After Everything I've Done For You: A Chi-Town Soap Opera Page 8

by Nicety

Instantaneously, my legs trembled and my knees buckled. I knew he was going to mention to Jeremiah’s ass that I was here. It would only send his ass into a frenzy wanting to beat my ass ‘cause I was at the club rather than in the house with the kids. It was annoying as fuck how he wanted me where he could find me at all times but let me try to get him to at the very least spend the night with us and it was a fucking problem. Fuck that shit.

“Can I get two more please?” My finger raised ordering them both for me. No sharing.

I needed these motherfuckas. I had nothing else to take my pain away aside from weed and alcohol. So I was going to use both of them to my advantage. Tonight was about me trying to reach out and claim my freedom. I was tired of living in Jeremiah’s shadow, living in fear that he would leave the kids and me and I would never see him again. He knew where his family was.

Once he saw that and started missing that, he would come running. No doubt. But I had to make him run. Giving it to him was too easy. If there was no reason to fight, why would he? That was it. I had to make him fight for us. I had the two most important things in his life that if they were taken away would crumble his whole understanding. It wasn’t until now drinking on these drinks that I realized that I had the upper hand. My phone binged. A text message had come through from a number that I didn’t even recognize.

“Hey you.” Cesar leaned into my ear just as I was about to press the button to open the text. “Think you’ve got enough Pink Panties?”

“Oh…um, my friend and I were drinking these.” One of my eyes closed as I was struggling to think of an excuse why there were three drinks sitting in front of me.

  “Hmm, what friend?”

I turned around feeling a buzz from the affects of the liquor, noticing that Damita had ventured off leaving me alone. “Well, she was just here. Her name’s Damita.”

“Hey, I’m not here to judge you lady. Gon’ on and get faded as long as you’re not driving it’s all good,” Cesar joked staring at with those dreamy eyes of his.

“So what are you doing in this club?” I asked casually sipping on one of my drinks.

“Awe shit, let’s just say I know the owner.” He exuded confidence like he was the boss.

“Really? Hmm, impressive.” Teasingly I bit my lip.

Our smiles seemed to flirt with one another while our eyes danced around the words our lips didn’t speak. Apart of me wished I was able to get down more food earlier because these drinks were beginning to make me feel nauseated. I sat it down on the bar hoping I didn’t call Earl standing there talking to him. That’s all I needed was to blow chunks in front of Cesar and let him see that I wasn’t capable of holding my liquor. I reached out my hand to touch his cheek warmly when my arm was jolted away from the hardest bump known to man.

“Damn bitch, excuse you. You can’t watch where you’re going?” I popped off turning to check the bitch that so rudely interrupted my flow, a bit of her beer spilling onto my arm.

“Oops. My bad. Did I disturb you?” Bianca retorted over the loud music, covering her smile with one hand in the process.

“Ugh, I’m sure you did that shit on purpose. Excuse me, I was in the middle of an important conversation.” My hand flicked waving her off at the same time I rolled my eyes turning my attention back towards Cesar.

“You know what, actually I was wondering if I could talk to you for a second.” Bianca stepped in. “This shouldn’t take long.”

“No, I’m busy.” I stepped around her to regain Cesar’s attention.

“Hey, you know what? You go ahead and handle your business and I’ll catch up with you a little later,” Cesar winked before giving me a forehead kiss and pimping off. He didn’t even give me a chance to respond.

“Ugh, what the fuck do you want bitch?” The anger within had reached a level that was not even on the Richter scale.

“I can’t talk to you over all this noise. Come let’s go somewhere else.” She motioned for me to follow her as I snatched up one of my drinks tailing behind her.

It was annoying as fuck that I had finally had a second chance to make things right with Cesar and she would come along and destroy it in the blink of an eye. Furthermore, I was surprised Jeremiah let her out this late. He was a stickler about his women being home when he was home so it was crazy to see her out late like this at a fucking club knowing he was at home by now. This was usually around the time that he would text me good night and I would know he was in the house and wouldn’t be returning anymore of my texts or phone calls.

