The Perfect Wave

“Go on.” She was getting breathless, and I had to wonder what she was doing on the other end of the phone.
“Once you were panting, I’d leave your breasts and make my way down to your belly button, where I’d swirl my tongue and hold your hips still with my hands as you giggled. Unable to help myself, I’d move my tongue down between your legs and taste you. Every. Inch. Of. You. Until you screamed my name and pleasure rushed through your body.”
“Roan?” Her voice was low, and I heard her breath catch.
“Yeah, Locks?”
“Ignite me.”
“Are you wet, Locks?”
She exhaled. “Yes.”
“Are you touching yourself ?”
“Yes.”
“Ah Jess, I want to explode with you.”
Jess moaned, “It’s too late . . .”
I thought I was going to come undone.
“I’m already there,” she finished, breathlessly then let out a huge shuddering breath as she groaned into the phone.
Holy shit, this was one hot woman.
“Goldilocks . . .” I collected my thoughts. “Sunday night . . .” I tried again. “I’m really looking forward to it.” I said as the blood pulsed loudly through my veins.
Her breath was returning to normal, “Me too.”
After we hung up, I fell back to sleep with a smile on my face. My girl was like a perfect tube wave—exciting and heart pounding at first—then, as you drop down the face of the wave, and pull into the best barrel of your life, all you feel is pure joy. I couldn’t wait to get back to her.
The next few days were all the same: surf, party, talk to Jessica when I could. Before I knew it, Friday night came. I’d be leaving in the morning, but instead of going home, I had to make an unexpected trip to Park City, to meet with a few snowboarders and see what they had to offer. I would miss Blake’s game, which was a bummer, and I was also not going to see Jess, which was a huge disappointment. I’d wanted her for months and, now that she was mine for the taking, I had to wait even longer to be with her; it sucked.
There was a huge send-off party for our last night on the island. Matt and I would be back in a few months, and, hopefully, Jess would be by my side. The party was in full swing by the time I arrived, with bonfires, roasting pigs, music, and tons of people. The drinks and smokes were free for the taking. I partook in most of it and made sure to talk to everyone I could.
I was sitting, listening to the lapping waves and talking to a dude I’d surfed with on past trips, when Luana sat down next to me.
“Hi, Roan. Did you have a good trip?”
Fuck! Why couldn’t this chick stay the hell away from me? “I did.” I got up to leave, wanting nothing to do with her.
“Did I hear correctly that you have a girlfriend? I didn’t think you did the girlfriend thing.”
I froze. Then slowly turned around.
“Luana, stay away from me. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you away from anyone I care about and you know it. Don’t go there.”
Her eyes twitched and a small smile formed at the corner of her mouth. “A blonde Southern Belle . . . I had no clue that’s what you were looking for all these years.” She walked down the beach, her dark hair swaying in the ocean breeze.
How the hell she knew about Jess was beyond me, but this chick was sneaky. It shouldn’t have surprised me. I watched her walk away wondering if I was going to have to make good on my threats from a few years ago. I’d do whatever it took to make sure Luana and all her madness stayed far away from my inner circle.
“Hey, Roan, you have got to come try this!” Hamilton was calling me over to the fire pit, where he was drinking some homegrown concoction of hard-core liquor. I sighed out and tried to forget Luana and all the crazy that came with her.
I went over, took one whiff of the stuff, and backed away, my eyes watering from the smell. “That smells like shit!” However, wanting to rid Luana from my mind, I took a shot of whatever liquor they were serving.
Hamilton was cracking up. He’d clearly already had too much.
I stayed awhile longer, dancing, mingling, and partying hard. When things started to look fuzzy, I knew it was time to head back to the room and stumbled my way down the beach.
“Hey, Anders. Where you going?” Hamilton asked as he ran up beside me.
“I’ve had enough. I can hear myself slurring. Time to head in.”
“Catch you back in LA, man. Have a safe trip.”
We were on different flights home since I was now going to Park City.
