Temptation's Hold [Temptation, Wyoming 4] Page 10

by Zoey Marcel

Chanel opened her eyes the next morning, surprised that memories of Lucius had crept into her dreams last night. She sometimes wished she could go back and slap her twenty-year-old self upside the head for ever trusting in that fiend.

She also yearned to go back in time to her eighteen-year-old self and tell her to flee from the handsome man who intrigued and gave her her first taste of submission and S&M. Her unbreakable addiction to BDSM and to Lucius himself had been unhealthy and perhaps borderline psychotic. Best not to ever go there again.

Chanel rolled over to see Cory Taylor sitting in a chair near her bed, watching her with a big, happy grin on his face.

“Good morning, my little Tootsie Roll.”

She sat up suddenly, grateful she’d worn flannel pajamas to bed rather than something skimpy to tempt him with. “Cory, what are you doing here?”

  “We spent the night.”

“You and your brothers? I told you to go home.”

He shrugged. “We chose not to.”

  “Well, that was rude.”

Brad’s voice came from the doorway where he stood. “No, darlin’, it was rude of you to throw us out after screwing us. We decided to teach you some manners.”

“By spending the night at my home uninvited?” she quipped.

“You invited us into your life just by spreading your legs for us.”

“How romantic of you. Tell me, Brad, do you charm all the girls this way the next morning?”

“No. You’re a special case, sweetheart. I told you last night if you slept with us then you accept what comes with that.”

  “An obnoxious stalker?”

“No. Three men who have no intention of letting you go.”

“That’s right, baby,” Cory chimed in. “We’re stuck on you now like flies on a steaming heap of crap.”

“What? That’s disgusting, Cory!” Chanel threw her pillow at him.

“What? I didn’t mean you were crap. I just meant we love you the way flies love shit. It was a compliment, really.”

Brad laughed. “We might need to work on your wooing skills, little brother.”

“Oh, like you’re any better, dragging a woman out of a party in front of all her friends and then barging into her home and spanking her with a belt,” she sassed.

Brad winked at her with a saucy grin. “I got you naked, didn’t I?”

She blushed. “Get out so I can dress.”

“Wear that. You look nice and cuddly in your Betty Boop pajamas.”

She smiled. “Thank you, but don’t get any ideas. Is that breakfast I smell?”

“Yeah, Dawson’s making buttermilk flapjacks and I made the bacon and eggs. It’s all ready.”

“I made the coffee,” Cory added proudly.

“That’s right,” Brad agreed with a teasing smile. “You were all over that on button.”

“Hey, I make damned good coffee.”

“I don’t deny it, but you can’t cook.”

“I know how to read the directions on the back of a box.”

  “True.”

Chanel got out of bed, not sure how to respond to the way Brad ogled her in her baggy pj’s or the way Cory stood and hugged her tightly liked they’d been separated for months.

“It’s so good to see you,” he told her.

“It’s good to see you, too, Cory, but it really hasn’t been that long.”

“Next time you should let us sleep cuddled up next to you in bed.”

“My bed’s not big enough. Besides, I sleep alone.”

“Not anymore,” Brad contradicted. “We had a bed specially made with you in mind.”

“I doubt that,” she snorted ruefully. “I’ll bet you tested it out a number of times with your little hos.”

His eyes narrowed defensively. “As a matter of fact, we didn’t. We wanted the first time in it to be with you. We keep it in a special room we designed for you at our place.”

Chanel was touched. “I don’t know whether to find that flattering or disturbing. Only a stalker would make a room for someone who doesn’t return their interest.”

“Oh, you’re interested, baby doll.” Brad stepped forward with a salacious grin. “In fact, I bet we could have you on your back with your legs spread in under a minute. You’re probably already creaming at the idea, aren’t you?”

Her cheeks warmed as she fled his hypnotic gaze and felt her slit moistening at his lascivious words and the inviting heat in his dark eyes.