Bianca shoved the bathroom door open, holding the door open for me to enter. There were two birds standing in the mirror beautifying themselves for whatever lames they were taking home tonight. When they saw us they automatically turned their lips up and rolled their eyes as if we knew which niggas they were after and wanted to snatch them. We quickly returned the stank face back to the their asses before focusing on each other.

“Okay Bianca. What is this about bitch?” I huffed sitting my drink down on the metal ledge next to one of the sinks.

Before I looked over at her Bianca was swinging her beer bottle my way. It connected with the side of my head and I thought I was knocked out for sure. The adrenaline inside of me though allowed me to swipe my drink at her hoping it would launch at her head but it missed. This bitch had come all the way down here to fight me in a fucking club. She wasn’t a woman. She was a coward and even more so for trying to blind-side me with a fucking beer bottle. But if it was a fight she wanted, then it was a fight this bitch would surely get.

“Bitch,” I shouted, pulling on her hair and ramming her head into one of the nearby stall doors.

The two birds that were in the mirror quickly bolted out of the bathroom tip toeing around us so as not to get hit. Bianca kept scratching away at me trying to get me to release my hands of her hair but I wasn’t going to. The floor became slippery as fuck under our four-inch heels with the spilled drinks and broken glass scattered everywhere. With one hand I reached underneath her now tattered weave, punching the shit out of her face with my fist. This bitch thought it was sweet to sneak an ass whooping in on me but she obviously didn’t know whom she was fucking with.

One of my heels caught a piece of glass and with that I slipped backwards, landing on my back awkwardly. That shit hurt like hell but I wasn’t done punching the shit out of her. Of course, this gave her the upper hand allowing her access to my face punching the shit out of me. Her fists were like flying daggers to my face forcing me to release her hair and protect the very thing that people looked at everyday. I couldn’t have my face all bloody and bruised with knots all around it looking as if I got my ass whopped. No one ever believed the person’s version of the story that had the most war wounds after the fight.

Bianca wasn’t letting up my ass though. I had to go for the jugular. Using the only limbs I had readily available, my leg reached up kicking her ass in the stomach. My other leg came up doing the same thing on some Street Fighter shit, kicking that bitch further and further off of me as I grabbed her hair coming to my feet while she fell on her back. I had the bitch now. She was lying on her back shielding her face from every blow I was delivering to her ass. Then she tried to use my trick on me by kicking as well. Her long ass legs won but it forced me to back off of her separating rather than risk falling back on the floor under her again.

“Com’ on bitch. Com’ on,” I egged her on watching as she charged at me.

“You stupid bitch. Stay the fuck away from my man,” Bianca screamed rushing me wrapping her long alien like fingers around my neck.

“You’re so fucking stupid. If he was your man then why is he at my house making kids and shit with me then bitch,” I reached over her punching her in the eyes with both hands.

Bianca shoved my head into the mirror, banging the back of it repeatedly into the glass until I surrendered my grip on her. Once she saw that my hands were loosening up from her hair she let me go essentially dropping my ass
to the floor. I hit the floor like an old bag of bones, when a storm of people came rushing in. Where the fuck were they when I was getting my head kneaded like some damn dough? My vision was blurred and my words slurred as I continuously struggled to pull myself together and get up from the floor.

“B. What the fuck are you doing?” Damita stormed past the crowd with her mouth open eyeing the two of us.

“Nothing. We were just having a little girl talk. That’s all. Right, Sunset?” She turned to me as I stared at the blood excreting from my bottom lip.

When I didn’t respond, Damita came to my aid, snatching some paper towel from the dispenser placing a glob of it over the back of my head. “Oh my gosh. You’re might gonna need stitches, Sunset.”

“Naw, I should be good,” I admitted limping with my broken heel still on as Damita grabbed my belongings then helped me past Bianca towards the door.

