The Cowboy Rode a Harley

“No, it’s not. I promise you, it’s pleasure to the end. Baby, don’t make it harder.”
Oh, she liked when things got harder around him. Her gaze dipped to his jeans. No mistaking the bulge displayed. “Now, we’re getting somewhere.” She moved as he moved. Slowly, they circled the sofa. He faked a hard left and ended up diving over the center, taking hold of her jean skirt in his hands.
“Look what’s happened. I’ve caught a naughty vixen. And she’s mine. Didn’t I tell you I’d never let you go?”
“Almost did.”
“Never. Sometimes you need to give an untamed creature some rope. No need making her fight for what she wants in the end.”
He turned her in his arms, throwing his leg over her thighs. His expert fingers were at her zipper, lowering it, making her breath hiccup. He tugged the skirt down her legs, and then ran his hands over her leotard.
“I adore your hands on me.”
“Baby, I’ve been dying to see you in this get-up.” He smoothed his hand over her bottom. Then he roughly pulled her leotard down, off her shoulders, only slowing over her wrist, before he yanked it down over her hips, and off her legs. “Damn, you’re so beautiful.”
"What are you going to do to me?” Gillian fought the urge to bolt from Stephen's grasp.
“I thought we had an understanding. But I’m pretty sure one of us lost faith. All that work and then poof. Gone. Maybe, what we need is a reminder.”
“I was wrong—” The smack of his hand against her bottom made her see stars. The raw force snapped a jolt of fire into her belly while a heat wave cascaded down her thighs. She bucked against him, and then his hand swooped again. Slap. Another firmly-delivered smack, this time to the other side of her bottom. Her bottom sweltered. Hotter with two more of his powerful spanks. She closed her eyes, giving in to his command, absorbing the erotic desire he built within her.
Stephen murmured, “Now, do I have your full attention?”
Moisture filmed her eyes as she squirmed on his lap. He rubbed his hand slowly over her flaming rear-end. “What do you want?” she asked, her voice shaking slightly.
“Sugar, you know what I want. Now, what we do we need? Let's start with, do you trust me?”
“Yes,” she breathed. “With my life.”
His grasp on her slackened. He turned her over, cradling her body in his arms. “Good to hear that.” Stephen set her down on the sofa.
He kissed her, his mouth overpoweringly seductive, and she opened to him. All the way this time. Her heart, her body, her soul…she gave him. Gillian entwined her fingers in his hair, pulling him closer. His groan filled her completely.
She whispered against his mouth, “Babe, I love you.”
Her body was ready to burst. She watched him move off the sofa and onto the floor on one knee. “I wanted to wait until the right moment. But every moment with you feels right. Stay with me, forever. I’ll be your dance partner in life. I adore everything about you. I’m in love with you.”
“Stephen, I’m mad for you. Every single part. Especially the way you want me. Giving me my space, but then, in the bedroom, claiming me. Bedroom or in life, don’t ever let me go again. No matter what I say.”
The sexy grin spreading over his face made her go hot for him. “As the lady wishes.”
Strong arms hoisted her up into a fireman’s hold. Stephen walked with her over his shoulder all the way into his bedroom. “Do you remember the first time we made love? I thought I’d never be the same. You proved me right.” He ran his hand up and over her back, carefully depositing her on the bed. With a step back, he removed his shirt.
Licking her lips, she relished the sight of him giving her a strip tease. Her very own show. “Do you like spanking me? Or is it the discipline?”
“Darlin’, it’s the shape of your incredible ass, if you must know. And now it’s all mine. You’re right. I should never have agreed to share you. My mistake. It won’t happen again.”
Gillian sucked the tip of her finger. She rose, kneeling at the edge of the bed. “Then perhaps I should turn you over my knee. Smack your ass until it’s good and red.”
The fiery glint in his eyes made her gasp. Undressed, he was a maze of shadows and ridges crisscrossing his stomach, plank-hard. She couldn’t ever force him to do anything he didn’t want or desire. Then the thought hit Gillian and burst apart within her: Stephen McLemore had asked her stay with him forever. Sought her out. The infamous bachelor had hung up his traveling shoes for her. She’d longed for him, unable to figure out what to do, and he had come willingly. This man was hers.
“You’re not the only one with a claim to stake. Come here.” His soft chuckle washed over her, lighting a river of fire in her veins.
“Tell me your plan.” She craved him—the texture of his skin, the taste of his mouth, and the feel of him possessing her.
“I wanted to tempt you, and speak with you, skin against skin, today.” Stephen lifted her hand, turning her palm to face him. He bent over her arm, pressing warm lips to her skin. “I stopped by my mother’s early this morning before we went into town.”
“You normally do check in.”
“Most days. If I can make it. This time it wasn’t about food.” He settled behind her, hauling her between his legs, his arm encircling her waist. He smoothed his hands over her shoulder, moving her hair and then his lips were on her neck. With deliberate proficiency, he delivered nips and kisses, ending with suckling on the pressure point under her ear.
Time stood still. Her body tingled, from her toes up to her hair. She actually felt light-headed, in the very best of ways. The feeling of being safely held so tightly in his arms, until the world receded with her head against his shoulder, was heaven on earth.
He continued talking, “I spoke with my brothers and parents.” He coughed. “I went to pick up a family heirloom my mother’s been holding onto for me. I thought maybe you’d consider it.” A slight tremor rippled through his voice.
Her ears pricked. She raised her eyes, staring at the stone wall of his bedroom, feeling the strong, steady beat of his heart against her shoulder. Seated like this, she caressed his fingers, understanding he was telling her something important.
“What is it?” she softly asked.
“Let me show you. Then you can decide.” He took hold of her hand, gingerly lifting her fingers. There was a ring on his pinky that he slipped off, but she couldn’t see it.
His fingers held the ring he placed on the tip of her finger, moving it slowly upward. The warmth of the gold heated from his body permeated her skin. A beautiful, vintage diamond engagement ring shone on her finger.
Stephen turned her body to face him. “What do you think?”
“The setting is stunning. I don’t believe you. I love you, and this ring is perfect.”
“Then don’t take it off. Marry me, baby.”
“I love you. Yes. Yes.” She reached up and locked her arm around his neck. “Yes.”
“It was my grandmother’s, from my mother’s side. Never imagined slipping this ring on such a lovely finger until I met you,” he said in a husky voice.
Gillian feathered her fingers across his cheeks. “You’re a difficult man to nail down, babe. But you’re mine, Stephen McLemore. Now. And forever more.”