Dawson called out to them from the kitchen. “It’s ready!”

“I’m going to go brush my teeth real quick.” She brushed past Brad, squealing when he gave her a playful swat on the butt.

Having breakfast with the three Taylor brothers was endearing. Waking up with them in her apartment felt like a warm ray of sunshine after being trapped in a bad dream like she was last night. They brought her comfort, security, and peace.

But hadn’t Lucius brought her all those things before he turned on her? Men definitely knew how to give a woman a good time, but Chanel had learned the hard way that they couldn’t be trusted. Best not to fall into that grief-ridden trap again. She wasn’t a naive eighteen-year-old girl anymore. She was an older, wiser, and stronger thirty-three-year-old woman with knowledge and experience under her belt. She wouldn’t make the same mistakes again.

“Everything is delicious,” she told them, savoring each bite.

“Dawson’s a great cook,” Cory agreed. “It would be nice living with a man who shared some of the cooking responsibly, huh?”

  “It would.”

“Sweet. I’ll help you pack after this.”

Surely he was only joking. “What?”

“It’ll go a lot faster if we help you pack.” He fished around his plate to gather some scrambled eggs.

“Cory, I’m not moving in with you guys.”

He forked the food into his mouth, seeming genuinely surprised. “Why not?”

“Because I already have a home. I live here.”

“If we’re going to have a serious relationship then you may as well come live with us,” Brad said nonchalantly as he took a swig of orange juice.

“What serious relationship? Last night was a lot of fun, I’ll admit. It was a really hot night I’ll always remember, but that’s all it was.”

“But what about what Brad said last night?” Cory reminded her. “We’re playing for keeps with you.”

“That may have been your understanding of the situation, but it wasn’t my motive,” Chanel stated plainly.

Brad folded his arms and pinned her with his calculating stare. “And what was your motive, Chanel?”

Something about his expression seemed to chastise her for keeping secrets from them.

  “Pleasure, nothing more.”

“And you have no desire to start a family with us?” he challenged.

Chanel grimaced inside, mind racing back to the three condoms she deliberately sabotaged last night. He couldn’t possibly know that. “With you, no.”

She stood and took her plate over to the sink, trying to escape the eyes that followed her.

Cory got up after her. “But you want a family. I know you do. I saw that cute little baby outfit in your dresser. You want babies and we’re more than happy to help you make them.”

She laughed lightly. “I’ll bet you are.”

“So what’s the problem? You want it and we’ve got it.” He grinned and massaged her butt while she rinsed off her plate. “And we want it and you’ve got it. Sounds like a winning deal to me.”

His reasoning made her giggle, but the hand groping her ass made her horny again. If she could somehow get them to leave soon, she might be able to avoid a reiteration of last night’s tryst. “I thought maybe you were planning on moving in here with me when I saw your toothbrushes and men’s deodorant in the bathroom earlier.”

“Cory went to the store earlier to get us some things so we could freshen up this morning,” Dawson explained. “We always want to sme
ll and taste our best for you.”

Her heart fluttered, wanting very much to taste those minty breaths and run her hands all over their strong, manly bodies again.

Not a good idea. Last night had been too powerful and moving for her to handle. She’d lost control with them in a way she hadn’t since being with Lucius. And somehow this was different, so much more.

They must never know. Feelings destroyed, but hormones were a nice rush that needn’t leave her depending on one person for her fix since men were replaceable. But true love wasn’t and deep down, Chanel knew that she was very much in danger of falling into that trap with these three if she hadn’t already.

“That’s sweet, but you guys will have to be on your way here soon since I have some packing to do.”

“No, no. I said I’d help you with that,” Cory reminded her.

She rolled her eyes. “I’m not moving in with you. I meant I have to pack for my trip to visit my family for Christmas.”

“We’ll drive you to the airport.”

“I’m driving to California this time instead of flying, remember?”

  “Oh, yeah. That’s crazy.”