She stood there like the best bitch had won. But this shit wasn’t over. I was already inebriated so she caught me slipping. This shit was no longer about Jeremiah and his affection. This was now a battle to the end between she and I. I couldn’t wait for the chance to see that dumb bitch again. She may have gotten me this time but I’ll rock that bitch’s head, busting her shit until the white meat showed next time.

  Chapter 11

  Later That Night

  Jeremiah

I knew she was mad. I knew I had fucked up when I brought up how she couldn’t hold a baby and that’s the reason why I went and made the two that I did with Sunset. I tried to explain to her that Sunset was actually an accident. I didn’t try to get her pregnant but once she did the first time, there was no going back. I wasn’t about to have her get rid of the baby especially when I wanted one. So I just dealt with the consequences.

But she didn’t seem to want to hear none of it. She went out dressed like she was about to go to the club with her tall thin heels and her red freakum girl dress on. She only did that shit to make me jealous, I knew. She wasn’t crazy enough to go out there with another nigga when she knew what she had at home. Granted, I wasn’t the most perfect man around but really, who was? No man was perfect.

After running some bath water half way, I lit her scented Glade candles all around the house. Every room had a different aroma so she would get the romantic seasonal affect. I took some leftover rose petals that we used to use during sex a few years ago and spread them from the front door to the bedroom. It had been a while since I seduced her like this so I knew that once she walked through that door she would be amazed and instantly want to drop to her knees to thank me for it.

I knew just how to handle Bianca so that she would fall back in line each time. It was nothing for me to pull out some old tricks I had been hoarding away for her to swoon over me all over again. Bianca was easy to please. She never wanted much from me but to love her. All the other hoes I had ever dealt with always wanted some kind of payment in return for their time. But Bianca came from money and had her own money so it was natural that I gravitated towards her rather than any other chick I had ever been.

The front door closed shut. She was back. I knew she wouldn’t be gone long. She just needed to blow off some steam. A smile peeled across my face as I removed my robe dropping it to the floor revealing my naked body. After sprinkling the last of the rose petals on the bed, I sprinkled some on top of my chest before tossing the bag over in the closet.

I leaned back waiting on her to enter the room and take me like it was the first day she had ever seen this dick. With a quick click of the remote, I got Trey Songz to help me set the mood with that Neighbors Know My Name joint. I was definitely going to do just that tonight.

“What the fuck is all this, J.?” Bianca walked in flicking on the light and shutting off the music, completely ruining the mood.

“Why the fuck— Damn girl. What the fuck happened to you?” My eyes bulged noticing her hair damn near ripped from her head and her clothes hanging half off her body.

“Shit. I finally got that bitch. That’s what happened?” Her lips were a bit swollen as she spoke it seemed.

  “What bitch?”

“Sunset. Yeah, I saw that bitch at the club tonight and I beat the motherfucking brakes off her ass.” Bianca fixed her fists in front of her, jumping around like a boxer in the ring who had just heard the bell.

“What do you mean? You told her to meet you in the club or something?”

“No, that bitch was already at the club with Damita. After the fight with you, I was just so heated that I needed to talk to her and knew exactly where to find her ass. My intentions weren’t to fight her at first. But once I saw her smug facial expression and caught wind of her “holier than thou” attitude, I just couldn’t resist hitting her at least one good time.” Bianca looked around the room at the romantic mood she was ruining. “Yeah, I did it. I finally got that bitch.”

I couldn’t do shit but shake my head at her excitement. She truly looked happy that she was able to fight her although from the looks of it, it didn’t seem like she was the one who won. I slid out of bed folding my hands as my elbows rested on my knees just watching as she danced round the room like she had just won the championship fight. Inside, all I wanted to do was laugh at her but in reality all I felt was pity for her.

“You know you look bat shit crazy right now right?” I spoke looking up at her weave flopping around her head.

“Yeah but you know I can fix this shit with no problems,” she smiled before popping her ass in my face.

