She remembered those eyes. Looking into them again brought her peace and pain.

She took the condom from him before he could put it on. “None of you commented on my Christmas decorations or the poinsettias over there.”

The men turned their attention to the holiday flowers and various other points of interest that boasted the decorations she’d put up.

Chanel made it a point to get Dawson’s condom on quickly before they saw what she did. She felt Brad’s eyes burning into her and tried to keep from meeting his gaze. Surely he hadn’t seen. He would’ve said something.

“The place looks real nice,” Cory complimented her before pulling out.

“It does and I love the flowers,” Dawson added.

Chanel smiled at him. “Take your clothes off. I want to see you.”

He seemed reluctant as he kicked off his boots and shucked his jeans and underwear.

  “Good. Now the shirt.”

His countenance twisted with discomfort over her request as he knelt on the floor to be with her. “Just the jeans this time.”

The way Dawson held back with her and hid his body from her saddened Chanel. Did he not think her worth undressing completely for? Was he really that self-conscious over his body? Didn’t he know how much he turned her on? She loved his body. She always had.

All was forgotten when he pulled her onto his lap so she straddled him. The feel of his smoldering genitals flirting with her saturated slit sent the knowledge of everything else out the window. She had him in her arms again. It was all that mattered.

“Get on top of me.” She tried to pull him forward so he lay on top of her, but he didn’t budge.

“I thought we’d do it this way so I can touch you,” he explained.

The position, while arousing, would cause his semen to run out of her faster once he ejected. “Can’t you touch me in the missionary position?”

Embarrassment and regret graced his features. “Not with my belly in the way. I’m not in shape like Brad and Cory.”

His answer killed her. His weight bothered him. But why? He wasn’t obese. Sure he had some extra weight on him, but it was just enough to make him a cuddly teddy bear while still retaining an enormous level of sex appeal. She probably wouldn’t be able to pull off a few extra pounds very well, but he did a splendid job of it.

The way he spiked his short blond hair and made it stylish with gel was very trendy and cute. The light in his blue eyes, his sexy laugh, and the familiar features that she adored about his round face were all part of the man she loved.

His style of dress was so classy with the long-sleeved, button-up shirts he wore with nice jeans and cowboy boots.

The erotic scent of his cologne always drove her crazy with desire for him. He was a very clean and well-groomed person, which she always appreciated about him.

She loved hugging his thick waist because it gave her something to hold on to. She could only imagine how comfortable he would be to sleep on at night.

Chanel wouldn’t change a damned thing about him, but to address the issue of his low self-esteem while his brothers were in the same room with them would be awkward and undoubtedly humiliating for him. She would tell him sometime when they were alone together.

“This position is really hot,” she purred, rubbing the material over his chest. “I don’t know if I’ve ever done it like this before.”

“Oh, please!” Cory guffawed. “You spanked me with a frigging blind wand and you expect—”

Brad cleared his throat and Cory shut up.

Dawson smiled at her coyly, gasping when she gripped his protected organ and poised it at her entrance. Chanel spread her thighs and pushed down on the crown of his penis, parting her folds on him. She pressed harder and her pussy swallowed his stiff cock, making them both gasp. She sank down on him slowly, unable to believe how thick his girth was. He was definitely the thickest of his brothers. Brad had the longest cock, Dawson had the thickest, and Cory was somewhere in the middle.

She rocked her hips and moved up and down on her old lover, trying to tamp down on the ancient feelings for him that always seemed to simmer just below the surface of her control, waiting to emerge and announce themselves boldly once again. God help her if they knew how she really felt.

Chanel moved up and down against him as he massaged her sensitive bundle of nerves while they made love. The woodsy, musky scent of his cologne mingled with the lighter fragrance of her perfume and the heady odor of sex that made her dizzy with ecstasy.

The sound of latex squeaked during the swiftest of his thrusts and the feel of their groins perspiring against one another as they ground against each other was touching and private on an almost sacred level.

Her fingers splayed through the stiff lawn of his gelled hair as she rode him, succumbing to the tingly urges of her approaching finale.

The feel of his lips imprinted on her sensitive neck bewitched her, and the smooth brush of his linen shirt paying homage to her beaded nipples added an extra edge to the session that she knew would send her over.

“Oh, Chanel, I’ve missed you so much. I always hoped this day would come. Now you’re truly ours.”

Her heart ached and she felt like a heartless bitch when she heard what he said and saw the amorous expression on his sweet, smitten face. He was still in love with her. But he couldn’t be. She couldn’t be with all three of them.

When Dawson kissed her, Chanel felt her heart breaking. She remembered that kiss. All through the years of their separation it haunted her with the luscious, beautiful memory. His lips were just as soft and his mouth just as minty and sweet as she recalled. In fact, his skill seemed even better than before. Like fine wine, the taste of his mouth seemed to have improved with age.

Her heart swelled with emotion just as her clitoris filled with blood, and both seemed past the point of no return. Her mouth abandoned his as she lost her breath and sobbed with delight over the gentle waves of pleasure rolling in over her. When they became more intense he swallowed her cries with his hungry mouth, moaning at the aggressive suction on his inserted dick as her cunt clamped down on him and held on for dear life.