In the hotel lobby, I reached in my pocket for my phone to call Jess and found it empty. Shit, my cell must have fallen out on the beach somewhere. I took an unsteady breath and headed back out. After a thorough search of where I’d been drinking with Matt, eaten dinner, and mingled with a few friends, I concluded it was lost. How was I supposed to work without my phone?
At the front desk, the manager wrote up a report and said he’d keep an eye out for it. Then he suggested I order a new one to be delivered to my hotel in Park City. Great idea, but didn’t solve my problem of needing my phone now. How was I supposed to reach Jess? Her number was programmed into that damn thing and I had never memorized it. I desperately wanted to talk to her. I was drunk, frustrated, and felt like punching someone in the face and knew her voice would settle some of the unease Luana had created.
On my way back to my room, Matt was suddenly by my side. “Hey, homeboy, someone gave this to me. I think you dropped it out by the bonfire.”
“Fuck, dude, I’ve been looking everywhere for that. Thanks.” Breathing a sigh of relief, I grabbed my phone from his hands and scrolled to Jessica’s number. She answered as I was entering my room.
“Hey, Locks. What are you doing?”
“Sleeping. Time difference, remember?” Her voice was husky, making me want to bail on Park City and hop a non-stop back to Los Angeles.
“Time difference, right. Jess, I’m so unbelievably horny. Do you have any idea what it’s like to hear your voice from thousands of miles away?
She giggled, asking, “Roan, are you drunk?”
“Hammered.” I felt I was getting drunker by the minute. Probably should have stayed away from the hard-core liquor that Matt had offered up. My tongue was thick, and my head was fuzzy. I told Jess I wanted to fuck her senseless and couldn’t wait to get back to LA. While that was exactly what I was thinking, it probably wasn’t the most romantic thing to say when we were oceans apart. I never let myself get that wasted.
“Jess, I’m gonna go to bed. I gotta sleep this off.”
That was the last thing I remembered until the morning.
was in a world of pain when I woke up on Saturday morning. A throbbing headache, dry mouth, and skin that was too tight for my body was going to make for an uncomfortable long-distance flight. This was one of the worst hangovers my body had felt in a while. That stupid homegrown liquor Hamilton made me drink really fucked with my system. He had to be in just as much pain. I moved to get out of bed and realized I was naked.
What the hell? I looked around the room, and everything was in its proper place. I must have passed out right after I took off my clothes. The last thing I remembered was talking to Jess.
In desperate need of a shower, I stumbled my way to the bathroom, turned the water on as hot as I could stand and tried to wash the alcohol from my pores. Feeling slightly better, I packed, sent Jess an email letting her know about the next leg of my trip, and took off to the airport. Hamilton and I had literally done nothing but surf and party, and my body felt it. Thankfully I slept the entire flight back to the states and woke up just before we landed, feeling like a new person.
As we pulled into the gate, I powered up my phone, hoping for a message from Jess. When I wasn’t in the water or on the phone this past week, she was all that entered my mind. Once it was at a full signal, the messages filtered in – fifty new emails and five voice mails, but none from Jessica. After shooting off a
text to let her know I’d landed in Utah, I grabbed my bag and exited the plane.
Unprepared for this sudden trip to Park City, my client’s sponsor had promised to have some things waiting for me at the hotel. My boards were being shipped home, but still, standing outside in the cab line, wearing shorts and T-shirt, my balls freezing up into my body, I knew I looked like a freak.
I called Jess as I waited, and the call went straight to voice mail. Frustrated, I left her another message.
“Hey, Goldilocks. I landed. Call me.”
A cab pulled up, and I jumped in, instructing the driver to go straight to the hotel.
I walked into the Stein Eriksen Lodge, one of the most upscale hotels in Park City and headed to the front desk. The long nap I’d taken on the flight had rid me of my hangover; I was ready to get this trip over with and head home to my girl.