“Naw, you missing it. I mean you look real stupid right now cheering that you fought that damn girl, man. I told you to leave her alone.”

“Jeremiah, I was leaving her alone. But—“

“Following her around town to pick fights ain’t exactly the idea I had in mind when I said leave her alone though, B.,” I sighed lowering my head to the floor. “Now I have to go do damage control because I still have to deal with her. That’s still my kids’ mother regardless of how much you don’t like her.”

“She was your kids’ mother only after I was already your girlfriend. You disrespected me by stepping out on our shit, motherfucka. So you don’t owe her shit. You owe me.” Bianca angrily thumped her fist against her chest proudly.

“All that may be true but you not making no sense coming in having fought her though. I’m saying, ask yourself one question. How do you feel now?”

  “I feel great!”

“You feel great, huh? Well ask yourself this, B. What did fighting her prove?” I stood headed for the closet as a dumbfounded look filled her face.

“Aye, why don’t you go clean yourself up? I made you a small bubble bath that you can warm up. I’m gonna head out for a little while.” Sliding my pants on, I didn’t even look in her direction.

“Now where the fuck do you think you’re going, J.?”

“You obviously need some time to reflect on what the fuck just went on tonight. I’m gonna give you that time cause I need some time too,” I huffed before sliding my polo over my head.

“No you ain’t. You’re not going anywhere, Jeremiah. You think I’m just gonna let you leave up out of here and go to that bitch’s aid? Hell naw. Fuck that.” Bianca grabbed my arm roughly trying to throw me back down on the bed but I didn’t budge.

“Look at yourself, B. You’re losing it right now. You’re losing yourself.”

“If I’m losing anything it’s because you are driving me to the shit, Jeremiah. I’m tried of feeling like this weak woman who doesn’t have control over her life. If anything, you’re bringing me down. Not the other way around,” she shrieked.

“Naw, baby. It’s self-esteem of your self. I can’t bring you down. I can’t change how you feel about you. That shit is all your head.” I stuffed my phone down in my pocket. “I’ll be back when I think you’ve had enough time to yourself.”

“Fuck yourself, Jeremiah. How about that? ‘Cause if you leave here tonight, don’t you even think about coming back here.” Bianca
folded her arms in front of her body and scrunched her lips up like she had me right where she wanted me.

“Bianca, you think you can keep me from my own shit? Did you forget my name is on the mortgage too? Shit, girl I ain’t thinking about you.” Waving her off, I headed for the bedroom door. “You seriously need to get your shit together. And, I’ll be back when that shit happens.”

“Argh! Jeremiah, if you leave out that door don’t you fucking bring your ass back here,” Bianca screamed at the top of her lungs as I headed for the front door.

“Man, what the fuck ever,” I shouted back thinking this bitch had to be out of her rabbit ass mind if she thought she was keeping me from my shit that I mostly pay for.

  Chapter 12

  2 Days Later

  Bianca

The sound of power drills echoed throughout my house as the locksmiths worked quickly and diligently to switch out the locks to my front, back, and garage doors. That motherfucka thought I was playing with his ass. If he wanted to get his shit it would be over my dead body. Jeremiah’s ass hadn’t called or came by in two fucking days. The sorry son of a bitch won’t even answer his phone for me. I’ve left numerous amounts of messages on his and his bitch’s phone ‘cause I knew they had to be together. I know he’s gotten every one of them. So since he’s ignoring me, let’s see how well he can ignore the fact that he won’t be able to use his key here too.

As the men finished up, I marched out of the bedroom heading clean out the front door to toss a few of Jeremiah’s clothes on the lawn. It all sat in one big pile on the grass with a white picket sign with the words Free stuck in the grass sticking out of it. My eyes locked on Myking heading up towards me from the crosswalk. He stared down at the pile of clothes oddly. I’m sure he was wondering what I was on but as he approached me, I couldn’t bring my lips to answer his unspoken question.