Chanel whimpered into his mouth, feeling the tears fall softly down her cheeks. It felt just like the first time with him, minus the pain of losing her hymen. The magic between them was still there. Every kiss, every touch enchanted her and set her soul on fire. She’d wept back then after they made love, unable to believe how good everything felt and how much she loved him. And she was weeping now, praying they didn’t see the tears in her eyes once he moved away from her.

Dawson’s feral outcry in her mouth made her want him even more. She dug her knuckles into his scalp and devoured his mouth, squeezing her pussy to enhance his enjoyment. His manic sounds were heavenly, and it sent a wild thrill through her when he grabbed hold of her tighter and held her still while he jerked his hips up as he banged her pelvis and poured his release into her.

“Hot damn!” Cory exclaimed. “I say we all go again.”

As enticing a thought as that was, Chanel knew they would do her in if she went another round with each of them. She felt too much. She was weeping silently, for god’s sake. She couldn’t lose control with them again or she just might ask them to stay. They would never let her go if they realized how much power they had over her.

“I need my sleep,” she said quietly. “I have a long drive ahead of me tomorrow.”

“We scared you off, huh?” Cory teased.

She smiled, trying to discreetly brush the tears from her face without them noticing. “No. I’m going home for Christmas like I always do.”

“It would be quicker to fly,” Brad reasoned.

  “I like long drives.”

Dawson lifted her chin so she held his gaze and gently wiped the tears from her cheek. “Are you okay?”

“I think I have something in my eyes.”

  “Like a heart?” Brad taunted.

  She rolled her eyes.
Very funny. I’m just tired. That was really amazing. I needed that badly. Thank you.”

  “Thank you,” Dawson breathed.

“Way to go, Dawson. Talk about kissing the girls and making them cry,” Cory teased.

Dawson frowned. “I didn’t mean to.”

Chanel cupped his smooth cheek, melting into his beautiful eyes. “No, you were wonderful. It was even better than I remembered.”

His face lit up. “It was for me, too. And just think, we have a whole lifetime of that ahead of us.”

Her heart died inside and she stood, watching his penis slip from her sex. “We don’t have to talk about the future tonight. This was really fun and hot, but I need to sleep and you guys should be heading home before it starts snowing again.”

“We have four-wheel drive,” said Brad with a shrug of his shoulders.

“Yeah, we thought we’d spend the night and then tackle you in the morning before or after we make you breakfast, whichever you’d prefer.” Cory grinned and winked at her.

A positively delicious suggestion that must never come to fruition. “Well, you thought wrong.”

“Oh, hell,” Dawson complained when he yanked his condom off. “Mine ripped, too.”

“So did mine!” Cory blurted. “And Brad’s, too. What the heck? Maybe they’re making these little crappers cheaper than they used to.”

Chanel hurried toward the hall to avoid any questions, cupping her crotch to keep Dawson’s precious seed inside of her. “Gentlemen, I appreciate all the attention. It’s been fun, but I need to shower. You’re welcome to see yourselves out after you clean up and dress.”

“Or we could come in there and shower with you.” Cory waggled his eyebrows at her.

“I shower alone. Have a good night.” Chanel quickly lowered her eyes when she saw the hard, reprimanding way Brad stared her down. Was he irritated by the way she threw them out after sex, or did he suspect that she’d poked holes in their condoms? And if he was on to her then why didn’t he say anything?

  Chapter Five:

  Echoes from the Past

Fourteen years ago – San Francisco, California

Chanel saw Lucius get up and dress. She looked at the clock on the nightstand after he quietly slipped out. It was half past three. Where was he going? She quickly dressed and followed him out of the house. He didn’t get in the car, merely strolled down the vacant street, meandering through neighborhoods and occasionally looking over his shoulder as if he worried he might be being followed.

At one point, his pace quickened and she lost him. A few minutes later, she heard a strangled cry from someone that was quickly snuffed out. Her heart pounded in her chest as she hurried toward the noise. It was hardly safe to be roaming through the city alone at night, but she had to know where Lucius was going and what he was up to. It wasn’t like him to sneak out at night.

Chanel heard growling in the dark and shivered. At least the full moon penetrated the darkness to a degree. She rounded a corner and gasped when she saw a man lying lifeless and the biggest black wolf she’d ever seen mauling him as though he were feeding on a deer.

“Shoo! Go away!” She advanced toward the predatory animal to scare him off, though the man looked too messed up to still be breathing.

The wolf lifted his head and snarled at her before charging. She ran, screaming and calling for help, hoping someone would hear her at this godless hour in such an isolated alley. When she glanced back over her shoulder, the wolf was gone and she collided with a solid wall of muscle in front of her. A slight shriek escaped her before the strong, comforting arms of her Master surrounded her and his deep, soothing voice coaxed her to silence.

“Oh, Lucius!” Chanel sank into his loving, protective embrace, feeling as though he’d suddenly lifted her troubles from her and everything would be all right now because he was here with her. “Some poor man just got eaten by a wolf! I tried to scare him off, but he came after me.”