A flash of blonde hair caught my attention and I zeroed in on what had to be one of the greatest shocks of my life. I blinked, trying to clear my vision. The corners of her lips turned up and her eyes crinkled at the edges, her face lighting in pure joy at having pulled off the most epic surprise anyone could deliver. My feet moved, one in front of the other, until I was standing in front of her. Jessica, my Jessica, dressed in a white T-shirt and black leggings, was holding the key to what I hoped was our room.
I shook my head and cupped her face in my hands as I kissed her. “No wonder, you weren’t returning any of my calls.”
“I didn’t want to wait until you got back from Park City.”
I pulled her in and kissed her hard, my tongue gliding across her lips.
“Where’s the key?”
She handed it to me and I locked her fingers with mine leading her to the hotel elevators. Once the doors closed and we were the only two around I pinned her to the wall and placed my knee in between her legs. “Locks,” I whispered into her mouth. “I have never been so happy to see anyone in my entire life.”
“I asked Mason where you normally stay and he told me here. I was hoping he was right.”
Kissing her cheeks, her eyes, the tip of her nose, I held her flush against the wall, impatient for the elevator doors to open on our floor and lead her to where we could be alone. The minute I heard the ding, and slide of the metal, I walked her out into the hallway and towards our room—my heart was hammering in my chest. This was it—after tonight, there was no going back; she would not just own a piece of me, but all of me.
hen Roan told me he wasn’t coming straight back to LA, my body twitched with unease. I did not want to go another second without solidifying the frenzy of emotions awakened between us. Three more days of longing wasn’t high on my agenda. I needed to see him, so I checked us into a huge one-bedroom suite and waited for his arrival. When he realized that I was standing at the front desk, the urgency in his step, and the excitement in his eyes told me he needed to see me as well.
Once inside our room, he led me directly to the bedroom, threw his bag on the floor, and pulled me to him capturing my bottom lip with his teeth. Desire pooled in my belly, my body recognizing that we were finally going to take this all the way.
His hands cold from being outside, slipped under the hem of my T-shirt and his fingers roamed all over my bare back. I shivered at his cool touch then instantly warmed as he deepened the kiss.
Pulling slightly away from my lips he huskily said, “Sorry, Locks, I know my hands are cold, but I have to touch you right now. I feel like I’ve been waiting my entire life for this moment.”
“Roan. Touch. Me. Everywhere.”
A loud groan released from the back of his throat and he tugged my T-shirt over my head, kissing his way from my lips down my neck, his tongue circling the hollow of my throat and stopping directly over my heart. “Why is your heart racing, Locks?” Placing one of his hands on my chest, he hovered his lips inches from mine. “Are you nervous?”
“No. Yes. Maybe a little.”
Using a finger to trace from my ear down around my jaw and up to my lips, my body quivered, as our eyes locked. “Talk to me, Locks.” Gently placing his mouth over mine and leading me to the bed, he continued, “It’s just us.”
“Roan, if this doesn’t work out . . .”
He shook his head and hugged me to him. “I know.”
“Roan, I don’t sleep around. This is going to mean something to me.” My legs were straddling his lap on the bed as he kissed my neck up and down following each kiss with a lick of his tongue. His hand moved between my legs and his fingers trailed back and forth. I moaned and wrapped my arms tighter around him.
“Thank God for that, Locks. I never played well in the sandbox and I won’t share you with anyone—ever.”
“Roan, I won’t share you either. I need to make that clear.”
He stopped kissing me and pulled his hand back up to my face. Staring directly in my eyes, he said, “Jessica, I don’t want anyone else but you. And that feeling scares the shit out of me, but you’re the only person I want. If we do this, you, alone, are it for me. I swear.”
My body instantly relaxed and I ran my fingers through his soft hair, pushing it away from his face. “You are all I’ve wanted since the first time I saw you.”
He took a deep breath and picked me up, moving me into the middle of the bed. Reaching behind me, he unclasped my bra and tossed it to the floor. His lips were instantly on one of my breasts, my nipple in his mouth, as his hand returned between my legs. He groaned, “Locks, I can feel your warmth through your pants.”