“I’d offer to travel with you for protection and companionship, but our folks are flying in to visit us this year for Christmas,” said Dawson.

Chanel smiled, secretly admiring the allure of his round face and the cuteness of his pointed nose. “That will be nice. Tell them hi for me. I haven’t seen them in a while.”

“And whose fault is that?” Brad asked. “If you were ours you could see them all the time.”

She hoped the glee over the idea of being theirs wasn’t etched out obviously all over her face. “And what would your parents think of their three sons all shacking up with the same woman?”

Cory shrugged. “They’d probably say something along the lines of ‘boys will be boys.’”

Dawson smiled at her warmly. “I’ll tell them you said hi.”

“Thank you.” A stream of affection circulated through her when Cory played with her hair. “Don’t you boys have some place to be?”

“Only here with you and inside of you,” Cory returned with a suggestive wiggle of his eyebrows.

Her body warmed at his lewd innuendo.

Brad folded his arms and eyed his little brother. “Aren’t you supposed to open the bar today?”

Cory’s eyes widened and he ran toward the bathroom. “Oh, crap! I’ll see you guys later. Let me grab my stuff real quick.”

Dawson polished off his coffee. “I’ve got to be heading in to work, too. Thanks for your hospitality, Chanel.”

Brad grinned. “I’m not sure it counts as hospitality when the guests barge into the person’s home uninvited and spend the night when asked to leave.”

Dawson chuckled. “Yeah, I guess that’s true.”

“That and you all made me breakfast while I slept in,” Chanel reminded them. “I don’t exactly think that makes me a gold-star hostess.”

“Well, you are in my book. I felt completely at home here and I never want to leave. I’d say you did an awesome job making us feel welcome.” Dawson approached her and planted a delicate kiss on her forehead that lingered long after his soft lips retreated. “I’ll see you later, honey.”

“You, too.” She watched him mosey down the hall into the bathroom, presumably to brush his teeth as Cory was. He filled out those jeans quite nicely. His butt was asking to be grabbed or smacked.

Brad stood and carried the soiled dishes into the kitchen. “I’ll do the dishes.”

“That isn’t necessary. I don’t want to keep you from your job. I’m sure you have some little subs to spank and call you Sir.”

His eyes laughed at her as he rinsed the plates off and loaded them into the dishwasher. “The club is closed on Sundays. It’s not open on Mondays either, so theoretically I have all day today and tomorrow to pester the living shit out of you and make you a mighty happy woman.”

“Oh, great.” She rolled her eyes, feeling her heart skitter with anticipation. “Well, I’m leaving in a few hours and I have a long drive ahead of me, so there go your plans.”

“I can give you a quickie if that’s what you need. Hell, I can drive you if you like.”

Thoughts of a quickie with him elated her, but his latter suggestion freaked her out. “No. I’m going alone.”

“It’s not safe to drive all that way alone. What if you get lost or break down somewhere?”

  “I have a map. I’ll be fine.”

Dawson came out of the hall with Cory and both stepped into their boots. “You should at least let me take a look at your car for you before you go to make sure everything is running properly.”

“Thank you, but there isn’t time,” Chanel insisted.

She still had to pack and buy another crystal ball from the magic shop before she left, since she smashed the other one with a baseball bat in the heat of the moment. Finding Lucius would be impossible without it. Hopefully he was still in Las Vegas.

“What if someone hijacks your vehicle, or pulls you out of the car and rapes you?” Cory looked worried.

“On the busy interstate I’ll be flying down?” Chanel teased. “I’m not worried.”

“You should be. There’s a lot of weirdos out there just waiting to catch a pretty little lady like you alone. Damn it, I don’t like this. Don’t talk to strangers or accept any treats from them.”

She snickered. “I’m not a child or a dog, Cory. I know how to handle myself.”

“Not as good as we know how to handle you.” Brad winked at her and then moved to massage her shoulders.

His touch did a number to her. It proved as relaxing as it did stimulating. “You can’t go a day without uttering some kind of innuendo, can you?”

