"I have ordered those two to get a hold of the Amili Beast of the your bloodline. So, don't be too surprised if you haven't seen her for the longest time. The Black Crystal is more relevant when it comes to Renasakuya."

"Not sure I follow you, but I guess this looks way better on me then it would on her. So I'll be taking my leave," Lisa wisely stated, walking out the door.

  ***

At Widows Forest; Renasakuya's eyes boiled with sheer hatred and brute turmoil. The impact of those scared out of their lives all started to rely on her to be a savior of their Avarian lineage. Hence that she's the only that's been noticed.

"The Devil has bestowed his minions upon my home and now I have been provoked to defend it at all cost. I must take you down once and for all," Renasakuya, standing on all eight legs, armored and prepared for attack, stood before...

Charlie V. Mizuka and Emerald S. Aruba.

Chapter 34 - Nostalgic Use Of Symbols

  ***

Returning to the Medical Ward, Lola along with the others, had decided to visit Hiba and Shizuka before the journey to Leserado commenced. The two of them have been on the shelf for a while, fighting for their lives against the Bloodlust Revelation's Thorn Poison and Charlie Mizuka.

The first group to arrive in the room, since Lola had decided that it'd been best if they all give Hiba their token of gratitude for trying to fight off the Bloodlust Revelation back at the Asylum, was Shizuka's group.

Shizuka had been asleep for awhile, knowing that she still has a long way to go before she recovered completely. Hence that the Zerukin Blitz's infection had taken it's toll upon her around the time she and Black fought at Leserado eight years ago.

Rebecca, Kathleen, Jonathan, Reku, Annabeth and Isabella were the first to approach the Hinura patient. They all had frustrated masks that they didn't feel too pleased with trying to compliment the woman.

Out of desperation to do as the Core General had suggested and expected from them, Reku was the first to speak his mind, "OK, Hinura. Now, we're going to make this clear. You may think that you're ahead of the class back at the Ujikadaka Academy, but keep this in mind that we're above you and your friends or whatever."

Hiba had a straight face, not caring much for the fact that it was his opinion, "OK. I'm thrilled and pleased to have you on the team."

"I'll cut the bullshit and wait outside for you guys," Reku said to his team without a any sign of happiness.

"Look, I'll just cut to the chase," Hiba quoted with both her hands on her knees with a warm smile that can easily manipulate a person's perspective. "The one thing that I need to say, as a fellow warrior of you all and General Mizuka, is I believe in you all as warriors."

Trying their best to defy the logic, not knowing Hiba's personality that vividly, Rebecca made a concluded statement before leading the group out the room for the Southern group to come in, "Alright, Hinura. Since you have a sense of understanding that we're believing in, I'll just say is get your ass back into high gear as soon as you recover
."

"Honestly, you guys feel as if I'm lying about having faith in you guys, then it's possibility that you can even ask the General and the others that I'm not as bad as you think I am," Hiba went into detail about her honesty.

Annabeth didn't suspect much from what she's done research on about the Hinura bloodline and what their nature truly is. She was the next to speak to the oddly-pink haired woman, "There's a few things that I've done with as far as learning about your family and you're all very honest and speak truthfully about others without worrying about the consequences. So I respect you. Get well soon."

Hiba's smile seemed dense, but knew that she was being complimented and praised that she's be healed soon. That's all she simultaneously gave them.

  ***

By the time Shizuka's group had left out of the room, Tornado's squad was up next, except all of them had decided, according to the Poison General's orders, that they take their time and be pleased to be taking over for Hiba.

First up was Berusa Aruba, third generation warrior of the Aruba family. He took his time and chose the right words to say before he left out with his heart racing slowly. Realizing how beautiful Hiba was as a person and facially, he took a deep breath and kept it cool.

"Well, it's an h-- Honor and priviledge to be fighting along side you, Hiba Hinura. That's all I really have to share right now," Berusa quickly left out, but Tornado understood why the young man pulled a stunt like that.

Hiba giggled, not taking too much offense of his escape from the embarrassment he's been placed in; especially for a nervous lad.

"He's shy, isn't he, General Poison," Hiba's laughed loudly.

"Yea, but he's a good guy though. You should've seen how hopeless he was when I first met that boy. No telling whatsoever," Tornado replied. "Alright, Iya Hinura, you're up next."

"I'm not going," Iya denied uncomfortably. "She's always--"

Tornado's face quickly changed into somewhat of a demon, as his way to intimidate those that disobey his orders, "Perhaps I haven't made myself very clear. I said that you're going to tell Hiba to get well or I'll make sure you get put in this mattress and let's see how you'd like it."
