Lost Faith [Grey River 1] (Siren Publishing Ménage Amour)
Page 15
It was a very decadent day, and it ended with them wrapped around each other, sleeping peacefully, all wearing mating bites proudly. Faith, true to her word, had claimed her men, and claimed them hard, and the brothers had loved every damn second of it!
Faith heard a voice calling her name, and when she finally came out of her memories, she heard Rowena laughing softly.
“Hello, Faith? Stop thinking about your men and talk to me. Hello?”
“Sorry, Rowena,” Faith laughed. “I was, um…thinking about…ah…what to cook for dinner.”
A disbelieving snort came over the phone line. “Whatever, Miss I-Have-Two-Mates-and-I’m-Not-Sharing. I know exactly where your mind wandered to, and I am utterly jealous!”
“Damn straight I ain’t sharing.” Faith mock growled. “Mine!”
The two women laughed and spoke together for another twenty minutes before signing off with the promise to talk again next week. Despite the laughter and fun they had on the phone each week, Faith knew that something was up in Rowena’s world. She had yet to share it with her, but Faith was confident that she would one day soon. Faith couldn’t shake the feeling that the doctor was in trouble, and because she didn’t know why or how to help, it made her uneasy.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” Trent’s voice came down their bond.
“Faith! What’s happened? We will be there in minutes, my love.” Ty’s voice came, too.
Faith was still getting used to the bond and link between the three. She knew how to put up the barrier but didn’t use it very often, as she loved being able to talk and sense what her mates were doing and feeling whenever she wanted to. All she had to do was reach out for them along their bonds. But sometimes she projected feelings when she was nervous or worried, and as usual, her mates would come running.
“I’m okay, my loves, just been talking with Rowena.” Faith sent her thoughts and a calming tone down their links. “I’m worried about her.”
Feelings of love and warmth flooded her through their bond. She stood up as she heard two vehicles slide to a halt outside their house. Minutes? More like seconds. In no time at all thanks to their enhanced speed, they were beside her and had her wrapped in their arms, Ty at her front, Trent curved along her back. Surrounded by her mates.
“Hmmmm, not that I don’t love getting some loving in the middle of the afternoon, but I thought the two of you were on shift until tonight?” Faith murmured as she snuggled further into their embrace.
Startled by a gentle throat clearing from the doorway, she looked up into the laughing green eyes of Brendan and Cody. She had so enjoyed getting to know them better over the past few weeks. They were such lovely guys and hotter than hot to loo—
Smack.
“Ow, what the hell, Ty?” Faith shouted, rubbing the sore spot on her ass his hand had just left.
“You don’t get to think those thoughts about anyone else but Trent and me.” Ty growled, the sparkling in his eyes softening the growl, and so very hot.
“I told you she thought we were better looking than you,” Brendan laughed and threw an arm around his brother. Although there was laughter in their tone and in their eyes, there was longing, too. They needed a mate. They deserved to be happy, too.
“Brendan,” Trent spoke quietly, always the voice of calm, “shut the hell up before I remove your spleen through your throat.” Or…not so much.
“Now, boys, let’s calm down and let my hotter-than-anyone-else hot mates tell me what’s got you all riled up?” Faith smiled as that got a bark of laughter from her mates and a grumble from the other two wolves in the room.
“It’s Parks, my love.” Ty’s eyes became serious, and the room quieted quickly. “Noah lost him up near Memphis. He thinks he is being helped by some rogue shifters who know how to hide from us. Noah is going to stay up that way to see if anything else comes to light, but we think for now he’s going to set up base there.” Ty pulled her into his arms as she processed that quietly.
“OK, well, I think he would be a fool to come anywhere near me or the kids, but if things change and he heads this way, then let him come. I know there will be nothing left of him to flush when my men get through with him.” Faith’s voice hardened toward the end. She was the mate to two alphas. She backed down from no one.
“You know, Faith, you are one badass alpha mate, that’s for sure.” Brendan hesitated for a moment then took a deep breath before he continued. “You saved your mates from a half a life. You brought them back from a really bad place where we couldn’t get to them, and we want to thank you for that,” Brendan said with a warm smile.
“Yeah, Faith, we can’t thank you enough for getting our alphas to pull their heads out of their asses.” Cody smirked as her mates growled in his direction. “You truly are an alpha mate, and our fealty lies with you always.”
With a friendly wave and a reminder that the poker game they had planned for their stag night was next week, they left the mated trio. The three of them were planning to visit the local registry office in just over a week, where she would officially marry Ty. But what Faith considered to be the real wedding would be once they returned to the pack and went through the Binding Ceremony down by the river, deep in pack land, with all their friends and family around them.
“What’s got that calculating look on your face, baby?” Trent asked as they began to herd her back toward their room.
“Your friends, betas, or whatever you want to call your inner circle of friends, they need to find mates. I want to have a bachelorette party, but I can’t go to a strip club alone. That would just be sad!” Faith grumped. She was suddenly surrounded by growling mates, who stripped her naked in seconds.
“There will be no male strip clubs for you at any time in your future!” Ty growled as he shredded her shirt.
Damn it! She had loved that shirt.
“Hell no! You want a man to strip down to a thong and gyrate to music for you on a stripper pole, then Ty can do it,” Trent grumbled as he shredded her jeans from her body. Damn wolves and their claws.
“Yeah, you—wait, what? I don’t fucking think so, Trent! You’re the one that Mama made take all those dancing lessons,” Ty accused, shoving his brother’s shoulder.
“Only because we had that school dance to go to and you already knew the moves, asshole!” Trent shoved back, and the bickering began.
Faith watched the two of them argue as she stood there naked. Naked! Faith spun to stomp into the bathroom but only got one step away before she was swept up and dumped on the bed.
“And just where are you off to, my love?” Ty stripped out of his clothes in record time then knelt on the bed. Faith shuffled back until her back hit the headboard as he stalked her across their huge bed.
“You seemed to have forgotten I was even here, so I thought I’d grab a shower,” Faith sniffed haughtily, eyes dancing. There was nothing better than playing and being with her mates.
“Now baby…”
Trent suddenly appeared naked beside her, and from the impressive erections her mates were sporting, her day had just taken a very interesting turn…and by interesting she meant a hot, dirty, fast, hard, and slow turn.
“We could never forget about you. That would be like forgetting to breathe. You are just as necessary to us.”
Faith felt her pussy clench. Oh, how they could get her aroused just by telling her of their very real and tangible need of her.
“We lost faith once, my love,” Ty spoke softly as he pulled her to lie between him and his brother. “We sure as hell won’t make that mistake ever again.”
And she had faith that they never would.
