“How about seven?”
“Seven’s good. Is this place dressy?”
Sam thought for a while.
“That black dress you wore last Thursday night would be about right.”
Bethie was closing in.
“You know,” Sam said to Hunter as he stood up to leave, “I’m really much better at planning this sort of thing than you are.”
“In this one instance,” Hunter said, “possibly.”

Yes, it really is all over. Well, there’ll be the trial, but I have to say that I’m looking forward to that. Thanks for all the compliments on the photos. That means a lot.
Yes, it was the handsome doctor I mentioned earlier. I was right in the kitchen with the murderer.
No, the picture of Sam is not flattering. In fact, it’s not even that good. He’s way better looking than that.
I’ve got a lot to tell you, but will wait until next weekend when I’m there for the show, because it is truly stuff that requires a half gallon of Rocky Road ice cream.