“Shh. It’s all right. There’s no need to be afraid,” Lucius crooned softly. “You’re safe now.”

She squeezed him tighter. “Why did you leave?”

“I just wanted to go for a walk.”

  “Alone?”

“Well, I would’ve liked to have had you along, but you were sleeping. I didn’t want to wake you.”

“Next time tell me. I need you to be safe.” Chanel ran her palms up his buff arms, enjoying the firm thickness of them. It startled her when she felt a patch of hair that was so thick it felt like fur. She glanced at it in shock when she saw it slowly disappearing.

“We should head back now,” he advised.

She noticed the dark, wet streaks on his fingers and at the corners of his mouth. The moonlight revealed eyes which bore a subtle yellow glow and were shaped more like a beast’s than a man’s. He looked at her curiously as she stared at him.

“Lucius, your eyes and your hands.” The words were barely a whisper as a horrifying reality came to light. “It’s you. You’re the wolf that killed that man.”

“That’s absurd.” His lips denied her accusation, but his eyes wouldn’t lie. They readily accepted her allegation without shame.

“Oh my god,” Chanel breathed in devastation, feeling the burn commence in her eyes. She wasn’t sure whether to be afraid or heartbroken over the discovery. “You’re cursed.”

“It’s not a curse, Chanel, it’s a gift. I have power. Real power that most only dream about.”

She pulled her hand from his when he took it and shuddered that he dared to touch her with the hands he’d just used to shed innocent blood. “Don’t touch me! I don’t know you.”

She tried to walk away, but he stepped in front of her to stop her and dared to touch her with his malevolent hands again. “Don’t go. We can talk through this and I’ll make you understand.”

“I don’t understand and I’m not sure I ever will. Just stay away from me.” She tried to hurry past him so he wouldn’t see the tears in her eyes, but he caught hold of her and pushed her up against the brick wall.

“You can’t even say that without crying. You don’t have the strength to walk away from me, or perhaps you have the good sense not to.” Lucius ran his fingers through her hair, admiring the strands he played with.

Chanel swallowed down her fear and her scalp prickled with dread. “What is that supposed to mean?”

“I think you know what it means,” he whispered darkly. “We’re bound to one another on a deep, unbreakable level and I don’t think you would like the ramifications of leaving me.”

“Is that a threat?” Her lower lip trembled when he traced it lightly with his thumb.

“No, princess. That’s merely my way of telling you that I will never let you go. You need to know you’re unforgettable to me, but not untraceable.”

There was no mistaking the lethal warning in his eyes. She wanted to flee from him in that moment, but questioned the safety of doing so.

“Are those tears I see?” He caught a falling droplet with his tongue. Her tears never failed to arouse him. “You want me to fuck you, don’t you?”

Her head swam with a thousand thoughts at once as she felt her jeans being opened. “What are you doing?”

“Giving you what you need. Nothing’s changed, Chanel. We still belong together and you still respond to my touch even if you are in shock right now.”

They weren’t the same, the wolf that killed that man and the man she shared her darkest secrets and deepest intimacies with. They couldn’t be. The memory of what he just did haunted her, but his touch reconnected her to him in a way she desperately needed to be connected in this harrowing moment of startling truths and sweet lies. Surely this was all a nightmare from which she would soon awaken.

His eyes were their normal shape now, but the shadow over them was like looking into the face of a stranger. She didn’t know him, but she knew his touch. He was her Master. He would never hurt anyone. He wasn’t a monster.

  “You have no cont
rol over it, right—when you’re the wolf?” Chanel shivered at his insistent touch on her pussy.

His eyes were knowing and reprehensible. “Is that what you need to hear—that I’m sorry for what I’ve done, that it will never happen again?”

“Yes.” She inhaled suddenly when his finger sank into her core and she was unable to fight the tiny mewl stemming from the chemistry they shared.

His eyes heated at the sound and he smiled deviously. “You like that.”

It wasn’t a question. Lucius knew her all too well for comfort and played her like an instrument only he seemed experienced enough to handle.

She struggled to speak amidst the growing pressure in the region his fingers worked their poisonous skill. “You’re not the same. That wolf isn’t you. You’re not a killer.”

Chanel wasn’t sure if she was asking him or trying to convince herself of his true identity.

His eyes darkened and his tone took on a deadly authority that was sugarcoated in tenderness. “Nothing’s changed, Chanel. Killer or not, I’m still your Master. No flaws or misdeeds can erase the hold I have on you. I have absolute power over you. You know that.”

  “Yes,” she whispered.

“And every day and night it grows stronger. You’re not coming for a killer, slave. You’re coming for your Master. Say it.”

“I’m coming for you, Master.” Her climax was soft and gentle, rolling through her like a caressing summer night breeze.

“Our bond transcends right and wrong. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.” He licked her cream off his fingers with a satisfied groan and undid his pants.

  “What about Trevor?” she asked.

“I would never hurt you or the baby. I promise.”

As Lucius took her up against the wall in that dark alley, she’d believed in that promise with all her heart. But it was a promise he wouldn’t keep.