Hooking a finger in either side of my leggings, he peeled them down my legs, kissing my skin as he went until he reached my feet. Slipping off each of my sneakers, he grabbed my right foot and trailed a finger down the instep, following with his tongue. “Holy Hell, Roan, that feels good.” His lips curled up against my foot, and I melted a little more.
Sliding his hands back up the insides of my thighs, his fingers ignited me. His eyelids lowered as he spread my knees wide and gazed between my legs at my most private parts. Growling deep in the back of his throat, his eyes continued their heated perusal of me, causing desire to race through my entire body.
“I’m going to make you tremble like you never have before. Make you scream my name until you lose your voice, and make you feel so good that you won’t remember any other man’s name but mine. So lay back, relax, and let me drive you wild.” He looked into my eyes and grinned, “I’m going to taste you now, Locks.”
Without waiting for a response, he trailed his tongue along all my slick folds and I almost came undone with that one lick alone. “Perfectly sweet,” he whispered into my sensitive flesh, his breath brushing against my arousal, and then, did it again. The teasing was too much. My hips were bucking off the bed as he used his hands to still me. The sensation of his fingers resting on the inside of my thighs, so close to where his tongue had just done a slight dance with my body causing my inner core to tense and beg for more of what he was offering.
“Roan.” I was losing it - completely bared to him - and he was taking his time savoring me.
With one more sweep of his tongue, sparks flew through my body and I shuddered in release as his finger rose to my core and gently rubbed, extending my orgasm beyond the realm of anything I had ever felt before. The bed sheets were clenched in my fists, and my back was arched off the bed as the intense climax Roan pulled from my body caused my vision to blur and my eyes to fill with tears.
“I can’t believe that happened.”
“What’s that, Locks?” His breath was warm on my skin as he moved up my body. Everywhere our skin touched was like a fire blazing deep within me. His tongue was relentless, and he licked at me with such expert skill I felt as if my body was going to ignite into a raging inferno.
“I came and you barely touched me.” I could hardly speak, my insides gripping up again as Roan’s tongue explored every inch of my body.
“That was only the pre-show, Locks, and if it makes you feel better, I almost came too. You melt
in my mouth. This is better than my dreams,” he revealed.
He had made his way up my body and his lips were now covering mine, his tongue making its way inside. “You . . . dreamt about me?” I could barely get the words out, my attention elsewhere.
“Every night for the past three months, Goldilocks. Every damn night.”
I was completely bare, having experienced the most intense orgasm of my life; he was fully dressed. “Roan, why are you still wearin’ clothes?”
Looking down at himself startled, he quickly pushed off of me, ripped his T-shirt over his head, and slid his shorts off. Moving to lay beside me, I stopped him. This was the first time I’d ever seen him fully naked, and I wanted to take the sight of him in.
“I want to admire you for a minute.” Standing by the bed, in front of me, Roan stayed completely still as my eyes traveled from his defined chest, over a small scar just above his left nipple, down his sculpted eight-pack, to his impressive erection which was standing tall against his stomach and calling out for my touch.
Unable to keep my hands to myself, I trailed one finger along his cock, sending shivers through his body. Needing more, I encased him with my hand, and gently squeezed. He grunted and covered my hand with his, moving it up and down his shaft, showing me the pace he liked and the tightness my grip should be. His eyes closed, and his cock pulsed in my palm, growing longer, firmer, his hips thrusting along with my movements. A drop of wetness rose to his tip and I quickly licked it off, then ran my tongue around his rim.
It was all too much, I wanted him inside, needed the connection I’d been craving for weeks. “Roan.” My voice was hoarse, laced with desire and need.
Guiding me back onto the bed, he hovered above me as I continued the fluid motion of my hand around him. The tender look in his eyes made me love him a little bit more, and I melted when he leaned down and kissed me deeply and passionately.