He sounded like he grinned. “I don’t know. I never tried.”

“Call me every hour and at any rest stops you make,” Dawson urged her.

“The consideration is sweet, but honestly don’t you think you boys are overreacting just a teensy bit?” she asked.

Brad stood by her side and shook his head. “No. We have your best interests at heart and you’ll do as you’re told. I want you to show me which route you’re taking so I can estimate where you’ll be at all times.”

“Oh, for god’s sake, Brad, why don’t you just put a tiny chip in me so you can track all my movements?”

“I’d follow you myself for your protection if we weren’t expecting our folks to fly in.”

“Each of you is crazy in his own special, messed-up way.”

The men chuckled at this. Dawson and Cory said good-bye to them before leaving.

Chanel grew nervous and strangely excited when she realized that she was now alone with Brad.

  * * * *

Brad felt his pulse quicken until it settled in his groin, steady and determined. He had Chanel alone. His brothers had each gotten to be with her one on one before, but so far he’d only shared her with them. What would it be like to have her all to himself? To hear her say his name with a contented sigh after he made her good and happy?

She seemed nervous to be left alone with him, but he knew how to break the ice. He wandered down the hall and into her room while she cleaned up the table. According to Cory, her handcuffs were kept in a drawer of her nightstand near her bed. There they were.

Brad wondered where she kept her sex toys. After the account Cory gave him of her topping him in bed, Brad would be willing to bet the woman had at least experimented with a few sex toys.

He wondered if she’d ever bottomed for anyone before. Probably not. He might have to take it slow with her. Ah hell, why not just go for it? She’d already proven herself feisty and kinky enough to take whatever they would give her.

He set the handcuffs on her bed and met her halfway down the hall. She appeared indignant to see where he came from. “What are you doing in my room?”

No answer would please her, but he knew what would. He closed the distance between the
m, enjoying her nervous anticipation the closer he drew to her. Placing his palms gently on her cheeks, Brad bent down to kiss her softly, deeply. He smiled against her lips when he heard the feeble moan she couldn’t suppress quickly enough. She liked what he did to her.

Brad pulled back, pleased when he saw the battle raging in her eyes. She wanted him badly, but she held back. Her pale green irises swam with desire, yet uncertainty and perhaps even fear lurked in their entrancing depths. He didn’t want her to fear him. Respect him, sure, but never fear him.

“You taste like bacon,” Chanel said with a sassy half smile.

He knew that tactic well. She often lashed out with insults or sarcasm whenever she was cornered or aroused beyond her control. She feared letting go for some reason, but he wouldn’t let her hold back with him or push him away any longer.

“And you taste like maple syrup. See how perfect we are together?” He responded to her comment with his own lighthearted remark, but made it a point to gaze deeply into her eyes while gently tracing her lips with his thumb to undo her. He wouldn’t let her hide from him, not anymore.

It worked. Her lower lip trembled and her breaths became sharp and quick while her little mind seemed to race for an excuse to be rid of him rather than face what she couldn’t fight. “I have to pack.”

“You also have to change out of these pajamas. I can help you with that.” He covered her neck with kisses, nipping and sucking on the sensitive flesh and eliciting tiny sounds of bliss from her. The blood rushed through him as he slowly unbuttoned the red buttons on the front of her pajamas.

She didn’t fight him. Her hands caressed his back and gave his ass a firm, appreciative squeeze. His sounds became guttural as raw instinct took over and he ensnared her in a frenzied kiss and pressed his erection against her. It strained against the zipper, trying desperately to get to her. Her breath caught suddenly when she felt it against her bare skin and began clawing at him in a frantic attempt to rid him of his clothes.

Brad caught Chanel up in his arms while they made out, carried her into the bedroom, and lowered her to the bed. Her perfect tits were full and swollen with need for him. He could stare at those babies all day long.

“I love your breasts. They’re absolutely perfect.”
